Dell M6300 compatibility

Q: Dell M6300 compatibility

Hey guys,

I want to know if this wireless card will work with my laptop (Dell Precision M6300)
Dell Wireless 1505 Draft 802.11n/g/b MX846 Broadcom.

Preferred Solution: Dell M6300 compatibility

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

A: Dell M6300 compatibility

there are only TWO types of slots in laptops:

PCMCIA or Express

determine which you have then get the appropriate card.

I have trouble as described in the topic,
I have two most old laptop models, Dell Precision M6300 & Dell Latitude D630.
When laptops is docked to replicator potr dock stations D/APR (PR01X) or D/DOCK (PD01X) - bigger one model with DVD port,

headphone jack port not working under Windows 10 Pro x64 installed on both laptops.

On M6300 previously was installed Windows 7 Ultimate and on D630 was Windows 8.1.
On Dell  M6300 on Win 7 Ult. headphone jack port worked properly.
On Dell D630 on Win 8.1 I'm not sure due I do not used this on it (more years ago when it was on Win XP headphone jack port worked properly)
So when Ms start delivering updates do Win 10, I did it on doth laptops, everything on both models working fine, but only this headphone jack port in D/APR (PR01X) or D/DOCK (PD01X) wouldn't like to work when I'm dockind Dell M6300 (D630 I docked only
for test if on this one jack port will work or not) but not working too like on M6300.
So loks like drivers whih was made oryginally for Win Vista x64 ale which was workable for Windows 7 64b wouldn't like to work on Windows 10.
Maybe You have some tips what to do with this to press them to work?

I just swapped out a e5-2603 CPU and installed a e5-1620 CPU in a Precision T5600.  The PC will not boot, and prior to a forced entering to bios setup, it gives a warning/error
"Your dell current power supply does not support the recent configuration changes made .."
My PSU is a 635W - this should be sufficient, yes??
So is the 1620 not compatible with this model?
thanks for any help, david

Still using my M6300's for all kinds of applications. Samsung Pro ssd and win 7 make it a viable performer for its current use. I Splashed coffee at top of keyboard on my favorite M6300. Just enough that it looks like I have to replace the motherboard. Found one on newegg that states its new for $104.00. Seems reasonable to get it back in use. Is JM679 the only one used for M6300's? Will I have to transfer my m1600 graphics over to the new board?

I own a Dell Inspiron 7558 se 15.6 inch 2 in 1 convertible and despite what this image from your website says the dell active pen does not work with this or any inspirons. Nor does the active stylus 750-AAGN that I just received in the mail. I want drivers and an explaination at the very least. I have now spent over 65 dollars on two of your products that say they are compatible one place on your website and are not compatible here in the real world where I'm trying to use them. Get your shirt together and reconcile this immediately.

A:dell active pen compatibility with dell inspiron 15 7558

I was considering migrating from the Inspiron 2-in-1 13" laptop to the 15.6" one, but I will wait until the answer for your question. I'm beginning to think that not every Dell 2-in-1 laptop has a digitizer capable of being operated my an active stylus pen. There're some complains about the Special Edition of the 13" 2-in-1 series. Also, sometimes the same incompatibility within a given model. Maybe Dell removes the digitizer without altering the laptop product number. Talking about a possibility.
Currently, I'm waiting for the 750-AALP Active pen to deliver. Dell said that it will work with a 7348 laptop, that has its 750-AAGN prematurely failed.

I own a Dell Latitude E6430.   I am looking for a Dell Companion 12000mAh or 18000mAh type of device to power and charge my Dell Lattitude E6430 when I am traveling (no outlet available).   When I view the compatibility list for both the Dell Companion 12000mAh and the 18000mAh I don't see the Dell Latitude E6430 in either list.  I went and purchased the 12000mAh and I am attempting to use this to charge and power my Dell Latitude E6430.  It powers my Dell Laptop for about a minute and then quits.   Is there a solution for this problem?   And/or is there another Dell Companion type device that I can purchase that is listed as 100% compatible with the Dell Latitude E6430?   I would like to either get this solution working or purchase the product that is listed as 100% compatible.

Hi Gurus,
I ordered extra RAM for Dell Dimension C521 online using the specs:
DDR2-SDRAM, PC2-5300, 667 MHz, Non-ECC, Unbuffered DIMM, 240 pin, 128Mx64, CL5

The parts I got are 2x1Gb of Kingston KTH-XW4300/1G which meets the specs according to the supplier.
However, the labelling only mentions HP/Compaq equivalence. This made me uneasy, so I checked Kingston.com and they match the Dell to part KTD-DM8400B/1G (which has the same specs as far as I can see).
Before I break the seals on the HP part, I'd like to know whether it's the same or there is really some difference that will prevent it from working. Any help would be appreciated.

