Cart of E6530 are freezing when running Windows 10

Q: Cart of E6530 are freezing when running Windows 10

We recently update a 30 unit E6530 laptop cart from Windows 7 to Windows 10. We soon heard of freezing occurring. After this we updated the Drivers and BIOS at the dell Support site. They are fully up to date now and the problem persists.
I can always get the problem to occur when resuming the computer from sleep mode, though it occasionally occurs when booting the computer fresh.
According to Dell the E6530 has been tested and does have Windows 10 drivers. If anyone has any ideas or have had similar troubles we would certainly like to hear ideas as to what is happening as we are hoping to avoid downgrading them back to Windows 7.

I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

Turns out the O2 Micro SD Card Driver was wonky. Disabling it or rolling it back fixes the issue.

Bought a used E6530. Installed an SSD and clean install of Win 7 Pro 64 bit.
Apparently drivers are missing from the software disc, so I don't have access to web, communications, etc.
Can any one tell me the drivers required for an E6530 running Win 7 Pro 64 bit.
The laptop is in great shape and runs great but I would like to know the exact drivers and where to down load so I have a backup for an emergency

A:Drivers for E6530 running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit

You'll need at least the chipset driver and your network (wired or wireless) -- put those on a flash drive, install in that order - -then connect to the Internet and you can get the rest of the drivers.

Ive done this before on another E6530..but that one blew a mother board so I bought used E6530. But it won't boot up. It shows a blue screen then shuts fast down trying to restart. So I can't get the error code from the blue screen. I tried safe mode no dice.
Is there a way I can get this to boot up into Win7 and deal with any driver or hardware changes between the two? I would think they should be very similar. I've done this like I said in the past with other Dells of exact models..I like to have a spare to take on the road. And in case of failure like what just happened to one I had. I'm grateful I had the spare and didn't have to wait a few weeks to get my notebook. I update the hard drive or swap it out to be current all the time.
Any links you can send me to or advice?

Hi!  I'm having issues with a 6530 Laptop upgraded from 7 to Windows 10 Enterprise.  I "think" the E6530 Windows 10 Driver Pack found here will help.  However, when I add it to my download list or click download the file, I am taken to an html page:   http://downloads.dell.com/FOLDER03204203M/1/E6530-win10-A00-R40DX.html
Any ideas?

I work at a technical college and we are doing Windows 10 deployments.  The Latitude E6530 is on Dell's list of compatibility for the Windows 10 Anniversary update 1607.  I upgraded one of these laptops for a faculty person and after upgrading it is very slow.  I updated the latest video, network, chipset drivers and still the laptop takes a long time to bring up the login screen.  The laptop got even slower after encryption with Microsoft Bitlocker.  Is anyone else having similar issues?

My computer has recently started running quite slowly and freezing up for no apparent reason, mainly when attempting to use the internet via Firefox or Chrome, or when trying anything with system settings including explorer. However, once a program gets running, it usually runs pretty smoothly unless I let the computer go to sleep, at which point when I pull it out of sleep/hibernation it is one big FUBAR freeze-frame.

Now, I have quite frequently been able to fix my own computer issues, but when Avast!, MBAM, and defragging failed me, I figured I would come and ask for help.

I do NOT have a factory image. Apparently new laptops do not come with a physical disk and I did not make one when I set up Windows. I also do not have any system images, backups, or restore points as these have rarely helped me in the past.

I downloaded HijackThis and attached what it found. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a Dell Latitude D620 laptop running Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium edition. I use Google Chrome as my browser. Lately the damn thing keeps locking up and freezing and sometimes I have to reboot a half dozen or more times to get it to work smoothly. I have my computer password protected as well.

What is causing this annoying problem? Do I need more RAM? Sometimes video seizes up as well and the computer makes a loud buzzing noise. I suspect that I need to seriously beef up the amount of RAM I have, currently 2G, I think. I have a 500G hard drive on this thing, too.

Can anyone give me some clues as to what is going on? I have a fairly slow Internet connection, currently 3Mbps, because I can't afford AT&T Uverse's higher speeds. Maybe it's that the Internet is optimized for higher and faster speeds these days? I don't know. I know that my computer is old and slow compared to today's faster and more efficient tablets, but I am retired and can't afford the latest and greatest gadgets. So I have what I have and need to make the best of it.

So if someone can help me figure out what is going on, I'd appreciate it. Probably a combo of old computer, not enough RAM and a slow Internet speed, but it is what it is and I can't afford a lighter, faster gadget. If it is just a matter of more RAM and if I can afford yet another upgrade to the laptop, I can do that. PLEASE help! Thanks!

