Q: X220 Tablet - Windows 10 Pro Clean Install - Supported Tablet Not Found on the System

Just got this, and did a clean install of Windows 10 Pro. Installed all drivers, nothing funky in Device Manager, but the touchscreen and the pen are not working. Click on Pen Tablet Properties in Control panel and it tells me Supported Tablet Not Found on the System. This is my first time dealing with one of these, and am lost. I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

A:My x220 tablet arrives this Tuesday! What apps to install and what else to do?

0_o Huh? Like in general as a Windows user, Thinkpad user, or as a Windows tablet user?My favorite general advice for the laptop is this: use the Lenovo Power Manager to set the processor as low as possible and activate all other power-saving features except lowering screen brightness. Then, go and get some kind of browser add-on that disables Flash. Firefox does it using the "Toolbar Buttons" add-on, and it even allows you to activate a single Flash element at a time--meaning you can watch the YouTube video without having to see the Flash ad beside it.Those steps transformed my battery life experience. As a Windows tablet? I don't know.... On my Acer W500 (a disappointing machine), the only thing that doesn't really work is Chrome--it insists on me using the scrollbar to scroll, whereas IE and Firefox accept one-finger scrolling just fine, same as any tablet or smart phone. In my case, I really enlarged the DPI settings a lot--150%--to make the right-click menus easier to poke at. Being a bigger screen, the X220 won't suffer from that problem as much, but if you're using the multitouch version, it might be worth experimenting with different DPI settings in the control panel.

I have a Slide i701 which came with Windows 8.1 and I used the Media Creation Tool ISO to upgrade it to Windows 10 Home Single Language x86. Yesterday, I downloaded the 1511 Build for the same. I'd like to clean install the build using the ISO and by clean install I mean, I will be cleaning the whole disk with clean all (diskpart) to start fresh. The tablet uses GPT, and I have a USB with the ISO booted with Rufus using the GPT scheme for UEFI.
1. Can I directly clean install by booting the USB like on a PC and then clean the disk with clean all command or do I have to do some additional steps, for eg:- I read somewhere that I have to convert the disk to GPT after using clean all.
2. How to activate after clean install.

Please leave your suggestions, esp. if you have done the same as above on a UEFI Tablet. Thanks

A:Clean install on Windows 10 Tablet - UEFI

The easiest way to do it is not mess with diskpart at all. Boot from the USB flash drive - select the custom install option - delete every partition on the "disk" - select the unallocated space to install to and click next to let Windows set up the "disk" the way it wants to.

It will activate based upon both the Windows 8 product key it finds in the UEFI firmware and the digital entitlement stored on Microsoft activation servers from the initial upgrade.

Before you do the clean install, I would highly recommend you export all the third party drivers using the dism /online /export-driver command.

A:Windows 10 support for X220 Tablet

Hello,

It may work fine with Windows 10, however, I don't believe its generation of CPU, IGP and chipset are supported by Intel for Windows 10, which means that Lenovo can't support them, either.  For what it is worth, I installed Windows 10 on a ThinkPad X61t and didn't notice any issues, and that has been out of support for a much longer time than your X220t.

That said, it could be that Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 drivers for the various bits of silicon inside your X220 tablet may work just fine under Windows 10, in which case you would be up and running.

The best suggestion I have is to make a thorough backup of your X220 and then try applying the Windows 10 Upgrade.  If it doesn't work, you will be able to wipe the drive and then reload your backup.

I bought de computer with  Windows 10 installed on it. I just used WacomhardwareCheck and it gave the message: 'your hardware does not appear input capabilities and is not currently supported by the Wacom FEEL driver'.So, does this mean my touchscreen is broken and doesn't work? Is there a hardware problem? How can I see if the touchscreen is registered by Windows?it would be great if someone could help me to get this thing working... Run the Win7 Upgrade advisor which will tip you to drivers that may be needed or apps which might be incompatible: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...e-advisor.aspx

Go to the maker's Support Downloads webpage for your tablet model. Either download the latest drivers to stick or CD, or bookmark the page.

The Win7 installer is driver-complete with newer arriving quickly via optional Windows Updates so check there first. Turn this on as well: Automatically get recommended drivers and updates for your hardware

Then if there are any missing drivers in Device Manager, import them from the Support Downloads webpage you backed up.