(The original Dell installed RAM is 2x512Mb marked PC2-5300U-555-12-D0 HYS64T64000HU-3SB)

A:Dell RAM compatibility

Here is the systems the RAM you purchased are supposedly compatible with.

I've run into this before with HP/Compaq machines, but don't ask me what the difference is because I don't know, but it wouldn't work correctly in other machines.

I would purchase the memory that Kingston or Crucial says is compatible with your Dimension C521.

GeForce 7800 Compatibility with Dell Dimension 8300? (Updated)

Okay I hope I don't go asking a question that has been asked too much already, I already see there is a lot of PSU questions and rather valid answers. In fact I was just looking at this: http://www.techspot.com/vb/all/windows/t-54162-AGP-Slot-help.html

In the course of that thread, it was eventually suggested to go for this PSU: http://store.pcpowerzone.com/pcpocouldepo.html

This is exactly where I am at. I just got a GeForce 7800, however it demands a 400 watt power supply.

I have a Dell Dimension 8300 and atm it has a significantly lower power supply.

According to the above PSU, it will work on a 8300, however I've been left very cautious after research and thinking of the possibility of being wrong and frying the entire system.

Also my father who has been helping on this research is concerned of one thing: the M/B connector

The one that is currently in the 8300 looks like a standard ATX connector, save that it has pin #18 missing. There is another connector that has 4 pins (in rows of 2).

He wants to know if the PSU that I gave in the link will actually have this same setup with the connector, or, if its different, will it still be completely compatable with the 8300's motherboard? The site says so, but we don't want to risk mistakes.

If you can include a diagram on the pin-out of the PSU please do so. And if you can agree that this PSU would be great for a Dell ... Read more

A:HP And Dell Printer Compatibility Lists

I just looked at the HP page for the LaserJet 4100. I installed the 4100 using Windows 8 but that included a PS driver only. The HP page suggests their Universal Printer Driver (UPD) would supply PCL 6 support. But when I go to the UPD download page, Windows 8 is not offered as a supported operating system version.

So it's either try the Windows 7 UPD or wait until HP updates either the driver, or the documentation, for Windows 8.

Has anyone tried the UPD driver for Windows 7 on Windows 8?

I sincerely apologize to anyone who sees this and the issues mentioned have been solved previously.

Background: I was running MS Vista Home Basic on a Dell Dimension 4500S desktop for the past couple of years. Recently (about 1 month ago) it contracted a virus that completely corrupted a boot file and caused failure to load the operating system, and it wasn't able to go into safe mode. Long story short, I was forced to do an OS reinstall without the driver disc for the console, which I no longer have. My problem is 2-pronged:

1. I was able to locate the driver which I believe previously ran my graphics adapter on dell.com. However, instead of staying installed, Vista continues to reinstall the VGA adapter each and every time the system is restarted. I have no idea why this is and want to maintain a higher resolution but it won't allow this. It uses a taskbar wizard...?

2. I can't get Vista to tell me what my network adapter/ethernet controller is in Device Manager (it's "unknown"), and thus can't get the right driver. I tried opening up the console and looking at the NIC card? attached to the ethernet port and saw that it was clearly labeled as a NETGEAR FA311 Rev. 2B; thus, I went to Netgear's site and found a driver that should enable FA311-FA312 cards, but this driver did not work. However, I know for a fact that there is a driver out there that should remedy my internet problem, because like I said, I was up and running for at least 2 years with this... Read more

Hi Friends,

I am new to this site. Looking for a solution for a problem I am trying to solve for last two days.

I bought a Dell Vostro 3445 laptop a week back which had linux installed. My wife wanted to use this for her office work and needed Windows 7 to be installed. I installed windows 7 Ultimate on that laptop and it is now not accepting some of the drivers.

I am not able to use wi-fi as the wifi driver is not available on the dell driver site. I call the Dell tech support. The agent tried all sorts of things but still no use. He said that Dell has not released the drivers for this laptop yet. (Released in May 2014 it seems)

Below are the list of drivers showing a yellow bang -

PCI Encryption / Decription Controller
SM Bus controller
Universal Serial bus controller.

I was able to install the Realtech driver for the LAN so I can go online with the internet cable.

Please let me know what information you require got find any solutions for me.

