Hello, I purchased a Lenovo Yoga towards the end of 2014. It?s traveled a lot with me and I love it. Currently I?ve run in to some issues which occurred earlier in its life where the hard drive had come loose not allowing it to boot up. I could probably fix it but my daughter also broke the screen. I have gone to the Lenovo warranty check page and entered the SN exactly as it says on the machin, but the search couldnt find anything.Then I stripped the "-" from the SN and tried again, still nothing. Then I tried the autmatically detect method. downloaded and installed the Lenovo Service bridge program.But that only says "#lsb failed to detect" So how can I check the warranty status if the webpage dont want to take my serial number?

I have a Lenovo ID account registered to my gmail account. For some reason a second Lenovo account was generated for my microsoft account. I am not sure if latter was generated while setting up my new Yoga laptop. If I check the Vantage app on my laptop it doesn't show my extended warranty that I have registred to my gmail Lenovo ID. I have a T560 which is non-bootable. Even Windows Update (for 1903) can fix this problem when I did Troubleshoot and Command Line. The issue is that the BIOS update file I downloaded is apparently corrupted. Can someone try out this file and tell me if I screwed up repeatedly, OR indeed this file is bad. I just got off the phone with Lenovo, having talked with about five different people. I got switched around from hardware to software, and the last person said that because my machine is out of warranty, they will not talk with me. ** Since when does BIOS support end when the warranty ends? ** If you have a phone number or email address, please tell me. To start at the beginning, Windows would not boot. So I need to use my Retrospect backup software to restore the damaged partition. Retrospect uses a Recovery USB boot drive, so as to start the data restore process. I encountered a problem with the Retrospect Recovery boot drive which is specific to the T560. (That Recovery drive works fine on my desktop.) Retrospect support wants me to update the BIOS before they will look at the problem on their end. This comes up often.  The ISOs look empty but they are not.  Rufus can't make them bootable.  There is a way using geteltorito & Linux but these days a tool to create a bootable flash drive is included in the windows executable:

Hi all,  I've purchased Thinkpad T460s on 30.03.2016 in Germany. By default, I had warranty of 36 months "On-Site", but I've upgraded it to Internationally. Currently I live in Poland, and actually used the warranty here a few times - works great.  The Issue: My warranty ends on 30.03.2019, and I would like to extend it to 5 years in total (so additional 2 years). I've called the Lenovo support in Germany (since I've purchased it in Germany), and the representative (who sounded a bit incompetent) told me that I can extend the warranty to additional 2 years but it will work ONLY in Germany and NOT Internationally. That's a huge deal breaker for me:First of all: I live currently in PolandSecondly: My work involves a lot of traveling all around the world and staying there for a week or two (sometimes more).  Therefore, I just MUST have International warranty.   It is worth  to mention that when you order a new laptop on official Lenovo-Germany  website, during the order you can upgrade the warranty to "5 years - International". That means that in theory, this should be possible.  Do anyone knows such restriction? If yes, is it possible to overcome it somehow?  Thanks,

Hi everyone, Almost a year ago I bought a HP Spectre 360 in the US. Up till now I have been very happy with it, but for pure peace of mind I am trying to extend the warranty in the UK (as I am living here now). HP is telling me that it is not possible. Has someone been in the same situation (i.e. buying in X country and extending warranty in Y country?). Is it possible, if so how did you manage to do it? As a side note, their Support Service Agreement does not state that the computer must have been bought in the country of the warranty extension. Many thanks!

Hi, Thats a difficult situation to begin with. First of. If you are going to call HP Support 1800-474-6836 and you are going to extend your computer's warranty. They will definitely ask you for a credit card number and billing address. Ofcourse if your not within US thats gotta be a problem because they use a tool to process payment which accepts US addresses only. The best thing that you could do if you really insist of getting a warranty is talk to your friends that lives within US and ask them if thy could process the warranty for you and pay them afterwards. Regards.

When I check for the warranty status of my laptop, I am told that the country is unknown, the ship date is January 01, 0001, and  start and end date are empty. See screenshot below.
I bought it used at an online auction, but think that it might still be under warranty. How can I find out if it is?

Hi, I have a Dell Dimension 4700, built one year ago. Today is the day the warranty will expire, and if I renew later rather than now, it will cost more. I have had no problems with the PC as of yet, and my one support call went well. It used to be my understanding that it's not a good idea to buy the extended warranty on... most any product really. But from some threads I've been reading in various places, I'm thinking maybe with Dell I really ought to. I don't know if what I've read has been skewed by the fact that often it's the unsatisfied that take the time to proclaim that, but what I've read of others' experiences has been scary, and sounds like often one is lucky if they even get appropriate help *with* a warranty still in place.

Strangely (I think), with this model the only type of warranty available, original or extended, is next business day at-home service (with phone support too of course). I don't need that much convenience but I have no choice. So, a one-year extension would be $109, two-year $179. (Don't think I'd be interested in the three-year for $239 at this time, even though I do intend to still have this PC then and beyond.)

Ok so of course I'd rather not pay this but it won't take food off my table or anything. So should I go for it? Thanks so much if I can get some opinions before the end of the biz day (It's about 7 AM CST here now.)

Good evening everyone,Yesterday I just bought a new laptop 13'' Hp Pavillion x360 model 13-u104nl.I am very pleased with the features and performance of this product. The only flaw that I noticed is the lack of a valid SSD drive; there is a classic obsolete mechanical WD drive 1 TB.Now, my idea would be to replace the mechanical hard drive inside with a SSD (like Samsung 850 evo) with a modest capacity of only 250 GB, but I noticed the lack of the classic inferior doors for the "user replaceable part". My model requires a bit of disassembly before I can access the hard drive and replace it.My question is, according to your opinion, mounting a new ssd, following all the instructions in the service manual, will void my warranty? There are any warranty seals that will be violated by opening the laptop?In any case, I will keep the original drive in a safe place, and I will put it back into the PC if I have to send it to repair.Any suggestion is very appreciated. I purchased an HP Envy 360 11T near the midle of September 2016.  Near the end of September 2016 it was detrmined by HP Tech Support that the laptop had to be returned because the mouse touchpad could not hold o driver or recognize the touchpad.  When viewing the status, it simply states ON HOLD.  The computer has been with HP longer than it has been with me.  Is there anyway to find a meaningful status with HP?