Hi, I just received my X220 Tablet, it has the UltraNav touchpad AND the touchscreen.  The mouse was not working correctly, lots of pauses when highlighting or copy/pasting.  Also, screens wouldn't finish loading on some websites without moving mouse.  Called TechSupport, she signed onto my computer and downloaded new (updated) driver.  Worked perfectly!  Until... I turned on the machine the next day (actually I woke it up but it happened with start as well).  Completely frozen mouse, like the entire thing didn't exist.  Weird: only on my own profile, not my husband's and not the Admin that I later created.  Managed to get into Control Panel > Mouse and found the UltraNav tab with all info grayed out, like there was no driver at all!  Went to drivers, found 2: the original and the new.  Should one have been removed?  Is it OK to have 2?  Reinstalled the newer driver and everything OK til I shut it down again, then back to square 1.  It's like the computer has decided there is no driver at all when I shut it off, even when I only sleep. Called back TS a few times, finally someone told me to delete my whole profile and create it again (after moving it to a hard drive so it would save all my docs and settings...which it did not save EVERYTHING, not my bookmarks, not all my programs, not all my files...fortunately, I also backed up everything to same hard drive the more traditional w... I have upgraded my X201 Tablet to Windows 10 32bit. As far as I can tell, everything is working, including the WACOM drivers and touchscreen.  Wireless has worked perfectly so far, not sure about Bluetooth as I don't use it. My only issue is that the buttons on the display do not work. The power button located on the display does work. I tried installing the Tablet Button Driver II and it will go through the install but the buttons do not work.  This is the download link:http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds027627 The document claims Windows 10 compatability and was Last Updated :08 Jun 2015. On inspection, all the files extracted are dated from 2012 and when trying to manually run the software Windows throws up an error that the software is not supported on this PC.   I removed and reinstalled and noted that the driver information page when running the installer does NOT have Windows 10 listed as a supported system. My assumption is that the driver that they have linked on the download page is NOT the most current driver and is infact the driver for Windows 7 from 2012. Does anyone know how to contact Lenovo to get the correct driver posted to the page, or know of an alternate source to try and find it?

Hello, The fan in my lenovo X220 tablet stops working after awhile from turning the device on (after around 10 minutes). Hello All! Hoping someone can help with a strange issue. Very recently my x220 started intermittently "losing" the battery. Here are the characteristics of the issue: - Sometimes the machine will boot, and I will see the battery status detected, charge percentage, etc. After a few minutes, however, the x220t status will simply change to "battery not detected." When this happens, I can unplug the laptop from AC power and it will run perfectly off the battery, albeit with no indication of charge level.- Other times I'll get the "no battery detected" issue right away upon booting. Again, the laptop will still run on battery power when unplugged.- Most of the time when I try to boot on battery power, I'll get a "critical low battery" warning and the machine will not boot at all. However, if I plug in AC power, it will boot, and if the battery has a charge, it will again run on battery power (while still saying "battery not detected").- On occasion, allowing the battery to drain completely and then rebooting on AC power will cause the computer to detect the battery again, although most of the time it will "lose" the battery again. I am currently running the most recent version of Kubuntu as the only OS, however I recently had Win10 on there as well, and windows did not detect the battery at all, despite attempts to uninstall and reinstall drivers, update firmware, etc.  It is an original Lenovo battery, although I recently did purchase an aftermarket batte... Hi, Yesterday I bought a used X220 Tablet - the version with Gorilla Glass - and installed Windows 10 Pro (64 bit) on it.What a great little computer this is! But what disappointed me was the lack of precision of the pen that came with the tablet. Unfortunately I could not find a setting - or program - to calibrate the pen. On this forum I learned that a lot of owners have to deal with a pen that is not accurate. On one of the posts I read it was mentioned that the digitizer in the X220 Tablet is made by Wacom, so I went their website for a recent drivers. Luckily, I soon found an appropriate tool, the Wacom Hardware Check, on ftp://ftp.wacom-europe.com/pub/WINDOWS/WacomHardwareCheck.exe . After downloading and running it, I was told:"You have hardware that is compatible with the Wacom FEEL driver. You can download the latest driver here: http://www.wacom.com/feeldriver " The URL led to a file on http://cdn.wacom.com/u/drivers/TabletPC/ISD_DualTouch_732-12.exeThe file is about 24 Mb in size. After downloading and installing it, I was able to calibrate the screen, with 25(!) calibration points. Accuracy is great now; not only in landscape, but also in portrait mode! Since I found no reference on this forum to the Wacom FEEL driver in combination with the X220 Tablet running on Windows 10, I thought it might be interesting to others in this forum. Cheers!

