Lenovo Thinkpad T570 Intel graphics driver problem

Q: Lenovo Thinkpad T570 Intel graphics driver problem

Hello Lenovo, I work daily on my Lenovo Thinkpad T570 and I am very satisfied with the machine. However, there is quite an irritating problem with the laptop. The fact is, that my laptop runs Windows 10 October build 1809 and runs the newest driver from Lenovo for the Intel GPU.That is version: 24.20.100.6344.This driver version causes a lot of screen flickering on a screen connected through the HDMI port.Intel has released a new driver. Version: 25.20.100.6444.To solve the problem, Lenovo has to push this new driver. Do others also experience this problem with this driver that is known to be faulty with the October update?

I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

  Hello there

I am using Windows 10. I made a Windows update. The version of the 1803 OS has been disabled after I updated the 17133.1 version. I downloaded and did not download the driver for the graphics card from Lenovo Support. He's making trouble. I also downloaded the latest driver from Intel support, which is incompatible with this version of Windows. How we can solve this problem ?

According to this post by Lenovo Lenovo devices tested for Windows 10 version 1809 (October 2018), Intel Graphics Driver version 24.20.100.6286 or newer should be installed before attempting to upgrade to October update. The most recent intel graphics driver version availabe for Yoga 260 is 24.20.100.6170. Are there any plans to release the new intel graphics driver version for Yoga 260? If I manually update my system without first updating the intel driver, will it cause any issues?

I've spent the last 7 hours trying to get my programs to work correctly, however it appears to be an Intel Graphics Driver issue. 4 (3?) programs I want to work:Blender (open source 3d modelling)Krita (open source painting)libGDX (open source Java game framework, based on GLFW)GLFW (open source C++ OpenGL library) I've read: https://developer.blender.org/T51521Which is the exact issue I have. This is aparently fixed in a new driver from Intel, but Lenovo hasn't released it for the Thinkpad X1 Yoga (2nd Gen) yet.Can those in the know please give an update for this?

Hi,I have that model of the laptop stated in the subject. The laptop was lagging when streaming videos, scrolling web pages, moving open folders with the mouse on the desktop, doing some work, literally when doing anything. Also the screen had a pink like white in normal mode and in HDR mode. I found that when you move the mouse the laptop makes up to 50% GPU usage, when streaming videos the laptop makes extra 50% usage without even moving the mouse. That usage comes from a task called "Desktop Window Manager". After some Windows update I got the driver 26.20.100.7262 which made the issue less noticeable but not good. Also the the pink like white was gone. Now I got the driver 26.20.100.7529 and the same as before the 26.20.100.7262. Please fix the problems as soon as possible. It is ridiculous buying your top end laptop and performing worst than your low end ones.

My config: 8550u, 16gb ram, 2560x1440 HDR panelLatest drivers on all the components, everything is kept up-to-date via lenovo vantage windows app. This behavior happens with and without Intelligent Cooling option in lenovo vantage I have noticed that updating to latest intel hd graphics driver 25.20.100.6472 (either via windows update DCH drivers - which are enforced by the way - or via lenovo support website ) my laptop is not working properly anymore -> I get constant stutters / freezes of around 1-3 seconds (tried with both wired mouse and touchpad). This freezes generally occur shortly after the system boots - mainly after 5-10 minutes after the boot time, then they occur regularly and never stop. It's also curious that any action done during the freeze period will register after the  mentioned 1-3 seconds delay. The only workaround I have found is to use Rollback driver to version 24.20.100.6223 from device manager for the intel hd graphics, so this tells me that most likely there are issues with the latest drivers from Intel and my Lenovo x1c 6th gen.  I will be more than happy to provide any needed logs, however I am not that technical myself and don't know where to look.

Can anyone help with the following.  Have recently purchased Lenovo ThinkPad USB 3.0 Pro Dock Station (Type: 40A70045UK) so I can run two monitors.  I had previously Fujitsu port replicator supplied from work when running Windows 7 and all was good. But once I moved over to Windows 8 and 10 port replicator stopped working.  So recently brought the Lenovo Pro Doc.   Wireless monitor and mouse work fine but monitors showing nothing. I contacted DisplayLink who got me to run a few tests on my computer and came back and said 'The graphics card and the graphics card drivers of your Lenovo are not designed for Windows 10, this is probably why the displays are not working correctly. The graphic drivers predate Windows 10 by three years.' I've tried updating the graphic drivers for a start but upon trying to update the graphic driver (Intel HD Graphics Driver for Windows 10 (64-bit) - ThinkPad, Version: 20.19.15.4963, Released 27 Aug 2018), I receive a message right at the end saying: 'This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software.' I'm running Intel i5, 8GB of RAM and plently of space on C drive.  There is nothing in the Readme text file mentioning minimum requirments to install this driver. Any suggestions? I read here you can't upgrade the graphic card on my computer, so hopping just updating the graphic might work but have seen online I could use an external USB Graphic card adapter to ... Hi RajinderD! Welcome to our forums community.

