Preferred Solution: Saving Audio when saving url site

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

HELP!! Simple problem, but I don't know where to look anymore. The person who uses the site works from a laptop that she connect to the LAN when she needs to work. She connects to the site, pulls information from the DB for editing and when she wants to save it, it says it did, but it just throws it away.

It works on ALL the other computers we test. She is working with the administrator passwod now and I'm stumped! Could it be the mobile unit on the network or the version of IE? She uses 5.0.

Guys, if you have ANY hints please help!

A:Trouble saving from site!

Welcome to TSG!

If she is saving something like the HTML code the file will be so buried by default I don't think she'll ever find it!
Make sure she is saving it where she can find it and let us know (if possible) what she is saving.

How to force IE 11 to ask for saving credentials again for just one web site, after having accidentally sellect not to remember password for that particular site. Please, take into account that:

- I'm totally aware that storing credentials is not a good security practice, but in my particular case this is what I need to do.

- I know that reseting IE or similar approachs will do the job, but doing that I'll lost more tan 70 web sites credentials. I need a solution not involving loose all the web credentials stored.
- I also know that there is way to do the trick "lying" to IE using a modified but similar username, but this only works in some web sites, depending on the kind of login mechanism used. In my particulare case this trick also does not work.
- I also know that there was a registry hack for this particular problem, but this does not work with IE last versions.

Any help would be very apreciated.

Hi guys,

I am maintaining a web site where the clients have difficulties in saving changes. For example, they go to a screen where they make all the changes such as tick a few checkboxes and/or a few radio buttons. They then click on the 'Save Changes' button. Instead of being directed to another page, the user stays on the same page and all their changes are reverted back to their original values before the Save Changes button has been clicked. This issue occurs intermittently. It happens for some users and not for others. Sometimes, a user has this issue, and at other times, the same user does not have any issue.

DNS issue? Network issue? Corrupt executable? Web Server issue? Source Code issue?

Appreciate your help on this matter!

A:Intermitten Saving Changes issue on a web site

Web server or code issue. You'll need to have a look at the POST action in web page code. And check the web server logs to see if you are receiving the POST requests. Work or fail, if the POST request was received by the web server, it will be in the logs.

Hey all,

I know how to save Mpgs and the such easy enough without a download button. Right click the vid, properties, copy the link, paste, whammo. But this one is weird.

That's the site. If you click on New York Giants at the top, it takes you to the video section. I'm trying to download some football videos, and there's no option to download, and the properties data only gets me stuff like this:

There's no file extension. How can I download a file like this to my pc???

A:Saving embedded video at this site..

I had a quick look at the site, but it was taking too long to load so I didn't get to watch any videos. It looks like they are streaming javascript videos. You can't save them the usual way, you need to download a stream recorder.

I have a Mac Pro. I am trying to figure out how to create a back up solution, for a large digital movie collection; all of which is stored in iTunes. I'm currently using time machine to an external hard drive. I also have an online back up with CrashPlan. I'm looking to add an off site back up solution. I have a growing 5TB movie collection. So I was thinking of using a 16tb drive mirrored for 8 useable TB. I do not always have a computer at the off site location so I would like the back up to happen a different way. I was told a WD my cloud would do it but I'm not sure how. I was also told an external hard drive plugged into an airport time capsule would also work, but again I don't know how to make it happen. I'm open to better ideas or just info on how to pull off the ways I was already told. Thanks

I am extremely new to computers and my son and I now have one. I believe he has made changes to his computer to hide his actions from me (hes 10 and knows more about computers than I),

*because his Internet Explorer history only saves sites sporadically it seems,
*and downloads are also not saving, and neither are cookies.

I'm sure other things are not saving as well.

*I have tried to reset his IE settings to default, and it did nothing.

I have noticed that the few cookies that are in his Temporary Internet files are all searches for Windows how-tos' involving Indexing his computer, Deleting Browsing History, and System Restore. I'm not sure if him messing with these settings could have caused his computer to not save anything, or what.