There are only 2 parts involved - the fan and the motherboard.  If the fan bearing gets hot and seizes, it would spin at start-up to avoid the fan error message.  Fans are cheaper than motherboards, so if it were mine, I would try a new fan.

Hello, Has anyone tried installation of a sierra wireless MC7750 card on a X220 tablet? I've gotten hold of a MC7750 and intend to install it on my X220 tablet and try it with Verizon 4G network. Thanks,Anand

A:Thinkpad X220 Tablet - Installation of sierra wire...

I have not tried it, but I can tell you that most likely it will not work in the default configuration.  Lenovo machines have a whitelist that checks to see if the WWAN card inserted into the machine is regonized and certified.  If the machine doesn't recognize the card it will display an 1804 error.  Since Lenovo doesn't yet sell these cards yet, it's unlikely that this card is on their whitelist. Some people modify their BIOSes to recognize cards that Lenovo hasn't put on their list yet.  I believe you can find such moded BIOSes here: http://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-Removed-whitelist-removal-Lenovo-ThinkPad-x220-v1-21 or alternatively maybe in the forums in http://www.mydigitallife.info/ There may be newer versions of the BIOS in the same forum, but I haven't checked in a while. I've been waiting for months for Lenovo to support the MC7750, or another LTE card like it.  I've been told by several sales people that "it's right around the corner".  Pretty much hogwash so far.  I haven't gone the step of ordering one of these card yet hoping that Lenovo will officially support it soon.  Please post back though if you do end up moding your bios.  I'm curious to know how well it works.  Also read up on taping pin 20.  Some people say it's necessary in addition to moding the bios. Good luck.

Hi everyone, I have a Lenovo X220 Tablet that has touch screen and pen. They suddenly stopped working today. The LCD screen still works pefectly fine, however. The touch screen is enabled on the touch settings. When I try to calibrate, it does not detect my finger or the pen. I also noticed that when I tried to reinstall the driver and it said "a supported tablet was not found on this system". I have the most recent bios. I am running Windows 7 that came with the laptop. All windows updates completed. Is it possible for the digitizer to be defective, but the LCD screen to work perfectly fine?Could it be just a ribbon failure?Which part would need to be replaced, if this is the case? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

A:X220 tablet touch screen suddenly stopped working

Even though it looks like a single device, it is really 3 separate ones.  There is a basic panel.  There is a static discharge digitizer in the front to sense finger touches.  There is a second Wacom digitizer behind the panel to detect the pen.  Any of them can fail.  The wires in the cable can also crack.  Since both digitizers failed, I would first look in device manager to see if there could be a problem with a USB hub.  (digitizers both connect as USB devices.)  My next guess would be the cable.  Sorry I cannot be more definite.

Hi everybody! I recently got a great deal on an HP Pavilion X2 10- 2 in 1 that came with Windows 10. As it is a secondary computer and going to replace an Android tablet as my primary portable solution, I'm trying to achieve the max. amount of free storage space own the embedded 32gb flash storage.

After uninstalling some bloat and running Windows update, I'm left with a whopping 11.6 gb of free space. I'd read there was a solution to reseting the pc minus the bloat, but I believe that article was incorrect. I would like to ditch the HP recovery partition completely as I have no need for any of their crapware and reclaim that space. (It's a 5.?gb partition where they are hiding the HP junk.)

Is the only solution to purchase a retail Windows 10 license or can I install Windows 10 from USB and the serial automatically transfers? (I doubt that would work.) or is there any other solution to achieve a slimmed down install so I can ditch the partition and just have pure Windows 10?

If and when you get rid of the recovery partition, I would recommend to first make an image of the system so that you always have some fallback. And make sure you include the partition with the bootmgr.

The problem is when I go into the settings to configure the device, I get an error that says "TABLET DRIVER WAS NOT FOUND". Because I cannot access the settings, I can't make any changes to tracking, sensitivity, and more. It's very problematic.

I've spoken with Wacom about this issue. This is what we have tried:Restarting its local Service
Stopping and Starting its local Service
Uninstalling all drivers and software and installing it again
Trying legacy drivers
Creating a new User account and attempting the installation again

When these solutions did not help, the conclusion was that my system either had a virus or my security program was too sensitive. I am using BitDefender Total Security 2015 and have Windows Defender and Windows Firewall disabled.

I spoke with a BitDefender tech support representative and we tried the following:Installing with On-Access Scanning turned off
Installing with Active Virus Control turned off
Installing with Firewall turned off

Nothing has succeeded.

Whatever the cause is, something is preventing this driver from either taking or being recognized.

At this point, I don't know what is ca... Read more

A:Table Driver was not Found, Wacom Tablet on Windows 7

I am having the exact same problem, and have been trying to troubleshoot it for the past few days. I have contacted Wacom about my case but they have yet to get back to me.

In the meantime, I tried all of what you mentioned:

Restarting its local Service
Stopping and Starting its local Service
Uninstalling all drivers and software and installing it again
Trying legacy drivers
Creating a new User account and attempting the installation again
This particular PC has had an Intuos3 and a Cintiq 12WX installed in the past, so addition to those, I also tried digging deep into my Registry Files (saved a backup beforehand) and removing any instances of Wacom, and also removing any instances of Wacom from my User AppData folders.

This has not worked, but my thinking right now is that this is one of two problems:
1. There are drivers buried deep into my OS that not even Windows Add/Remove Programs can get rid of, interfering with the Intuos Pro driver, or
2. (the one I'm leaning towards) Windows is simply not detecting the correct driver and Windows Update is obtaining an incorrect driver, or some generic tablet driver that allows it to at least function. Which results in it being useable, but the pen detection is sporadic and there is zero pressure sensitivity, and attempting to open Wacom Tablet Properties consistently results in the error "THE TABLET DRIVER WAS NOT FOUND."

The reason I say this is because even when I install straight from the disc, or through t... Read more

I have a Tablet drawing monitor, and today the pen stopped working, I fiddled with it for a while, I tried uninstalling the drivers for the Hardware and reinstalling, but then I noticed that the Tablet Settings and Calibration Options you normally see in Control Panel are mysteriously gone. After maybe 2 hrs of googling I've given up,. there's very little on google, and now im considering doing a "Rest This PC." Any help would be appreciated.

A:PERFORMED TABLET RESET now UNABLE to START TABLET

If it is still under warranty, call Lenovo. IF you tried to reset to factory defaults, and it is still failing, then you have something else that is going bad. My suspicion would be memory as that is what happened to me although it was on a desktop. Something to check...good luck.

Does anyone know if there is a program available (free if possible) similar to Quicken (Deluxe) that I could use on my Android Tablet(HP 10 Tablet G2 -2301)? That would keep track of bank accounts and interest earned, and keep track of one stock IRA and interest earned and yearly RMD? And produce reports for that interest earned, etc.? Mainly for using when preparing yearly tax forms.

hi there.a have a airis winpad 81w tablet... i;being so stupid; went and made a clean install of windows 10, and erase all of the partitions; to gain so me more space. and make the windows to create all the partitions. all good. but the windows cant complete the install on the last part. i them go to diskpart to see the partititons and i have 2 partitions whit "hidden" attibutes- sistem and recovery partitions. i think that the problem. if the partitions are hidden, are windows able to write on them? or maybe something on bios that hide that partitions?

A:fresh install of windows 10 on tablet

The partitions you are seeing are a normal install. You might check the system requirements for storage space requirements. It looks like your C partition is only 13 GB.

