Lenovo E93Z All in One Second Screen not working

Q: Lenovo E93Z All in One Second Screen not working

Hi, We are trying to connect an additional screen to an E93z All in One PC but the additional screen is not detected by the Windows or Intel Display settings. The additional screen is connected by Display Port to the HDMI on the back of the AIO. We have tested to make sure the screen works on another PC not the same model and the screen works. I have tried both HDMI ports as there is an in and out on this model. The All in One is running Windows 10 Professional. ThanksMatt

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hi guys, I have windows 10 1709 updated from W7. the product is exactly 10B8003TIX.if I go to start and click on shutdown it shuts down, the power led turns off but after few second it reboots normally exactly as if I pressed the poeer button. The difference between this and a reboot is the power led, in a proper reboot from Start button the poer led stays turned on.I performed all windows updates and all lenonovo system updates. my Bios version is FFKT28AUS and on the product page I found the FFKT46A version, I tried to flash it through cdrom and from the operating system but no changes... i could try the USB drive flashing but there are no instructions and I don't know how.I also tried to perfom a clean boot and also to restore default settings in bios but nothing changed.I am lost....could you help?RegardsFranco

Hi all, We are a school and recently have bought 34 of the above Thinkcentres for an IT suite. Unfortuantely 7 now are displaying the above issues. To recap: The screen is blank, but if you screen change mode it says on the screen it is in PC mode (so screen works)The mouse and keyboard are dead and yes they are plugged in!The green power light (bottom right hand side)  is constant green even if you reboot (5 second finger) it still is constant green when it come back, never orange and the machine does no start. Fan is operating. There is power to the machine that IS on. I have swapped out the power cables and mice, put the "faulty" mice onto another machine and they have all worked, but not when you place then on these 7 machines. If any of you techies could figure this out that would be great, it would be a shame if we had to warranty return 7 Lenovo machines due to being faulty..   Thanks all Andy

Hi,  I can't get the touchscreen working on my new E93z ThinkCentre All-in-one? I followed a link on another thread that said to check the drivers are up to date but I can't get that working either as the piece of software it asks me to install to create something called a "bridge" says there are files missing on my machine so it won't install?? My warranty is also apparently expired in 2015 despite me only receiving the machine yesterday but when I try to fill in the form it wants and invoice or purchase order for my machine but I bought it off Amazon so I don't have these?! Help!!

As you can see there are multiple problems that have come up in this notebook. I recently reinstalled windows 10 to solve some other problems. The installation went perfect and afterward everything seemed to work fine. When my wife turned it on the blue BIOS screen came on (as it did before the installation) and I was unable to use the touchpad, mouse or arrow keys to move the selection. I rebooted and it started up fine only the keyboard did not work. I had to use the onscreen keyboard to log in. Once inside, sometimes the keyboard works and sometimes it doesn't. I've tried using the f6 to toggle the touchpad on but it didn't work. The keyboard is touch and go and now the blue screen BIOS sometimes comes up when the computer is started. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I've searched for solutions and haven't been able to find anything that works to solve these problems. I've uninstalled the drivers and rebooted for a fresh re-install of the drivers but that only temporarily fixes the problem. Thank you.

Hi!  I do have trouble with a Lenovo Flex 2-14 (Model 20404).The Lenovo turns on, shows the Levono Boot screen and finishes with a black screen.  - I am able to enter the Bios (working screen)- I am able to run the internal recovery with a working screen - after recovery and a new boot up - the screens gets black again  How is that possible? I am not able to boot from a usb-stick (with working Linux or Windows installation - tested on other systems) cause I get a black screen (the USB is being recognized).  So... what are the next steps? This seems wierd, since the screen itself seems to work. I found some forum-topics saying it is a GPU-failure. Maybe thats the case?  I would appreciate any support!

I have a Lenovo G50-70 laptop that is 6 months old.  Two weeks ago I noticed that when I would turn the laptop on the screen would not immediately come on.  It took a few minutes before the display would show up even though I could hear the fan running. A few days later I took the laptop to a family members house and when I went to turn the laptop on I noticed the screen again did not immediately turn on.  I heard the fan running and the lights on the front were lit up.  I then noticed that the screen had a vague flicker to it.  I left the laptop on for five hours and the display never came on.  I finally had to hold the power button down until the laptop turned off and then took it home.  Once home I turned it on and again the fan was on, lights were on, but no display.  I left it plugged in all night and when I woke up in the morninng the screen was back on.  It has done this to me twice now and it seemed that after several hours the screen would come on. The laptop is doing this again however it had been four days and the screen is still flickering black and will not turn on.  Any ideas on what the problem is or what I can do? I do not have an external monitor I can use to test but I did hook the laptop up to my T.V. through the HDMI cable and the screen did not show up on the T.V. either. I tested the HDMI cable with a different laptop and it worked. Any help would be appreciated..

