Yoga book won't connect to headphones

Q: Yoga book won't connect to headphones

My new yoga book (android) can't detect my headphones. My headphone pair with my laptop and phone, as well as my previous android tablet. The yoga book pairs with my laptop and phone as well, so it all seems to be working except for my headphones and tablet. Anybody a suggestion?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hi all, I have a Lenovo Yoga 510, with Windows 10. Whenever I plug in my headphones, it is not recognised by my PC. If I play any audio, it plays from the speakers insteaed of the headphones. I have tried updating the driver, rolling back the Windows update, and uninstalling and reinstalling the driver software, but nothing works. What do I do?

Hi, I've bought a Yoga 710 14" a few months ago, and this problem had persisted since I first got it.When I connect headphones through the headphone jack, wether they are headphone-mic combo or just headphones, the sound from the speakers still comes out. Headphones are working fine but I can hear from them and from the laptop speakers. Tried many tips online with RealTek HD manager, tried installing latest drivers. Can't seem to find the problem. In the Realtek HD manager when the headphones are connected they are shown as a microphone and not as a speakers. I'm pretty sure that's part of the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello I have been dealing with this issue for more than 6 months now and I have been trying all the possible solutions suggested on the internet, but nothing works for me.So my problem is the following: I have a Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro (Windows 10) and from the beginning my Realtek drivers did not work properly. Either the speakers did not work or the headphones were not recognized. Updating did not help.I then tried the option to run the computer with the default drivers by following these instructions: "Now, one thing to note is that you also need to disable the automaticdriver update from the "System Properties" ==> "Hardware" tab ==> "DeviceInstallation Settings" ==> Select "No, let me choose what to do." ==> Andthen select "Never install driver software from Windows Update." and ensure"Automatically get the device app and info provided by your devicemanufacturer" is checked. This will prevent the driver gets automaticallychanged by Windows Update after your next reboot." This worked in some extent. I could use both speakers and headset, but I had to switch manually between the two by going to the "Sounds" menu. However, after about 4 months, I started to get blue screens with MEMORY_MANAGEMENT errors and only enabling the automatic driver update from Windows Update again helped it. So this is not an option anymore and it was really annoying to switch it manually anyway. The problem is now that, after re-enabling driver updates from Windows Update... Read more

It may actually be a hardware issue. The switchover shouldn't be handled by the software, just detected.

What kind of headphones are you using? Are they TRRS or CTIA? I've never used CTIA (Apple) earphones, but I have had systems configured for CTIA that didn't detect my TRRS headphones correctly. SHouldn't be an issue if the headphones only have 2 rings though (stereo headphones with no mic or in-line controls).

Have you tried installing the latest Realtek drivers? http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsview.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=14&PFid=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownT...

I've looked at the problems concerning the pen on the forums here and none of them seem to pertain to my problem specifically so I figured I would go ahead and ask. I have a Lenovo Yoga Book (the 64GB version). I reinstalled Windows 10 because it was locked out due to bitlocker, the Halo Keyboard wouldn't switch to the sketch pad mode so I reinstalled the drivers for that per the official instructions by Lenovo, and now the pen only interacts with the very top left hand corner of the screen no matter where I use the pen. I'd really like to start drawing again! Thanks in advance for any help I might receive!

I have read nearly every post with yoga book issues regarding powering on, waking up, sleep mode.  None of the fixes worked for me.  IT WON'T WAKE UP!!! I've triedholding power button for 15 seconds, 20 seconds, 30 seconds, plugged in and unplugged with original power cordholding power button and volume rocker, plugged in and unpluggedpushing the power button 10, 15, 20 times rapidly and then trying to turn it on.The battery is internal and I am not sure I want to try to open it up.  I can't find any screws. I'm waiting for the battery to drain to see if that will help.  But in sleep mode, it may take a while..... Help?

I like my yoga book but just lost my real pen and for the life of me cannot find any replacement anywhere .  Anyone knows if or when it would be once more available? Reached out to lenovo 3 times and no one seems to know anything.  Clearly they stopped it.  Without it the yoga book is useless and as it is only a few months old I am disappointed. If there are alternative to allow for both usage  (screen and paper) let me know. Thanks!

Hi everyone! A couple of days ago I took my yoga to work and was using my headphones and since then I cannot get the speakers to work. I can still use my headphones and the sound works just fine. I had a similar issue once before, but with the microphone, not the speakers but managed to fix that myself. I updated the drivers and rebooted my laptop. When I go on playback devices the speakers are active and supposedly working (e.g. when I have music playing in the background it shows it moving on the bars, but I cannot hear anything). I also ran the Windows Audio Troubleshooter which did not help. I also had a system update two days ago, but the speakers were not working prior to that. I doubt that it is a hardware problem, considering that the speakers were working fine just before I plugged my headphones in. Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this?  Thank you in advance!