Hi please see the info here on page 2 http://www.dell.com/downloads/global...it_d620_en.pdf according to that 4gb is the max memory and that will only work if you have a 64 bit system as a 32 bit system will not see 4gb of ram.
When did you last clean out your fan and air vents wit a can of compressed air, have you run any diagnostics on the ram or hard drive, when did you last run disc clean up and defrag.

Hi all,

I was recently forced (thanks, Spyware) to reformat my PC and reinstall Windows XP.

I have encountered problems when running image emulation software, in particular: Daemon Tools Pro and Alcohol 120 (PowerISO works fine).

The installation process runs without incident, but when I run the application everything freezes and I am forced to manually power off and restart. As this happens with two different applications in a near-identical fashion, I presume the problem lies outside the programs.

I have used registry cleaning software and driver wizard programs in an effort to get all of my components running up to speed, but this hasn't solved the problem.

Caveat: In my Device Manager, there are a number of (!) devices:
- Standard floppy disk controller
- Multimedia Audio Controller
- SM Bus Controller
- USB Device

I'm not sure how relevant the Multimedia Audio Controller may be, as I am using an external soundcard which allows me to use Winamp etc. without any difficulties. I am also unsure as how to identify what these devices are and thus which drivers I need for them.

My system:
Intel 2.40ghz Dual Core
2GB Ram
Windows XP Professional
NVidia Geforce 8800 GTS 320mb

I have attached my DxDiag for your reference.

I thank you for your time and assistance with this matter, and if there's any other information please don't hesitate to ask.

Kind regards,

Just open the case of your desktop and perhaps with a little flashlight check which make and model your mainboard is, go to the manufactures website and download the drivers (usually support). This should take care of most of the ! in your device mangers list.

Insert the Windows XP CD into the CD drive, and then restart the computer. Click to select any options that are required to start the computer from the CD drive if you are prompted. When the "Welcome to Setup" screen appears, press R to start the Recovery Console. If you have a dual-boot or multiple-boot computer, select the installation that you must access from the Recovery Console. When you are prompted, type the Administrator password. If the administrator password is blank, just press ENTER.Type: chkdsk /rIt's important to have a space before the "/".To exit the Recovery Console and restart the computer, type exit at the command prompt, and then press ENTER.

Alright, so here's the story.
I have a Sony Vaio laptop that uses Windows 7 64-bit.
A few days ago I was working on a paper and after finishing, as opposed to turning the laptop off, saved the paper and let my laptop go into sleep mode. I've done this before and it's never hurt anything, but the next day when I turned my laptop back on it had troubles starting back up. I eventually had to take the battery out and restart it that way. After that, as the week progressed, my laptop just kept lagging more and more. It got to the point where I would just have to let it sit for twenty or so minutes, and then it would work fine from then on out. Knowing something was up, I decided to see if I needed to download any new updates, which I figured was possible since I just got my laptop back from GeekSquad about a few weeks ago for a different problem, and it was behind on updates then since it had been turned off for three weeks.
So, to cut a long story short, I downloaded the "vaio entertainment platform library updater, version" because my Vaio Update was telling me it was important I have it but it couldn't download it for some reason. The install wizard for it told me I needed to restart my computer, and so I did, and when I turned it back on it got stuck on a black screen. Eventually, I took the battery out so it would offer me the option of going into Safe Mode due to improper shutdown. I did, and tried to use "misconfig" to at least get me back... Read more

What did they fix?

Boot into Safemode - tap the F8 key repeatedly during boot-up.

How is overall system performance in Safemode? Any faster?

Run - http://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-d...tructions.html

Run Speccy - http://www.filehippo.com/download_speccy
- "File" | "Publish Snapshot" | Paste URL into your next post

Download SysInternals AutoRuns from Microsoft TechNet and SAVE it to your DOCUMENTS folder.

RIGHT-click on Autoruns.exe, select "Run as Administrator". Allow it to scan (status on bottom-left of screen). Save it as an ARN file (default file extension). Zip it up and attach to your next post.

A few questions, please -
1. How old is the system?
2. Did it come with Windows 7 x64?
3. How long does the battery last?
4. Has any hardware been replaced?
5. What is the exact model number? (look on label on bottom of laptop)

Hey guys,
I just started having some major issues with my computer.
I noticed it running slow so I checked the running processes and iexplorer.exe was running 3 times and svchost.exe was using quite a bit of memory and climbing. The strange part was that I wasn't even using IE.
From safemode I ran a scan with MalwareBytes and spybot S&D but they didn't find anything. I also ran a scan with TDSSKiller and it also didn't find anything.
The computer has frozen up twice now and seems to be taking a really long time to open programs.
I ran chkdsk /r on C: and there were no errors. I ran MemTest86+ for 20+ minutes and there were no errors.
Thanks in advance for any help!