A:Lenovo G50-70 Screen Not Working

Hi Niclak,

Welcome to the Forums.

As per the query we understood that you are facing issue with the screen in your Lenovo G50-70 laptop.

Perform the power by removing the extrernal devices connected to the system, shutdown the system and removethe battery and adapter. Now press and hold the power button for 30 seconds and connect the battery and adapter and try to power on the system.

As you have mentioned that there is no display in the system when you turn on the system are you able to hear the windows login sound? Try to move the lid back n forth and check for the issue.

Hope this helps. Do post back if the issue persists.

Best regards,

Hi Guys! Please go through my complete message as it is very 'painful' experience you can ever come across when buying a laptop. The Lenovo Yoga is not available in Australia. So, I bought the Lenovo Yoga 13" orange i5 128GB from 'adorama.com' for US $999 + UPS shipping $105. Unfortunately the shippment attracted a custom of 185 AUD which I had to pay later. In total, I have already spent 1400 AUD.The UPS courier service delivered the shipment to my address an hour back i.e. today on 5th July,2013. I was very happy to receive the product but when I switched on the laptop, the screen is not working properly and is displaying a number of vertical colored lines. To confirm that it is the screen problem, I connected the laptop to my TV with a HDMI cable upon which I could see the windows display on the TV. This clearly establishes the fact that the laptop's screen is faulty. Next, when I checked the warranty number online it shows that warranty starts from three months earlier than my purchase date which clearly shows that someone registered the laptop before. Also, the charger I received with the laptop looks to be a used one with scratches and marks on it. I am afraid, the product I got from Adorama is damaged and maybe a refurbished one as the charger clearly looks to be used before. I am deeply disappointed with this incident as I was very excited to use that product and also importantly had lots of work to do with it.I contacted Adorama, and they are s... Read more

A:Lenovo Yoga 13 Screen is not working

I have exactly the same problem just a set of vertical lines on the screen. Never before have I had such a pathetic problem except maybe with laptops that are 6 years old. For further details I have the Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 13-inch Convertible Ultrabook (Orange) - (Intel Core i7 3537U 2.0GHz Processor, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD, WLAN, BT, Webcam, Integrated Graphics, Windows 8) bought from amazon.co.uk ( http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00CA10NUE ). The screen lasted 6 days before dying. Just enough time for me to waste getting it perfectly set up before it died. There was nothing to indicate prior to the screen failing that it was going to fail. Turned it off one night and turned it on the next morning and the screen was only displaying the vertical bars. I'm going to try sending the Laptop back to Lenovo. I actually managed to get through to the Lenovo support - they have quite a good system of dropping the laptop off in a local shop that is then picked up by Lenovo, they reckon to have a turn around of 10 calendar days. I can recommend trying to call the Belgium helpdesk as Lenovo can never outsource the help desk people since they need to speak French and Dutch but usually they will also speak English - start the conversation with "Parlez vous anglais?" / "Spreek je engels?" . Admittedly it will be no use if you need to return the item, but if you just need a bit of technical support it might be a good way to go.

The screen is on but only the mouse arrow is visable, can anybody assist?

A:Lenovo yoga 2 screen not working

hi Gharri

Welcome to the Forums.

When you said  "the screen is on but only the mouse arrow is visable", do you mean the Touchscreen is not working?

If the touchscreen is not working, try the following steps:
1. Open system properties to determine if the OS is detecting the touch capability.
   - Link to picture (Touchscreen not working, proceed to Step 3)
   - Link to picture (Touchscreen is detected, proceed to Step 2)

2. Press the Windows key? +R, type devmgmt.msc and press Enter. On the device manager, click view > show hidden devices and under Human Interface Devices section, uninstall the HID-compliant device touch screen (this is the driver that controls the touchscreen). When finished, reboot the system and observe.
    - Sample image

3. Turn off the machine and press the OneKey Recovery button and select System Recovery. On the menu, try to touch an item but don't proceed in doing the system recovery -- this is to check if the digitizer (the hardware part that enables touchscreen functionality) is working.

If the Touchscreen is working, boot back into Windows and backup important files then prooceed with the System Recovery.

