I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I have owned my Yoga S1 for several years now and apart from the endless early issues the docks (and many replacements), the stupid placing of the Ctrl key (still annoys me) and a problem i had with a repair (which to be fair was handled very well in the end - customer service was great) I've been happy.Except one things - power management.This morning, I came to my Yoga and the red light was glowing on the i in thinkpad, key board locks were on: touch keys (on most of my other computers pressing space a few times wakes from sleep state), nothing, press power button nothing, press button on dock - nothing., tried restart button on the dock - still nothing.So I do what, now that I think about it, I do about 75% of the time when returning to my yoga - hold the power button for 9 seconds and force a BIOS crash reset. I have applied all the drivers religiously over the years, BIOS updates Windows in up to date (Creator edition now) fully patched. I have tried the confusing variety of Lenovo bits that seem to part duplicate and part confuse existing Windows functionality. I use Yoga 370 Model 20JH002KMZ with Thunderbolt 3 Docking Station. Connected with USB-C Cable (Original).I use external Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard (Lenovo KT-1255) and Logitech MX Master Mouser Bluetooth.All Items are brandnew.If I disconnect USB-C Dock-Cable, alle Bluetooth Devices (Keyboard and Mouse) are disconnecting and don't work.Windows 10 shows both Devices as "Connected" and the Devices themselves are "blinking" (searching Notebook).I tried this:- Windows Bluetooth Device-Manager, disabled "windows can set device to energy save"- Drivers are all up-to-date- Drivers re-install- Thunderbolt Firmware Update (up-to-date)This all brings no solution. All Devices disconnecting if I disconnect the USB-C Docking.Only solution I found is:- FN-F10 multiple turning Bluetooth off and on in Windows.- It needs often 3-4 turning off-on's until it works again. What can I do?

Hi, I have a Yoga 12 and want to buy a Yoga 460. I want to buy a docking station that works for both models, but the 12 and 460 have different connectors (pro and +). Will the 12 work with a OneLink+ docking station if a buy a "ThinkPad OneLink-to-OneLink+ Cable" (#4X90J40422)? Or is there a better solution? ...perhaps a docking station with both connectors? /Christian

I have Thinkpad Yoga 460(20EL). I bought OneLink docking station model DU9026S1 however I could not use it as the connecter is bigger (or different) from the slot in the laptop. Searched a lot but could not understand why this happened. Any help to propose the suitable docking or if there is a an adaptor?

Unfortunately, your system has OneLink+ dock connector and the dock which you have to use is ThinkPad OneLink+ Dock (40A40090SA)
And there is no such Adapter/cable to convert OneLink+dock - OneLink Dock.

We got about 5 Yoga 460s brand new with OneLink+ dock systems.  All of them have been updated with their respective updates in regards to BIOS, Firmware for Dock and Network drivers.  We are having a problem with ethernet adapter (when docked) dropping connections for about 1 second (causing Windows Explorer to say we disconnected from network drives). I can't see any "icons" drop (for network connectivity in notification center of the bottom right).  All are running Windows 10 with latest updates.  Pressing "ok" reconnects instantly but this is becoming a very annoying problem with people have to do this 6 times a day.   Lenovo machines plugged up before these docks and Yogas (T540s and T460s) in their own respective docks didn't have one issue.  Nothing on the network switch is indicating a dropped connection (managed switch put into logging mode).  We have turned off all power management of the network driver (allowed to sleep and "green" switching) to no avail.  This seems like a USB3.0 problem and we can't seem to figure it out.  Even without ANY external displays attached we get disconnects about 6 times a day (in 8 hour work day).

I just bought a ThinkPad OneLink+ Dock for my Lenovo X1 Yoga 2nd Gen laptop. I used the product guide to find it.
Unfortunately, the connector is not compatible to my 2nd gen X1.
Is there a converter og can I connect via the USB?

Please provide a link to the product guide which said the OneLink+ Dock is compatible with the X1 Yoga 2nd Gen, so we can get it fixed! As you have found it is NOT compatible, and there is no USB converter .
 
The most complete reference to compatibility of all accessories is the Options Compatibility Matrix. You can use a USB dock or a Thunderbolt dock - the Lenovo Quick Pick site also shows your options.