I'm trying to update my Laitutde E6530 to the A20 Bios update but every time I try to run the E6530A20.exe file in Windows 7, it doesn't open and Windows won't open any new programs or even shut down until I power my laptop off and on again.   Basically running the update kills Windows.
I've tried running in Windows Safe mode, but that doesn't work either as Windows complains the program crashed.   I can't get the update to run at all.  I've verified the file is not corrupted as the SHA256 hash matches.
I successfully updated to A19 in the past, but A20 just kills Windows.
Any ideas on how I can update the bios?

Hi all,

A little background, as requested. First off, my computer could be considered a "dinosaur" in computer terminology, but I rarely do anything other than check email, browse the web and do the occasional work from home.

It has been running fine for years. Never really noticed any lags or extreme slowness, I'm assuming it's due to my not doing a lot of "space consuming" things.

The only thing I want to mention is that anything "Tor" related such as the "Tor Browser" or Bitcoins, they are to do with an anonymous browser that I have on my computer and have had installed for weeks with no issues at all. I need them when doing work at home to ensure anonymity.

Once those 2 temp folders appear and you can view their contents, select and delete EVERYTHING that's inside them.

If a few files resist being deleted, that's normal behavior. Leave them alone and delete EVERYTHING else.

After you're done, restart the computer.

Start HiJackThis, but don't run a scan.

Click on the "Open The Misc Tools Section" button.

Click on the "Open Uninstall Manager" button.

Click on the "Save List" button.

problem internet explorer 8 keeps freezing, running very slow when in the facebook,(eg, windows is not responding),allso complete freezup! very slow to move any body got an idear, please elan1948..

A:ie8 continually freezing in facebook running windows 7

Hey Elan1948,
If you find that your IE is freezing on facebook, here are some trouble-shooting steps you may try:
1. Run your anti-virus and an anti-spyware, to check for malware infections. Microsoft Security Essentials is a good freeware AV from Microsoft.
2. Clear Cache. Or else run your Junk Cleaner or CCleaner. In IE 7 or 8, click Tools > Internet options > Security > Reset all Zones to Default level
3. If still you find your IE giving problems, close it and run IE (No Add-ons). This opens up the browser without loading any add-ons, toolbars or plug-ins.
4. Run sfc /sc?annow and at the end reboot if asked for. This will replace corrupted system files if any.
If you find it running OK, then the problem is most probably caused by an addon. In that case you have two options :
- Use the manage Add-ons tool, and disable each one after the other to find out which one is causing the problem.
- In Internet Options, go to Advanced Tab and click on Reset tab. Restart IE. This step deletes all temp files, disables any add-ons, plug-ins, toolbars and also resets all changed settings to default. Although this is a quick-fix, you will have to re-install the add-ons.

I hope this helps!

Hi everyone,

I'm posting here today in hopes that someone will kindly assist me in tackling a number of performance issues that have come to fruition over the last two weeks or so. These issues have gradually grown to become more and more of a hindrance in my daily computer usage, and I alone have found myself to be stumped in resolving them over the past few days.

To describe the issues I'm currently facing with my desktop PC: I am noticing a dramatic decline in overall processing speed; programs and folders are taking far longer than usual to load up (sometimes up to 10 minutes before I even get a Windows 7 UAC prompt to permit the program to run); running programs will regularly go into a state of 'Not Responding', usually freezing up afterwards; 'explorer.exe' will regularly crash; browser plug-ins will regularly crash; mouse movements are noticeably jerky and keyboard input is also very laggy; CPU usage shoots up to 100% very often, with few programs running; operating system functionality is generally very sluggish, and the computer will generally lock-up after freezing up, forcing me to turn it off manually.

