Q: Yoga 3 14 - replace azerty keyboard with qwerty ke...

I have a Yoga 3 14 with azerty keyboard and I want to replace that with a qwerty keyboard, a physical one not just to change Windows settings or anything like that. So my question is; do I have to do anything else besides get the qwerty keyboard and replace the current keyboard with it (yes, I'm fully capable of doing that) or do I also need to do some BIOS confiqurations or something like that?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hi,
I ordered a Dell Inspiron 13 7000 series laptop. I live in Belgium so the keyboard is AZERTY. Despite repeated requests to QWERTY keyboard, Dell refused to change it saying AZERTY is standard and cannot be customized. ANyway, so can I just pop out the keys and replace them physically? I know i can put stickers, but thats a last resort.

Hey there, I found a similar topic but unfortunately, there was not a final response that solved my problem. I own a Yoga 13 Ideapad without the backlight function, unfortunately. Recently I watched a video of a keyboard replacement and I would like to do that with mine in order to replace it with a backlight keyboard. The problem is that I am not sure if my model features the needed connections. The model number is: 219159342273 if that helps.  I found backlight keyboards described as "original" Lenovo parts for about 30?. Is that realistic or fake?Thank you for your help!!!

Hello, I think time to replace my keyboad - had a soft space bar to begin with then I spilled wine into it and several buttons don't work or work all the time without pressing. I cannot find the correct part number for the keyboard. I tried the lenovo online part finder and it either shows nothing or an incomplete list. And the voice system just leads me to call som IBM 800 number and they did not answer yesterday (maybe Pres day??). Can someone help me find the correct part number for the keyboard? Also do these keyboard replacement instructions apply to the Yoga 2 13 (just 'peal' the keyboard out rather than disassemble the whole thing)?https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-Yoga-Series-Notebooks/Remove-and-replace-Yoga-13-keyboard/ta-p/1...  Thank you.

A:Yoga 2 13 Keyboard replace

I'm in same trouble: several keys don't work. Possible solutions: fix single keys (pretty easy but long lasting?): https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Lenovo+Yoga+2+13-Inch+Keyboard+Keys+Replacement/39513I wanted to replace the whole keyboard, because about seven keys don't work. So in foresight that could last longer than changing single keys (like in the existing ifixit guide). But this really looks bad (removed mainboard etc.) : http://i65.tinypic.com/rhjpth.jpgthe black spots aren't screws, they are rivets or I don't know how this is called correctly. So one chance might be: cut them all off. But how to fix the new keyboard afterwards?Any experience? Is the single key fix from ifix it always successful? My current idea: getting a "palmrest" (frame with keyboard) of exactly the same model.

first off, install the OS. Then see if you can change it in keyboard settings. Try setting the keyboard to a French layout, instead of the default USA.

Brandnew HP Envy x360 with Belgian azerty keyboard The key 2 positions right to the spacebar, marked as <>\ does not generate those values, but generates the code for the CTRL key instead. This can not be a virus or other issue, as this is a "just out of the box" fresh system. I really suspect a "Bug" here in the testing of the azerty layout for this particular model The keyboard driver layout is the standard one provided with the OS by microsoft, called "Belgian Azerty decimal point"The operatings system is on the latest patch levelThe HP drivers are on the latest patch level I guess this must be declared as "a problem" and not an "incident" Cheers,Stefan

Can someone please tell me what is going on?

Hi. . .

I would suggest that you go into Device Manager and un-install all of the drivers related to the keyboard. Vista will re-install them upon re-boot.

START | type dev into the start search box - select Device manager uptop.

Expand the keyboard tree and un-install the drivers 1-by-1 until they are gone. Then re-boot.

Good Luck to you. . .

Although there are two languages and several keyboard layouts in Belgium you would probably have a French Belgian keyboard.

Control panel > regional and language > keyboards and languages > general > installed services > add > and select either Belgian Comma or Belgium French as matches your keyboard.

Then remove the prior inappropriate entry(ies) and OK your way out.

Hello everyone,  I bought a Yoga 920 last week and was really pleased with its performance until yesterday evening. I was clicking through a folder when the screen froze and I had to do a manual reset, which led to a series of blue error screens, more freezing, a Windows reset, and then a completely unresponsive machine (black screen, keyboard lights flashing). I called customer services this morning, who said that they would organise a refund or replacement for me. I really liked the machine when it was performing well, but I'm nervous about sticking with it after such a new machine turned out to be faulty (I'd used Apple products for the past 10 years and haven't had anything like this happen before). I'm currently writing up a PhD and lost that day's work as a result of this (not to mention all the time spent trying to resolve the issue), so I want a machine that's as reliable as possible. I'd like to know what other people recommend, based on their experience with this model - should I stick with the 920 and treat this as a freak occurence, or is this sort of thing common? Thanks!

How do you replace the keyboard on a Higrade VA250P laptop

A:Replace keyboard

I am not to sure about your particular model but laptop keyboards tend to be very similar.
At the top of the keyboard there should be a plastic bezel that needs to be removed.
Quite often there no screws holding this in place, if there are remove.
You need to get a thin piece of plastic a carefully prize the bezel off, I use a guitar pick.
Once off you should see about four screws, remove.
Now carefully lift up the keyboard and turn over, there should be a ribbon connected to the motherboard, this is held in place by two plastic clips that just slide out.
Word of caution, I have made a few assumptions here and your keyboard may be somewhat different, please be careful

Please help, I'm about to lose my mind and cannot find an answer to this one...

I currently have an old, cheap, wired Logitech keyboard and mouse that I'm using. Both of these work fine, and are detected when I check in the device manager. They were plug-and-play when I installed them, no installation disc or drivers, etc. This is probably the 4th or 5th keyboard I've owned and used on this computer. The keyboard is seriously on its last legs...two (non-vital) keys are missing, and the power cord now apparently has a short, because unless it's held in JUST the right position, the board stops getting power.

I bought a replacement keyboard, also a wired Logitech...brought it home, plugged it in, installed, but then the computer didn't recognize it and it didn't show up in the device manager. There are no device drivers available for it at the Logitech site.

I gave up and bought a second keyboard, a wired Microsoft, that came with an installation disc. Installed it...same thing. Doesn't recognize, doesn't show up in device manager.

I bought a THIRD keyboard and mouse combo, very nice wireless Logitech USB set. Installed them...still no go. Installed but not recognized, doesn't show up in device manager. I tried switching the USB chip to different ports but it didn't make any difference, and there are other USB devices running without any bugs.

I could understand if NO keyboard AT ALL would work on my system, but what would ... Read more
