In this first screenshot of Lenovo Vantage running under Windows 10 (64) on my X1 Yoga (1st generation), please notice where it says that I need to install Sierra Wireless EM7455 Software - 10 (64), version 7.47.4743.0105.  However, in the second screenshot, please notice where the Installation History shows that Sierra Wireless EM7455 Software - 10 (64), version 7.47.4743.0105 was successfully installed already. Everytime I boot up and run Lenovo Vantage to check for updates, it tells me that I need Sierra Wireless EM7455 Software - 10 (64), version 7.47.4743.0105 so I let it install it. Everytime I install it, the installation appears to be successful and my computer reboots, but then after rebooting, Lenovo Vantage again tells me that (1) I need it, (2) I already have it. This is crazy.  In the third screenshot (looking at Windows Device Manager) I see the Sierra Wireless EM7455 Qualcomm Snapdragon X7 LTE-A. The fourth screenshot shows that it is disabled.  I will enable this and then retry to install the updated. I'll report back in a second posting on this thread whehter it works.  (I would leave this posting open and finish it later, but I'm afraid it woud all be lost when I reboot).   

A:ENDLESS LOOP: Lenovo Vantage Tells Me To Update a Driver That Vantage Says Is Already Up to Date.

After enabling the driver in Windows Device Manager, then again trying to update, the update was successful. After another reboot, Lenovo Vantage no longer show that this needs to be updated.  I'm no programmer, but it seems to me that the Lenovo Vantage update program ought to be able to see whether a driver is disabled and to tell the user to enable it in order to allow successful of updating of the driver. I did a hardware scan with the Lenovo System Health and Diagnostic utility yesterday and apparently I found some errors.

I was already unable to use the AMD Graphic Card (I don't know the reason) and I always get the error "please turn on your wireless adapter/bluetooth server error".

I posted it on the Lenovo Forums and couldn't get any help.

Maybe someone from here can help me.

Hi Have you any errors in the Device Manager .. I think F7 should turn the Bluetooth on .. I would not go to much by what the Lenovo Solution Center says ... It is not the best of software ... As for the AMD Graphics has it any errors ...

Hello,I'm having an issue with my Lenovo and updating it's drivers. My Lenovo Solutions center app on the computer is tellimg me my Hardware Scan failed and it's giving me an error code. The error code is WVC007002-UL7A8I. Can someone point me in the right direction  on how to fix this issue and get my computuer up to date with all of the recent changes. I also have problems with ghost/phantom touches on my screen. It makes it extremely difficult to use. I use my computer for a home based crafting business and it interferes with my programs. Can anyone offer a solution as to how to make it stop? Thank you!

Hi folks, I have 6 Lenovo systems consisting of T410 and T420 series. I just freshly reimaged these systems with Windows 10 Enterprise 64bit; Ran windows update overnight; then installed Lenovo Solution Center (LSC). Upon running LSC with Hardware Scan or Snapshot of the system, it gets into "Loading" state forever (I've been leaving it for over 12 hours).  There are no USB/disc inserted into any of these machines. Anyone got any insight as to how I can get LSC scans these hardware? Cheers

To summarized the test result :
SMART Status Test Passed  ,Targeted Read Test Failed ,SMART Drive Self Test Passed for the harddrive  and WVC007000-HL0B0M for the Video test.
 
SMART test are integrity check intented for users to be alerted before harddrive crash so there would be time to perform back up and create recovery image (immediate thing I suggest you do). 
 
Update your video card driver from the support site or directly from manufacturer (intel) similar to this article for the Video card error. Review this article if you have similar symptoms and apply if needed . 
 
Run individual storage , PCIE , video and systemboard test from the support site to verify findings. Use other diagnostic tools for comparative test similar to this and this.
 
You may also review this article for possible repairs options if needed and if within warranty to call in technical support for recommendation or decode of the error message.

I have a ThinkCentre M93p Tiny.  It has thrown surprising Linux kernel "oops"es a couple of times in the last month.  So I decided that I should run hardware diagnostics. I booted into Windows 10 and ran the Lenovo Solution Center.  I chose hardware scan.  I asked for a memory diagnostic.  And went to bed -- a good memory diagnostic takes hours to run and should be completely boring. When I came back, I found the machine had suspended.  When I woke it, the memory diagnostic had made almost no progress.  When I repeat, it seems as if Windows wants to suspend the machine after about 15 minutes or half an hour of no user input. What's the appropriate way to stop Windows suspending the machine while I'm running diagnostics?

