Q: Ideacentre K450e stuck at lenovo logo

A couple hours ago I restarted my PC, and since then it hasn't gotten past the lenovo splash screen. I can't even boot into the bios by pressing F12. I've even opened it up and disconnected all the harddrives, and disconnected every cable except HDMI and power, and it still won't get past the lenovo logo. I need to get back on this PC asap so please help, thanks in advance.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Any way to get a copy of the BIOS/GPT for Lenovo Model=K450e Desktop (ideacentre) running win 10 all updated. I have the Latest BIOS also. I have a PC that will not restart that is it will shut down and when it starts to reboot it freezes at the Lenovo screen and I have to do a hard shutdown using the power button .The PC will then boot up. It does this with two different drives which leads me to believe the problem may be with the BIOS/GPT . Is is posible to repair them? Can you install a new copy of the BIOS/GPT over the old one ? Thank You

So my problem is as the title says.. Well it started when I opened my laptop from sleep mode then it was hanging up and then it suddenly turned blue with sad face.. I didn't read the problem clearly but i remember it saying a problem about "kernel_????_????"..

I tried to hard reset my laptop cause it was taking so much time then it ended up stuck on the logo... Now I'm the one with the blue sad face...

Hope you guys can help me as soon as possible., thanks in advance..

A:lenovo flex 15 is stuck on lenovo logo

Right, you mentioned it turned blue with a sad face, that is a Blue Screen of Death (or proper term is Kernel bugcheck) which indicates something has gone wrong.

Hello. I have 3 year old Lenovo Y50-70 laptop. Couple days ago i decided to finally upgrade to SSD. The old HDD was 1TB WD 10SPCX and i replaced it with 480GB Kingston UV500 SSD. When I swapped the drives and tried to boot, I was stuck on completely black screen with only Lenovo logo. This ocured when I tried to enter Novo menu using Lenovo Novo button as well. I tried to put back the old HDD and it was working normally. When i pulled out both disks and tried to boot only from bootable USB this problem did not occur. Then i tried to plug the SSD to some HP desktop computer and I was able to install windows there and boot on the desktop normally. So I put the SSD back into my laptop and again i was stuck on the logo. However, because Windows was now installed, I was able to boot after being stuck on the Lenovo logo for some time. Then I tried to change the SATA controller mode. I tried both Compatible (IDE) and AHCI modes and installed fresh windows using both settings but still I was stuck on the cursed Lenovo logo. The lag lasted ~1 minute when usind the IDE and 6-7 minutes using AHCI setting.  My bios version is the same as the version available for donwload on my laptop drivers page (V3.03). Using bios options to restore to defaults or OS optimized defaults did not make any difference. All the drivers are installed and up to date, though I think this is irrelevant as the problem first occured before any OS was present.  Could it be t... Read more

I just purchased IdeaCentre K450 from Bestbuy. In addition I also purchased 2 Seagate 3TB Backup Plus USB drives. All three USB drives were plugged in to the K450.When the Windows Updates automatically rebooted the PC, it got stuck on the Lenovo BIOS logo.It will not bypass it until I remove or power down all the USB drives that attached to it. I did check the BIOS and make sure that it's not trying to boot from USB. I made the Local Hard Disk as the number 1 priority when booting. I don't know what is going on. I think Lenovo will have to update the BIOS. SInce it's a newer product, my guess is I will have to wait for a little bit. I called the support line and they have no clue what is going on. They only advise is to post it in the forum and see if anyone else has the same issue. *no comment* I guess this is a weird one because when I tested by plugging in an "EMPTY" 4GB USB jump drive, it will boot just fine.I'm not sure if it's because the Seagate Backup Plus was a 3TB drives or it has "certain" content inside the jump drive. If any fellow K450 users has the same issue, please post it here so the Lenovo "engineer" be able to see that there's an issue out there. Thank you.

Hi iamxcpx, welcome to the forums,

what you have experienced is not uncommon with any type of computer from notebook through to server, regardless of the boot disc being set as item 1 in the list, sometimes they just want to search everything available for boot instructions; depending on the quantity of information on the external discs it can sometimes take a little while.

