I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

My company has several HP1300 LaserJet printers on desks that have developed an extremely frustrating issue. They are printing multiple pages on one sheet of paper. When printing only one page, no problem. But, when printing a multiple page document all pages are printed on top of one another on one sheet of paper. This started all of a sudden, and all of my 1300's are doing it - no other model. I have tried uninstalling the printer, deleting the driver and reinstalling - didn't help. I have tried using drivers for similar printers - didn't help. HP "customer support" is next to impossible to get on the phone. Anyone have any thoughts?

How do I print more than one picture like thumbnails to a single sheet of paper? And then print a bunch of pictures to 4x6 cards, one per card, but, a folder full?
I can't print a batch of picture thumbnails to a single sheet. I get one thumbnil per sheet.

A:I can't print a batch of picture thumbnails to a single sheet.

Using standard Windows Photo Viewer you can print multiple images per page. Quantity depends on your page size. Options for letter size are: 1, 2, 4, 9, 35 images per page.

To work with multiple jpg images you need to highlight desired images by clicking on them one by one while holding CTRL key or highlight all files in the folder by pressing CTRL+A. Then right click one of them and select Print.

In printing wizard you need to chose Printer, Paper size, quality and number of images per pager (far right part of the window, scroll down for more options).

Please refer to this link for a video and more details on the subject.

We don't have perforated paper in our new home so this was a frustration and surprise. I hope that HP will surprise me with compensation of a new black cartridge as this was obviously used before, refurbisheshed and sold as new.Thank you,Kitty1854

My Dell Latitude 3340 is running Windows 7.
The network printers are all installed on our Print server.
The Print Server is using the HP Universal driver (v5.3).
Two users print to any printer on the server and the multi-page document spools and than comes out at once on one page.  It overlaps each page and comes like a big mess.
This happens on many different model printers.
The print jobs can be processed 1 page at a time, but the orientation is wrong.
When each printer is installed by IP address, the print jobs come out fine.
There are other users who can print to these printers fine.
We have tried:

Disabling Advanced Printing OptionsPrinting Directly to PrinterChanging the driver (HP UPD 6, actual driver for each model)Disabling Kaspersky Anti-Virus on the deviceRan all Windows Up dates as of 03/15
As I was typing this, a third person developed the same issue.
The other users (large number) have no issue and can print fine.
Has anyone seen this issue and if so, please let me know my next move.
Thanks to all in advance!

We had scanned some pictures using PaperPort where it took up the whole sheet, now when we scan the image only fills a corner of the white sheet. We have tried a number of options and can't find the settings to switch. We have a brother MFC 3820 C printer, scanner and fax machine. I have looked at the owners manual but did not see any thing. On the PaperPort menu we explored under help. Any ideas is appreciated.

A:Scanning picture with paper port

Can you put the cursor on the edge of the picture and see if you can drag it out to make it bigger. Don't know really how to explain but on my scanner when I see the photo I can put my cursor on the edge and drag it smaller if I want to crop it some. Sometimes when I go to scan the next thing it's still in that cropped position so it doesn't fill the whole screen and I have to drag the sides out to make it fill the screen again.

I have had this problem but with a slight difference, I could print to Notepad and nothing else but this time, I can't print from any program at all, not Word, not Notepad, not to PDF and not to my paper printer. I open "See what's printing" and the print jobs are just stuck there.

The last time it printed was at 9:38 PM yesterday. I have used system restore to backdate to 4 days ago and still can't print. I have stopped and started the print spooler, no help.

I'm lost.

I converted a Word doc to PDF using the Acrobat Pro add-in. The document page size is 5.5 x 8.5; press-quality option selected. PDF view of file is perfect. However, when I go to Print, the page size previewed is 8.5 x 11. I tried to select a page size from this print menu (Page Setup) but 5.5 x 8.5 is not listed. I've tried several options (Fit, Choose Paper Source by PDF size, etc.) but nothing works. Maybe it has to do with the selected printer -- an HP Laserjet Pro 200 Color.

I'm sending this file to a commercial printer and want to be sure that it will print exactly as formatted in Word doc and exactly as I see the PDF.

Please help!! Thank you.

I'm looking for a program that reduces how much paper is used when printing. I remember reading a thread where someone had written how many pages they had saved by using a particular program. I'm using a Toshiba Satellite laptop running Windows Vista. I have also been successfully using an HP Photosmart B209a "all in one" printer with a wireless connection. I began getting low ink messages, so installed new HP cartridges. When I try to align the new cartridges, I get a message that says the alignment failed, but I can still use the printer. However, when I try to print any document I have generated on my computer, the printer picks up the paper and goes through the machinations of printing, but when it spits out the paper, it is blank. When I print a test page, it works. When I print a page from a website, it works. It will copy a document. It simply won't print anything I generate using my word processor or spreadsheet (I use Microsoft Works).

HP's Monitor program says that the computer is ready.

I have used HP Solutions Center, but nothing it suggests has made any difference. I have checked my wireless connection and it is working, obviously, or the printer wouldn't be getting the message to print, as it surely is, since it starts, picks up the paper and goes through the whole process of printing. However, nothing comes out except a blank piece of paper.

Hope you can help.

Hello:I am running Windows 2000 pro, with all service packs installed, including the final service pack that was issued in place of the service pack 5 that was canceled. The problem is fairly easy to describe:- I open WordPad, type a single space, then use the File pull-down menu to print a blank piece of paper.- The Print dialog box, pages entry has 1-65535 in it. If I go ahead and click on the Print button, I would need more than 13 cases of paper for the job to complete! This is a new phenomenon, as I have used this technique for quite some time to ensure proper connection to the printer and that other programs will be likely to print correctly and never have had the printer spit-out more than one sheet of paper.I can highlight the "1-65535" value and delete it, which will allow me to print the one blank page I want, but I shouldn't have to do that extra step (and the print dialogue box should not show anything in the "pages" box). I would like to know if perhaps something in the configuration files for WordPad causes this to happen and, if so, what it is, where it is, and how can I change it to get things back to normal.I did run Avast!, Spybot, SuperAntoSpyware, and the free Trend Micro scan to see if there might be some malware that contributes to the problem. Nothing was found.Since I run Win2K on of my other computers, I thought a simple approach would be to locate WordPad and its associated files on one of the other computers and simply ... Read more

Every time I try to print anything, my WF-2530 feeds a sheet through and reports paper out. The unit has seen little use and has never had a paper jam. I have carefully loaded only a few sheets of regular 20 lb paper and it does it every time. I have done the same with some Kodak photo paper for inkjet and gotten the same results. It simply does not detect that there is paper loaded.

I have tried resetting the unit, powering off then on, disconnecting and reconnecting the power cord. Nothing causes it to recognize that paper is loaded after it feeds the first sheet through. Press the 'OK' button and it will feed another sheet and continue to report 'paper out'.

I don't want to replace such a lightly used printer. If I can correct whatever is wrong with the paper sensor it would be a blessing. Help!

I preparing a display that requires printing very light ink on black paper. I have tried white, although a lack of ink makes sense on white paper, yellow and light orange. Looking very closely at the finished sheet I do not see any evidence of any ink being deposited. However, I can see evidence of black being deposited. The printer is a HP PhotoSmart Premium C310a. Incidentally, my Hp series D2600 acts the same way. Both printers print all colors when white paper is used. Any ideas?

A:Trying to print light fonts on black paper

To get even a light gray text you would have to use black ink on white paper. The "color" white is actually the complete absence of any color at all, so most consumer printers have to turn of all the color cartridges and rely on the paper to produce the "white".

You could buy a printer that uses actual white ink, but I bet they're expensive!

But at $276.99 for just the cartridge you might want to consider a white crayon...:-)

I have a HP photo smart B110 series printer, and recently when I send a print job to it that has multiple pages and is quite detailed it always gives a paper jam error.
It occurs when printing PDF files, long word documents... basically anything that has a lot of info. As it is going slowly through once the first page is about 2/3rd printed the Jam error occurs. The next sheet has not moved at all so clearly isn't causing an issue.
If I set the quality to Fast Draft it prints with no problem, but obviously it isn't as good a copy.

Can any one shed any light on this issue please?

A:How do I get Worksheet tabs to print when sheet is printed?

A short answer ...
ActiveSheet.PageSetup.CenterHeader = ActiveSheet.Name
A question though ... would it be somewhat effective to loop through all sheets in a file and do this? Also, how about looping through all files in a folder and doing this? Would it not be easier to do them all at once, or is this a 'one-shot deal'?

Also, btw, you can do this with LeftHeader, RightHeader, LeftFooter, CenterFooter & RightFooter. Other format attributes can also be added if desired.

Well, I have a weird problem around many computers at my workplace that is driving me crazy . As for now, ALL but one computer tested present the same problem.

If I try to make use of the Print Zoom (Pages per Sheet) option in Word XP, the first time I try to use the option nets me blank pages instead of the printer working correctly, after the first time, the Zoom option will work correctly every time I use it, till I close all Word instances. If I open again Word, I get the same problem in the first try.

If I use a printer's embedded Print Zoom (instead of Word's print zoom - if the printer has that option available -) the pages are print correctly.

Also happens if I try to open a DOC file from Internet explorer, no matter if I make the document to be embedded on the IE window, or I make it be loaded on Word XP...

Installed and tested all Office XP patches (SP1, SP2, SP3...) and cannot get the problem solved. I'd be thankful if someone could help

If the end result you are looking for is being able to print many pages on one sheet (or both sides, or booklet, or flipped sideways, etc, etc.) then I think it is just better to use a utility or tool to get around many of Microsoft's problems. So unless, this is one of those "I have to know the answer" kinda things, you will find it much better to just go to http://www.fineprint.com and download FinePrint. The software doesn't expire.

I have a nice LaserJet 2500n, it has a dropdown tray labeled 1, and it has a 250 paper paper tray labeled 2. Everything is fine and dandy. I purchase an extra paper tray, unpack it, and set my 2500n on top of it. Now it keeps defaulting to the extra paper tray no matter what tray I specify in my apps, AND no matter what app I use (IE, Word, Notepad). The only way it will print to Tray2 is by pulling out Tray3! I've tried reinstalling the printer, then going into device settings and selecting 'installed' for tray3. But still nothing. I know the default is always tray 1,3,2. But I would think this gets overriden by the print job. Does this sound normal? Or should I be requesting an RMA? many thanks in advance!

Not sure this is where I should put this, but since it involves an Access report, thought I'd start here.

Have a report that is an invoice and contains a large amount of text and one .wmf cartoon-like picture that measures about 2" x 2.5". Periodically, I have to print this in duplicate for ~140 records in the table that is the data source, so 280 pages. My printer is a Canon Pixma MP600. If I try to print in "Fast" (draft) mode, everything prints but the picture. To get the picture to print, I must increase the print quality to "Standard", which not only uses a lot more ink, but slows the printing substantially (takes about 4x as long). I've tried switching various print software controls, like changing "Intensity" to manual and increasing the contrast, but nothing makes the picture print in Fast mode.

There must be a way to get the printer to print the picture in Fast mode, even if it's ragged. What setting am I missing that might do this?
