Q: Lenovo Yoga 710 14 " Touchscreen not working in tablet mode

I have a Lenovo Yoga 710 14 " Signature Edition 2-in-1 PC- bought it two days ago. W10. I have problems with the touchscreen when using it as a tablet. The touchscreen is working perfectly when it's in PC mode. Once I fold it and putting it flat (down at the table etc.)- the screen is no longer responding. It's like the touchscreen function is shuting off somehow. Anyone knows how to solve this?? Thanks

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

Hi.  I have a problem with my yoga 710 in tablet mode. The on screen keyboard just pops up and goes away after a secound.  Some say its a problem with Chrome. But the problems also occurs when i try to log in to windows in tablet mode. The keyboard pops up, and goes away so i cant type my passcode. If i flip the pc out of tablet mode and opens the onscreen keybord by pushing on it on the taskbar it stays open. Someone know how to fix this?

Hello, i have an Yoga 11 rt, which has a Problem. The Touchscreen has no Function when the Device is in Tablet Mode.  Touchscreen turns off at 180 Degrees, also Keyboard and Touchpad (which is normal i guess). I also remembered there was an Lenovo App which controls that. Bud i dont have that App anymore.Ive also Reinstalled (repair via Windows update/recovery Menü). But the App does not show up. Any Ideas?

Hi, in tablet mode on the Yoga 900, the keyboard is split and I'm trying to figure out how set it so it isn't split.  There is a button in the bottom right corner of the right side of the keyboard that looks like a keypad, but nothing happens when I touch it.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I booted up my Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro today, and it keeps going tablet mode during the Windows startup sequence-(he first time I booted it up after the extended waranty expired at the beginning of the month).  The keyboard lights briefly, but then goes dark and I can only login using the soft keyboard or number pad.  At times the screen will change to portrait mode, even though the unit is clearly landscape oriented, or will invert. If I open up the Lenovo vantage software it clealry showed that the keyboard light was shut off and the touchpad disabled-I could change both settings, but the keyboard still wouldn't work and the touchpad was in landscape and the screen was in portrait, so it was kind of unusable.  I have to rely on touchscreen and soft keyboard.I did a reinstall of Windows, and it worked for about an hour before reverting to tablet mode only.I have changed Settings to eliminate Tablet mode, to no avail.I tried deleting the HID driver for selecting laptop/slate indicator, but it just reinstalled on the next start-up.Hardware sensor issue or software?

I understand your concern and will assist you to resolve this issue.
 
The touch keyboard doesn?t appear automatically, if you?re using a desktop app. Instead, you need to select keyboard in the taskbar.

While you are in tablet mode, I suggest you to press Windows key + R key, then type OSK and press enter to launch the keyboard.

Sometimes when I switch from tablet mode to laptop mode the keyboard and/or touchpad doesn't work temporarily (like 10-30 seconds). Sometimes the keyboard backlighting stays on when switching from tablet mode to laptop mode.

I have a few-months old Yoga 2 11 that was working perfectly, until a few weeks ago when I went to use it in tablet mode the display screen went all out of whack. It turns the screen, but only half of it - the top half of the screen is turned and the menu bar shows up in the middle of the screen, and the bottom half looks like the screen in regular computer mode.  I've tried restarting, tried turning tablet mode off, but every time I flex it back to use as a tablet this happens, virtually making that feature unuseable. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a solution for it?

I currently use a Lenovo ThinkPad S1 Yoga, and have recently upgraded the 64-bit OS from Windows 8.1 to 10.Since then I have been experiencing issues where ?Tablet Mode? will activate suddenly and randomly while I am using my ultrabook in laptop mode. This is especially frustrating because it often occurs while I am using the keyboard which will then be disabled, and cannot be re-enabled. I have attempted to turn on/off the various Tablet Mode settings ? ?Make Windows more touch-friendly??, ?When I sign in...?, ?When this device automatically??, ?Hide app icons??, but no pair of settings seemed to work. In the end, I am forced to reboot, which is the only solution that resolves the matter. What steps can I take to resolve this matter once and for all without having to restart the system constantly?

In my case I have a Thinkpad Yoga 14 and it took me some time to stabilize Windows 10 on it. I went updating the driver over time until it get stable.
 
I also have some settings similar to you, but mine (for example)  sometimes switches to tablet mode when I close the lid, but when I open it Windows change very fast to laptop mode, so it does not bother me.

I can suggest you to try to update your drivers, here are some of my tips to update the drivers on a Thinkpad when going to Windows 10.
 
These are some of my tips to update the drivers of your Thinkpad:
 
1) Try first Windows Update and update all the drivers and Patches
2) Try Lenovo System Update to get any new/missing drivers.
3) Try to install Lenovo Settings and Lenovo Companion from the Windows App Store, Lenovo Companion also has a "update driver search"
4) Sometimes all that software does not recognize some updated / missing driver. Check Lenovo's Support Site and search for your specific model drivers (use the full model number of your Thinkpad).
 