The Thinkpad X201 is not compatible to run Windows 10 because there are no drivers for it. We suggest you to downgrade to Windows 7 or 8 instead and you can get the drivers here: https://download.lenovo.com/eol/index.html. And also, from the listed compatible devices for Thinkpad USB 3.0 Pro Dock, we can't seem to find the Thinkpad X201. I have a Lenovo T570 (intel i5 version) with no graphic card in it, and i saw that some T570 (T570-20HAS01E00) are sold with graphic card (940MX). So I was wondering if there was any way I could add this same graphic card inside my laptop.
Maybe if the base structure is the same, there is a slot waiting for that GC ?

Thanks in advance !

I noticed my X1E2 started changing the refresh rate back and fort between 48 and 60Hz when plugged/unplugged, despite how I set it in Intel Graphics Control Panel. I checked Intel graphics driver version and it says 26.10.100.7529 in both Device Manager and IGCP. However, both Lenovo System Update and Lenovo drivers page (via Service bridge) tell me that I need to install driver 26.10.100.7529. I tried doing it both ways, but after the reboot I'm still prompted to update to 26.10.100.7529. This is labeled as a critical update. I manually downloaded the driver and installed it. Rebooted the laptop and still get the same notification. I am not sure what system thinks is installed on it. I'm not sure what's going on. Any ideas? I'm just trying to stop the refresh rate from switching when I unplug the laptop. Thanks.

Hi, You can get around the restriction imposed by the oem graphics package by manually installing the Intel Graphics driver as follows. First, download the latest Intel HD4600 driver for your notebook from the link below and save it to your Downloads folder - you need the first option ( ie win64_154025.4463.zip ).  Note:  If you wish to install a different driver version from Intel, the method is still the same. https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26079/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-15-40-4th-Gen-?... When done, download and install the .64bit version of 7-Zip on the link below. http://www.7-zip.org/ When you've installed 7-Zip, open your Downloads folder, right click on the win64_154025.4463.zip package, select 7-Zip, select extract files and then click Ok. Cut this newly extracted folder and paste it on your Desktop so it's easy to find. When done, hold down the Windows key and press R Into the Run window, type devmgmt.msc and hit enter. In Device Manager, expand Display adapters, right click the Intel 4600 device and select 'Update Driver Software'. In the following window, select 'Browser my computer for driver software' and then select 'Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer'. In the next window, click the 'Have Disk' button and then browse to the extracted Intel win64_154025.4463 folder you pasted on your Desktop. Browse into the sub-folder Graphics, left click on t... My Thinkpad X1 Carbon 4th 20FB with Win10 was working fine with Photoshop when it had Intel HD Graphics Driver - 10 [64] V21.20.16.4550 Using the Lenovo Companion, I let it upgrade the graphics driver to V21.20.16.4718 back in late July.  Immediately after this upgrade, Photoshop no longer rendered images properly, making it useless.  Images that are opened do not appear on the screen and the UI is jumbled.  I reverted to driver v21.20.16.4550 through Companion as that version was still listed, and everything was fine again.  I noticed the other day upon opening Photoshop that I had the rendering problem again.  I checked my graphics driver version in Device Manager, and somehow it updated to v22.20.16.4785 (although I cannot figure out how, as Lenovo Companion does not show an update to this version in its history, and neither does Windows Update). All I want to do is rollback my graphics driver to v21.20.16.4550, which I know works.  But this is not an option any longer in Companion, and this version is not present on the Lenovo website either.  Obtaining this version through 3rd party websites is not Lenovo specific and refuses to install. Please provide me a link or a place to go where I can get Intel HD Graphics Driver - 10 [64] V21.20.16.4550

Hi dcortes8489.... welcome to the forum
you could try & reinstall the driver in ''safe mode'' the original install may be corrupted somehow....

how hot is your laptop..?? heat could be causing the GFX unit to fail & recover....

Hello,  After fresh installation of Windows 10 (genuine PRO from Microsoft webpage), I begin to losing connection on my Wi-fi. It stops working after some time, every time in different intervals and I must manually reconnect. First I change some settings that I found on google related to this issue, but nothing works. So next suspect was wifi card, so I made an upgrade to Intel 9260. After the update, Lenovo Vantage software doesn't make any updates, after 15% return unresponsible server error. I already updated the driver manually for the wifi card.  in short:1. Dropping wifi connection2. Vantage doesn't work after a hardware update Do you have any solutions for that? Anything to try before reinstalling Windows again? Best regards and TIA

HelloWhen I install latest Intel HD driver (24.20.100.6170) from Lenovo I notice some screen issue with color depth compared to older drivers. The problem is on the external monitors (through dock, hdmi etc...) It seems like screen is "pixelated", colors are not smooth...its hard to describe. RegardsLongin
