Chrome Zoom

Q: Chrome Zoom

Not sure if last windows10 update did it but Crome zooms all the time. What a pain resetting all the time.

Preferred Solution: Chrome Zoom

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

A: Chrome Zoom

Found this, so far so good
I've been annoyed by this for a long time, but when I searched most recently, I found a Chrome Extension that disables this Ctrl-scroll zoom behavior called No MouseWheel Zoom.

This started happening yesterday. When I am on chrome the original tab I'm using works fine, until I open a new tab then when I go back to it and I can't even see my mouse and everything is frozen.

But it isn't permanent, if I come back a few minutes then it works fine.

As the title states it freezes when I zoom in, but the audio continues. Then when I press escape it shows everything fine but the video is black.

So for instance, if I'm watching a youtube video and and then leave the tab and come back the video and audio play fine but when I scroll up and down only the video itself moves up and down. Another instance is when I am on a forum then I leave the tab and com back I can't scroll up or down and I have to exit the tab and re-enter the url to get back to the page.

I think it's anything with flashplayer, but I'm not sure.

I'm running the latest official release of Google Chrome Browser.

I have laptop with 1920x1080 display and if Chrome is set at 100% zoom, everything is too small.

When I set Chrome to 150% zoom, things look okay. The problem is that for some webpages in Chrome, 150% zoom messes up the page really bad to the point where the webpage is almost unusable (overlapping pictures, text, etc). For webpages with this problem I find that I have to either have Chrome zoomed to a multiple of 100 (so either 100% zoom, 200%, 300%, etc). The problem is that doing so makes the page obnoxiously too big or too small. I've tried different zoom related plugins to help fix this issue but nothing works.

I notice I do not have this problem with Internet Explorer. I'm able to zoom in or out without the contents of the webpage becoming jumbled.

Can anyone help me?

Thank you

A:Help with Chrome browser, zoom issues on 1920x1080 display

Unfortunately, I know of only two options, neither of which I think you will be keen to.

1) Use IE9. I have both IE9 and Chrome installed on my computer, and I prefer IE9. I mainly use Chrome for the apps you can use with it, but for general browsing I prefer IE.

2) Reduce the resolution on your computer to 1600x900. This will make everything on the screen bigger, including web pages. I know it seems suboptimal to use a lower resolution than what the screen is capable of, but the difference in picture quality is minor and it will most likely solve your issue.

Howdy, my brother! After he experienced that on my pc, web browser windows now run a script which hijacks the Zoom-in / Zoom out control and locks-up at either the zoom in or out (out is worse) because you only see a corner of the raster.I ran Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, AdAware, and my installed Avira AntiVir Guard - none of which detected anything but cookies. I installed some new camcorder software which rebooted the system. But after the Windows start-up screen, the screen just goes BLACK and the system is unresponsive. I booted in Safe Mode with Networking, downloaded and ran HijackThis to get log. I ran Dr.WebCureIt - which detected nothing in this mode. 150% size zoom in corrupts Chrome and Adobe Reader - Windows Forum - Computer Support Forums
I have my Windows set to 150% zoom (otherwise it becomes hard to aim at the little buttons in order to click them) It's really nice to have the buttons really big in the list of options that come up when I press the Windows button on the left of Alt button.

But the problem is that it blows up Chrome and Adobe Reader so that it almost becomes unuseable.

Firefox and Internet Explorer is ok. Foxit Reader is ok.

Also, time to time the Chrome appears ok when I log in (not sure about Adobe Reader) but then when I sign out and log in again the overblownness appears again.

A:150% size zoom in makes Chrome and Adobe Reader overblown size

My experience is that the 150% only really works if you are using a high resolution, say 1920x1080.

If your native resolution is much lower than that you are going to get bleed over ... text running outside of the buttons they are meant to label... stuff like that.

Have you tried just using large icons instead of blowing up all text and buttons?

Q: Zoom

Hi everybody

I fell asleep for a couple hours doing homework last night on my computer. When I woke up, everything on my computer is small, almost like it is zoomed out. This includes the desktop, google chrome, the mouse the startup page etc.

I have tried changing the zoom, which hasn't worked, and also going into display settings, where my zoom is at 100% and my resolution is at 3840x2160, however it is not letting me change the resolution.

The computer is a Lenovo Flex 5 running Windows 10

I am not sure what this is called, but we've all seen this on TV (especially on shows like 20/20) where they take a regular picture...and as the picture is zoomed in, the subject of the photo is almost 3d, standing out from the background. How is this done? Is there a tutorial online anywhere?
I like creating photo slideshows and being able to do this would be nice...thanks!!

A:3d zoom? How?

Can't give you a step by step for a particular program, but basically you would start by duplicating the image, then cutting out the main subject.

So you have the original image on the bottom layer, and the cut-out subject on the top layer. If you do nothing else, no one would know that there are two layers, because they are identical except for the missing background in the top layer.

Apply the zoom-blur effect to the bottom layer. Now pretty much anything you do to the cut-out subject on the top layer will make it seem to pop out of the background. Lighten it. Enlarge it a bit. Add a subtle drop shadow. That's what I did to the still image attached. Because its visual properties are now different from the original image in the bottom layer, it'll just jump out at you, and it doesn't take much.

In video you can push in slowly on the cut-out subject, which is I think what they do on the tv programs.

First of all - Welcome to BC !
Can you give some details of these computers - make, model and so on - it gives us something to go on.
When you say 'the bottom of the page', do you mean the task bar on the desktop, or at the bottom inside one application or another?  I am not familiar with a zoom control on the task bar but a lot of applications, from image viewers through graphics software to MS Office, have a zoom function. But this almost always uniformly expands or shrinks the complete page, text and everything included. And, more to the point, the zoom control goes wherever the designer of the software decided to put it.

A:Zoom slide

It looks to me like you have the zoom slider set to 10%. What you could try is untick the Zoom 10% in your Customise Status Bar menu. This should return your slider at the bottom RH corner, then try setting the Zoom to 110%.
I use Outlook 2013 & the zoom slide is centred at 100% so moving it to the right increases magnification & to the left decreases it. Looking at your screen shot it seems that the greyed out slider is locked at 10% & not 110%.
Hope this helps.

A:How to zoom a web page in IE6?

When it comes to "wow" factor, Page Zoom is right up there with Quick Tabs.. its brilliant.

Page Zoom can be used not only to increase the size text and GRAPHICS on a Web page, it can also be used to increase or decrease the print size of pages (or parts thereof).

The keyboard shortcuts to manipulate Zoom settings are:

Ctrl + (zoom in)
Ctrl - (zoom out)
Ctrl 0 (set to 100%)

If you have a Wheel Mouse, hold down the ctrl key then spin up to zoom in, spin down to zoom out.

Zoom selection can also be controlled by the the Zoom menu on the status bar.
