I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I updated my two Yoga laptops this wee on two different days. I noticed that after the update my yoga mouse couldn't pair (connect) to each computer.  There was no issue before the update. Because it happened with both computers, I suspect there is an issue with the update. I came to the Forum and the new support Lenovo system to see if others have the same issue but I don't see any post related to this topic nor an updated driver for the Yoga Mouse. Are you having the same issue? Did you solve it? How?

The pen that comes along with the Lenovo Yoga C930 isn't working on my laptop. The battery shows full and I barely ever use the pen but I have many plans of starting to use it. It really saddens me that I left an HP laptop for a Lenovo just to come to this problem. It has only been 1 month since I've bought this laptop and I barely use the pen but then it doesn't work anymore. There was a time where I didn't charge the pen for a whole week but I put it back and didn't touch it ever since. It's impossible that anything could have happened to the pen because I left it in a drawer. The touch screen works perfectly fine.... I don't know what to do and I am really really sad/disappointed. I need help with this if anyone can let me know of anything I can do or what's wrong?

I received this laptop as a replacememt of my defective yoga 720 the 18 October. After somw days of usage I can finally say that I ve got scammed by Lenovo, who sent me a testing unit with so mant problems! - Wacom pen and touch issues (such as ghosting and deas zones)- TouchPad gets disabled and became uselsss until next reboot. It also feels weird and it is kinda loose and imprecise! -KeyBoard acts weird and there is a noticeable input lag that I just can't stand since I am a programmer. -Hibernation/suspend/who knows who causes the impossibility to Wake up my laptop from sleep. When it happens I can only hard shut it down. - I've found some strange stats in the battery report that makes me think that I've received a testing unit with all of these malfunctionnality. My EMEA casw manager does no longee respond to my emails and I am willing to sens back this laptop and receive a refund or a new replacememt ( BUT NO MORE IDEAPAD LAPTOPS). If someone is contact with Lenovo I can send my case number. This is just unfair. Can't trust this Company. Check my YouTube Channel for the linked problems : https://youtu.be/5_daR-j7CQ8

My first ever Lenovo laptop is coming next week and I am so excited because it has been a big investment for me!! I hope to make it last at least throughout college, and since I can be kind of klutz, I?m already looking into what protective measures I can take. I found a lot of cases on amazon, but the main design flaw seems to be that they don?t allow the laptop to go into tablet mode, which is a bummer since the reason I bought a 2-in-1 is for doodling. Anyhow, I?m just curious as to what other Yoga users or what recommendations there is. Thanks in advance!

i just bought the new c930 (not yoga book but the yoga c930 ) and i installed all upadtes etc but i have not been getting the battery i expected. when i scroll my mouse to the battery bar, it constantly shows around 6-7 hours on full charge. all i am doing is web browsing. Is this normal? i expected to get around 9-10 hours for the web browsing. Also keep in mind i am on better performance so not the best performance or anything. Ya if i lower the performance even more i might be able to get a little more but i dont think thats normal. I dont have the 4k version either just the regular. If this is expected then fine but i am not sure.

Hey folks, I got the Yoga c930 and so far I'm loving it, save one issue--my shift key feels kind of loose (but sticky) and makes a different noise if you accidently hit it the wrong way.  Since it's not a pc-breaking issue, I don't want to have to send it in unless something else goes wrong, but I was wondering if anyone has tried any DIY maintenance on Yoga Keyboards.  I'm worried I might break a clip since even though their are videos for the Yoga 710 on YT, I don't know if they switched up the mechanism for this generation.  It sitll registers the click, so functionally--no issue, but it feels like a defective key that could just completely break out of the blue.

I compared using both ATTO and AS disk benchmarks the performance of the drive in the 930 with the same size 250G SSD in a desktop with a Samsung 970 EVO Plus. The results everywhere better sometimes 10x the speed on writes.  I know in practice if I just use this for routine stuff and no special video editing possibly the existing SSD is more than sufficient. I know also I can clone and replace it in no time probably with a 500G one. Any thoughts? Opinions? Anyone who has done it and noticed a noticeable increase in speed? Thanks,Grant