Hi! I have a i5 Yoga 900 bought in February. A couple of weeks ago, I noticed that the sound in the right ear of whichever headphone I just was greatly reduced. I can only make out the sound if I press the right earphone to my ear. The left sound is at a normal level. By fiddling with the other end of the headphone jack, it seems to be a hardware issue, probably that the audio jack is damaged in some way. I have tried several different earphones with the same or similar results. Have anyone here had the same problem? Could it be because of a driver problem?

Grazie

Hello everyone, I recently purchased a Yoga Book running Windows 10. I would like to connect it to a video projector. I bought a micro-HDMI to VGA connector. When I connect everything, neither W10 nor the projector recognize each other. In settings/Display,  if I click "detect" it says "no screen detected".  It is as though the HDMI port is completely off or the adaptator is faulty... I think the projector receive no signal at all... Any suggestions ?Thanks in advance.

My regards, the Yoga notebook Android can not access the desktop. I remember having uninstalled from google market domino game and has restarted. Now reboot over and over without being able to access the desktop. I turn on the tablet, the Android boot then restarts repeatedly. I state that I in no way manipulated system files. I enter Ricovery and try rebooting it does not change anything. The terminal is still under warranty. I hope someone is able to help me and avoid me to bring it to service.

So here's my challenge, I am by nature an early adopter and when the Yoga Book launched I was able to buy one, at launch only the Windows 10 version was available and this is what I have. There are a few niggling issues, no problem I thought a quick update to drivers/firmware and the OS and I'll be sorted, here I am with only 190 days of warranty remaining and I still have no idea whether my device is up to date or indeed working as advertised. Any help in resolving these issues would be appreciated; 1. No way of getting auto updated drivers, I've tried Service Bridge, which says it's installed and running, but every time I go into the downloads section of the support site, it prompts me to download again. It should download automatically but does not, clicking on the link to manually force the download does nothing. I've also tried the System Update on upport site, this goes to 10% and stops, after an hour or so it then fails. I've also tried System Update 5, that laso fails with an error downloading packages, I've even tried the companion app from the Windows store which only tells me when there are OS updates2. The drivers section that you can manually download on the support site, there is no indication what each driver does and which device it is relevant to3. Windows is no asking me to install Lenovo Ltd. driver update for Lenovo Yeti Windows System Firmware 00.31.00.16 and that a seperate install window should open, it doesn't nor is this driver update availa... Recently, I tried to wake my yoga from sleep, but it did not turn on after holding the power button for 4 seconds - only the red light on the think pad "I" glows for 4 seconds then turns off.  The screen remains black and no fan and no light on the keyboard.   I tried to do the reset button on the bottom- nothing. Then I tried to take off the bottom of the laptop, in plugged the battery, and power, then held the power button for 30 seconds.  Then put everything back together.  Still no change.  Any other solutions?

The advertising says that the Yoga Book will take up to a 128GB MicroSD card but it won't work with my 64GB card. It appears that it requires the card to be formatted as FAT32 to be compatible but FAT32 only supports devices up to 32GB.  After several attempts I re-partitioned my card using a PC with a 32Gb partition and formatted that as FAT32.  Success. It would also be very useful if there was some technical support in the UK. No phone support, no email support, no chat support; why, when we are paying more in the UK than people in the US who get all the support channels?

Hi everybody, ever since a friend showed me the Lenovo Yoga Book online I've been in love with the device. I'm a big note taker and writer, and I think this could be perfect for me. However, I live abroad in a country where they don't sell the Lenovo Yoga Book. I'm soon going for a short visit to the Netherlands where I can finally see (and most likely buy) it, but I have a couple of questions that I can't seem to figure out from searching online (and I will not have enough time in the Netherlands to keep going to the shop ).  I am interested in buying the Android version. First of all, because I am buying it as a tablet and not a laptop; second because of the 100 euros price difference (yes, welcome to Europe...) and third because of the ability to take notes in tablet mode with the screen off. However, I struggle to find out how to digitalize handwriting notes and I read contradicting statements on this.  From handwriting to textAs I understood, you can't digitalize (meaning change handwriting into text) with the app that Lenovo installed (Note Saver). Is that correct? If that is the case, I am looking for a programme that can do this. Does it exist for Android? I've been looking into OneNote. Is it possible to write using OneNote and then convert the handwriting to text? Or do you know of any other apps? Evernote for example? Furthermore, when using those apps (especially OneNote), can you convert it do a .doc document?  Taking notesAnoth... Read more

I'm currently working with Systemax (makers of PaintTool SAI) to try and troubleshoot why pressure sensitivity for the Yoga Book does not work. According to their support staff the issue is that the wintab32.dll driver isn't loading. I've been searching for the driver on Microsoft's website, but I know the Yoga Book works a bit differently. Is there a version of the wintab driver for the Yoga Book, and will it still coexist with the keyboard?

I have a Yoga 900 laptop. I have had it for less than a year and up to this point it has worked well. It no longer recognizes my headphones when I plug them into the headphone jack. When I have headphones plugged in, the sound still comes from the speakers. When I right click on the speaker icon and choose playback devices, it only have my speakers listed. I have used three different types of headphones, updated the drivers, and rebooted the computer numerous times. I have searched for hours online to figure out this problem, but have had no luck.
