bsod teredo tunnelling pseudo-interface driver keeps restarting my computer

Q: bsod teredo tunnelling pseudo-interface driver keeps restarting my computer

my computer keeps getting the bsod and then it restarts ive found out that its a teredo tunnelling pseudo-interface driver thats causing the problem please help.

Preferred Solution: bsod teredo tunnelling pseudo-interface driver keeps restarting my computer

I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

A: bsod teredo tunnelling pseudo-interface driver keeps restarting my computer

The teredo tunneling driver tunnel.sys is a very unlikely cause for a BSOD because Microsoft is the author of that driver. We're looking for hardware failure or an issue with a 3rd party driver. Please zip up the dump and attach to your next post.Just curious - why do you think teredo tunneler is involved?Regards. . .jcgriff2

I accidentally uninstalled my Teredo IPV6 Psuedo-tunneling interface. I figured it would re-install itself after a re-boot like many built in drivers do, but it did not. I have googled it trying to find a suitable download source, but no luck. Is there any way to re-install, or find a source to download a replacement driver, maybe a link.

A:Teredo IPV6 Pseudo-tunnelling interface.

Are you using IPv6 to connect? If your not sure then your probably not. IPv6 really isn't used yet so its not a big deal. It causes more headaches then its worth.

But if you really want to re-install it go ahead. This thread states typing this into the command prompt then rebooting the machine: ipv6 install

Then after it is installed just disable it, don't un-install it.

First time here. If anyone could help I sure would appreciate it, I was first playing dungeons and dragons when suddenly it began to shut down. This driver was the name was listed, and it had a yellow exclamation mark. I clicked on the update driver and selected the automatically choose, which I read may have been the wrong choice from manually. Nothing happened, so then I had the brilliant idea to uninstall it altogether, but finding the diver to reinstall has been challenging. OS windows vista (I know).
Thank you.

can we see a screen shot of device manager with the yellow Exclamation mark

teredo tunneling pseudo-interface driver - are not normally an issue

Device Manager
Post back the results in device manager
If you cannot access the internet with this PC, then you will need to copy the program across to the faulty PC

windows key and pause Key should open to allow device manager to be seen on laptops may need to use windows key + FN key + Pause Key
if not then

Start > control Panel {Vista set to classic view}> system > {Vista, device manager on left hand side} {XP hardware Tab, device manager button} >
windows 7
start > control panel> System and Security> Device Manager

network adaptors, click on the + > post back the devices listed there
are there any ! ? or X
post a screen shot of the device manager - network adapters

To post a screen shot of the active window, hold the Alt key and press the PrtScn key. Open the Windows PAINT application and Paste the screen shot. You can then use PAINT to trim to suit, and save it as a JPG format file.
To upload it to the forum, open the full reply window and use the Manage Attachments button to upload it here

For all those people out there who are missing this interface on there Windows 7 computer there is a solution, but you might not like the way it needs to be fixed.

"What is teredo tunneling pseudo interface?", this interface is built in the operating system as well as the drivers for this device, it allows a secure connection to another computer using IPv6 protocol. It is also used for connecting to a network securely.

If you uninstalled by accident or you don't see it in device manager under show hidden devices, then you have lost this capability.

If you want to fix this then list your post ok

A:tered pseudo tunnelling interface missing

Hello & welcome to sevenforums,

Sometimes you'll have to reboot more than once for that interface to be set. Make sure you have Residential Network and/or set homegroup.

You can do either a SFC /SCANNOW to try repairing the Terodo TP-Int. after that.

I've read the tech documentation on MSoft web site, but that does not help me to understand what prevent this device to be started. A:Teredo Tunneling Pseudo interface

Don't worry about it - that is used with IPv6, which is not widely used, yet, and it cannot start because your computer is not running IPv6 because (most likely) your router / modem does not support IPv6.

