Preferred Solution: Can powerbank charge my Yoga 3, 11 inch laptop?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Why is it not possible to charge the notebook battery with 30W @ 20V?Why only 45 W and 65 W @ 20 V? I wanted to use this PowerBank with PD support "Anker PowerCore+ 26800mAh Powerbank with Power Delivery"  but only 30W @20V Output. So at the moment it doesn't work if the notebook is on. On standby it works and charges the battery with 30W. Why only when the notebook is off or in standby??

Hi,I got and AUKEY PB-XD20 with USB PD (Power Delivery) 12V 1,5A - 18W.When I connect it to my yoga it charges it for few seconds than disconnects. Repeating the cycle over and over. The thing is - when I turned Yoga off and leave it connected to this power bank time the % of the battery is going up.When Yoga is up, after few cycles it gets crazy and hangs - forcing me to restart it. Can someone at Lenovo take a look into it and allow to charge it with some lower wattage while off? I do not want to break anything, but this cycle is probably worse than constant power delivery.

So I haven't had any charging issues recently, but suddenly my Yoga will not charge. I've tried several different outlets, and my Yoga keeps switching between charging and not charging. I don't have another charger to test unfortunately, but any suggestions? I don't know why this is happening. My charger hasn't moved in the past week, and the problem came out of nowhere. It does charge normally if I pass the charge through a USB-C dongle.

A:Yoga 910 Laptop Will Not Charge

Seems like a defective charger, since it charges through the dongle. Contact Lenovo support; they'll have that replaced for you

I bought this laptop (Ideapad 100s-14IBR) about 2 weeks ago. First I fully restore Windows 10 to start fresh but after a while I notice that when I charge my laptop, it will stop at 80%. It will not charge to 100%. I looked up on the internet and many suggest that it has something to do with the energy management setup. Suppose it  there are two option 1. fully use the battery 2. optimise the battery life. I search everywhere in my c:\ and I cannot find the "energy management" software. Others suggested that the battery is dying....but I just bought this laptop...how can that be? Please help....

A:Lenovo Ideapad 100s 14 inch won't fully charge on ...

Hi Luciu,

Welcome to the Lenovo community!

System Tray > Lenovo Energy Management > Go to Settings > Turn OFF Conservation Mode > Remove AC adapter > Reinstall AC adapter > It should charge up to 100%.

Also, please do check that under the battery menu in Lenovo energy management, IT IS SET TO 'MAXIMUM BATTERY LIFE' to enable charging to 100%, not Optimised battery health as this will allow your battery to have a longer lifespan.

When i clicked on the battery, and selected "More Power Options," then clicked "change power plan settings" and then I went to "advanced power settings." There is a tab there for Lenovo Energy Management and you have to click "Enable Lenovo Energy Management." Then it pops up.

Let us know how you get on.

Regards,
Shashi

Hello,  I just bought a new 13 inch Yoga 720 this week. When I was setting it up, the fan was so loud it sounded like a jet engine. I assumed that was because it was installing apps and such. However, 3 days later and I still have a really loud fan that is very noticeable even when I'm simply browsing the web. I love everything else about this laptop but if I can't fix this issue then I will return it and go with something else.  Can we expect a BIOS update or something within the next 10 days before my return period is up? Any other fix? I'v already tried turning my max processor execution state in power settings to 99% and that only helped a little but hasn't fixed the issue.  Also, I've checked task manager and nothing is using my CPU. I have already tried replacing the laptop once from best buy and the replacement also has the issue which makes me think it needs a BIOS update or it's a poor design. Thanks

Would you have any specific link or machine nodel number of the laptop you are planning to purchase among the Yoga 13 inch machines?

Similar to this discussion , A yoga 13 have OEM Max ram of 8GB on its singular slot.
8GB max7 / PC3-12800 1600MHz DDR3L, non-parity, one 204-pin SO-DIMM socket
Hardware manual (page 27) specification

Pen support with stylus for Yoga 13 model discussed here. It would only support capacitive pen and not an active pen as this thread. Would you rather have a 2-1 13inch laptop with active pen to be specific?

