I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hi guysI have been trying to install microsoft flight simulator x since yesterday and I was having errors all the time. (It was giving an error about Simconnect) and after doing some research, I resolved it by installing SDK and Simconnect manually, but now I have another problem...Whenever I click fsx.exe it says "This version of the file is not compatible with the version of windows you are running. Check your system information to determine if you need 32 bit or 64 bit version of the file and contact the publisher of the software"Also, I cannot install Acceleration expansion pack. As I click "setup" it says "Flight Simulator X: Acceleration requires english version of Flight Simulator X" and it quits installation. By the way I already have the english version of the game.I am running Windows 7 Ultimate Edition (x64). I have Nvidia Geforce GTX 260, Intel Core i5 750, 4GB of DDR3 1333 RAMI also use Norton Internet Security 2010I wish I can find a solution here.

Make sure web address is correct.
Look for the page with search engine.
Refresh page in a few minutes.
Does anyone have any ideas as to why this section won't come up. I have extensive ADDON scenery and aircraft installed so hopefully I do not have to uninstall this program and re-install it .

Although I've found that the startup routine can find the FS CD even when it is in the wrong drive, do be sure you have placed it in the same drive you installed it from, if you have more than one.

If you have WinXP also check the Administrative Tools > Event viewer log for errors. You may find something either under System or Applications.

Why would you expect people in a Windows 7 forum to know if a game is compatible with Windows 10?
For any and all Windows 10 discussions you must post in the appropriate Windows 10 IT Pro forum.  Click on the link to go there.
This is a Windows 7 forum and Windows 7 does not have the same problems as Windows 10.  Therefore you must post in an appropriate Windows 10 IT Pro category
forum where Windows 10 problems are discussed!

Hi
I am running both FSX and FS 2004 on my box, no problems on either I have Home Premium 64bit

Have you updated your video drivers?

Have you gone into your settings and decreased some of the graphics settings? Start at the default settings and gradually increse them.

You can also increase your frame rate in your graphics setting, the recommended framerate is 20-30,

Try re-install if all else fails

Hope that helps

It seems that I have an intermittent problem with the game. I flew from Seattle to San Francisco in 3.2 hours without a hitch. Then later in the day (after shutting down the computer for a few hours) I took off from San Francisco and 10 minutes later the game just goes away. No message, no warning, no nothing. Just goes right to the desktop.

I have reloaded the game several times with a clean boot. Still have the problem, sometimes.

Iím pretty sure that itís not overheating. My cpu, hard drives and video card never get over 30 deg. C.

The system is brand new and I have run all of the diagnostics over the memory that I can find.

Here is my system:

Processor: Intel Pentium 4 3.2 Ghz with hyper threading
Motherboard: ABIT IC7 ĖG with hyper threading and built in RAID 0
Sound Card: Creative Audigy2 Platinum
Graphics Card: PNY Verto GeForce FX 5900 Ultra AGP with 256 MB DDR
Memory: 2 Gig.
Hard drives: 2 wd 360DGRTL Raptors hooked into the RAID 0
Case: Super Alien with 6 fans and temp indicators. Extra fan added in the slot next to Video Card
OS: Windows XP Pro with service pack 1

Anyone seen this problem before? Anyone know how to fix it?

Thanks in advance,

A:Flight Simulator 2004 skins?

Hi Daniel,

Try going to the Abacus software website. They have a program called FSRepaint (very creative!). You can download a demo of it from their downloads page I think. This will let you view all of your exsiting aircraft and repaint them. Unfortunately the demo will not let you save them.

Alternately go to the avsim website and have a look at their forums. You should be able to find what you're looking for.

Cheers,

Hello everyone I'm new to the forum here but am an active member of the flight simulator community, just for fact I speak French, English and Spanish.

Anyway I have been looking for solutions to the most annoying problem you can have in gaming; stuttering and CTD's.

When I go onto Flight Simulator 2004 it all seems to run fine at startup and then it'll run jerkily while on a flight. On the ground there doesn't seem to be much problem but once in the air the simulator will begin to stutter like crazy. A hiccup about every 5-7 seconds which is very annoying. FS2004 is running at 60FPS for me constantly and it doesn't drop below that but when panning and having the aircraft move you can see the stutters clearly.

The other thing is that when I close FS I get this Windows Error Reporting message that states that my simulator has just crashed. I've tried reinstalling the simulator about twice now and it does not fix the problem.

It states is as an APPCRASH and it says the FAULT MODULE to be STACKHASHd9d3d something. I searched the file on my system and nothing popped up. Looked for information online and nothing appeared as well on StackHash. The crash happens after I exit the sim.

Here is my current system, it seems very top notch for Flight Simulator:

Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium x64
Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 @ 3.16GHz ~ 3.80GHz/400MHz x 9.5 Mult

I am checking on this problem for a non-member so please bear with me. Has anyone had trouble with Windows 8 and Flight Simulator 2004? THE problem is this -- when we install FS2004 it seems to go in ok but when we try to create a flight and choose an aircraft the plane does not appear in the preview screen. The plane can be flown as normal but it just doesn't appear in the preview plane. Also , I installed some new planes downloaded from AVSIM.Com &/or Flight Sim.com, they doe not even appear in the airplane library. But if I go into the EXPLORER and open the airplane file the new planes that I installed are in the proper locations but do not appear in the library as mentioned
. I have uninstalled this program and reinstalled it at least a half dozen times but no change. Can anyone help with this problem. I cannot get the TSG Sysinfo at this time as the unit is approx. 100 miles away from my location at this time. I would appreciate any help I can get on this problem. I tried emailing Microsoft but cannot seem to get to the right location within their system. To contact them by phone is very costly so that's were I'm at.