Hi, after purchasing my Lenovo Yoga C930 in November 2018 it worked completely fine until 4 days ago. At some point, I started noticing some slight flickers in the form of very thin lines that would span over the whole screen width. I then updated the Graphics Card drivers which solved the problem for two days, then it came back. Since yesterday, there are now some hug screen flickers (similar to this, but a bit less bad: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6SIHJYWsFCI ), which are increased if the laptop is on battery mode as opposed to when it is plugged in. I tried to see if there was a difference between the different power modes in battery mode, but it doesn't seem to be the case. All the drivers are up-to-date and I am very dependent on my computer for work, so I would rather not send it in if I can avoid it in any way. Has anyone had this issue with a C930 and managed to get rid of it? System information:Windows 10Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8550U CPU @1.8GHz 1.00GHz16GB of RAM Thanks in advance for useful feedback!Cheers,Julia

Hello,  So a few days ago, I had a Lenovo yoga c930 (certified refurbished and purchased through Amazon's three party) stolen from my porch upon delivery. Dealing with FedEx now but I want to see what I can do. Does Lenovo have a way to track this brand of laptop? Keep in mind that i never got to use the laptop and it should have come factory reset. I have read a bunch of stuff on anti-theft software but that doesn't help me now. I also read that a tech-savvy thief can somehow change its IP Address and reinstall the operating system which would make it impossible to track. Is that true?  If so, I think I am completely out of luck! Anyone here actually ever recovered a stolen laptop? Thanks!

Good day, I just received the Lenovo Yoga C930 and the pen doesn't work. The laptop does't recognize it and there is no way (app or settings menu) to install it, syncronize it or try it. Microsoft Windows 10 pen settings is for the surface pen and the Lenovo Pen settings is for the Lenovo Pen with the top bottom. Nothing for the fancy new pen that is stored in the laptop (not even in the product guide - way to go Lenovo!).  I have been trying to call several times Lenovo technical support and the dial menu is horrible. I haven't been able to reach a technical support representative for the Lenovo Yoga C930. This is the worst service per purchased item prize I have received in my life.  I really hope that someone can help me. This purchase was supposed to be a good experience and so far it is just pathetic.

Torn between battery life or better display. I do occasional work with graphics and have been wanting a touch screen I could draw on since I was a kid (I am a genXer, enough said). On the flip side, the whole point of a laptop - esp a 3lb/14in screen - is portability. I've read that the small screens don't matter much with the resolution differences, but when I viewed them side by side, I could see a difference with images (but not so much text). If there wasn't such a huge difference in battery life, I'd just get on the 4k. Either way I have the option of purchasing a 4k screen (that I can't draw directly on) or an external battery pack (that I would have to lug around). As such, I am curious to know why people choose a UHD over the FHD? Are you happy with your choice? Did you find a workaround for battery life on days you needed to use it for long periods of time (such as travel or presensations)? Thank you!

A:Lenovo Yoga C930 users - why did you buy the 4k screen?

The battery life for me is great. The model I purchased was an excellent deal and came with UHD. But, my I do have touch screen and the C930 comes with a pen, so you can draw on it. Many people prefer the FHD over the UHD. I've had both and really don't have a preference.

I just got this Lenovo a few weeks ago and it has worked fine until today! The screen was flickering every few seconds, so I followed the steps I saw on the forums to fix it. Nothing worked, so I tried rebooting my computer to see if maybe the drivers needed the computer to be restarted to work. Now, the laptop won?t turn on. The LED shows the machine as being powered on, and the keyboard will light up, but the screen remains completely black. The Lenovo logo doesn?t show up or anything. I?ve tried rebooting with the AC adapted plugged in (even though the battery was fully charged), I?ve tried restarting holding down shift + f8, and holding down the volume up key too. Nothing happens.

I suppose Energy saving/hibernating problems but I'm not sure. I just purchased a Lenovo YOGA C930-13IKB this past Thursday (5/16) from Best Buy & found that the lower left & upper right corner do not sit exactly flat on a hard surface causing it to wobble.  Doing a quick search online I found numerous reports of other Lenovo laptops with this concern but was curious if anyone has come accorss this on their new C930 & if so what was the repair/replace remedy? I checked all the rubber "feet" on the bottom & they all appear to be of same size but yet there is a few mm gap (screen open or closed) on left as you can see in attached picture. Greatly appreciate any help & guidance...

A:Brand new Lenovo Yoga C930 wont sit flat

Welcome to the Community!

I've run into this with a number of appliances and devices. Sometimes, it's a warped cabinet. Sometimes, the rubber feet are slightly different (usually due to a bad glue job). Sometimes, it's the surface, itself. The "redneck" fix is to just use an emery board on the rubber pads until it sits flat. But, since you just bought it and if it's out of your tolerance, I'd haul it back and make them unbox and test the replacement in front of you.