Hi,Is anyone facing issue with the wifi connection? The wifi on yoga 700 keeps disconnecting and reconnecting. When the wifi tries to reconnect, it's showing no internet access. I have other laptops connected to the same router and there are no connection issues with my other laptops, tablets, or phones. I've even tried to a different router (at a different location) and I still have the same issue. I contacted Lenovo customer service and they sent me link to download the wifi driver which I have done (uninstall existing driver and reinstall the drive that was provided by Lenovo CS) however, it would connect to the wifi and work fine for a while then the wifi disconncets and tries to reconnect over and over again (same issue). UNIT SPECS: -i5, 8th gen U-gtx 1050 GPU-8 GB RAM-1080p IPS display-256 GB of storage-90 Watt AC Adapter I know that this has another thread, but it'd marked as "solved", whereas the issue has not been solved at all.  So, the basics of the issue: CPU runs fine during normal use and when stress testing on XTU, but then immediately downclocks itself to between .4 and .8 Ghz when the NVidia 1050 is active.  During games or benchmarking (used UnEngine Valley), this results in a drop to 10-25 fps on average.  CPU power drops by about 75% and bottlenecks the GPU so that it can only perform around 30-50%.If you exit out of the app's window, the GPU will not be in use and the CPU will gradually clock itself back up to normal levels.Another user pointed out a workaround where you can disable Intel Thermal Framework to reduce the issue.  The problem is that ITF exists for a reason and disabling it increases heat, reduces battery life, and can damage your PC.  Theoretically it could also void warranty if any damage resulted from disabling the feature. No thermal throttling is occurring, which makes it odd that ITF would be strangling the processor.  Even if that were an issue, it could just lower the CPU to its base clock (not below) and temps would be fine. This probably some issue caused by acombination of Lenovo's BIOS interacting with ITF, but it could also be hardware related.   The takeaway is that you can't use the device'... Hi, so I recently got a 1TB SSD from Crucial that will be a replacement for my laptop?s current 128GB SSD (big upgrade, ik). The laptop is a Lenovo Yoga 730 13-inch and both the current and replacement SSDs are M.2 nvme?s. Now, because the Yoga 730 13? only has one slot for an SSD, I was just wondering what the best way was for me to easily and successfully transfer all of the data and the operating system from my current 128GB SSD to the new drive. I've done a little researching into cloning, and that sounds like it may be the most simple way for me to safely get all of my stuff onto the new SSD and having my laptop work just like it did before; I?m mostly unsure about how to deal with moving the laptop?s windows 10 operating system to the new drive and whether I'm risking losing any data in the current, original ssd if I do clone. I also have a 2TB external hard drive ready for use if I need a back up, though I don?t know how to even get my current os (if it?s even possible) backed up to that external drive. Any help with this would be very much appreciated. Also, if cloning is what I should do, where can I go to get a free and secure cloning program to begin the process? The more detailed the advice, the better! Thanks!

I've got a Yoga 700 11.6 inch, windows 10, 128 gb HDD and 8gb memory. Testing it and playing games I can see the computer is not performing to specs. I did a fresh re-install of Windows because I hated all the Lenovo apps added to it. Sadly I was still unable to install the Intel version of the graphics driver. but whatever, I have the Lenovo version. Still, benchmarks tell me this is performing well below the specs even for the Intel HD 515. I have everything set to 'high performance'. I've been told there's some BIOS settings I could change but frankly I haven't seen them. Is my computer being throttled, and if so how can I fix it?

Hello. This is my first post. Yesterday my new Lenovo Yoga 730 arrived after being purchased through Lenovo's website. It's beautiful, thin, sleek, powerful, ergonomic and sturdy. However, today I was playing Kerbal Space Program (at 4k resolution) on my dining room table less than 24 hours after first booting up the machine, with the power cable plugged in, with plenty of space behind the machine, when the computer suddenly died. It wouldn't turn on for about 5 minutes and it smelled like fireworks or gunpowder or sulfur, especially near the back fan. When it did turn on it died instantly again about a minute later. I went to plug it in and it turned on but it no longer turns on when on battery power. It will instantly die if the cable is unplugged. No other devices were harmed and there is no lightning nearby.Reminder that this machine is a day old. The computer is pretty much maximum specifications. i7-8565u, 16 GB DDR4-2400, GTX 1050 4 GB version, 1 TB SSD, 4k multitouch screen with an active pen. Any advice or knowledge of what went wrong would be helpful.