I am unable to use Intel AMT via the OneLink+ dock.  I can remotely access the same device through wireless but not through the ethernet connector on the dock. When viewing the network information through Intel Management and Security Status it shows as the link being down and the MAC address is different than teh one I see listed for the doc. When I look in Win10 I see the ethernet adapter listed for the dock but I also see an ethernet2 listed as Intel Ethernet Connection I219-LM with the matching MAC address for the adapter showing in Intel Management and Security Status. Trying to contact support got me now where but a run around. Am I missing something or did we pay for vPro features I cannot use when docked?

Task Manager is showing ThinkPad OneLink Dock Management (32 bit) using about a third of the cpu at the moment. I don't use a dock -- the machine doesn't have any peripherals plugged in. The machine is an X1 Yoga running the current version of Windows 20. I haven't seen this before -- does anyone have an idea of what might be going on?

I recently bought a X1 Yoga as a personal laptop to compliment my Gen 3 X1 Carbon. I istakenly thought the onelink dock would be indentical, only to find they use different ports. From what I can tell, Lenovo does not sell a converter cord. Has anyone run into this issue? Am I stuck having two docks on my desk or should I just convert to a generic USB doc (non-Lenovo)?

I have the Yoga 260 with a OneLink+ Docking Station for over an year and working well. I have 2 monitors connected. One DP and One VGA port. In the last 2 months, I keep getting this message "Docking Station AC Power Problem   AC power is detached from your docking station, or the AC power adapter type is incorrect. Connect a 90-watt AC power adapter or higher to the docking station for proper battery charging and docking station operation." If I shut down the system and leave it connected to the docking stations, it charges up the battery. Battery starts draining when Windows boots up and this message shows up.  I use a 90-watt AC power adapter that came with the docking station. For over a year had no problem with it.  I tried to use a second 60watt AC power adapter power connected directly to the Yoga 260 without the dock and it charges Ok. If I connect the Dock Connector with the second AC power adapter connect, it continues to charge the battery and even after I remove the second AC adapter, it continues to charge through the dock connector. Kind of like Jump starting the system. !!! Please suggest solutions as this is becoming a big hassle and the idea of getting a docking station is lost.

When connected to the OneLink+ dock the Yoga won't boot. It sticks at the Lenovo splash screen. Disconnected from the dock it boots fine. I've tried 2 different X1 Yoga devices. One is running Win10 1607 the other is running 1703. One has Secure Boot enabled, the other does not. Both devices are fully up to date according to Lenovo Companion app. Dock is running latest firmware (233) [the updater says the firmware is already 233]. Both Yoga devices have the same problem.Anyone managed to fix this?

I have two laptops.  A Thinkpad and a Yoga 2 Pro.  I have the thinkpad connected to my peripherals through the onelink pro dock and it works great.  I can charge, display audio on a monitor, connect to the wired network.  I bought a USB to USB cable so that I could plug in my Yoga 2 Pro also since one of the USB's on the front of the dock charges.  I get no signal indicating that there is any connection.  I've looked up in the onelink user manual and it does not list the Yoga 2 pro as a compatible device.  I'm hoping that someone out that has found a way to make it work so that I don't need a different dock.  Any ideas?

Hello there, I like Onelink+ dock very much, but there is an annoying bug. I set up my monitor to turn off in 15 minutes. However, after 15 minutes the monitor keeps blanking or blinking and never turns off. If I connect the cable directly to my laptop, everything works perfectly. I have installed most up-to-date drivers and firmware, FYI. Do you have any solution or idea regarding how to fix it? Many thanks.

I have recently purchased a X1 Yoga and OneLink + Dock.  All seemed fine at first, but a couple of weeks in, computer stopped charging with the dock and I lost my wired ethernet connection through the dock.  Got "network cable unplugged" message in network center.  I updated everything I had (drivers, firmware, etc) on both the pc and the dock.  Charging issue seems to be fixed, but still no ethernet.  I am getting a unknown USB error(set address failed) in device manager.  I can plug in the ethernet directly to the pc through a USB dongle and works great, but nothing through the dock. Any help would be greatly appreciated.   I have X1 Yoga (Type 20FQ, 20FR) Laptop (ThinkPad) Windows 10 pro

I current own an x1 carbon gen2 wqhd touchscreen device and two thinkpad onelink pro docks to facilitate quick desktop environment docking in two different locations. I'm looking at upgrading to the new x1 yoga 2nd [ or 1st ] generation wqhd touchscreen replacement solutions. Looking at one of the video reviews it seems like the docking port on them is not the appx inch wide connector a onlink pro dock has on the end of its cable. Does the x1 yoga 2nd [ and 1st ] generation device work with thinkpad onelink pro dock?

