Customized non Win7 Banner

Q: Customized non Win7 Banner

Hey all, Im looking for a quick photoshop for anyone thats got the know how and an extra 5min.

Im looking to just slap together something for another forums of mine. A banner for an evony guild. I need it to say 'Evony' and 'Rivel II'

Here is the Evony I want to use.

Except get rid of the brown background.
Here is the approximate size and coloration of the website's regular garbage banner that I snipped and am looking to replace.

So creative freedom. Anything you want really. Just have it say 'Evony' somewhere on it as well as 'Rivel II' and try and keep the background blackish. Thanks for any who try! +rep if I can

Preferred Solution: Customized non Win7 Banner

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I use a free website for my home page.
It is a picture covered in links.
I designed it years ago to exactly fit the toshiba laptop 17 inch screen.
A few days ago it decided to be too big.
I did update avg anti virus, but I dont download any other software in case it messes things up.
As it is a free website I cannot post a link. The use of the site too much is a problem.
Thanks for your help.

A:win7/64 has customized itself!

Perhaps the browser frame or site was updated, and thus the reformatting? Or perhaps your resolution, or theming was changed as the borders could have such effect.

Got a Toshiba laptop and no idea how to customized icons. My aim is to have icons only and wherein I can also replace the icon.

For instance, "COMPUTER" icon.
I can only see the computer icon on my wallpaper area and no word "Computer" on it.
Also, if it is possible for the computer icon to be replaced with a different icon such as my face..

I am sorry but I am new to win7... have been using XP for many years..

A:How to Customized or Personalized the icons in win7?

This is limited but if you right click on the desktop and choose personalize (Bottom Selection)
Then on the left side near the top select change Desktop Icons
Then change Icons you can choose from the built in icons or choose browse and use a .ico file.

As far as no name on a icon just right click on it and choose rename from the list and delete the name. The icon will still show with nothing under it and you can always change it again by the same process.

Certain icons you can not do that with. You will know they won't have a rename option.

Other things like folders you can right click, choose properties and then customize.
Then select change Icon.

Program shortcuts, right click on the shortcut and towards the bottom in the middle will be change icon.

Programs themselves that doesn't work, only with shortcuts.

Good Luck and Hope this helps.

Can someone help with this: I setup a screensaver slideshow of personal photos on a new laptop w/ Win7 Home Premium x64. It works, but this was the first time I noticed several differences between old XP Pro slideshow/screensaver vs. Win7.
Where is the control for the banner that scrolls across the bottom of the slideshow???? I did not ask for a banner, but I got one: white fonts on dark image background displaying Date & Time. Any clues?

Then, the photo images do not scale to fullscreen as was the case in Windows XP. Anyone know how to enable that function? The slideshow works, leafing through the images, but they are displaying apparently at a fixed resolution that looks good, but only takes up about 70% of the screen area.

thanks for your help!

A:Win7 x64 Screensaver Banner/scroll - where settings?

Did you setup the screensaver under the Personalized settings? Open Screen Saver Settings by clicking the Start button, and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type screen saver, and then click Change screen saver.

Then, under Photos just select Settings.

Or, are you using a different screensaver program?

When I start Outlook, my Inbox currently displays my messages by Date (Descending) and the Reading Pane is On.

I would prefer the messages appear with the new ones at the bottom and the reading pane off. I can make the changes but they don't last. No matter what I do to change the settings, once I navigate to a different folder and go back to my inbox, they're sorted again by Date (descending) and the reading pane is on again.

This happened to me once before but I don't know how I fixed it.

Hello Frank
You can use Sticky Note, It's a build in tool in windows 7.
The problem of Sticky Note is, it has not any option to stay it on top
Then you can download a Third Party App from HERE (or HERE as Direct Link) called "Windows on TOP"
After you install it, simply drag&drop the hand into Sticky Note (or any other app you want to stay on top) and that's all.

A:Customized Library

Hello Mariner,

How are you going about removing them?

Is there anything that you are doing (ex: restarting the computer) when they come back?

You should be able to just right click on a library folder and click on Delete to remove them. As long as you do not restore them, they should remain deleted.

Now that I have two (old, but very good) desktops, I can play around a little and take some chances I wouldn't take before.

I've always wanted to make a customized OS disk. I don't want to add anything except SP1&2, drivers and updates, but there are a lot of things I would like to leave out. I would also like to set up the disk for unattended installation.

With the Windows Vista Home Premium OS, I have a list of programs I would like to omit from the installation. Where can I find explicit and detailed information on which programs are safe to omit and which are not because they might be interdependent with other programs?