hello there fellow Yoga 710 users,  one of the reasons why i picked up this Yoga 710 is because of its 'above average' battery life to compare with its competitor. this is based on reviews that i read and watch on youtube.  however, after using it for a few days, i dont think i was able to hit 7 hours or more on this machine. i did not put it under extreme load as i was using it only for word processing etc.  from the battery notification, it says around 4 hours and 40 minutes at 100 percent.  any of you guys encounter the same problem? or you guys were able to hit 7 hours or more for the battery life? just want to make sure that my battery is not draining for no reason appreciate your input guys  thanks

Hey guys first off im new to the community cause I just got my first Lenovo about 10 days ago after using HP's for most of my life. So far I love it, everything about it is amazing its got the i7 processor and the Intel 5500 graphics which is plenty for anything I can bring to the table. But I have had two issues with it so far I havent been able to resolve; 1. Somehow or another after the second day I set my computer in what im assuming is "FN key lock" or something like that. F1-F12 normally would require you to hold FN in order to click, while the functions such as mute, volume up/down, brightness adjust, etc... would be free to click. But then after the second day it switched and I prefer it the way it was at first. 2. This one is a little more serious. about 1 out of every 4 times I start my computer the touch screen will begin to freak out and act as if something is touching it in like 20 different places at the same time. I can see the little touch circles appear all over the screen when my hands arent even touching the computer. Obviously when this is happening it renders the computer useless cause everything gets clicked and all I can do to stop it is force shut it down. Any help or solutions would be MUCH appreciated, thanks guys!!!

I have a ThinkPad Yoga 12.5-Inch Convertible 2 in 1 Touchscreen Ultrabook (20CD00B1US) running Windows 8.1 that came factory equipped with a 256 GB SATA SSD (Samsung 2.5" SATA III) and I need additional storage capacity (mainly for storing photos).  I initially intended to replace the original SSD with a larger SSD (specifically a Samsung 850 EVO 2.5" SATA III 1TB  SSD), but then discovered that my ThinkPad Yoga had provision for installing a M.2 drive.  Will the ThinkPad Yoga 12.5-Inch Convertible 2 in 1 Touchscreen Ultrabook (20CD00B1US) support two drives - that is, will I be able to access both the original SATA III SSD (as the boot drive) and the M.2 drive (as a data storage drive)?  If so, how will this secondary drive affect the computer's overall performance?  (I realize that power consumption will go up a bit with a second SSD, but since I use it on AC power most of the time, that's not an issue.)  (** I appologize for accidentally posting this to the Lenovo Android Tablets forum.  I'm new here and didn't realize I had entered the wrong sub-forum**) -Wes

I copied files between them at around 400Mb/s. At first it wouldn't boot to Windows 10 giving a black screen. BIOS recognized both, but no success on booting.I've had to boot using an Ultimate Boot CD to create both the msdos partition table and one NTFS partition. After that, Windows booted as normal, recognizing it. I hope this Kingspec lasts some time (there are both bad and good comments about it online).Let's also see what does the battery (I use to work with the TP plugged to AC) Regards.

Greetings, I just bought Lenovo Yoga 330. It's been great, but i have one strange problem. When I wake the laptop from sleep, the CPU clock is stuck on 1.1 GHz (Which is its base clock). It won't go to turbo clock which is supposedly 2.6 GHz. The only solution i know is to reboot the windows, and the cpu clock is normal again.I know with ssd rebooting is fast, but still you need to wait some programs to start up. I'm a teacher, there are no breaks between my classes, i really need sleep mode to quickly use my laptop between classes.I know programs such Throttlestop from techpowerup can set the CPU to static 2.6 GHz, but it's not good for battery life. I need the dynamic clock, so the clock will low if the usage is low, and the clock will throttle up if the usage is higher.I am using windows 10 64 bit which was preinstalled during purchase. All the drivers are up to date, the BIOS also is the latest. I am wondering if lenovo team is already address this problem, i really hope they will release new BIOS soon. Sorry for my english, it's not my primary language.

I JUST bought the yoga 2 11 inch and literally out the box it's slow. It came pre-installed with Window's 10. I use IE and Chrome as browsers and they constantly freeze while i'm using. I have to revert to browsing on my cell phone because it freezes so often. Same goes for when I use Excel. It's constantly freezing and I get the "(Not responding)" message at the top. It will come back alive, but it will be unresponsive or frozen for about 30 seconds each time. And yesterday I've just about had it as it was worse than ever with my browsers constantly "not responding" literally every minute! I've restarted my laptop and that didn't help.
