Website missing a section in all browsers

Q: Website missing a section in all browsers

I cannot seem to figure out how to get the top section of http://www.alescoleads.com to display the top section. Everything under the date and tips in the blue bar shows up, everything above doesn't. I have already tried it in internet explorer(tried safe mode w/ no add ons), firefox, chrome with no luck. I uninstalled java, re-installed, I reset the internet back to factory setting, wiped out all the browsing history. Tried messing with the internet options in every combination I can. I don't know what else to try besides trying to factory reset this machine. Was curious if anyone else had any idea.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hello,

This problem just started happening after I got a new computer. When I go to my website admin section and enter the username and password it logs me in like normal and I see the admin menu, then I click on 'orders' and I can see the orders list but when I click on an order to view the order details it takes me back out to the main log in screen and I have to enter the user name and password again and then I go through the exact same process but now it will let me see the order details.

One, thing, the order details section is in the 'secure' (https) section of the website so that might have something to do with it but does anyone have any idea why it would do this? Like I said, it doesn't do that on my old PC so I'm thinking it's just a setting or something that I need to change on this PC.

Any help appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

I have had this issue for a while and was wondering if anyone knows of a way to restore these. The Cortana Live Tile and Cortana entry in the All Apps section are both missing so I cannot re-add the Live Tile back. Any help on this would be appreciated.

A:Cortana missing Live Tile and from All Apps section

Hi, try Windows key + S. Does Cortana appear and is it functional?

If not, check Location is on in the Action centre and the geolocation service is running.
Solved Re-installing Cortana - Windows 10 Forums
(See post #4)

To restore the tile and shortcut you may need to do an in-place upgrade repair install (see the Tutorial section where you can find instructions).

- do not try Powershell commands- the typical ones to repair apps haven't worked since build 10540.

I am having a problem uninstalling some updates that were automatically installed by windows because the section that contains those updates in "Installed

it's just not there.

Example of not showing the section for Microsoft Windows:

Example of showing the section for Microsoft Windows:

I am running windows 7 on a domain environment. I am trying to uninstall IE11 update to revert back to IE9 (this was previously installed). My hunch is that this is a group policy setting somewhere, but haven't found anything pertaining to this yet.

I am one of two admins for the company. This is actually happening to all the computers that I've checked, so I assume it's a systemic
problem.

I have been working on a new pc today that I needed to create an image for and noticed it isn't having the issue yet. However, a computer I recently imaged (Tuesday) is already having the problem.

I did gpupdate /force on the new pc without the issue, and it still is working fine. I'm starting to wonder if it may be a side effect of using sysprep on the machine before putting it into service. Once I'm done with this new pc image I will sysprep it
and watch for any changes.
Any help is appreciated.

Agreed, it would be useful if the Support search included a link to older model (EOL) support that it doesn't find directly.  I wouldn't call it an error, but it's not a very convenient or informative design

This isn't specific to the X200x models.  Legacy/older models are on the EOL site (if they aren't showing up in Support search):

Normally, when I open My Computer and any folder within Windows XP Explorer, there is on the left side of the folder a series of menus, including Create New Folder, Rename Folder, plus towards the bottom left a place where photos are previewed (a preview panel). I have looked in the Tools section but cannot find how to restore this left blue panel with all the shortcuts and info.

Hi, I've posted my problem in OS and Windows XP section of the site and they have requested I post here too. They said to post a HJT log and report any findings/advice from this thread back to them. This is my original post:

Hi, I recently sent my laptop away to be fixed as it wasn't turning on 90% of the time and when I got it back they said it had loads of viruses and trojans which was the problem. I use AVG which I thought would have prevented this and I don't know how they fixed it but they said it was now clean.

