I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.
I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.
You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

What's the difference between the HP Spectre x360 and the HP Envy x360? They both look the same. The only noticeable difference is that HP Spectre x360 has a Radiance Infinity display, while HP Envy x360 has an IPS display. Having the same specs, except for the display, why is the Spectre x360 more expensive than the Envy x360 ? Moreover, I thought that IPS is better than TN, which is my guess that is the technology used for the Radiance Infinity.
Hi, You've got few questions about those products. Well, come to a store and yoy can see the differences. Better still, you can buty 2 machines and compare. For build quality, the HP Spectre x360 is much better than the Envy x360 you can also find Pavilion x360 - we are talking about SPECS and BUILD here about plastics and metals about wood and gold. I have recently dissamsembled and cleaned my notebook. After reassembly I expereienced several errors and had to dissassemble and reassemble again. I also thought the problem could be related to the system harddisk so I removed this and installed it in a harddisk station and connected to annother notebook to see if there were any errors. I did not find any errors but because it is a system disk, the other notebook's system tried to "repair" the drive. Now after I have reinstalled the harddisk in my old notebook, it starts up fine, and all the hardware issues seems fixed. However now the windows version on this system thought there was something wrong and tried to "repair" the harddisk. After this, I do not have full access to windows 10 functions such as start button, windows update etc. and the system itself cannot find any errors expect the harddisk "repair" attempts. How do I regain control over my notebook?Read other answers

I'm a cartoonist and bought the HP Envy x360 in Septmeber or so of 2016. I was at Best Buy and only purchased it because both Best Buy and HP marketed the laptop as good for drawing. Then I find out I need to buy a pen. I just got the HP Active Stylus for Christmas, the guys at Best Buy said it's compatible and so does the HP site here: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05166879 It's not working. There aren't many directions. I read that the first time you use it, a set up screen should pop up, but it isn't. I don't know if it's just me, if I'm not using it correctly, or if it's just not compatible with my computer. If it isn't, what should I get instead?Read other answers

Laptop will randomly feeze to the point it becomes completely unresponsive and requires a hard reset. This has happened consistently since I've had the laptop. In the last couple month the frequency has rapidly increased. I have contacted HP Support numerous times and continue to get different answers and the run around each time. - All Windows and BIOS updates are ran- I did a clean reinstall of Windows based on recommendation from the chat session. Then I had one agent tell me it was probably malware and needed to send me a recovery disk, then the next person said it was a bad Microsoft update. I've done everything asked and I still have a laptop that is constantly freezing, and this is becoming increasingly frustrating. I've noticed this seems to be a common issue with my model of laptop, and wondering if there is a fix for it. Please someone help me out here.Read other answers