I can't recall anything that might have caused these issues in performance to arise. I don't run many programs at the same time, nor do I have many background programs running. I initially suspected it may be malware-related, but neither Malwarebytes, Spybot S&D, nor Comodo Internet Security were able to identify any potential threats after running ful... Read more

Okay, so this is kinda strange to me.
Last October, our desktop PC (HP Pavilion p7-1074) had one nasty mother of a virus or something on it and nothing was fixing it.  So, for the first time in my life I performed what I think is called a "clean install" of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. (forgive me for my naivety, I've never had to do any "major" repairs to a PC before).
Alright, so, immediately after the clean installation (hadn't installed any drivers or programs yet) the computer ran perfectly.  However, after installing all of the updates and putting the necessary drivers on it, the computer would do this intermittent freezing every 5 minutes or so and the freeze would last for about 5 minutes.  After the freeze, the PC would work for about 60 seconds and do another 5-minute freeze again.  Basically, the PC was rendered useless as I couldn't even navigate the explorer or anything without it stalling.
I just assumed it was hardware related at this point.  Something was fried, I thought.
So, after several attempts of getting it to work, I said "Screw this, let's try this Linux Ubuntu everyone's always talking about.  Maybe it isn't hardware related."
Wiped Windows 7 off the harddrive and have never been so happy to do so.  Ubuntu 12.10 is running like Falcor on a spring day.  Which makes me think that nothing is fried hardware-wise if this is running just fine.
Why is a completely updated Linux OS working just fine, but W... Read more

To secure our laptops we also use Microsoft Bitlocker which makes them even slower.  Has anyone come across issues?

Are they equipped with 8G of RAM?  If not, they're going to be swapping a lot to disc - which will be slow if they're running conventional hard drives rather than SSDs.

Hi all, I'm in need of some help here!

My PC has been acting a little funky lately(not showing desktop icons or background on startup) so I decided to run a virus scan through MalwareBytes. It found a couple of Trojans and a Pony, which were promptly deleted but it has been having trouble finishing the scan. Every time I run the virus scan now, it freezes up on different files in SYSWOW64(specifically C:\WINDOWS\SYSWOW64\uniplat.dll) . After it freezes up, if I try clicking on anything outside of MBAM my mouse goes to endless rotating circle, the screen becomes whitewashed, and nothing responds. Trying to access Task Manager gives me a "Windows is not responding" message and all I can do is restart the PC and try again.

I've done this multiple times today and yesterday with the same result (Including in safe mode). I can't find a restore point that works and I'd rather not have to reinstall 7 but I can if I have to. All drivers are up to date and so is BIOS. I did torrent a couple movies a few days ago and I assume a virus hopped on with one of those.

Just a few minutes ago, on one of the restarts, the PC booted into Startup Repair and told me that C:\PSHED.dll was corrupt and could not repair it. It then restarted just fine, I deleted and redownloaded MBAM , started again in Safe Mode and ran MBAM where it froze up again on the same file C:\WINDOWS\SYSWOW64\uniplat.dll

I hope this is enough info, but if you need more I'll send it right away!

the problem i'm getting is that constantly now the laptop losing its internet connection (goes to limited connectivity) or cannot connect then when i try troubleshooting/diagnosing/open the network center as soon as i run the troubleshooting etc the laptop freezes then the only way it will work again is to turn it off and back on, i would then get an internet connection again, sometimes for half an hour but often no more than five minutes.

I'm pretty sure the wireless Internet is not the issue as the fault occurs exactly the same at

My house
Girlfriends house
and has also happened when using a friends wireless at his place
so the same internet connection fault occurs at three separate connections which leads me to believe its the laptop playing up .

any ideas, help or checks i could do would be great .
thanks in advance

Some common issues I have found to resolve similar type issues are:

1. Update network driver
2. Delete network profiles and remake them
3. run a "netsh winsock reset" from command prompt
4. Update Bios, may be a PCI communication error?
5. Replace wifi card (under warranty?)
6. Run a virus scan, somthing like Offline defender, good sucess with this, or Kaspersky rescue disc.

I don't have any real idea of what the problem could be at this point. I have tried uninstalling unnecessary programs without any change in the way that the computer is behaving. HijackThis won't post a log file and also says that I have been denied write access to the Hosts file.  Any suggestions?

Hello everybody. I have a store on ebay called Mark's Media Ark (stores.ebay.com/MARKS-MEDIA-ARK) and I am trying to find software or a program that would allow adding the "add to cart" button to all of my listings at one time. I always have close to 500 listings and it would take forever to add the button one listing at a time. Thanx in advance.

I'm trying to work with Zen-Cart to set up a online shopping site.

Does anyone out there have any experience with Zen-Cart? Is it just me or is the configuration process brutally complicated? I have their 400 page manual, but even with that it takes me hours to scratch the surface of this thing.

I have the manual up on one monitor, the admin page up in another monitor and the Zen-Cart website help page up on a third monitor and it is still just going too slow.

Is there a different interface out there or something to simplify all of the options and menus?