If the Touchscreen is still not working even in the System Recovery menu then it's likely that the digitizer is faulty and you will need to contact le... Read more

I almost never shut my laptop down completely. Instead, I set my laptop up to sleep while not in use. Recently, there have been several occasions when I would attempt to wake it up and the webcam light and the lights on the front of the laptop come on, but the screen would not. In these instances, I would push the power button to put the laptop back to sleep, close the laptop, reopen it, and hit the power button to wake it up again. Most times, the screen would come back on, however, more recently I would have to repeat these steps multiple times before the screen would come back on. Now, the screen won't come on at all, no matter how many times I turn it off completely and retry. You might note that the external HDMI connection DOES still work and everything seems to work fine through an external monitor (just not my laptop screen), so I am wondering if this means that the screen has gone bad and if this means the gpu is okay. After poking around on these forums, I attempted severaI fixes, but none seem to have worked. I shined a flashlight (or "torch" for europeans..) at an angle to see if the screen is just extremely dimly lit, but I've verified that it is completely black with no activity there. I tried removing the battery, holding the power button for 20 seconds and rebooting--no dice. I even removed and reseated the RAM and checked the ribbon connection to the screen. I saw somewhere that I might need to reset the BIOS, however I can't seem to get to the BIOS usin... Read more

I was using my laptop last night and it was working perfectly fine. I went to sleep, woke up today, and now the the screen is black despite it being on. At first I thought it was th F9 key, but that wasnt it. I plugged it into my tv as a make-shift monitor and I can see everything which means it is a screen issue? I dont know if it would also be good to note that my entire desktop shows up on my tv make-shift monitor rather than it only being, say, half of the desktop (if that makes any sense).  I bought my Yoga 530 less than a year ago.It used to work fine but every now and then a wild windows update appears and I lose the touch screen function. I have to go to a previous update every time to recover it, I've found no other way to solve it.This morning another update came in and as usual, I lost the touch screen. I tried to recover it, but it failed in the process so I've been forced to do a full recovery. After that, the touch screen is still not working. I tried to disable/enable the driver. There is no driver. I tried to update the laptop and the drivers via lenovo vantage, apparently it's perfectly updated. I tried with the web and the LSB. Nothing. I tried to reboot in safe mode. More nothing. After all my struggle I tried a factory reset. And still nothing. Basically it says that the screen is incompatible with the touch mode and the stylo which obviously isn't true.I've quite literaly tried every single solution I've found in the forums and I still have no real answer. The only thing remaining is to ask for a replacement.

I spilled water on my laptop a few days ago. My screen was fine at first, but then (I assume) water got into some part of the hardware. Now the display is barely visible. I think it could be the inverter board that was affected, but I want to know how to fix it/what part(s) I need.In addition, my keyboard doesn't work. The touchscreen keyboard doesn't work either. I can tap on the keys, but nothing shows up. What is affected so that I can't even use the touchscreen keyboard? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Welcome to the Lenovo Community !

Water spilled into a laptop can cause a variety of problems as well as short  circuits.  It would be difficult to pin point exactly where your problems lie.  I suspect though that laptop isn't thoroughly dried out yet which maybe part of the problem.  I would suggest you open it up and let it continue to dry out, before proceeding further.  For your reference here is a link to your model's Hardware Maintenance Manual.......

Hi. Touch screen on my device is working from time to time. Mostly not working at all. It stops working after suspend/reboot. I can't understand what makes it work again. Sometimes you suspend/reboot again and it starts working, sometimes its not. The reason of this is I2C HID Device with status "This device cannot start. (Code 10) A request for the HID descriptor failed." which is shown in Device Manager. When it doesn't have yellow warning icon - touch is working. What I tried: Windows Troubleshooter. It reinstalls driver. Doesn't help.Remove driver in Device Manager. Doesn't help. It restores automatically.Disable/Enable device. No luck.Install latest Lenovo updates (including BIOS, V.2JCN36WW) via Lenovo Companion. No luck.Install Windows updates. No luck. BTW, Creators update installed.Suspend/Restart. Helps in very rare cases around 1 of 10.

Hello Everyone,

This is a problem I recently noticed with my Lenovo Thinkpad L530 after upgrading from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. After a couple weeks, the 1600x900 resolution (which is the native resolution of the screen) stopped working properly, as the screen garbles and displays incorrect colours and lines across the screen. As a temporary fix, I removed all of the drivers using Display Driver Uninstaller and for a brief time, the resolution was working. Trying different drivers didn't help as the problem appeared again. I ended up using the 1440x900 resolution and that worked for the most part. However, connecting the laptop to an external monitor works fine.