I bought 2 of these 4gb ram modules and installed them in my laptop. When I turn my laptop on it trys to start but shows some lines on the screen and sometime like an old tv running analogue signal and showing snow. It then turns off on its own after about half to one minute.

When I go to the bios I can see that the system has recognized 8gb of ram but it says speed 1066mh.
I don't know what the issue is so if anybody knows or has a suggestion to fix this please reply to this post.

A:Dell Inspiron N5010 Ram compatibility issue

RAM speed is CPU-dependent - if you have an i5 or lower CPU, 1066 MHz is the fastest you'll get even with faster memory installed.
Try the modules one at a time in each socket - you may have a bad module or a bad memory socket.

I called Dell technical support and asked them if the new video card i purchased would work in my new system. they told me my power supply was like 250 watts or 300 watts or something. To be honest i couldnt understand them very well. i said that on the geforce box it sais i need 400 watt minimum req. the dell representative said i should be fine installing it. and that the 250 isnt watts its 250 something else. i am probably mistaken. will i be able to use my new GeForce 8800 GT 512mb graphics card? Oh yea btw my computer does have PCI-Express enabled in it. Please can anyone help me?

So, I have a 1209s dell projector that I use in my classroom. I have my old Compaq laptop hooked up to it. It runs XP. It's great, but the only problem is that Quicktime is the only media player that will show up on the projector screen when I play videos on the computer. Any other player (WMP, VLC & others) just shows up all black on the projector screen. The videos work fine on the computer, but it's like they won't translate through the projector. I can not stand quicktime mainly b/c the video plays so much better on other media players.

Does anyone have a player that might be projected through my projector that is better than Quicktime?

Hello everyone, i would like to ask you if a Dell Optiplex 380 Small Form Factor can be upgraded with this dedicated gpu Radeon HD6850.
My doubt is about that spec

Do you think i'll have less problem with Radeon HD5450?
I really prefer the first GPU.
Thank you in advance for your attention.

Hi chaps3031,

Welcome to TSG !

I suggest you to download the drivers of your video card here .
Before installing the new drivers, desactivate the video card with your devices and restart the computer, uninstall the old drivers and restart your computer.

I have a Dell Inspiron 660S. Its almost 5 years old now and does not support the latest games. I was thinking of upgrading the RAM and GPU. My current configuration:
RAM: 6 GB DDR3 SDRAM 1600 MHz - 1X4GB/1X2GB
Processer: 3rd Gen Intel Core i5-3330S
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 620 1 GB DDR3
I am considering upgrading the RAM to 8 GB and the GPU. Can anyone help me verify if the replacements I have in mind would be compatible with my system.
RAM replacement: www.amazon.in/.../ref=ox_sc_act_title_3
GPU replacement option 1: https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B01AY78NFW/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A2ZDTQHEW9KVXR
GPU replacement option 2: https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B06XZ4Q86N/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=AWCJCH0B5MMBT
It would be of great help is some could check and let me know if the above would be compatible with my system. Thanks.

Can we assume you're running 64-bit Windows? And which version of Windows is it?
If you run identical RAM modules in the 2 slots, the RAM will run in "dual-channel" mode and be somewhat faster.
Don't know about the RAM you're considering, but many people around here order RAM from crucial.com for Dell PCs. If Crucial recommends the RAM for a specific PC model, they guarantee it works or they take it back.

Bought an XPS 8900 from Best Buy May 2016. Used as stock config since then as a home CAD machine.
I think it came stock with a GeoForce 730, maybe ?
Had it hooked up to a single Dell monitor via the DVI cable.
I took an NVidia Quadro 2000 2GB video card from an older XPS 8700 that I had installed it in and had been running fine, plug and play, and removed the GeoForce 730 from my new XPS 8900 and installed the Quadro 2000 in the new 8900, expecting no problems.
The Quadro has DVI out and two (2) Displayport out. I tried the DVI, no luck. The tried the Displayport, still no luck. Monitor is asleep, does not respond.
I know this card is a little older, but I am not sure why it would not be supported on the 8900, when I just plug and played it on the 8700, no problem?????
is the NVidia Quadro 2000 not supported for some reason? why?
Is there any way I can make this work ont he XPS 8900?

I have two Dell uz2715h monitors. For some reason the second on that is running DVI to VGA (and I tried DVI to display port) is not working. The display port to display port works great. So we have to put in a Dell 2415 monitor in the place, which that adapter recognizes. Looks like an incompatibility with the Lenovo X1 Onelink Pro dock. THe latest FW and drivers are installed. Thanks!Gary