*Should I try to restore Internet History files first, and then try a System Restore? Or should I just do/or do not do a System Restore at all and try something else?

I'm really worried about what he might be hiding from me and would like to resolve this so I can monitor his computer use. Also, if there would be another part of the website I could post this that might be more helpful, Please let me know. Thanks

A:IE 9 history not saving, downloads not saving, nor cookies.

He might be using the 'In Private' mode - this does not save any cookies, history, or anything at all. Downloads are still saved, though, but he can delete those just like any other file, of course.

A:Saving in word but files are not saving

It may be saved in a different place that you think.

Best option is to save the file attachment to some location, such as your desktop. Then open your wordprocessor and then open the saved file. You can work on it and then save it (use the "save as" option) to your My Documents (the usual location - or wherever you save documents). Then when you reply to the e-mail, "attach" the saved file to the e-mail.

I'm having trouble saving a file I need for an experiment for school. When I click the link to the sound file, it loads a new page with the file and plays but there is no way for me to save it I emailed the TA about it but received a rude reply so I was hoping somebody here could help me. So I have 2 questions:

(1) If I bought QuickTime Pro 7 and used the "save as source" function, would this solve the problem? Does this allow me to save the file directly on my computer?

(2) Is there another way to solve this problem without buying QuickTime Pro 7?

I'd appreciate any help you could give me. I really need this file.

Edit: I should also add that viewing the source doesn't work and saving the webpage as .html and searching for the wave file results in a corupted file.

Hi, everybody. Happy New Year.
I just now finished updating my system specs using the tool from this forum.
I bought this Dell XPS 15 in November and really like it.
I eventually discovered that my sound system had a switching problem.
Along with the Nvidia High Def Dell also put in the Creative software in Entertainment mode.
Trouble was that when I inserted the head phone jack the pc would not shut off the laptop's speakers.
Dell fixed this for me online and it works well.

However, I need to use the Dell disc to restore the laptop to it's original specs. My own fault for not making an image in the beginning.
I'm hoping somebody can walk me through the steps to save the audio drivers and software so that I can re-install them after I finish reverting to the original state. I'll need instructions on how to install them too.
I am not technically inclined. Still a novice but can usually follow good directions.
Thanks for any help.

A:Need help saving audio software while I do revert to original specs

You don't need discs, unless the Dell recovery partition, accessed by F8 at POST (Power On Self Test) has been corrupted. The Dell Recovery partition will restore the PC to the original factory condition and no discs are needed.

If you need to manually reinstall, you can download any Dell drivers needed at www.support.dell.com Enter your service tag number and should list only drivers applicable to your PC as it was delivered. I think this site will allow you to download any applications that were included with the PC when ordered. Welcome to Dell Support

I have the game Nox by Westwood Studios, and I must say, it is the best action/rpg i have ever seen...

One problem though... My brother saved over my *up to Chapter 7* game and so I kinda lost interest...

Wonder though... Whenever I create a new game and I get to a point where it automatically saves, it saves over any previous AUTOSAVE game I had... Anyone know a fix to this? I am seriously thinking about writing Westwood and asking them to release a patch that will change the entire save system... Each game has *it's own* AUTOSAVE folder... Like \AUTOSAVE1, etc

Any ideas?

A:Saving with Nox...

I don't know if this can be done, as this is how the software was developed. Most games use the save over the original settings policy, as when you have a great energy level, you want to save it there and then. Rooting around for your saved game isn't what a lot of people want.
Mind you, a few games that I used to play enabled the use of the 'choose the Save file', but it just depends on the developer.

However, there are some patches available:

A:Saving to DVD?

XP cannot copy files to DVD only to CD with it's own CD writing engine.
To copy files to a DVD you must (first have a DVD-RW drive) use 3rd party software - like Nero for example.
DVD-RW drives come with software included - or, if it came with your PC, it should either be installed or there should be a CD with the software included.