I am helping a friend that has Windows 7 clean his computer.  It is a Toshiba Satellite.  It has 4 gigs of ram and is 64bit.
The problem I am having is that it will not go on the net wirelessly.  He is not able to get on the internet wirelessly but can with an Ethernet cable.
I went on line and read to go to the Device Manager and then to Network.  Expanded it and it was suggested that I uninstall (not delete) the Teredo Tunelling Pseudo Interface.  I went into the device manager and found that the Teredo Tunneling Pseudo Interface is not working.   have done that and after restarting it no longer shows under Networking.
After restarting the Teredo is gone and the other Network adaptors appear to be working.  I am not able to get on the internet wirelessly.
I have looked all over the net and can't seem to find a way to correct this.
Any suggestions would certainly be appreciated.

I'm sure everyone has head about it before, but I've seen as many solutions as there have been questions about it.

My TTPU seems to be malfunctioning. I'm getting a code 10 error... unable to load the driver. Trying to update it has failed, as it simply tells me I have the latest version. At the moment, it's disabled, but I have no idea what it does for me, so I'm worried about having problems leaving it that way. ...of course, since it wasn't working in the first place, maybe not.

How should I go about fixing this thing? If there is a solid, known way to fix it, can someone please post it here? One fix I tried before getting nervous was editing the registry, but the directions given didn't actually lead to where they were supposed to lead, and so I never changed anything.

If anyone knows a good way to fix the driver for this device (or at least to make the system load it properly) please post here. Thanks.

Hi there!

Following poor internet advice to fix another problem, i uninstalled the Teredo Tunneling pseudo interface and I cannot install it back. I have looked to see if it is hidden and I have tried the copy-pasted directions to change the registry and still it is gone. I had believed it was the cause for my connection to my router, but no internet.. however, I seem to just have made it worse. My external will no longer connect in order to put any files from my working laptop onto the problematic one.

Any suggestions?

I have found a very temporary fix which is changing the value of the registry DisabledComponents under tcpip6 to 0, but once i change the value it takes around 5 to 10 minutes for the computer to go into a BSOD. Once i change the the registry value back to the default, there are no crashes whatsoever, but without Teredo no online features will work in Forza. Hello, and thanks for letting me join. I have a laptop with Windows 8 installed, keep getting an error message in Device Manager saying there is an issue with Teredo Tunneling Pseudo Interface - Code 10 (I have no idea what this or the device is). There is a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in it.
When I use HP Support Assistant to try and download Bluetooth drivers as instructed, they are failing to install, as are the CyberPro drivers now. I am also getting a message saying "error" (no number) when I go on to the desktop. Details on the driver say it was installed by Microsoft File Version 6.2.9200.16384 (win8_rtm.120725-1247).
I don't know what is happening here - I am not a techie, I'm afraid! The laptop is still under warranty but although I have asked hp for help I have had no answers to my request on what to do.
Can you help me?

We did a number of updates on our Dell 530 Inspiron desktop. The computer runs very well, although it will not stay asleep. After the updates, we noticed the Device Manager indicated that the Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface had a Code(10). I followed all of the recommended reinstall driver recommendations, used Microsoft "Fix It," tried Device Manager/Action/Add Legacy Hardware to no avail. Now, under network adapters I now have the following: (1) Intel(R)82562V-2 10/100 (2) Microsoft Tun Miniport Adapter #2 and #3. The machine runs perfectly except for sleeping as mentioned previously. It easily connects to the internet.

I would appreciate direction on (1) approach to solving this problem and/or (2) solution already listed that seems to fit this situation. Quite honestly, I don't feel like my skill level allows me to do much if any with the computer's registry unless it is very simple.

Thank you for taking the time to read and respond to this question.

For the Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface either ignore it or right-click on it and see if you can disable or delete it.

For the waking up problem the first thing to check is possible devices waking it. For example, if the mouse is allowed to wake the machine it will sometimes do so as the result of the tiniest vibration.

If you are having issues setting up a home network as I did with Win 7 you might want to try this guys solution. Worked a treat for me,For solution click hereI spent about 10 hours trying to get Microsoft Teredo Tunnelling to work as I did IPv6 but kept getting the same issue. It showed it was there and active yet nothing worked. I followed the instruction at that link, (A little involved) but the problem is fixed. I can now access my PC from the laptop and vice versa.Just thought I would share this solution as there are countless hits on Google regarding this issue.it really should not have be this hard with all the so called experts at MS and their flashy new Win7. Don't get me wrong, I really like the operating system but it just shouldn't have such basic bugs especially when the hype for Win 7 Pro is that it makes networking easy! If this is easy I would hate to see tough. And if you are a lucky one whose network set up without hassles I am just jealous but google the problem and see how many forums are full of this problem yet MS win7 forums it hardly raises a metion.