ThinkPad OneLink Pro Dock is not compatible with ThinkPad X1 Yoga 2nd gen as Onelink+ connector is missing.

Yoga 260 could not wake up from sleeping mode when it is connected to Onelink plus dock.Yoga 260 is connected to a Onelink plus dock and one external montior is connected to the dock using DP cable. Yoga 260 goese to sleeping mode when user closes its lid, but it could not wake up when user opens its lid - there is no display on both screen. However, if we disconnect the laptop from the dock right away and open the lid, there is display on the laptop screen, further, if we connect the laptop back to the dock, both screen will have display.  We have updated drivers on the laptop and changed Onelink plus dock. But the problem is still there.  Any one had the same? thanks,

Hello everyone,  I would like to connect 3 external monitors to Yoga 260. I found out that conection of 3 external displays is feasible. It is associated with turning off the native LCD, whcich is OK for me. I would like to use ThinkPad OneLink+ Dock (40A40090XX). The docking station has 2 DP and 1 VGA. The issue is I'd rather use 2 DP from docking station and one DP which is on board Yoga instead of VGA. Is such configuration possible? I would like to figure it out before I will buy the station. I've found document: https://support.lenovo.com/uu/en/documents/pd029622 , but there is nothing on using docking stations' DP and native DP in one configuration, simultaneously. Whether it is because on board DP will be disabled? The alternative is MST (eg. http://www.club-3d.com/index.php/products/reader.en/product/multi-stream-transport-mst-hub.html). Both devices are at a comparable price, and if I had confidence that the docking station will work with onboard DP simultaneously, I would choose it.  Thank you in advance, best regardsM

Since no one has replied, I would like close this discussion.  Still someone might benefit for the information, that: - I have purchased and tested ThinkPad OneLink+ Dock- it works with 3 external monitors using 2 DP from docking station and one mini-DP from Yoga itself- working configuration is as follows: 2 displays are connected to OneLink+ Dock with one active DP to DVI converter, one passive DP to DVI converter and the last one (Yogas? port) with active mini-DP to DVI converter- I didn?t try to use for example 2 or 3 passive DP to DVI converters (but I guess that 2 should do the job, but 3 will probably won?t work)- when OneLink+ Dock is attached, the HDMI port in Yoga is not working! (the information one can also find in BIOS, but no materials on-line) Best regards,Maciej

About a week ago I received my X1 Yoga (OLED; Type 20FQ, 20FR) and the OneLink+ dock (with 2 Displayports). I have 2 Dell P2715Q UHD (technically UHD but putting 4k here as a search term) monitors on my desk, with displayport and HDMI input options. Drivers on the laptop are up to date (as of 22-Jul-2016) with Windows 10. So, for those curious, these are the resolutions I can acheive. Via OneLink+ dock:1 UHD screen (via Displayport on dock; Displayport and HDMI on laptop are disabled) + laptop display (WQHD)No matter what I try, I can't get both UHD screens running at the same time, from the Displayports on the dock. This seem to be because the ports detect both screens as UHD and simply disable display to one of them. (I can 'see' the screen in the display settings, it's just I can only turn on one at a time.) Note a Displayport-to-HDMI adapter in one of the OneLink+ ports works but does not change the number of screens situation. From the laptop directly:2 UHD and internal display (WQHD) work fine - i.e. all 3 screens at native resolution.Note the Intel driver shows the UHD via Displayport as 60p and the UHD via HDMI as 29p, which works well for me. (If I set the HDMI to 30p it sets the UHD to 59p... go figure.) Internal WQHD shows as 60p. So... given the OneLink+ dock seems to disable funcionality of the inbuilt graphics chipset, I've reverted back to plugging my screens into the laptop directly (and a USB hub for 'things' and ethernet). I could not connect via Ethernet using the TPY (Win 8.1) and Onelink Dock (basic).  With all updated software, the TPY kept trying to connect to the USB3-ethernet in the Dock but could not start the hardware. I received a USB device not recognized which cycled during a session and seemed to screw up other parts of the system. Thinking it was a driver issue I uninstalled all the ASIX drivers and removed all the driver packages associated with the ASIX AX88179 and AX88178 controller   (see:  http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc730875.aspx  ). Then ran Windows update which downloaded yet another ASIX package. I downloaded both the Win 7 and Win 8 driver packages from ASIX, unzipped and looked these over.  I modified the *.inf files and deleted all the non-english segments with asian or Russian characters at the end of the file leaving only the English segment and saved these on the C: drive.  (http://www.asix.com.tw/download.php?sub=driverdetail&PItemID=131) I reloaded the OneLink drivers from Lenovo.  Ethernet not recognized.From Device Manager,  I tried to update the Ethernet controller driver to the new downloaded, modified Win 8 driver and received the message that the driver was the current driver so it would not update. Instead, I had DM browse for the Windows 7 driver, and loaded that.  Ethernet not recognized. Then I had DM browse for the modified Windows 8 driver.  Thi... Would you mind providing a little more info on what you exaclty removed in the Win 8 .inf driver file from Asix? 2. When you mention īDM loaded the modified driverī, I take it you mean the modified Asix inf driver, not the one you downloaded from Lenovo?3. I have an X1 Yoga with a OneLink+ Dock. When the system goes to sleep, it won't wake. I have to hold the power button for 10 seconds to completely power off the X1, then restart it. I never have an issue when the OneLink+ is not connected. I updated the OneLink+'s firmware and all the drivers on the X1, but the problem remains. Anyone know how to fix this issue?