I would suggest totally excluding the drives, or better all usb devices, from the boot order.  The following picture is of another systems BIOS, but hopefully illustrates what I mean.

I just got my X1 carbon today. The major problem is that the CPU is overheating. It can easily reach to 90 degrees or even higher. (I already used XTU undervolted the cpu) The fan is always on and a little bit noisy if using the laptop even for performing some simple tasks such as open a web. It will turn so hot that i won't even able to reset my hand on the right side of the keyboard above the air outlet (the area next to "enter"). Since it is a new system, i need to restart it after updating and installing some apps. The system stuck at Lenovo logo screen during restarting a few times already. I think it was due to overheating. Long press the power bottom and restart it will solve the problem.

It sounds like the HDD may be having trouble reading the boot sector and might need to be replaced. Have you tried using the "novo" button to enter BIOS and see if you have a HDD diagnostic you can use?  If you can enter BIOS, change out the boot order, try your USB and CD/DVD.  If it boots from USB or CD successfully then I would suspect a HDD issue, one that may require replacing the HDD to cure.CB

A:Lenovo Ideapad 110 With AMD Radeon R5 stuck on Black screen after showing logo and preparing repair

 Hi there, Eddie                       -

Thank you for writing in to the Lenovo Forum - happy to have you here today.

Automatic Repair usually kicks in if there's a problem loading up the files that's required to start Windows. If the repair was interrupted and the screen just goes into a black screen then there's most likely a hardware component that's malfunctioning.

To check, try to:

Boot into the BIOS by pressing the OneKey Recovery button

  - Link to picture

If successful, set the following settings in the BIOS:

Security Tab:
Secure Boot = Disabled

Boot Tab:
UEFI = Disabled or Legacy
Boot Mode = Legacy
Boot Priority = Legacy First
Exit Tab

OS Optimized Defaults = Other OS or Disabled

When done, press F10 (or Fn+10) to save and exit and try to boot from your Windows CD

If you're successful in booting from the Windows Disc, see Step 1 to Step 2 of this guideon how to proceed in fixing the issue.
If the problem remains, consider re-installing Windows by pressing the OneKey Recovery button and choose System Recovery

  - Link to picture

In an event that the recovery fails, I recommend you contact Lenovo and report the issue as you may need to send the unit for service.

Update us how it goes.

Hello. I have various issues that need to be address. First of all I have 2 Lenovo P50 laptops. On many occassions during bootup my laptop hangs at the beginning showing the Lenovo logo boot screen. The only way to pass this is to take out all usbs. Is there a work around for this? I changed settings of bootup order in bios to no avail. Secondly after an update at the beginning of May I am unable to use my Ata2020 microphone utilising Asio4all in Cubase. The strange thing it works with only the realtek or the ur12 but all sounds stop when enabling the microphone. In the past maybe 3 weeks ago there were no problems using asio4all. The only way to make it work is using the default full duplex asio driver. I tried to roll back nvidia and sound drivers to no avail, I would like to download and older driver of realtek but do not see it anywhere on the website. Thanks.

Two ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen2 TabletPCs will successfully boot into Windows 10 just fine from a hard poweroff.  But once in windows, if i choose Restart, it will hang at the "LENOVO" BIOS  level boot up logo with "To interrupt normal startup, press Enter".   Stuck at Lenovo BOOT BIOS initialization screen, right before handoff to the Operating System. "To interrupt normal startup, press Enter" At this point, pressing ENTER does not work.CTRL-ALT+DEL causes the screen to change shade for a moment, but effectively does nothing.Changing the UEFI settings to diagnostics results in black screen.Holding the power switch to force a poweroff, waiting a few moments, and then powering on results in a successful windows startup.  DevMGMT.msc does NOT see bluetooth and there is "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)" entry under "Universal Serial Bus controllers".  I have run all automatic updates via "Lenovo Vantage" and the manual TPM update.   I can boot into the firmware setup and have had it revert to factory defaults and reverted to factory defaults for all security settings.   I even tried the Win10 repair startup problems, but it says it cannot fix this.

A:ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen2 does not Restart, requires hard power off. Stuck at Lenovo boot logo.

It looks to me like you have a faulty hardware issue or a serious driver issue. Try the Lenovo recovery to put the device back to the factory windows install. If that fails, I would think you have a hardware issue.

Right as the proper drivers were installing, my computer screen completely wiped then started flashing RGB colors. I had to manually shut off my computer and restart it, and I noticed decreased performance in games. Apparently I had installed the wrong drivers and should have gone to Lenovo's website, but I'm really confused on what drivers to download and how to install them. I just got this computer directly from Lenovo. If I use an HDMI connection it will take FOREVER to load or not load at all. If I use a VGA connection it will load instantly. I hear contacting Lenovo sucks so that is why I am trying here. For example. I had it loading and it has been nearly 30minutes loading connected to the HDMI connection and is now on the Windows 8 screen.  Just got a new computer running Windows 8.1. If I have a VGA cable connected to it, Windows seems to load very rapidly and works well with no issues. If I use just the HDMI cable, Windows takes up to 30 minutes to load and every things takes a long time to load. How can VGA vs HDMI depend on how fast Windows loads and works.  What is causing this issue??? PLEASE help. I did try to install my old video card from my old computer that was purchased about 8 months ago. It does have a windows 8.1 64-bit driver but the hardware would never be found and it would not go directly to the on-board VGA with the graphics card in.  Please HelpMod Edit:  Merged duplicate posts re same issue - Hamluis.

A:Lenovo K450e HDMI vs VGA working

How PC connects to monitor does not affect boot speed of the Windows OS the reason why HDMI connection affecting boot process of the Windows OS could be your monitor is not setup correctly which could result of no image on monitor display or Windows OS or graphic card software is not set correctly make sure to adjust the resolution, color quality, and refresh rate, mode for multiple displays and select the signal format for a standard TV or HDTV (high definition television). You can use the graphic card software to adjust settings.

Hi Everyone, I am trying to connect the system to my Monitor using HDMI.I went to the BIOS and selected the IGD from the video devices, pressed F10 ( Save and exit).Immediately lost power supply to CPU and, the system didn't start.  Called Customer Service and followed the instructions pressed the power button for 10 sec by unplugging the power cord and the system started again normally. After that I tried to connect my monitor using HDMI and its still not working. I went to the BIOS again and changed the Video device to Auto and pressed F10 again. Same problem repeated again. Customer service said that they cannot do any thing as if I open the system to disconnect the expansion card,if any damage happens it voids the warranty as I got the system (new)  yesterday. Any help to connect to use HDMI by disabling the expansion slot will be really helpful and appreciated. Also, why the system is losing the power supply after I do a save in the BIOS? Here are the specs of my system and currently using DVI ports to connect my monitor: ? 4th Generation Intel Core i7-4790 Processor (3.60GHz 1600MHz 8MB)? A:Lenovo K450e HDMI not working?

I had the same problem and just returned mine today (tech support suggestion).  I'm guessing you've probably gotten this fixed by now but how about connecting your monitor using the mini HDMI connector on the NVIDIA card.  I read this in another post "after" I've sent mine back.  My understanding is that the on-board graphics port (HDMI/VGA) are disabled since you'll be using the NVIDIA card.   I'm using two monitors and did get one to display using the DVI-I on the NVIDIA card...but tech support said if "not" using the NVIDIA card I should still get a signal using the on-board ports.  I'm interested in seeing how this turns out...I purchased the same machine as you did.  Now I'm waiting for a replacement....

I've got a Lenovo K450e with Windows 10. When I click on Start->Power->Sleep the computer shuts down just like it's supposed to, but after 1-2 minutes, it begins making a lot of noise, despite being in sleep mode. I haven't had this problem with other computers. The only reason I put the computer in sleep mode is that I'd like it to be completely silent. How to solve this?

I'm thinking about upgrading. Now i've some other topics about upgrading to a GTX 970. I desire to upgrade to an GTX 960 4GB from Asus, but I can't find the power supply for my desktop and the name of the motherboard. I think I might upgrade to an 500 W power supply, but is it compatible with the motherboard?