The laptop was used with no problems for about 6 hours altogether before I installed a new external hard drive. Well, I say new but it's actually a Seagate Desktop 500gb that i had previously imstalled but the USB connecter fell off so I had to transfer it into a new case. After installing it into the new case it appeared in My Computer and I could access all my files again but the Seagate Device Manager did not recognise it. However, I soon began getting Blue Screen Errors regularly which directed me to this page after restarting: http://wer.microsoft.com/responses/R...735f4fb6f#here

I have tried all of the steps apart from the final one and nothing has worked. I started up the laptop with nothing connected to it and just left it for a few hours and when I returned to it again I got the same message telling me a serious error had occured and to visit the above page. I really dont know what else to try to fix this problem.

I get the following error is IE:

As i said, it's the ONLY website that wont work, and was fine until a few days ago. BUT, theres a few strange happenings;

Firstly, on the second day of it not working, it managed to connect for about an hour, but when i came back to it later that evening it would not work again (i had not done anything differently, simply typed it into the url)

Secondly, I can access it from anywhere apart from my house! Both my home computer and laptop will not connect, whereas at school/work/friends it will!

I have searched for days for a remedy, nothing i have tried has worked!

Being blocked from security web sites, such as Malwarebytes, is a sure sign that you are (still) infected. If you have access to a clean computer re-establish contact with the person at the Malwarebytes forum for additional instructions. Or you can start a new thread here in the "Am I infected" section.

Hi I've just cleaned this computer of malware and viruses. I used this this guide to do so.

Google.com does not load on any browser i have installed on the pc. I have checked the hosts file, its clean. Disabled windows firewall, uninstalled Norton 360.

Then I've come here. Downloaded and ran DDS, but it does not make any log files. I've made sure the box is ticked for dds.txt and attach.txt. Ran it from a few different locations too. I guess whatever is on the computer is blocking dds from doing its job.

A:Website not viewing correctly in all browsers???

Hi. I just took an HTML class and one of the first things they teach you is that HTML code is recognized differently by different browsers. It is understandable, therefore, why you see the results you do. There are many HTML Tags that are not recognized by Netscape and perhaps AOL and they just "ignore" the instruction.

You probably will need to get hold of some documentation that clearly delineates which codes are recognized by which browsers.

Hope that helps....

For the past couple of days, if I try and access any images on imgur.com or i.imgur.com I am recieveing an error:
Error 101 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET): The connection was reset.

This happens on all browsers, and the website is definitely working normally for others.
I have reset my router numerous times, I have tried switching to openDNS, I have checked proxy settings (which I have not touched since a formatting), I had not fiddled with any of my router settings prior. I have disabled antivirus, firewalls, tried turning on DMZ, and nothing is changing.

I am able to load the website www.imgur.com, I see the layout with no images loading, and if I click a specific image, I recieve the 101 error.

Any insight or advice would be great. I'm using a 2wire 3801HGV.

I am so running out of ideas. Its driving me bonkers.

I am unable to load one specific website(atleast so far). It wont load on any browser or any computer on my network. Even if i bypass my router and directly connect to my modem, it will not load. But I know the website is online because other people I know can access it fine.

Site:
angel.gtarcade.com (its a browser game)

Troubleshooting:
bypassed router (hard wired modem to computer)
rebooted computer
rebooted modem and router
dns flush (ipconfig /flushdns)
netsh winsock reset
reset browsers to default

HOWEVER! If I load this with torbrowser the initial website itself loads just fine. It of course wont load the game because of the security settings in torbrowser (which I could bypass if I chose but what would be the point from there?)

Hi all,

Apologies if this is in the incorrect location.

In the last week or so, I have been unable to upload any images to any website (such as Facebook or Twitter). When I click 'browse' to open 'My Computer' dialog box, the browser crashes (I have tried in IE9, Firefox and Chrome).

I'm on Windows 7 Home 32-bit with all the latest Windows Updates. I have recently run a full virus scan with Microsoft Security Essentials and Ad-Aware Free and I have Javascript turned on in my browsers.

If anyone could guide me into solving this problem, it would be much appreciated.

Many thanks,
Mike.