A removable drive is any Drive that is removable, such as USB memory, or a digital camera.

I use Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit and I have a good system that can handle DWM/Aero. I never run GPU-intensive programs, watching HD videos is all I do.
Should I enable desktop composition (Aero)?
I'm not using any visual effects except for "Show window contents while dragging" and I definitely don't want them.
When I start the Themes service and apply the Aero theme, RAM usage increases 90 MB.
When I use the PC without DWM, CPU usage increases while moving windows.

More RAM usage means less programs cached (bloated programs open slower),
More CPU usage means slower processes while moving windows (slower zipping/unzipping, less profitable bitcoin mining).

Which one makes a signicifant difference on performance? 90 MB RAM or %10 CPU?

A:Saving RAM or CPU?

I think that is a very complex question for which there is no one answer. It would depend on CPU and GPU performance characteristics, resource availability, and the applications you run. I also expect that the difference would be very small on a computer such as yours. Both the 90 MB RAM usage (less than 1.5% of the total RAM) and the 10% CPU usage occur only under very specific conditions and may be quite different under typical operating situations.

I wouldn't even try to answer your question.

My computer with the burner is being fixed right now. I have my girlfriend's computer hooked up. Is there any way inexpensively to download music on her computer and save it to transfer to mine without taking a very long time???

A:Saving MP3's

The only way really is if your girlfriend has a burner too. The files are probably too big for floppies right? If she has a zip drive you could store them on a zip disk but you'd then have to hook up her zip drive to your computer to transfer the files into it. Or if you could place the 2 pc's side by side then you could transfer the files with a direct cable connection. Microsoft has an article in their knowledge base as to how to set that up. But you'll have to buy a cable for that.

My teacher gave me access to a site where I can legally download free software b/c I am an IT student. The website contains software such as Microsoft Word, Excell, etc. I want to save these programs to a USB for later use.

A friend said make sure I download the ISO, blah blah blah. I asked him to reiterate, but I still didn't understand him.

For example, let's say I want Microsoft Word 2013 on my USB. Do I download Winzip and copy and paste the shortcut to my USB. When I go to download Word 2013 from the website, it saves the setup wizard to my desktop. Do I click and drag the "setup wizard" to the Winzip folder on my USB and leave it as it is. What about the registration key??

I'm so confused on how this process works. Please help! Thanks.

A:Saving to a USB

As we have no way of knowing if that's a legitimate site or not, submit the address to it so we can look at it.

If a teacher gave a student access to a site where software can be legally obtained and used, I would think instructions for installing and activating that software would be included.

Hi machine4head, and welcome to TSG.

I don't believe that Windows XP has built-in support for burning files to a DVD. You would need third party software to burn picture files to a DVD recordable disc.

Have you confirmed that your optical drive can burn DVD discs? Some older units can read and burn CDs but can only read DVDs.

I am having trouble saving files on CD-RW's. And I have done this on a few different computers, with different software and still have the same problem so it must be me! I use a lot of big files at home, work and school. It is great to be able to just put them on a CD and then use them wherever I am at. But whenever I put any files on a CDRW it makes everything read only so I have to change them all once I get to the new location. The help says I should be able to go into Windows Explorer and drag files and delete files, etc. I have gotten it to work a few times, but more often then not, it doesn't work. It either makes them all read only or says that it is not a formatted CD (and it has been formatted). I have just tried it 3 times just copyng and pasting back and forth from C: drive to CDRW and it keeps making everything read only and will not let me delete anything or save/append any files because the CD is read only. Any ideas?

Although you can do this, it's not preferred because the file allocation table isn't written to the CDR useing packet writing until the disk is finallized, which means a power outtage or other interruption could cause the whole cd to become unreadable. Therefore, it's best to write the whole CD at one time than to just use it like a floppy drive.