I'm not a programmer, that may be part of the problem, and I know Zen-Cart is free and I've seen some really nice sites that were built using it but I've burned hours getting almost nowhere.

Any thoughts?

Ok, so I just set up a merchant account, now I need the shopping cart thing.
I have no experience doing this sort of thing, and I could use a little help getting it going.

basically I need to know:

where do I go to get a shopping cart (free would be preferable, since I already paid for the account...), and how do I integrate it into my website?

Is there somewhere I can go to just get the code so I can "copy and paste" into an html form? what language would it use? Java, php, html, etc.

Hi. Recently my laptop screen started to flash. And sometimes the screen was just getting dark and had to do a hard restart. I was told this is from overheating of the graphics card. So it may overheat when the computer is booted or from the other to do would not have agregaty. Sometimes he revived from this state and showed the box that says " display driver stopped responding and has successfully recovered ". I tried to change the driver, but to no avail. Want poverty/repaired under warranty, but will be able to do it?? Thank you.

I downloaded CubeCart and am trying to work on it in either Dreamweaver or the File Manager on my server. Either one will work but I'm CLUELESS as to where to start.

I don't know how to put this all together and make it work and the installation instructions may has well be written in Greek. I don't know where to start...there are two header.php and two index.php and two of this and two of that and you get the drift. HELP....I need someone to walk me thru this or I may just lose my mind.

I downloaded Cube Cart cause I can *mangle* the logo easier than I can the one on osCommerce. At least I did when I was using the server I had before but that one had it laid out where I could identify which files were which...now I am on my own. This isn't a Fantasico or C-panel. Liz

A:Okay, I am trying to put together my shopping cart

First off, does your web server or web site meet the requirements for using CubeCart? PHP 1, MySQL on a Unix/Linux Server?

I just finished my first Windows 7 system a few weeks ago. A curious issue occurred about two weeks ago.

Whenever I shut down my computer for a few hours, then start it back up, about 5 minutes after the start up is complete, my PC has a memory management error. What makes this curious, though, is the fact that once the PC is up and running, I receive no further BSOD. Similarly, if I just restart the computer, all is well. Or, when I just go into sleep mode and restart normally, there is no issue. In addition, running in safe mode doesn't replicate the problem, either.

Here's my system information:

Windows 7, x64

Age of the hardware is relatively new, as well as the installation date.

I cannot seem to generate a System Health Report. I'm getting the apparently common message (page not found).

Thanks for the read.

A:Get the Crash Cart!

Try a system restore to when it was working nicely.
Restore Previous Folder Windows at Logon
Maybe you download something that messed your system up.

I am wanting to do a shopping cart for my clothing line company. Standard buying and selling etc.. I have looked at a few options. I am not sure what my boss entirely wants but i enjoy the php/mysql options, though maybe I want ASP or something else? I have found myriads of these at vairous prices and some free? I was hoping someone here in the techsupportguy forums could give me some experience suggestions or ask me questions to determine my needs and then give a suggestion on that. If i can get away with inexpensive and highly flexable or powerful whatever software that would be great! The boss is kind of looking at cold fusion but thats not anything solid. we just want something excellent. He has had a bit of experience with it. Anyone Anyone ?

and um.. is this the right forum to ask this type of a q?

I am building a website for a company and I need a way for customers to select and order their products.
Does anybody know of a "simple" way to do this?

No, I don't know Perl.

If not what's the simplest? hehe

They are a big company but only sell a half dozen products.

A:order form (cart?)

Hi, AZ

Re: shopping cart...

If you want to explore the possible coding behind it you might like to look at the following:

I also know there are applications around that you can use without having to learn code:

Short of that, the choices are going to involve a server-side language. Perl isn't that hard to learn. Well, I think it's a doddle compared to Java. The only other thing to add is: if the customers are ordering online, make sure you've considered security. A lot of webspace providers cater for this...as well as providing shopping cart solutions and support.

Hope this is of some help.

Don't know if this is the proper forum or not but does anyone know what the best source (price) for HP inkjet cartridges might be? I've looked at a number of web sites but prices don't seem to be any better than Office Depot/Office Max etc. Used to get them for a good price at Costco but they don't carry my cartridge anymore. Thanks for the help.

A:Best Inkjet Cart. Prices

Whichever of these three have the best price, when I'm ready to buy, is where I get mine.
I only use their generic inks in my Epson. The generics work great. They look as good as the name brand ink, and last just as long.

Afternoon! I am working on an Excel file where I can add items to a Cart in the excel file. I actually got the code from another post on this forum but i'm having an issue.