When I'm using IE or Firfox a new window to another website or an ad would automatically appear. The rogue windows would have to finish loading first, for that website before it would allow my website or link I want to visit load. This is not a pop-up, and the new window would randomly appear whenever I visit a website that I've been before or appear when I'm doing a search or clicking on a link. I've ran my McAffee Anti-Virus and did not detect any viruses. But when I ran my Spyware Doctor it shows that I'm infected by Trojan.Vitrumonde, Trojan.Agent. After fixing and cleaning this in my spyware program, the problems still reoccur. Below is my hijack log, any additional info or data you can provide in order to resolve this issue will greatly be appreciated. Thanks in advance

IE, Opera, FF Chrome, all have problems loading the same websites while other sites load right away.

Just for an example... racerxonline.com will not load on any browser, but only on one of my windows 7 pc. My second win7 and linux pc work fine using the same router and all three computers are hard wired to the router as I don't have or use WIFI.

Here are the steps I have taken to resolve the issue with no success over the last couple of days:

1 Deleted and reinstalled all browsers with no add ons.
2 ipconfig /release..... ipconfig /renew
3 I use ccleaner all the time
4 swapped ethernet cables with the two other computers
5 swapped ethernet ports on router that other two computers work fine with
6 checked all start up programs in start up folder and all basic nothing new or odd
7 ran full scan of malwarebytes, awdcleaner, avast, windows defender on and updated
8 said on occasion %&$#@ but that didn't work either

I hope this is the right category.

Im as green as it gets regarding HTML, and how it works!

Im using Net Objects Fusion (v3) to develop a website, the program is fairly easy to use. The problem is that my font size changes depending on the text size setting in the browser. I like to have it viewed in a fixed size, but Net Objects doesnt offer a remedy.

There are some folks who have their browser text size in a different setting other than medium or original size depending on what browser they use. When they use a setting larger than medium/original size it causes the text to run into the graphics, etc.

Browsing around I found some HTML codes that demonstrates how you can Fix size the font, an example is shown below. I tried it in Net Objects, in the HTML section and it works, but its not viewable in the layout area. It only shows up after you Previewed it in the browser.

So I was wondering, is it possible that an HTML code can execute the viewing browser to reset the default text size to medium/original size?

Theoretically, I can implement this in my Start/home page, and then after passing this page they can change it to there desire setting.

This is the only solution I can think of, if at all possible.

Genesis

Heres the example code I found:

html>
<head>
<style type="text/css">
.fixedsize {font-size:14px;}
.variablesize {font-size:large;}
</style>

So it seems pretty strange that as an IT guy, I get the strangest of the strange issues with my own computer. One of the issues that I've realized is that for the most part i have problems seeing any interactive weather information from various weather sites. This includes intellicast.com and wunderground.com. I prefer to use Google Chrome (latest update), but I've tried using IE 11 as well. The only one that seems to work is wunderground on IE and that is hit or miss.

My computer is running Windows 7 x64. We currently have Symantec Endpoint Protection 12 installed, and I also have Java 7u67 and Flash 14 installed.

Has this been a known issue or what else could be causing this? Not super important, but not knowing for a long time has been bothering me. Could it be firewall related, and if so is there a way to know? Typically if our firewall blocks something there is a notification on the page that Watchguard has prevent it's access... this doesn't happen in this case.

Thanks!

A:Weather Website Interactive Maps; Browsers have issues with overlays

I find that problems of this nature are usually "Flash" or "JavaScript" related.  Possibly your AV is blocking some elements of either from certain sites?
With the exception of intellicast, I haven't had problems with any of the weather related sites that I frequent.  Among those, wunderground, weather.com, the weather broadcasts from local affiliate stations(CBS, Fox, etc).
With the interactive map on intellicast, it takes several seconds trying to "initialize the map" and then gives the messages:
Attention Required
Map unable to load
The Map loading has timed out.
Probably because I'm blocking several google elements on the page as well as beacons from other sites.
Don't believe Java is your problem in this case, I don't have it installed and that hasn't caused me any problems.
Almost forgot, I'm not using IE 11 or Google Chrome, but I am running Windows 7 x64 SP1 and (soon to be replaced)McAfee LiveSafe.