This is ridiculous. I need support and Experts help. I have a brand new C930 Notebook. The laptop goes to sleep but does not wake up. Only the led light on the power button keeps blinking. I have to hard press to shut it down and then again press the power button after 10 seconds so the laptop would do normal boot. Then the Fingerprint reader does not work. The next restart works fine but from sleep still does not resume. I checked all settings on device maneger power managerment save mode and all available hardware resources are set to "Allow computer to turn off this device to save power" checked. If i change the Device manager lid close action to Hibernate, it works as expected. So computer can resume fine with hibernate and not from Sleep mode. All my device drivers and BIOS is upto date to lenovo recommended versions. I have seen some online forums but nowhere it is known if it is a software issue or Hardware issue. Lenovo Please suggest!

The all aluminum chassis is built excellent and feels very premium. The Iron grey color is fantastic and looks elegant. The overall size of the laptop is the perfect size for an ultrabook. I felt that the 13.9" screen was the sweet spot for what a screen size should be. I used an HP Spectre x360 and Yoga C730 previously and they just seemed small compared to the Yoga c930. I love the speaker hinge which created great sound, more on that later. The pen being garaged in a compartment is a great idea and perfect for note-taking, more on that later.

Hello, We have 3 docks (Dell D6000, Thinkpad USB C dock, and a pluggable usb c dock) at our office and just recently purchased this laptop to connect with one of the three docks and use 3 external displays. For some reason, when connecting monitors to all 3 ports on all three docks, we are unable to get all 3 displays and the laptop. We can only get 2 displays and the laptop as a third. That being said, on the pluggable dock, we were able to get all 3 externals and the laptop as a fourth about 1 in every 15 or so connects. Otherwise we get 2 displays and the laptop. If we disconnect one of the displays, we can get one that was off to turn on, but we are again stuck with 2 displays and the laptop. The Think pad docks gets all of the displays, but at horrible low resolutions (it has 2 DPs and a VGA). Their is no consistency at all and I'm trying to avoid returning the laptops. We have checked that the latest drivers are installed and installed the displayport drivers from their website. Another weird thing is that sometimes the docks are charging the laptop and other times it shows "plugged in, not charging" on all 3 docks. We have a dell that is not as nice body wise, but connects to all 3 docks and gets 3 external and the laptop, but these yogas are nicer. Is what I'm trying to do possible with this laptop?

Hello! My Lenovo Yoga has started freezing randomly; it does not matter what is currently running. This also includes starting up the laptop. Sometimes when the power button is pressed, the laptop will not start, but instead will present a black screen for around 1 minute then start up. During startup the power light is not flashing but is fully lit showing that the laptop should be up. The wifi will also sometimes stop working altogether, even sometimes removing the wifi option completely in the wifi options. Even when the wifi card in the lenovo is reset, the wifi does not come back. I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the wifi driver. I have already contacted Lenovo before, but instead of fixing the problem, they somehow sent me into an infinite blue screen loop. They claimed that my bios was corrupted and reset my computer completely, losing all files. This fixed the problem for about 12 hours. Currently, the only softwares I have downloaded are Eclipse IDE and Java. Could someone please help me fix this? I possibly received a defective unit?

Are you talking about calling Lenovo for warranty problems, or this forum?  If calling, "Think" products are handled separately, but X1C and X1 Yoga should be the same as each other.  If this forum, you are most likely to get the most help on products that are most widely distributed.

My Note 9 for instance with 2 x 2 MIMO gets 95Mbps. It is a HUGE and disappointing difference. All I did was go into the settings and change the bandwidth from 80MHz down to 40MHz and so far the problem seems to be solved and it didn't affect the speed of other wireless devices. I'm wondering of course if anyone else experienced the same issues. This may mean I'm getting a lesser theoretical speed but the practical speed is what counts and it works now. Grant

This has happened to both my Yoga 730 15" 4K and Yoga C930 4K. Why? Perhaps it is not the virtual keyboard not showing up but the touch screens did not respond? Hello! Yesterday my laptop was working just fine, and today when the battery was about to die I plugged it in. After it was done charging I unplugged it, but then the whole laptop shut down (despite the battery being on 100%). I tried turning it back on, no luck, gave it a couple of minutes and tried again still to no effect. I plugged in the charger again and only then did the laptop switch on, and I now notice the light where the cable is blinks super fast and is red. If i unplug it, it shuts down again.I read that I might need to change the battery, but the laptop is pretty much brand new - maybe a little over half a year old. I've also been told that the warranty might not cover issues like this, but I couldn't find anything in the actual booklet, so... is that really the case?