I'm unable to get my X1 Yoga to detect external monitors when plugged into the OneLink+ dock. This started occuring when my computer upgraded to the creators update. I thought I found a thread of others with the same issue (linked below), but it turns out I was waiting for a fix that didn't apply to me. I'm super frustrated right now. Stuff I've tried so far.1. Updated all drivers using Lenovo Service Bridge (even optional drivers)2. Installed the Fall Creators update preview (after being told it would fix the issue)3. Completely reinstalled Windows4. A Single VGA monitor5. A Single Display Port Monitor6. 6 different cables At this point I'm convinced there's an issue with the dock. There's a firmware update available for it, but you can't install it unless it is actively connected to a monitor (go figure).  When attempting to install, I get the code 255 "Can't connect to Synaptics VMMxxxx DP hub IC" If anyone has any sugestions, I'd greatly appreciate it. It used to work perfectly, then about the time I installed the creators update it started getting flaky, now I can't get it to work at all. Previous thread I was following. Whenever the USB is connected to the OneLink+ dock, my X1 Yoga gets stuck at the "Lenovo" splash screen on red background and doesn't proceed to boot. Booting and the touch screen both work fine when I plug in either the USB or the whole dock after boot. I know other users have had this issue, but it seems upgrading the firmware fixed it for them, which didn't work for me (firmware V2.33.000). Anything else I could try?

Hi. I have an older external monitor with touch screen functionality that works over USB. Whenever the USB is connected to the OneLink+ dock, my X1 Yoga gets stuck at the "Lenovo" splash screen on red background and doesn't proceed to boot. After updating Onelink Pro Dock to firmware version 2.30.000, system boot is no longer possible with closed lid.Opening lid after starting boot doesn't help, only way out seems to be an emergency power off.Booting system with open lid works fine, even when closing lid before logon.System is Thinkpad Yoga 15 running Windows 10 Pro.Thinkpad Onelink Pro Dock driver is 1.08.36Setting Boot Time Extension in BIOS doesn't help anyProblem didn't show up before firmware update.Any suggestions?

I have an X1 Yoga with a OneLink+ Dock. When the system goes to sleep, it won't wake. I have to hold the power button for 10 seconds to completely power off the X1, then restart it. I never have an issue when the OneLink+ is not connected. I updated the OneLink+'s firmware and all the drivers on the X1, but the problem remains. Anyone know how to fix this issue?

Hi guys,kind of since using Windows 10 on our machines - Lenovo X1 Carbon (3rd gen) / X1 Yoga together with Onelink dock with 2 screens, whenever computer turn off the screens after timeout set in advanced power management (see picture bellow) and it is waked up by keyboard, when loged back to windows all windows are on the default screen, no matter on which screen it was before.It is anoying and so far we did not find any solution except you set some high value for timeout for turning screens off ... but it is not good way to have screens on all the time ...Any ideas?(all drivers updated, dock firmware is latest)

When a Windows 8 ThinkPad Yoga is connected to a ThinkPad OneLink Pro Dock (Model DU9033S1) which has a sound cable placed into its headphone jack, every few seconds the sound will alternate between the laptop speakers and the docking station. It appears that the connection to the docking station is briefly lost (sound comes from laptop speakers), and then re-established (sound goes to docking station). However, during this "disconnect/connect", all other aspects of the docking station are unaffected (video, network, USB).
 