I have a new Windows 8 laptop coming tomorrow and I'm in disarray... I'm sure I'll play around with it tomorrow and confirm what I've read, that I won't like it, but my search has been to find out how to set it up as to be workable the way I want, or am used to. I've checked out all I can about all the Start Menu program add-ons and nobody has confirmed that I can customize the menu like I want. I'm used to having folders in my start menu organized to link to all the related programs. Like Graphics, that cascades out or expands to all of (or shortcuts to) my related graphics programs etc. I was even wondering if this could be arranged with the MetroUI or whatever it's called. I'm also a photographer, so I like one of MY photos as desktop wallpaper and I've always loved having my gadgets with weather forecast, WiFi Guages etc displayed with very few links on my desktop. I love the system tray with shortcuts to what's running and notifications. Which direction should I be heading here, toward Classic Shell or Windows 8 desktop only?
Thanks for any helpful advice.

This seems like a very helpful forum. I've learned a lot already by reading other problems and their solutions.

My problem is that I recently upgraded to Windows 2000 from Win95. In doing so, the MSOFFICE toolbar that I often rely on no longer works correctly.

I can open MSOFFICE and, from the toolbar, open the few applications listed on it (and some application folders get added there when I install new programs). However, when I right-click into the Customize menu, go to the Buttons tab, and click Add File then I get a Dr. Watson "Program Error" message saying:

"MSOFFICE has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program."

As a result there is no way for me to customize the toolbar with my programs.

I have run antivirus programs (no viruses) and rebooted many times, but cannot get MSOFFICE to run properly. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Let me preface this email with a reassurance that I've been in regedit many times, and I know how to get around without messing up my computer. I read recently in a computer magazine that it's very easy to tweak the IE title bar to read whatever you want. I followed the instructions to the letter, and it didn't work. It would be a nice touch to have something a little more personal. Instructions state as follows: Click start, go to "run", type regedit, then go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\INTERNET EXPLORER and click on the Main key. If you see a string on the right named Window Title, double click it, type the name of your choice into the Value Data field, and click OK. If you don't see the string, (which I didn't) right click the Main key, select New, click String Value, and name the new string Window Title. Be sure to put a space between the words or this won't work. Double click the new entry and type your new text into the Value Data field. Do any of you see a mistake in these instructions? Because I tried it and it didn't work. I even restarted my computer. There are no skinning applications or themes (such as StyleXP) that I have assigned to change anything in IE.

So here's my question:

A:How to I create a customized Windows 7 ISO?

Depending on what you are trying to do,

You could use dism to e.g. add language packs. If you remove anything with dism - it doesn't seem to get any smaller , so imagex export after the fact should do it.

Otherwise, do an installation., set it up how you like, sysprep it and capture with imagex.

Can I do that with Word 2003 or do I need an added app or other download? Please see the attachment for a better idea of what I mean from a company we deal with. I have a bunch of weird things happening on my computer. When I ran hyjack this, I see searchassistang and customizedsearch which I know are spyware. There are also (missing file)'s which I believe means there is a problem that has to be fixed.

In addition to this (and I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask about it or not - if not please direct me to which forum I should post this in), I have a file on my desktop that has been there for months that I cannot get rid of. It originally was an episode of Party of Five that I downloaded, something got stopped in the middle of downloading that particular episode and the file didn't work. I tried deleting it and it will not delete. I tried renaming it, I can rename it, but I still can't delete it or move it off my desktop. When I try to delete/move it the typical window will open saying it is deleting it, but it will just freeze at calculating time and eventually lock up.

Another problem I am having, again, not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I have a cd with adobe photoshop on it. I have loaded this onto several computers over the years with no problem. I recently upgraded to a newer version, but realized I liked the old one better and removed the new version and tried to install the old one. Here's the scenario in general terms: I have a PDF file that has a bunch of graphic elements in it---photos, polygons, etc and I want to attach attributes to these graphics so that when a user places their mouse on top of the photo or polygon, a description of the graphic appears. Any suggestions of how to do this? Is there a tool for doing this in Adobe PhotoShop? The file does not have to be in PDF format, so am willing to work with non-Adobe tools. Help! Any suggestions on how to approach this are welcome.

My windows xp prof. crashed . I installed the system hard drive into an external enclosure and couldnt find my customized bookmarks file. The only file I found is the default one located at \Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\defaults\profile\bookmarks.html, which is obviously useless.

Can I still recover my own bookmarks.html? How to do this ? Thanks.

A:where is the customized, not the default, bookmarks.html?

\Documents and Settings\*USERNAME*\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ak8zyh4h.default\

Under Profiles the folder may be named differently, but that should allow you to find it. I think copying those files over to the same place on the new hard drive would do the trick. (Just the files named "bookmark"?) There's one that's a .bak, one's .html, and another is .html.sbsd.

Hope that helps.

The new folders i created myself like for example, my games, well all I did is right click on the folder itself and click Properties. After that, I click on the "Customize Tab", I chose "Change Icon" and I browse for my new icon that I want to add instead of the old one.

Now, my question is, do you have an idea on how to customized the Icons on these Folders ?

Thanks in advance,

Yannik A

Are you willing to use 3rd party software? If so, you might take a look at this list of apps that can customize the system icons for you:
