Constant IP address block

Q: Constant IP address block

I need a little help, i have the registered version of malwarebytes on my laptop and i keep getting notified of it "successfully blocking access to a potentially malicious website". this is going on constantly and the notification hardly goes away. i have run many scans with malwarebytes, only to find nothing at all. i have also scanned with my registered version of nod32 antivirus with the same results. i'm puzzled with what it could be, and i need a solution before it possibly gets worse.

here is the log:

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

For around 2 weeks malwarebytes has been giving constant messages as follow...

IP-BLOCK 207.232.22.60 (Type: outgoing, Port: 50330, Process: iexplore.exe)

I'm getting this over and over, but only on my windows account (admin) my girlfriends account and daughters account do not give this message.

I have had some help from admin on here but have hit a brick wall.

I have some logs, have ran combofix, FSS, minitoolbox, malwarebytes, aswMBR, bootkit remover and GMER, I'm not getting any results that could suggest whats going on.

I have attatched some logs, and hope someone can shed a little light!
Any help would be gratefully received.

When I got home from work I looked at the log from norton anti-virus and about 15 people tried to connect to my computer more than once today. is there a way to block them from ever trying to connect to my computer. I can track their IP (they are all from south korea and france), but I was wondering if there is a way to block them.

This happens all the time and it is usually the same people (IP addresses).

I go to a site and they tell me way too much information about where I live, software I'm using, my mother's maiden name, how many dog I have and on and on....should be some way to block an IP....anyone have any feed back other than just live with it?

Eh, may sound kind of strange but I think I have a stalker. Over the last few months I have been getting odd e-mails from this one person who I do not know (supposedly), now I have been getting messages left on my AIM by the same person. I set up a "spy link" in my profile and I now have that persons IP address. Is there anything I can do to somehow block that address and make myself invisible to this person?

Thanks,

A:XP: how to block an ip address

With most email clients you can just setup a rule to delete emails from a specified domain. You can set your AIM preferences to block certain users or only allow people in your buddy list to contact you.

I use YAHOO as my web-based email program and I keep getting bombed by spam from this email address....

[email protected] .SYNTAX-ERROR

When I try and use YAHOOS' email filtering to BLOCK this address.... it tells me that I am using an incorrect address... and it won't accept it so that I can block it.

Any hints as to how I can block this address? or..... if the mail is not from here, how can I fing the exact actual address.... so I CAN block it? Any clues as to what may be happening here?

Thanks in advance

DAVID

Yesterday, I noticed my cpu was nearly maxed out constantly and there were several dllhost.exes in my processes. Malwarebytes also displayed a popup every 2 seconds claiming to have blocked something. A friend told me it was Poweliks and had me run ESET Poweliks Cleaner. It removed the issue and the popups stopped, but they have just resumed. Its not as bad as yesterday, but the Poweliks Cleaner doesn't show any results, and neither does Microsoft Security Essentials or Malwarebytes.

OS: Windows 7 64bit
Security Programs: Microsoft Security Essentials, Malwarebytes antimalware,
Superantispyware, and used Poweliks

The popup from Malwarebytes says:

Port: 64499/64981/64983/65013(Port changes with every popup)

I have 2 computers connected to a router connected to DSL modem. Both computers have Kerio Personal Firewall. The logs keep showing that address 192.168.1.255 sends out UDP through port 138. I read somewhere that this is a broadcast address. What is that?

Is it ok to block it? Will it affect file transfers between my 2 coms or the internet connection or something else?

A:Is it ok to block broadcast address?

It's a NETBIOS port for mapping a drive on the network. If you block it, it will probably affect drive mapping between the two computers. If you put your local LAN in the trusted zone for the firewall, this problem should not exist.