Teredo tunneling is a method of tunneling IPV6 traffic over an IPV4 network.

There are issues with it so it is best to make your network 100% IPV6 or 100% IPV4. Most home users are stuck with IPV4 because that's all their routers and switches can handle. If you are not experiencing any problems with your network, you can ignore it.

If you have an inquiring mind and want to become a scholar on the issue, read the information at the following link;

After disabling Teredo Tunneling-Interface(TTI) I gained back 10% of my system resources in Windows 7 and it fixed a problem with Symantec 360 v3 pop-ups. Ever since I first loaded Windows 7 I had immediately had problems with Symantec's security suite. Getting pop-ups that notified me of being connected to a shared network. I've been searching for weeks now to figure out how to either disable the pop-ups or get an updated from Norton. I'd go through the logs of the security history and see that I was having what looked like hex mac addresses either attempting to connect or disappear from TTI. Finally last night I came upon a site that showed 3 simple commands on how to disable TTI, because it is not a necessary service. In fact, it'd be good to read up on it, because it might become useful to turn back on if the internet ever upgrades to IPv6. Anyways, after doing this I noticed a 10% gain from my system's monitor gadget and Windows even asked me to re-run my Windows Experience Index (WEI). I'm still in some ways wondering why it took up so much of my resources?

A:Teredo Tunneling Psuedo-Interface???

Teredo Tunneling Psuedo-Interface is used for Homegroup and TCP/IP v6 which is part of Windows. Which is normal in Windows Vista through Windows 8.

Which format are the videos in? Windows Media Player does not support all video formats only the common ones. Windows Media Player might support the audio portion of the video because the audio side would be a different format like mp3. To find out the format of the video right click on each on then select properties then select "Details" scroll down look for "File" the name of the video format will be listed after the file name E.X. Filename.mp4

Download and install VLC Player which supports many video formats more than Windows Media Player.

simply does not exist on my list of network adapters. I've made sure to select "show hidden devices" as well, to no avail.

Any advice would be most welcome.

Thank you.

to Bleeping Computer Community heaveste  We need some hardware snapshot and information from your system. Please follow the instructions below. Try downloading Speccy and then install the program.  To post and publish a snapshot of your PC.. In the Menu bar, click File -> Publish Snapshot. Click Yes > then Copy to Clipboard. On your next reply, right-click on a empty space and click Paste on reply box then click Post. Download MiniToolBox and run the program. SelectList Last 10 Event Viewers, List Installed Programs and List Users, Partitions and Memory Size, List Devices then click Go.A notepad will open then copy-paste the report on your next reply.

Welcome to Bleeping Computer.
Did you try updating the driver in the Device Manager?

I have this problem up to 5 times a day while playing Counter-Strike:Global Offensive where my graphics drivers crash even minutes after launch and then it proceeds to sometimes say "Display Driver Stopped Responding and Has Recovered". This however seems to be false because if I try to reboot a game it proceeds to BSOD me with the atkimpag.sys error.

I really need this fixed because I am going to a LAN even this month and it can't happen.

Attached is my file dumps etc.

AMD FX 8350
R9 270X ASUS
1TB Caviar black harddrive
etc etc

Added is a zip from after a BSOD

Alright, I was trying to run a game on my computer (STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl) and it was not working. I asked around and some people advised me to update my graphics card driver. I'm not very computer savvy, so I spent a while searching for the driver (I have a 9200 radeon graphics card). I got to a site (forgot the link, sorry) and tried to download the driver. I downoaded a file to my desktop and hit setup.exe in the file to start the driver download. Now in addition to not being able to play STALKER, I cannot play any other full screen games, or even put my computer on standby, without it restarting.

Any ideas on what to do?

A:Driver Trouble/Computer Restarting

First of all I would go to the ATI/AMD site and update your drivers, with drivers that are known to be secure. http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html

Secondly, you should consider scanning your computer for viruses/spyware/malware as there is no telling what that setup.exe was.
