Preferred Solution: Wrong BIOS on website for Lenovo V310-15ISK

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hello,I have flashed my laptop's BIOS with the tool from the support page, I can see that the new BIOS version is installed (0ZCN26WW), but the EC version is different (0ZEC25WW).I have even enabled the BIOS rollback feature so I could flash it twice as I've seen in a different post, but still no good luck. Is this a normal behaviour? Should let it be, or do I have to do anything else? Thanks,Alex

Hello everybody! I just picked up my new V310-15ISK with Windows 10 Professional. The notebook came with a Western Digital 1TB hard drive and I want to change it with a Samsung 850 Evo SSD. Certainly, I want to keep all the recovery partitions, which means that I have to shrink them to the new drive's size 250GB. I made a clone with AOMEI Partition Assistant but it doesn't boot it gives error code 0xc0000000e "your system needs maintencance". Any ideas?

I have a Lenovo v310-15isk laptop for 5 months. Today the touchpad's left click has been stucked (it had problems since the first few weeks ... it was used/deteriorated very quickly), it is stuck inside a bit to the left , and it can no longer be used.I do not want to disassemble my laptop because the touchpad is "bad"positioned. I still have warranty. Can I send it to the warranty for this reason? somehow it would seem silly (because probably is not a big problem but for me it is and it bothers me a lot) but can I? sorry for my english.Thank you in advance!

I have a Lenovo notebook V310-15ISK type 80SY and I want to upgrade my RAM.What is the maximum memory that can be installed? It has a 4 gb of DDR4-2133 MHz soldered on the motherboard and one open slot for adding additional memory. The hardware manual says 'maximum supported memory'   - 8gb.Does this mean the most that can be added is 4gb?   or can an 8gb stick be added?

Hi, this is my first post in this forum. So I just bought this IdeaPad V310-15ISK model a week ago and it really seems like a solid budget laptop, except for one thing, the fan will sometimes make this noise that sounds like the fan is about to run at full speed but only last like 2 seconds, it happens randomly like every 30 minutes or hour and it's really annoying. It has been doing this since the beginning. The laptop came without an OS so I installed Windows 7 x64 on it, but it also happens with other operating systems like Linux. Is this a normal thing of this model? or is just a problem of my laptop? what can I do to fix it?

Hi T247,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

You can check the ac charger if working ok from the power checkout guide here (page 21). If the machine is receiveing power, the battery indicator led should show up either blinking amber (low battery power) that would change to white after being plugged in for 1-2 hours.

If you still have warranty then call in the store for referral to the nearest service center or call tech support. Else, have it check to the nearest board technician center closest.

I hope this helps answer your query.

Regards

Hello everyone, I've been looking around and can't seem to find a model number specifically, but I want to replace the battery on my V310-15ISK, so if anyone could advise where to get an original replacement battery, I'd appreciate it.Secondly, the back panel on my laptop is missing a few screws, so it's not fully attached to the laptop. I was replacing the wireless card and upgrading my RAM and I have misplaced 2 screws that hold the back panel on, so if anyone knows where to get those and what exact size they are, I'd be even happier. All replies will be appreciated. Thanks

Hi,Recently I decided to upgrade my laptop to a new SSD(default hard drive is a Western Digital 1TB). But I wanted to keep the default HDD as additional storage and for that i also bought a HDD caddy. I installed Windows 10 on my new ssd after replacing the old hdd with it and tried to connect the HDD through caddy in optical bay. And here all the problems started.1. Most of the time the PC stucks at the Lenovo sign when trying to boot with the HDD in the caddy2. If it boots (1 out of 10 times) the HDD is not recognized by windows3. However if I reinstall the IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers driver, first time i restart the computer, the HDD works just fine, it's recognized and it's accessible. But after a new restart the  problems 1 and 2 are reoccuring. The BIOS sees the HDD connected.I tried lots of tutorials, steps, tools but nothing seems to work. The caddy was tested on another laptop with my HDD in it and it works just fine(so it's not a caddy problem neither an HDD one).I saw another similar topic here but it hasn't been updated since March 2018.Any clues on this? Is there any size limitiation for a caddy with HDD  in optical bay for this model? Is there any patch that can help with this problem? Any info would be really appreciated.

Hello, Recently I bought a Lenovo V310-15ISK with 1 TB HDD storage and I bought an M.2 Intel SSD 600p 256GB because I read on this page about "Dual Storage Option" feature. The problem is with the SSD, it doesn't show up in BIOS as HARD 2 or HARD 1 (I can see just the HDD), but when I try to install Windows 10 I can see the SSD but I cannot create a new partition on it every time when I try to create a new parition the installer hangs for about 3 minutes and show an error message (We couldn't create a new partition [Error 0xa4cc6be0].), I can't even create a new parition in Disk Management. What I did:Update the BIOS to the latest version.Use Intel Data Migration Software to create a new parition and migrate the Windows from HDD to SSD.Installed the SSD on my PC and create a new Windows partition and it worked (but on the laptop it doesn't work).

Hi, My laptop has a HDD WD of 1 TB.The problem is that the laptop is very slow due to the speed of HDD.I have installed Win7 and Win 10  but the laptop performance remaining low due to the speed of HDD.I want to upgrade by changing it with a SSD or at least with a SSHD .I choosed as options Samsung 860 EVO M2  of  1 TB and Seagate Firecuda SSHD 2TB/8 GBSearching in the Hardware maintenance manual-p91 (https://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/pccbbs/mobiles_pdf/v310_14isk-15isk_hmm_20160414.pdf) I see that the laptop can accept M2 SSD, but there are specified only 128 GB SSD.Also there are not so many SSHD specified in the maintenance guide. In 2 years appeared many SSD models and some SHD also.1.Is the SSD model  Samsung 860 EVO M2  of  1 TB compatible from technical point of view with the laptop (SN LR07653S)?2.is the SHD Seagate Firecuda SHD 2TB/8 GB compatible with the laptop? It is important to know if the models are compatible because if I buy a SSD is quite expensive to use it only as external SSD.Where I can find  an updated list of SSD/SSHD compatible with the laptop model ?Thank you Sorin_S