I am putting together an old system to use. I reformatted the 2.65 gig hard drive that I was given for free. Told it works though noisy. Ran into some problems getting win98 se installed but finally ok. Tried to install a free 3 month internet prog (bell sympatico) and when i was asked to reboot i got error msgs.

so i reformatted again thinking that maybe the internet disc was corrupted but now i have scandisk telling me that the lba MAY be incorrect.

i accepted the large disc formating (+512mb) it forced me to make a second drive. so i have c (formatted) and extended drive d (also formatted) which is active as a logical drive (or some such, the exact wording escapes me right now) what would be the best steps for me to take right now should i delete the partitions and start over and if so what exact steps should i take to partition? thanx berthasbutt

A:Cant block email address

You can create a rule in Outlook, based on the Subject in the email.

Open the message you want to base a rule on.
On the toolbar, click Create Rule.
In the Create Rule dialog box, select the conditions and actions you want to apply.
To add more conditions, actions, or exceptions to the rule, click Advanced Options, and then follow the rest of the instructions in the Rules Wizard.

Hope this helps.

Just curious: What "computer company" offers the service of finding and revealing physical addresses from e-mail addresses?

If your friend has high-speed internet, the IP address can be easily changed by simply unplugging the modem for a while, and then plugging it back in. I do this to change mine 2 or 3 times a week, just for the sake of privacy.

I need to know if theres a way to block someone from gettin into my computer directly via wifi- not thru a router but directly into my computer- I know the mac address cause i can see the router using inssider and I see that the signal is weak, but I can see their ubee router in my network window. Can i use the tcpip stack to block it or can i configure zonealarm or some program. Thanks a lot

A:Can Win7 block a mac address

Unless you use an ad-hoc network of some kind, I'm pretty sure they would need to go through a router that you are both connected to. You can employ MAC filters on a router pretty easily, on your computer it may be more difficult.

SYSTEM: P3 - clone Win2K O/S SP2 on system.
ROUTER: Linksys BEFSX41 v3

My issue:I have to block two ip addresses 1 XP PC and 1 WIN2K PC from the internet. It use to work until one day the WIN2K pc stopped working. For some reason it just doesn't block it anymore !! What is even crazier is the fact if I log in as ADMINISTRATOR on that pc I still can not access the internet, but if I go in as a normal user... I can go on the net.

I'm on a network with SERVER 2000 and 6 PC's
The DNS range (from the router) is from 192.168.1.100 to 150...

The IP address of the XP machine that still remains blocked is: 192.168.1.22
WIN2K pc was 192.168.1.25 and change it to 192.168.1.125 just to make it within the range. Didn't work.

Can I block the WIN2K pc from accessing the net with the admin tools from the server 2000 ? or do you have any tips that I can try from the router side. Please remember it did work. All I do is windows update and norton update. Just one day it stoped working.

Thanks for your time

I have Vista now, and want to block my network from accessing specific IP addresses. When I had Windows XP, I used to use Sygate Personal Firewall to make advanced rules to do this. However, SPF does not work on Vista. What resource-lightweight solution can I use to block specific IPs? Thanks!

Can someone tell me how to find a programs IP address so it cannot "call home". I tried blocking it with a firewall, but it still manages to "call home". For example, when using TuneUP Utilities 2010.

Thanks guys!

A:Finding a program's IP address to block

Use a firewall like Comodo or whatever you like. When a program tries to call home, firewall should detect the outbound connection and notify you if you want to allow or block it.

Hi,
Is it possible to block emails from everyone else, except the ones listed in your addesss book? I couldn't find an option to do that. Hotmail has a feature to block mail except those on your contact list.
YOu'd figure OE has something as well.

I use OE 6.00.29 WinXP

I am tired of receiving those spam mails advertising some kind of stupid stock alert.
I also use Norton anti spam,. It used to block these, but it seems like they are now coming to my regular Inbox, instead of Norton's anti spam bnox.

The mails contain an image, along with regular text to fool the filters.
Thanks in advance,
Gary.