I have a brand new Envy x360 that I've had about a week. The power will turn on but there is no display, no HDD activity and lights on the cap locks and mute will not turn on. I've tried a hard reboot, held the power button down for up to 30 seconds to shut it off. I've connected it to an external monitor via the hdmi port, and i've disconnected the battery for about 30 minutes, connected AC power. Still not display, no bios post and no HDD activity light. At this point I'm guessing the motherboard failed. Are there any other troubleshooting suggestions or should I return it to the store I got it at (Costco) for a replacement?Read other answers
Hello, I recently purchased the HP Envy M6 AQ105DX laptop and as I was upgrading the RAM and the hard drive to an SSD, I noticed that there was an M.2 slot on the motherboard that may allow for a secondary SSD for the operating system. I tried to do some resaerch, but since it is a relatively new laptop, there doesn't seem to be too many post on this particular laptop. I noticed that there are several posts about previous versons of the x360, but I am wary of trusting those answers because obviously technology changes, and different motherboards are used and specs change. Anywho, the label right next to the port says mSATA, but all of the mSata SSD for sale online have different pin configurations. The form that looks closet to my port is a PCIe slot. I have included a picture of my slot and if someone could confirm the compatibility, I will forever be in your debt. Thank you.
Hi, From your image, I can't see which way you can fit a M.2 (mSATA) SSD, side way or up-side-down. At least it must be like which numbers which show the length of the SSD. Regards.Read other 3 answers
Hello,I'm having some trouble with my Envy x360 (m6-w103dx). I like it a lot so far and decided it needed a boost, so I took a Crucial BX100 250GB SSD I had and cloned the HDD that came with the laptop to the SSD. Immediately on boot the laptop says the drive's smart status has an issue/failing (which doesn't seem right, the other PC's I've been trying the SSD on aren't showing the same things, and just this morning the SSD was functioning perfectly fine as the boot drive of an older PC)After that the laptop would say "Boot device not found, Please install an operating system on your hard disk" (3F0).So I figured okay, maybe I botched cloning the HDD. I plugged the SSD back into my desktop and wiped it clean, and prepared a Windows 10 USB installer. While I was doing this, I also put the original HDD back in the laptop to make sure it was still functioning properly and the laptop booted up fine just like it used to.I put the wiped/cleaned SSD back into the laptop. I'm still getting the message about the drive's smart status on boot, and "Boot device not found, Please install an operating system on your hard disk" (3F0). So sounds like I just need to install windows...plugged in the Win 10 USB drive, and set bios to boot USB first. After that Windows 10 installer came up just like it normally does but there were no drives detected. I'm pretty stuck at this point. I've tried cloning, wiping the drive and initializing it as MBR, and again wiping it and trying... Read moreRead other answers
Hi, I am currently on my 4th HP laptop and finding them to be woefully inadeqaute at delaing with the simplest of tasks reliably!.... I won't go into the issues with previous laptops but the problems I am experiencing with this one after only a month are beyond a joke for a £650 laptop, especially as I am hardly pushing it to the limit..... I only use the internet, a little bit of streaming, Word docs, email (Windows Live Mail) etc... This laptop is the HP Envy X360 15-ar052sa with the AMD A12-9700p processor, which I was told means it would be good at multi threading. Since I purchased it I have had issues with the tracker pad going mental on startup and flicking around the screen by itself for 3 - 5 minutes, and the laptop getting rediculously hot with the fan on continuously, despite me only checking and sending emails through Live Mail on some of these occassions, i.e. no other programs running. Thankfully these issues seemed to resolve themselves during the course of some Windows updates (Not sure which ones solved the issues though.) Unfortunately since I installed an 'HP Notebook System BIOS Update (AMD Processors)' about 5 days ago the laptop regularly gets hot again, sometimes has difficulty streaming videos on Youtube, has crashed multiple times, Chrome now runs slow and freezes regularly.... I do not know if the update is responsible, but the timings coincide.... Also I'm not at all techi so would need fairly idiot proof answers if possible&nbs... Read moreRead other answers

Hi, I'm having trouble with Windows Hello. When I first purchased my notebook, Windows Hello was working fine, I had set it up correctly and had been using it successfully for a couple of weeks. Now, it's suddenly not working, and when I try to configure it in settings, there's an error that it cannot find the camera. I've been through the support blogs/forums and tried everything I could find, i.e. updating the software drivers, updating bios, restarting, etc. I have no idea how to get it working again. I can still unlock with my pin/password but it's just inconvenient when it was so quick to use Windows Hello before. If anyone can help that would be fab! CheersRead other answers

Hello, I have an Envy x360 15t-w000 purchased a little over a year ago. Product number K8Q06AV. I recently cracked my screen and am having trouble locating a digitizer. I do not need an LCD, just the digitizer. Could you possible tell me where I could purchase one? Thank you!

I need help. This is my first HP laptop, and so far it has been a nightmare. I have had serious problems with lag time for response when online, between selecting a website and the ability to scroll on any main page. Now, as I was updating what the laptop HP service Centre said I needed to update, I ran into further problems while surfing online, and then the fan kicked on, and my screen went black. I cannot recover it.This has been very frustrating and now I don't know how to reboot it as it's an internal battery - something I didn't know before buying it - so I'm unable to stop the fan from running. How can I stop this? What is causing this problem?I'm worried the fan is going to burn out because I can't stop it!! And I'm also really worried I just wasted a lot of money on this brand new laptop that is not proving to be very good at all!!!