If you have more experience installing and uninstalling driver, there are some other things you can do, but those options os AS IS outside Lenovo's suggestion.
1) There is DriverEasy that offers a decent for free scanning of your device and shows you which drivers can be updated from their database.
2) According to your machine devices you have the Intel Driver Update Utility and the AMD Driver Update Utility, sometimes it can help... Read more

Hi, I've been experiencing an issue since the re-installation of Windows 10 on my lenovo yoga 510-14ISK. When I flip the computer to a "tablet" position, I face two problems :1) the tablet mode in windows 10 won't want to activate itself automatically2) the manual keyboard and the trackpad aren't disabled which is very very annoying I did not have those problems on my previous installation of Windows 10 (same version).I've tried to update my pilotes, as well as restarting my computer sevral times but the problem is still here... Anyone has a guess ? Have a great day.

Hello, My Lenovo Yoga 720 13's touchscreen seems to not work with finger input. However, the touchscreen still responds when connected to the compatible Bamboo Smart Pen I have for this laptop. When accessing device manager, the Device status for HID-compliant touch screen, HID-compliant pen, and Wacom Pen seem to be working correctly. Just today, the touchscreen on my Yoga Plus stopped working. I have tried everything, including reinstalling drivers, but I just get the message "driver is not intended for this platform." Recently the touchscreen on my Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro stopped working. It is running Windows 10 and the most recent update it received was KB890830. I am getting an error code 10 for the I2C HID device ("A request for the HID descriptor failed"), but when I try to update it, I get a message saying it is already up to date. Disabling and re-enabling hasn't worked and I cannot find the driver on the lenovo website to do a fresh install. Any suggestions to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.

I've had this laptop only for 3 days and for the past 2 it has stopped asking me if I want to switch to tablet mode when I pick the laptop up and begin to fold it back a bit... Another and more important issue is that the physical keyboard and touchpad DON'T disable when I use the laptop in either stand, tent or tablet modes. Please help me resolve these problems!

Lenovo Yoga 720 15'' touchscreen, Esc and Delete button is not working. I bought Yoga 700 14'' which had some problem which lenovo replaced with Yoga 720 in July 2017.  The one they provide me has warranty from 07/18/2017 to 07/19/2017 and I never was aware of that. I was in assumption that I will be having warranty for one year and I will get the warranty extended before expiration but I didn't got the chance to extend it and now things are not working. If some one can help me if these things can be resolved.

So I recently purchased a ThinkPad x1 yoga (2nd gen), and this is only the second time I'm using it. Yesterday, I was able to get it to switch to tablet mode and the screen also rotated fine. Now, I can still switch to tablet mode, but the track pad is staying active for some reason, and the screen won't rotate to portrait mode. This is really inconvenient, because I want to take notes on it!! Anyone have a solution?

I have been using my Wacom Intuos Pro on my Lenovo with no problems until the cord came out. When I plugged the cord back in, it stopped working. I have tested the tablet on other computers and it works fine. However, will not work with the Lenovo. Occassionally when it does work, it jolts across the screen and clicks uncontrollably, rather than running smoothly. I have tried:restarting the Lenovoresetting the tabletreinstalling the drivers and services accessing Wacom tablet properties (an error says, "A supported tablet was not found on the system" even though it is plugged in)using the tablet's bluetooth properties (computer will not find it in bluetooth)removing the Wintab files as suggested by others on the forum with similar connectivity issues

When I put my Yoga 260 in tablet mode, the cursor disappears. When I put it back in laptop mode, the cursor is still missing and the trackpad and trackball do not work. Lenovo what the heck? Can you please make drivers that work?

To add, I have to restart the computer to make them work again. I am almost absolutely sure it has to do with the Intel Integrated Sensor Solution drivers. They are not compatible with the Windows 10 Anniversary Update.

Hi all, I've noticed that my Yoga 910 is not auto rotatingwhen I set it to tent mode nor to tablet mode. Not only it doesn't auto rotate but it also keep the keyboard active... Not sure if this is a faulty sensor problem or just some bug. I've tried to follow the solutions presented in other topics but without success even tried a system restore but the problem is still here. I can't really identify which update has created this situtation but I know that when a couple of months ago it was still working. I also have the impression that more are affected, so could Lenovo release a patch to troubleshoot and solve such an important issue for a Yoga product (basically there is no Yoga functionality with this problem). I have been having many problems with my Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 1051. They all have arisen after a clean installation of Windows 10 (in order to solve some previous problems). I will list then one by one and, lo and behold!, they are a lot! 1) The touchscreen is not working. I completed the installation using a USB mouse and keyboard, so I did not notice until I was in the Windows environment and tried to use the screen. In Device Manager, under Human Interface Devices, HID-compliant touchscreen is nowhere to be found. It is not just uninstalled, since I can't find it even when viewing the hidden devices. However, it is not a hardware issue, as I can normally use the touchscreen in the BIOS. 2) No battery icon in taskbar. The battery icon in the taskbar has disappeared. It is not on the pop-up menu, and at Taskbar setting, at "Turn system icons on or off", the battery section is completely greyed out and I can't do anything. To make matters worse, in Device Manager, under Batteries, there is no ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery, as there should normally be. As with the touchscreen, I can't find this even after viewing hidden devices. At setting, in Troubleshoot, troubleshooting for battery issues gives me nothing. The issue with this is I don't know my battery percentage, and that the tablet just turns off while trying to troubleshoot everything, as I don't even get the message about low battery. Hi, my Touch Screen stopped responding to touch inputs from my fingers. It was working ok 4-5 days ago and when I used the device in tablet mode. However, using the Pen to control the screen input does still work as normal. I've tried the following:- Disable / Enable HID Touch screen in Device Manager- Updated Wacom Wintab Driver but driver fails to install / exits without a message- Updated BIOS to 1.29 but no change observed Can anyone suggest a solution?

I bought de computer with  Windows 10 installed on it. I just used WacomhardwareCheck and it gave the message: 'your hardware does not appear input capabilities and is not currently supported by the Wacom FEEL driver'.So, does this mean my touchscreen is broken and doesn't work? My ASUS tablet's sound, touchscreen and battery icon. It's really annoying, I've tried using windows update, IOBit Driver Update (Which worked! I was so happy, but after a reboot, it stopped working) so nothing worked in the end. It seems like my OS (Win 8.1 Pro) thinks that it's a desktop. Does anyone have an idea what to do? If you need anything like my tablet's specs just let me know how to get them and I'll post them here!

As i'm writing this everything started working again after installing intel drivers. No clue if it'll stay like this so still keeping this up! It started working after my tablet died and i plugged it in. Sounds doesn't actually seem to work though, changing the volume just freezes the little window.

A:Tablet/Laptop sound, touchscreen & battery icon not working.

Please run the Windows 8.1 Refresh. A Refresh basically will reinstall the operating system, this will not affect your personal files if you use the option to save them in the instructions.  The downside is that this will uninstall all of your third party programs you installed.  Windows 8.1 will place a list of removed apps on your desktop after refreshing your PC, I would suggest that you copy this list for a reference when you go to reinstall these programs.Press the Windows key   and the I key to open Settings.In Settings click/tap on Recovery, click/tap on Refresh your PC without affecting your files, then Get Started.You will see a page titled Refresh you PC, click/tap on Next.  On the next page click/tap on Refresh.The computer may turn off and back on during this process, you don't need to do anything.  The scan will display a percentage of its completion.

Since you have to hunt around different Lenovo sites (and other sites) to find out about these softwares, I decided to make a post to get feedback from actual Yoga owners on how these programs interact, what they do, which ones are prerequisite, and which ones are unnecessary. Please don't take this as a blanket answer. This is just what I have found. It might be right - it might be wrong. I'm looking for others to post their experiences as well. Lenovo System Interface Foundation Driver - Necessary prerequisite (missing driver in device manager without it). It allows the Lenovo Utility and Lenovo Companion to work. Lenovo Yoga Mode Control - Necessary if you want to use your yoga to seemlessly change between all the different modes (laptop, tablet, tent, stand). This software is responsible for autorotating and putting Windows into tablet mode. Lenovo Utility - Recommended(?) This one I'm not too sure on. I remember that I was missing some function that I wanted but I can't remember what it was now. Maybe battery cycle count and health? Lenovo Companion - I don't have this one installed and don't think it's necessary but would like someone else to shed some light here.

I'm running the latest version of Windows 10 (Anniversary Update - Build 14393.693) clean installed on  a Yoga 2 Pro (20266 / 80AY) BIOS 76CN43WW. The "Lenovo Yoga  Mode Control" version 2.0.0.9 (ymc.exe) has consistently crashed every day for the last few months. Crash reports are logged. Hello Everyone. Recently my X1 Tablet started having touchscreen issues and i found an article on the site describing the very same issues, including a row of phantom touches sometimes appearing and the top/bottom rows of the touchscreen not working. So i Flashed the update that was originally meant for the Yoga.  The device still seems to be found by device manager, and i can run the update again over it, however no touch/pen functionality remains.  Is there a FW Update for the X1 tablet digitizer available instead I can flash?Cheers!

Hi All, So I've had this aesthetically pleasing yoga 3 pro for about a month with the purpose for it to be used as a Uni Laptop.  However I've come across a few issues that I am hoping I can get some help with. Firstly, I've lost all ability to use the touchscreen. Windows Device Managers is seeing it, but I have no way to enable/disable or test. Is there something I am missing? Secodly, through basic use I am finding the CPU and RAM usage well in excess of 80% for a lot of the time, with the system coming to a near grinding halt if I have approximately a dozen chrome tabs open, a couple of office docs and youtube or spotify running....this is a little worrying. Specification wise the laptop should be able to run the with very little hassle. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