After another couple weeks, that lower resolution also was acting up so I decided to downgrade to 8.1 since I never saw that problem there. I did a clean install on the machine and immediately saw the problem again. I installed the 8.1 Intel HD 4000 driver from the Lenovo Support Page and the Lenovo Monitor file and this combination partly solved the problem; the 1600x900 resolution still garbles but the 1440x900 resolution appears to be working so far.

Given that I am using a different OS, I am not sure if it is strictly software related or if there is something wrong with the hardware itself. Using custom resolutions above 1440x900 also failed to resolve the problem. What is odd is that the Lenovo startup screen prior to loading the OS and the Windows UAC prompt screen aren't garbled.

I would appreciate any a... Read more

Hello, This is my first time posting, so please bear with me. A few days ago, the touch screen completely stopped working. I am also unable to rotate the screen. Navigating to the Device Manager, I see three I2C HID Device drivers, but one of them has a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in it. When I click on it, I see the error: "This device cannot start. (Code 10) A request for the HID descriptor failed." Disabling it does nothing, neither does uninstalling it - when they are reenabled or reinstalled, the error persists. There are no drivers that can be updated, and there is no way to roll back to a previous driver as I never updated these due to there being no problems. I assume this is a hardware issue, but I am not sure how to verify this or if there is anything else that can be done.  I have had quite a few problems with this machine, sending it out twice for the same problem and having the same problem occur for the third time (the power button does not work), but I am hoping this is something that is fixable.  Thanks!

I have never done this before, but I'm desperate. I have done everything I can think of, and even sat through 4 hours of windows support trying to help me. Nothing's worked.I'm trying to connect my laptop (Lenovo Z50-70 with the newest windows 10 update) To my Samsung Smart TV with screen mirror. It has worked perfectly fine in the past. This problem arose a week ago.  It does find the connection when I connect it. It says: "Desktop (name) is trying to connect" But it never goes through. The screen stays black, and then after a minute or two breaks the connection with a message on my tv, saying: Connection with laptop (name) lost. As well as a message on my laptop saying: "Your display couldn't connect"I have checked my drivers. Updated the wireless drivers and graphics card with the newest ones. I even reset my Tv to factory reset. But nothing's changed. Yesterday I went to the shop and they told me to reset my tv, but like I said, that hasn't done anything either. Please, if any of you have any idea of what's going on, your help is highly appreciated.

Intel HD 4000 setting "scale full screen" not working in old games. http://s22.postimg.org/lg4djhww1/image.png For example "Heroes of Might and Magic IV" (maximum game resolution is 1024x768 - ... system just adds black borders to fit screen - instead of scaling graphics to full screen). For me this option works only on Desktop. My Desktop is scaled in 1024x768 resolution (screen looks wider) - but when I launch game with the same resolution (1024x768), system just adds black horisontal borders ... to fit (1366 - 1024) = 342 pixels horizontally.I am trying to re-install my graphics drivers (both Intel and NVidea), but no luck.Currently my drivers is up to date. This is my DxDiag report:https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8PlsvE7ME5NLVVKd0dRaFpVTlk/view?usp=sharing

A:lenovo v580 - scale full screen - not working in o...

I have found workaround: There are several 1024x768 resolution modes, and one of them is what I need. So I write my program in C to set correct resolution after game started. My plan to write application that will listen to display settings change windows message and if system set wrong resolution (for example 1024x768 without full screen scale) - my application will fix it (will change resolution to 1024x768 with full screen scale).

I recently replaced my motherboard on my Yoga 3 14 in laptop and when I got it back the touch screen did not work. I read through other posts about similar issues with touch screens not working and updated all the drivers under device manager but I cannot find a driver for the touch screen. I updated and flashed the BIOS update that was on the support page and the touch screen worked for a few minutes but after i rebooted the computer the touch screen did not work again.  Any suggestions?

I have just reset my laptop back to factory settings due to not being able to get the touch screen to work, it didn'y succeed.  I'm curious as to what to do next as the attached screenshot is baffling me due to it saying 'not connected to the computer'. I also had to get the HID compliant touchscreen to show up by View> Show hidden Devices Any advice would be very welcome as having the touch screen not working is very frustrating.

My computer battery Got Low After Rendering A Video With Premiere ProThen My Touchscreen Stopped Working. I Checked the drivers there's No HID Touch Screen Driver But There is a Pen Driver With a Yellow Warning and error code 10 in its details. I've Tried Everything Even Factory Resetting The Only thing I haven't Done is Roll Back the Bios But I Don't Know How Or Where to get an Older Verion From. Updating the driver is useless as Well. Please Help. Its Driving Me Insane.