Dear all:

I bought an HP tx2500 in early October and have had numerous problems with it. The specs are a 2.4 GHz AMD Turion X2 ultra 64 with ATI 3200 graphics, and 3 GB of memory. It overheated so much and had so many other problems that I had to send it in to get repaired. I could not even load windows XP much less install it and now that I got the laptop back, I still cannot install windows XP. The CD will load initially, but will crash right before it goes to the partitioning and installing screen.

I get the message
***STOP: 0x0000007B (0xF78D2524, 0x00000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

With the blue screen of death every time. I have tried 4 different windows XP cds, and they all fail with the same error message. I even tried the windows xp tablet pc edition, and that failed. Every time I tried, it was with windows SP2. I would appreciate if you could tell me what I need to do in order to install windows XP on this computer.

Thank You

To start out, let me say that yes I shouldn't have tried to fix something that wasn't broken.. I don't know much about re-installing OS's, but I didn't think it would give me this many issues.

I just re-installed my laptop with a file: winnt32
Because I don't have the original discs. During re-installation it said "missing file tpgwlnot.dll on disc 2 of installation" So I hit cancel and continued with the download.

Now the laptop has no drivers or anything but bare bones. (not even paint or minesweeper)

It will not recognize any sort of internet connection or hardware to connect it to the internet.I have tried to download drivers via sd card, but the drivers aren't working.

It's an old Toshiba Portege M200 running on Windows XP Tablet PC 2005.

Toshiba's website offered me no help whatsoever because the driver they had on their downloads page didn't work.

Any help would be great. Thank you!!

I have built a computer and I am quite stumped by this issue

Gigabyte H77M-D3H ver 1.1 board
8 GB ram
Intel 2105 i3 CPU
Adata SSD SP900 256GB SSD
Silverstone 500w psu
Pinoneer DVD RW
Windows 7 Home Premium with SP1 OEM disk.

I have several copies of Windows 7 full OEM disks, I have tried 9 other disks thinking there may be a read error. I believe I have successfully eliminated that as a possibility.

I assembled the system, booted into BIOS, set AHCI enabled, Boot priority to DVD Drive on SATA channel 4 as #1, and SATA channel 0 #2 the Adata SSD. SATA channel 0, and 1 are 6gb/sec 2-5 are 3gb/sec. I disabledd UEFI and set to legacy. The BIOS sees the SATA drive size and manufacturer. Saved BIOS settings and rebooted with Windows 7 Disk in drive.

On the tutorial seen here http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1649-clean-install-windows-7-a.html
I can only get to step 7. When at that screen I have no drive to select and i get the alert "No drives found". One time, and one time only - I did get a drive to select which had 0 space avalable to load windows.

The BIOS for this board is the latest and greatest from Gigabyte - F9 version. F10 is a beta build.

What I have done:
1. Looked at Adata website for any drivers - none, only the firmware update tools
2. Looked at Gigabyte website and found nothing pertaining to this issue. Went thru MB manual and it says to load the provided mother board driver disk 'after' windows is installed.
3. Removed battery from MB,... Read more

Good evening everyody, sorry I'm new here.

Here's my problem : I have a brand new asus transformer book t100HAN, but it came with windows 10 family edition in it, which I intensely dislike.

I have two copies of windows 8 pro (through my university) one x32 and one x64 ; is there any way for me to ditch the windows 10 and install one of my win8 on the t100HAN ?

Thanks in advance.

A:How do I install Win8 on a t100AH tablet with windows 10

I'm not a big fan of Win10 myself, but consider that Win8 is already out of support, so you would need to upgrade to Win8.1 soon after install. And, if you then add a Start Menu (of which several good ones are available), then what you end up with is a LOT like Win10. Myself, I refer to Win10 as Win8.2 with spyware -- as that is what I consider it to be. And, I use the best Win10 spyware remover out there (Destroy Windows 10 Spying) to disable the telemetry being sent to MS, and I do NOT use Cortana, OneDrive, or Store apps.

The other big difference between Win8.x and Win10 is the forcing of Windows Updates -- but there are also ways (as documented in our sister site -- the Win10 Forums) to disable Windows Update from updating Drivers.

My advice is to make these changes and stick it out with Win10 for a while -- and see if then, it's tolerable. Moving back to Win8.1 is really NOT going to be a lot different from Win10.