Updating BIOS, audio drivers, dock drivers & firmware have had no impact. If sound cable is removed from dock, then behaves normally (sound goes to dock only). Happens with multiple Thinkpad Yogas and multiple docking stations.

My Onelink Plus dock behaves very strangely, I cannot use the Ethernet port reliably:I bought recently a Thinkpad Yoga 460 ? after my previous Thinkpad ? and an Onelink plus dock. After docking I have to disconnect and reconnect all cables from/to the dock to make the Ethernet work.After that it works great for a period, but sometimes it loses the connection. I have to unplug again all the cables and reconnect them to make it work. To the dock I attached the following: USB keyboard, mouse, external drive, DisplayPort cable (with DP to DVI adapter) and the Ethernet cable. I am using Windows 10 Pro 64 bit (ver. 1607) from a clean install. Every device in the Device Manager seems to be OK, even the ThinkPad OneLink Plus Dock Ethernet.I have the latest software and firmware.Lenovo Companion cannot find new updatesI have updated the BIOS to ver 1.46.I have also updated the Onelink plus dock firmware (Version: 2.33.000). Any idea? This way the dock is useless.

When it boots closed and with connected dock, the resolution is so wrong texts on screen are infact indecipherable which makes it very hard and annoying to find the correct setting. Is there a way to fix the screen resolution whenever the dock is connected? I use VGA at the moment to connect the monitor to the dock, but will soon buy a DisplayPort-to-HDMI-cable.

Hi, The icon for the OneLink Dock in the tasktray is missing v 1.10.11, Windows 10 Pro. Any way to fix this. I notice this happening when I lock the screen and returning back to the desktop.  Also, from the screen capture, even though it says "ThinkPad OneLink Dock Attached!" I do not have it attached to the laptop.?

Hi community, I've a very annoying problem with my X1 Yoga. I'm using the OneLink+ Dock at the office connected to two 27 inch displays. When setting up everything it worked pretty well. Yesterday i left my desk for a few minutes. All displays went to standby which is fine. When waking up the machine one external display stayed in standby mode. I tried everything I can think of:- disconnecting the display from power and reconnect it- disconnect the display port and reconnect it- change the display port cable (length should be no issue since it's 1m)- switching display ports at the dock between displays- removing the display in the device manger and detect it again- restart the computer- shutdown the computer, pull every power cable and put everything back together- change the OneLink+ Dock ... nothing helped. What's strange: the internal and the working external display are shown as "PnP-Monitor" and the display not working is shown as "Digital-Flatscreen (640x480 60Hz)" In the Intel HD Graphic application I can see the display but can't change anything about it. I can move it around from left to middle to right position and back. Still I can't change the resolution nor turn the display back on. Yesterday i changed the non-working display with another one of the same kind and it worked again. Today the same happend to the other display that worked all the time. The displays are working on other machines so they're not broken. I have another ... Read more

I have the exact same equipment at home and at work and yet the resolution on my second monitor at work will not go to the 3840 x 2160 that I have at home. Both locations have:1. X1 Yoga (first gen, model number 20FQ002YUS) -- It's the same laptop that I take between home and work2. ThinkPad OneLink+ Dock (model number DU9047S1)3. Two (2) Asus monitors (model number PB287Q) that go to 3840 x 2160 max resolution, connected to the OneLink+ Dock via DiplayPort cables I've been running this configuation with NO PROBLEM at home for the past 9 months.  So I recently purchased a new OneLink+ Dock and two new monitors for my work office and while one monitor will go to 3840 x 2160, the other will not go above 1920 x 1080, UNLESS, I use a mini DisplayPort cable from the second monitor directly into the X1 Yoga (bypassing the OneLink+ Dock) HERE'S WHAT'S BAFFLING: I assumed it was the dock and so I brought the one from home to work and found I had the SAME problem, suggesting it was the second monitor.   But I exchanged the second monitor for a new one and still have the same problem.  The docks are running the most current firmware. I'll send a gift card to your favorite coffee house if you can solve this mystery.  Thanks!