The device is a 16GB Solid State Drive (SSD) that is used by the Lenovo box to speed performance by caching frequently-used areas from the main hard disk. The error indicates a fault with the SSD (I have had the same problem on 2 different SSDs after using them for about a year each). I'm not sure why the SSDs seem to keep doing this - perhaps the write cycle count of certain blocks is reached too quickly in this environment, or maybe the ExpressCache software used for this function is not completely bug-free. You can continue to use the SSD as it seems from my experience that it continues to work, but not quite as efficiently as the faulty block(s) would mean the data there would be fetched from the Hard Disk after all. It would be good to hear more on this from Lenovo so that we can figure out the best course of action.

Hi, I just updated the Lenovo Solution Center installed on my Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro.I then performed a hardware scan and got the following result :no issue (green light and the following message : WMB008000-DK7X5L ) and at the same time a PCI / PCI-e Test showed as invalid (white cross on a red background). So what do I have to do ? I have a new 2017 11015ISK Lenovo ideapad, sorry to say, that after hardly any use and just over a year has started to give me a major headaches!First it loss battery power.  Eventually I found help through Lenovo system update applications installedon it and was able to update the bios and firmware.  Worked fine for a month now losing battery power again! So I started a lenovo idea notebook health & support hardware scan to see what else I could find to help.It's been almost 24 hrs and it seems stalled on the last 35% of the scan. I tried to cancel it but it says the scan is still in progress...What gives???Truthfully I'm sorry I bought this piece of junk since I've had other brands of laptops over the years that have never had any problems at all!!  So why is Lenovo exhibiting all kinds of so called repair nonsense and error support such as I've mentioned, BUT with no real help or solutions available to it's consumers??And yes, I've read the other forums pertaining to the issue, checked and rechecked my laptop and kept it (I thought) in top running condition.  Did all the required updates, etc; and remember it's barely a year old!!So far it's trying to test my anger control since it's a new computer that I've not abused it nor over used it in anyway.Any suggestions before I pitch it out the window?Thank you

Hey all ... here is a screenshot of the current state of affairs: Note: this is the Win 10 Pro 64-bit OS, Version 1803 ... Windows Update is ' ... up to date'. I have tried various Lenovo Vantage Critical / Recommended / Optional update selections (in their respective groups and / or alone) and re-booted every time following failed system updates ... I cannot seem to break whatever log jam is occurring here. I thought perhaps trying the IME 11.6 Firmware - 10 [64] - V.11.8.55.3510 update alone, or, the ThinkPad BIOS Update - 10 [64] - V.2.26.1.18 update alone (they are both 'Reboot Required' updates) might get me past this issue, however, so far, no joy.  There is a 'Fully charged (100%)' battery installed in the system. Thanks for any insights offered, FFF P.S.  I would also be interested to find a Lenovo drivers list of older Synaptics Pointing Device (ThinkPad UltraNav / Touchpad) drivers for my P70 machine ... does such a historical driver resource exist?  The reason being, the more recent touchpad drivers are unsuitable for me ... too sensitive / 'sticky' (adjustment of various touchpad settings doesn't cure the usability issues) ... I much preferred the behaviours of the earlier drivers but can now only Roll Back to Driver Version: 19.3.4.202 (16-Jan-18) ... I'd much rather use the July 2017 driver version, whatever the version number was (possibly 19.3.4.112).

I read other posts and none specifically addressed this for the 920 and the use of what is actually a good Lenovo config tool seems to be poorly documented.   I would think it would be the same for any Yoga model with Windows 10 and Lenovo Vantage installed.   I can't seem to find a version for Vantage, so hopefully this works on all versions.    1) Find and open Lenovo Vantage on your machine (use Cortana if needed).   This is the Responsive view and yours may look different...don't worry, options are the same.  Click on Hardware settings  2)  Click on Input (again, responsive view...whatever view you have should have this button labeled the same)  3)  This will open the Hardware Setting - Input UI.   Under 'Function Keys' click on the one that is labeled 'F1-F12' (should look like below, highlighted in blue) to make that the the Function the default setting for those keys...to further clarify: it will now be a Function Key (F1-F12) by default.    With this change, you will press the FN+ one of the function key for the Hot Key option (e.g. FN+F1=mute/unmute, FN+F2=volume down, etc.)     4)  Your change is already saved, so you can now X-out (click X in the upper right) of the pop-up windows created by that were created

I had a hardware issue with my new Yoga 920 and have the motherboard was replaced the Lenovo Vantage app displays as an IDEAPAD.  Been round and round with support to no avail.    I am 100% certain - but with no way o prooving - that before the motherboard was changed the Lenovo Vantage app displayed as a YOGA920. Can another send me screen shots of their home page on the Lenovo Vantage app so I can show support I am not making this up?

I dont have a Yoga 920 but I believe you.  I think what happened to you happened to my nephew.  When they replaced motherboard on my nephews Yoga 720 they were supposed to update model number and serial number on the motherboard but they forgot to.  They did not.    Now Vantage wont work on my  nephews laptop since Vantage doesnt know which model number it is to lookup for software update.  If you go into BIOS is the serial number model number missing there too?  
Now the only way support says the laptop can be fixed is to ship laptop to repair center for repair centers mistake.
 
Below is my post from months ago in regards to my nephews Yoga 720.  I still have no resolution since he was at school at he needed it for studies and didnt have time to ship into Lenovo.

On the bottom of the Vantage screen it should show your device make, Serial number , Product number and BIOS version.  On my nephews 720 that information is missing since its missing from the motherboard.

hey guys, a few days ago i made an update for windows 10. since then i had many different issues: first i realised that my finger-print- reader has stoped working, the FN-keys (despite volume and screen-brightness) stopped working and the trackpoint-middle key too. While i was able to revive the finger print reader and partly the trackpoint middle key, i couldnīt made the FN keys working. So i tried to get into the Vantage app to see if the update had changed some settings, but now whenever i try to open the app it alwas makes an problem screen, wanting form me to download the SystemInterfaceFoundation.exe . But after many retrys it still wount solfe the problem. I evan tried it with Lenovo Settings App, but there is the same problem.If some one can help me with this problem i would be verry happy Leon King P.s. i have an ThinkPad L380 Yoga with an I7-8550U, 16GB Ram running Windows 10 Education Version 1803

I have T430 which was originally designed with thinkvantage application instead of lenovo vantage (either the deployment version or the UWP/windows store version). Will the thinkvantage button continue to work with windows 10 to open lenovo vantage? Is the T430 even compatible with lenovo vantage or must I use the old application? Thanks in advance.

Yesterday I tried to launch Lenovo Vantage, as I do periodically, to check if there is anything I should install (although I have it set to auto update). The Vantage in my Add/Remove list is dated September, 2018. I have Win10 Pro Build 1803. (I have not received 1809 yet.) When I try to launch Vantage, I get a message to download the latest version. After I do that and try to run the installation, I get a message stating that "Vantage has Encountered a Problem" and goes on to state that the user can either try again or restart and try again. I have made numerous attempts with the same result. Lenovo tech support says I should buy a software warranty and then it will try to fix the problem. (I bought the extended warranty when I bought the X1 Carbon. It runs until 2020. I am an experienced user, former software developer, and have done professional tech support. I will withhold comment on Lenovo expecting me to buy a new warranty to solve a problem like this. Have you encountered this problem? Do you have a suggested solution?

Have you tried the below?  Sorry if you did this already.
 
Uninstall Lenovo Vantage and Lenovo System Interface Foundation. After reboot install Lenovo Vantage from Microsoft store again, but not Lenovo System Interface Foundation. After opening Lenovo Vantage, there will be a link to latest Lenovo System Interface Foundation , download(should be version 1.1.16.0 or current version) and install it. 
 
Also to uninstall Lenovo System Interface Foundation see below

Finally I have managed to find a section to ask advise on an ongoing and annoying issue I have with your Ideapad 510.Which brings me onto the problem with Lenovo Vantage.Everytime I try to use it i get an error that "Vanatge has encountered a problem" asking me to either restart or install update. I have done both with no joy. I have even uninstalled then re-installed.This issue really is driving me mad so can someone please advise ??

I've bought extended warranty for my pc Lenovo Ideapad 310.  If I click on Lenovo Vantage app it shows old warranty period expired. But If I go on pcsupport.lenovo.com site they say my warranty is updated with new period.  Why this mistake?