We are using Word 2003 SP2, running on on WinXP version 2002 SP2.
to briefly illustrate our problem:

Say I have four Word files, called B, C, D and E. Each file is three-to-five pages long, and each file ends with a Next page section break, created by dropping down the Insert menu and selecting Break... > Next page. Remember that - each of the four files ends with a Section Break (Next Page).

I create a fifth file, called A, which is a composite of files B through E inserted as links (because I want to be able to update files B through E and then pull those changes into file A). My new and blank file A is open, and I drop down the Insert menu, select File, and navigate to the file called B. I press the Insert button at the lower-right of the Insert File window and select Insert as Link. I repeat this process for files C, D and E so that, when I finish, file A is made up of files B through E, each inserted as link.

When I review file A and scroll from top to bottom, I notice that file D's text does not begin at the top of the page following the end of file C's text, as you would expect with a Section Break (Next Page) inserted at the end of file C, but rather the Section Break (Next Page) has somehow turned into a Section Break (Continue) during the linking process to file A, and so file D's text begins on the same page and a line or two below the end of file C's text. This is bad.

Can someone tell me how I can prevent my Section Break (Next Page) f... Read more

I am trying to resolve this for a friend: he is running WinXP on a recent Dell computer with a Dell 15" LCD monitor. I have already reinstalled the monitor driver. Here's the odd problem: since he first got the computer, some months ago, ALL web sites show a white background and other graphic elements are sometimes missing, as well. This is true whether he is using IE6 or Firefox. Everything else appears normal. The desktop is normal. Application programs appear normal. Only web pages, in BOTH browsers, are missing background colors or images! I searched Google and found one similar situation in 2002 but am unable to contact the person who described it, and the forum didn't produce any answer.

Anybody recognize this??

Hi,

I have recently had problems with my website www.bluebeachresort.net and received an email suggesting that someone had hacked it. After this people have contacted me saying they cannot access the site anymore. I sent out emails to about 20 friends asking them to check the site from where they were and out of the 20, 11 couldnt access it. There people were all in different countries aswell as Thailand (where I am located) and they were all using different browsers.

I have contacted the (Thai) guy who made the site and arranged hosting it but he seems to have difficulty understanding the problem as he says it loads up fine for him. He did change all the passwords for the site incase someone had hacked it.

As it is I have a site that is visible to some people and not to alot of others. This is obviously no good. Does anyone know what could be the problem

A:Solved: Browsers will not load microsoft website but will load FB, Google etc etc

Either it's a problem server side for them, which would be an issue with your IP,
or a process/service altered some of your core system settings on your end which blocks the microsoft website for some reason....., you can try a different IP address just to make sure it's not server side for them, and then if that doesn't work I am not sure what to tell you other than reinstalling all browsers, and eventually refromatting if reinstalling browsers does not work.

IF it is an IP issue it could be something with your network, if a network admin blocked the microsoft website, or even theoretically your ISP if there was a strange issue with them, however that would be rare.

In the 'On startup' section, select 'Open a specific page or set of pages' and click the 'Set pages' link.

I and many others are having problems viewing a certain website correctly. I suppose it's ok to give you the name...alternet.org. When opening the website most of the time the page appears as if extra empty space has been added to the center or the page is stretched so the right side of the page is way over to the right and requires scrolling to get to it. Only once in a while will it open correctly and then after going to another page and returning to the home page, it again is shown incorrectly. In addition, after reading an article and going to the comment page, the format is wrong and some features do not work as intended. Several readers have sent complaints to the website itself and to the comment provider. If anyone can help I will pass it along to all the other readers of that website. I have four scrolling photos which show the correct and incorrect pages of both the website home page and the comment section but are too large to attach here so I have created links to them.

There is a box for the header (the top of the page) and a box for the footer (bottom). To have the URL print, type &u in the appropiate box. The window title is &w. More commands are availible if you click on the ? in the upper right corner and then click in the Header/Footer area.