Hi,
I am trying to block SMB 445 incoming requests using Windows Firewall. I have configured Inbound rule to allow only specific IP address to connect through SMB and access shared folder but the rule is not working. It allows other computers to connect and
access the shared folder.
For example:
There are 3 computers: Win7-01; Win7-02; Win7-03
Win7-01 has shared folder that should be accessible only by Win7-02 and not by Win7-03
Steps carried out:
1. Created inbound firewall rule on Win7-01 to allow SMB port TCP 445 to be accessed by IP address of Win7-02 (Under Scope tab of firewall rule)
2. Configured rule to Block (Default) connections - (this allows only rules with exceptions)
3. Allowed only Win7-02 hostname to access Win7-01 (Under Computer tab
4. Configured same settings for default rule - 'File and Printer Sharing (SMB-In)
But the shared folder is accessible from both machines Win7-02 and Win7-03
Please suggest if any other configuration is required to be done
Even if I reverse the above configuration to allow or block any of the other PC the firewall rule doesnt work at all. It allows any computer to access shared folder on Win7-01
Appreciate your help to resolve this issue.

Regards,
Ashvin T

I am trying to set up an address block in the mail merge and when I place the address block on the image of the envelope and preview it, it does not keep the address in block form. It places the name where the block should start, the address line is placed on the beginning of the line under it. The third line is somewhere else. I have tried to set the style following the directions, but there is no choice for address block on my style selections. Any suggestions? WFD

Plesae help me with this problem. (logs attached after description)

My McAfee realtime was turning off automatically and computer was booting up VERY slow and taing a long time to load startup programs. Downloaded MBAM which caught myriad malware, then MBAM realtime. After this though MBAM realtime has been constantly catching (and blocking) my PC's automatic attempt to access the website 85.234.191.60 which seems to be some rogue website in Latvia or something. This happens precisely every hour at 25 minutes and 58 minutes after each hour according to MBAM logs.
McAfee Realtime protection is still constantly being "disabled" after a couple of minutes at most of enabling it.
Computer is still slow on loading the startup applications. Between the system tray loading, startup programs starting, McAfee enabling and disabling, it taks about 10 minutes before I can do anything on my computer from the time the main windows screen first appears.

I saw another thread....someone else seemed to have this exact problem and after many steps running Combofix seemed to fix it. I have not run this because of the "warnings" with it and I do not know exactly what it does.. but perhaps this is the soltuon???? not sure....

Here are the logs.

They often get emails back saying that they cannot send him mail. He sometimes still receives the mail despite the senders complaints. When I check the block senders list in his Hotmail settings there is a big list of all legitimate address. I have tried removing them and I have most recently added them to the safe senders list after they reappeared. This did not do the trick and they are back on the block list! Not long after I started using it I started seeing sluggish performance and on many operations the spinning cursor basically waiting for 20 seconds before I could continue. Looking at the system log I'm seeing hundred of messages "The IO Operation at
logical block address xxxxx for disk x was retried" and disk x can be any storage device in the system i.e. either my main boot drive or my data drive, a USB3 attached hard drive or my ReadyBoost Flash drive.
I've seen other Windows 8 users posting about this problem in various forums and some people have had success fixing it through either an Intel chipset driver update, a bios update or one person switched his SATA controller from AHCI to ATA although I don't
know that would fix these errors on USB attached storage. Some people seem to think that there's either a problem with the Windows 8 storage subsystem or some kind of compatibility issue with bios or SATA controller drivers. At the moment I'm using the latest
bios available for the Sabertooth x79 version 4302 dated 9/3/13 and the latest Intel chipset drivers 9.4.0.1026.

Some say disabling the floppy A: drive in BIOS fixes the issue. Not sure if itll work but if you do decide to reinstall windows you can do a repair install instead which will leave all your documents and programs intact.

Just make sure after doing so you update windows as all updates will be lost in the repair install.

Yesterday, I did a scan of my network with WireShark 3.2.6  Scan was done on my hardwired Ethernet connection. I am somewhat new to advanced wireshark and I do not know everything there is to know but I am in the process of learning.
While looking at the results of a short scan I saw some unsettling IP Addresses that were appearing on my network. I do a lot of schoolwork online and I need to setup Windows 10 Professional's Firewall to block this IP Address or possibly even a range of
IP Addresses.
Problem is: When I do searches with keywords such as "Blocking an IP Address with Windows 10 firewall" I end up receiving results that are intended for businesses or results that are meant for a Windows Server.
I need an understandable solution to this potential security problem. One that I can use Microsoft tools to fix and not some 3rd party app if possible.
My system:
Windows 10 Professional build 18363.1016
MS Office 365 Enterprise Edition subscription through my school

My task at hand is beyond my batch file prowess.

I would like to read the ip address of the local host and add 100 to the last octet. The machine is running XP PRO SP3. For instance: If the machine is currently running an ip address of 192.168.100.10, I would like to change that to 192.168.100.110. The subnet mask and default gateway is to remain the same. There is only one network connection.

If it can be done in a batch file cool, but I suspect a vbs script or something similar is necessary.
Thanks.

A:Change an IP address by a constant

What if your ip address is 192.168.2.200 adding 100 to that ip address will create an overflow there is no such thing as 192.168.2.300 the max value is 255.255.255.255???
i guess it can be done using a small c++ or C# code.

To all the fonts of all knowledge.
I have two questions which are simple ones but I cannot find or don't know where to start to look
Up until now we have supplied just software to our customer and now we are looking at providing the hardware as well as the support for said hardware.

1) The plan is that when we need to carry out any maintenance to the laptops, instead of me or one of my team jumping in a car/plane to the customers location to update the software (both windows and application), the customer connects the laptop to the
internet and dials into our Secure VPN so I can then RD into it to do all the work remotely. However the customer cannot have access to anything else in the outside world. I know it can be done as my wife's laptop cannot access the internet
but only through her company VPN. I want to do the same but not give the customer access to the internet at all just my external IP address so I can access it.
2) We will provide them with secure USB memory sticks to use but they can only use these ones, all others will be blocked. How do I do this?
Your thoughts will be very much appreciated

Phil C

My internet on my laptop connects quickly and easily except it constantly drops the internet connection every minute or two for just a second and has to reacquire the network address. I can connect to the internet but the even second long disconnect can interrupt downloads and refreshes of pages and such.

The computer is connecting wirelessly right now but i have the problem whether it is hard wired into the router or not. The two desktops plugged into the router do not have the problem. i have reinstalled the drivers, reset the router and cable modem, reset the computer, used the repair connection tool, used windows update(which wasnt easy while constantly losing the signal) ive done everything i can think of. the signall strength is constantly excellent so its not dropping the signal and it still has the problem while being connected through the ethernet.

any help would really be appreciated

Hello,
All of the sudden my ESET NOD32 is going nuts with these popups apparently blocking some virus or rootkit from phoning home. I ran a full scan with Nod32 and didnt find anything. Right before the popups started Nod32 quarantined a program locaed at \Temp\kZ2wu2QP.sys. Since then the constant popups from eset are blocking the following two things

Address has been blocked
URL address:
77.79.9.191/service/scripts/files/aff_50006.dll
IP address
77.79.9.191:80

URL address
75.143.193.138/xxxx_4/emxkcjEwMDB8NTAwMDZ8MnwxMTY2MjE3MzY3
IP address
67.192.232.82:80
Every few seconds these popup with the first one being the most common. What is going on here? How can I rid my system of this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A:Infected NOD32 Constant blocked address popups

This is an unofficial response and the advice given is mine, not that of bleepingcomputer.com or it's representatives...

Did you recently install "Fraps.exe"?

Search your computer for "aff_50006.dll" (or "*_50006.dll") and upload it (if found) to "www.virustotal.com" and be sure to choose "reanalyze" when prompted, not view last report.

You should always get a second opinion on any malware alert.
Nod32/eset is a very good product, but I would recommend scanning with another (any other) product too.
Try SuperAntiSpyware or Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, or better yet, BOTH.
(you may need to adjust the default scan settings in SuperAntiSpyware, to get a thorough scan)

If 2 out of 3 products (or 3/3) tell you, you are infected... You are probably infected.

Once you have corroborating evidence for an infection, further steps will become clearer.

Just my personal opinion