A:Solved: Flight Simulator 2004 and Windows 8

There is a compatibility error with the Flight Simulator 2004 game.

Windows 8, being the latest in Windows genre of operating system requires latest softwares to run with.

The game is preety old and don't conform to the requirments of Windows8 compatibility.
Flight Sim X is compatible

The only chance for 2004 is as below but I do not think it will work

There is a feature built in every Windows which is Backward Compatibility, which helps newer windows to run older programs but the Flight Simulator is too old.
Try to run the game in compatibility mode,
Right Click on the Game Icon and from the menu select Run in compatibility mode, and select Windows previous versions mask. If this method fails, you are back to FS X

Hello, this is my first post to this site. I've recently been upgrading everything I can find on my PC that I don't have to pay for, and so far I've added a significant amount of performance with simple things like driver updates. The only problem I've had so far is with the SiS 760 that is built into my computer. I updated the driver first using an update I found on microsoft's site, and it increased my framerate on flight simulator 2004 by about 7-15 fps. I was ecstatic at the speed increase, until I switched to ****pit view and the instrument panel looked like this...(my post count is 0 so i can't directly link the image, replace the underscores with periods)
i43_photobucket_com/albums/e384/gnomepuntz/FS2004SS1_jpg

I rolled back the driver and the problem went away. Then I searched around and went to the SiS official site. I downloaded a driver that was newer than the one on microsoft's site and the problem came back again. I think it has something to do with overlays, but they didnt put a lot of configuration options in the driver config util. The problem doesn't happen all the time, it will occur with one aircraft and then upon switching to another it will go away, and yet the next time i try it using an aircraft that didnt have the problem before, it will come back. I realize that the newest drivers are not always the best. I've searched this site's forum and a few other sites, and I've found many many threads w... Read more

Hello,

I recently bought and installed the Flight Simulator X Acceleration Pack in my laptop, but when I play it I have a poor performance, such as low FPS and chopped gameplay, so I have weather, scenary and traffic in very low, but for the resolution it is the same for my computer to use a low one (1024 x ....) than the higher one (1280 x ....). Does anybody know how I can fix it? My laptop has the following specification:

Acer Aspire 5715Z
OS: Windows Vista 32 bit with DirectX 10,
Processor: Intel Pentium dual-core T2370 (1.73 GHz, 533 MHz FSB, 1 MB L2 Cache),
2GB RAM,

Video Card: 358 MB Mobile Intel Graphic Media Accelerator X3100,
Chipset: Mobile Intel (R) 965 Express Chipset Family,
Controller Version: 7.15.0010.1666,

I am not sure if it is because it uses a lot of CPU resources, or if it is because of the processor or the Video Card. I have other games as Age of Empires 3 and it has a high performance, even if guns are firing!

Thanks.

Hello all

I had problems installing this program until I downloaded new drivers... then it worked fine.

I have purchased the Pro Flight Yoke System and I don't have a clue what to do with all of these controls.
I mean is there a model to follow how most flight sim junkies program these controls?
In addition...
Is it just me or is every rookie 'white knuckled' attempting to control this simulator with the yoke?
My fingers are numb after I fly a mission... and sometimes lucky enough to land.

Also, getting to know where I am in relation to the runway is another frustration, let alone landing.

Sure to be not alone in the beginning attempts at a new diversion.

On another note--In speaking with a PC tech today he mentioned that Microsoft is scrapping Vista.
Too many problems.
I don't like it. In my opion XP was much better.

If Microsoft does let it go, does anyone think they will send the new program to all duped Vista users?

Thanks for reading my thoughts.

I just purchased MS Flight Simulator X; however, after reading the early reviews at Amazon I wonder if I should break the seal on the box. Even though my PC more than meets the minimum requirements, I'm not sure it's powerful enough to adequately handle MSFS X.
Dell Dimension 8250

2.80 gigahertz Intel Pentium 4

119.99 Gigabytes Usable Hard Drive Capacity
59.98 Gigabytes Hard Drive Free Space

1536 Megabytes Installed Memory
8 kilobyte primary memory cache
512 kilobyte secondary memory cache

128 DDR ATI Radeon 9700 Pro w/TV-Out [Display adapter]
128 DDR ATI Radeon 9700 Pro w/TV-Out Sec [Display adapter]
Proview AY865C [Monitor] (18.2"vis, s/n 11224, April 2003)

Creative Audigy Audio Processor (WDM)
Unimodem Half-Duplex Audio Device

Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 (build 2600)

The minimum requirements are:

Windows XP SP2 - 256 MB
1..0 GHz processor
15 GB hard drive
DirectX 9 hardware compatibility and audio card with speakers and/or headphones
DirectX 9.0c compliant video card with 32mb of ram and support for hardware transformation and lighting

I figure I'm at least a year away from buying a new PC, so I'm thinking maybe I should return my copy of MSFS X and wait another year or so to ... Read more
