I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.
I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.
You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)
I have my Yoga for 5 days and the touchscreen stopped working mid-use! Tried everything I could, I also have reinstalled the factory image. Touchpad and pen are working correctly but not the touchscreen. The HID Touch device is in the hardware manager. It's a 20C0. I've open a service request yesterday, I'm still waiting. Does anyone else had this problem with a brand new Yoga?
Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!
I?m sorry to hear that touchscreen of your ThinkPad Yoga stopped responding.
Open Device Manager in control panel. Look for the option Human Interface Device. Under Human Interface Device, look for HID-compliant device. Right click on this option and choose Disable and then re-enable the same.
If the above said didn?t help, it could possibly be a hardware issue. I?m sure the Lenovo technical support can be of great assistance.

I've had my ideapad (flex 15 20309) for about 2 years and was working fine. Around 5 months ago I noticed my touchscreen wouldn't work any more. Sometimes after a reboot it would seem to come back to life but now I can't figure out what is going on. I seem to have Microsoft Windows 10 home as the operating system. I can't find any setting or keystroke or anything that can get my touchscreen back to life. Help! My touchpad (mousepad) works fine and I'm using a USB mouse as well because I don't like using the mousepad. The only thing I think has changed in the last 5 or 6 months was probably windows 10 and the regular updates that are done via windows 10.Read other answers
Actually it's a clean reinstallation of win 10. Before it there wasn't this kind of problem. When working in Word or Chrome laptop just freezes and becomes absolutely unresponsive (doesn't reacts to keyboard or mouse). Only reseting by long press of power button helps.Read other answers
Yesterday my 100S-11IBY installed the Windows 10 Anniversary Update (aka Windows 10 Version 1607). It now has multiple problems and is unusable. 1. The keyboard (yes, the built in keyboard) does not work. None of the keys (letters, numbers, 'actions' like backspace) work at all. If I plug in a USB wireless keyboard, it works just fine. So maybe there is a problem with the device driver for the built in keyboard with the Anniversary Update. The keyboard worked just fine before Windows Update installed the Anniversary Update. 2. The trackpad does not work. If I plug in a USB wireless mouse, it works just fine. So maybe there is a problem with the device driver for the trackpad with the Anniversary Update. The trackpad worked just fine before Windows Update installed the Anniversary Update. 3. The 32GB Kingston microSD card plugged in to the microSD port is not recognised by File Explorer. If I plug the 32GB Kingston microSD card into a USB microSD card reader, and plug the card reader in to a USB port, the microSD storage is recognised in File Explorer, so the microSD card itself is fine. So maybe there is a problem with the device driver for the microSD port with the Anniversary Update. The microSD port worked just fine and the microSD card was recognised in File Explorer before Windows Update installed the Anniversary Update. 4. There is no audio, Windows now says no audio hardware is installed. So maybe there is a problem with the device drivers... Read moreRead other answers
I recently installed windows 7, and pervious to that I had my windows XP.
I have 2 HD and the second one is where I put most of my files.
So i tried to open one my my pictures, and found a message saying:
"Windows photo viewer can't
open this picture because you don't have the correct permissions to access the file location."
So I've tried to change the security prefrences to the HD using the security tab in the HD properties, but every time I try and change something, a pop-up message comes up for each file in the HD saying: "access denied".
So I can't change any of the security preperties.
Thanks in advanced.
Go to Device Manager and uninstall the drive, when rebooted it should clear the problem.Read other 6 answers
I got this laptop a couple of years ago and it has worked fine up until now. When Windows 10 was released I updated it and everything worked fine apart from the brightness was stuck and I could not alter it. I decided to clear my whole laptop and reset it to its factory settings for the new year and when I did everything worked fine however it was back to Windows 8. I downloaded Windows 10 and my laptop restarted, when I came back it was stuck on the HP logo and has been everytime I reboot it.I performed the system tests that other forums have said to do so and there was no problems, I've performed hard resets with still no luck. Everything is working however it will not let me refresh my laptop. I have given it another factory reset however I am scared to redownload Windows 10 incase it breaks again but I would like to have it as I prefer it to 8.Any help is appreciated.Read other answers

Hi,I reinstalled a fresh copy of Windows 7 Premium Edition on a HP Pavilion DV6 laptop after changing the failed harddrive. My first attempt at both. After installing all the drivers I could find from the HP website, I was up and running, but realized Windows Update would search endlessly. I tried all the boards, suggestions, and driver downloads I read about, but nothing is working. Windows Update Standalone Installer cycles endlessly as well. Almost everything I download to fix this issues requires Windows Standalone Installer for installation. Coincidentally, Windows Defender won't update either. Can anyone help this newbie? I appreciate all your help. Thanks, NYJRead other answers

A user on another forum who had the same problem said that is was an issue with the HID devices that correspond to the touchscreen getting disabled. Here the quote: SOLUTION that WORKED for ME:Goto Windows Device Manager (WDM) @ section, "Human Interface Devices" (HID).Note, you will NOT see anything labeled, "Touchscreen" in the entire HID list.Right-Click menu for each HID should look like the following list: "Update Driver Software..." "Disable" "Uninstall" "--------------" "Scan for hardware changes" "--------------" "Properties" Obviously, if the right-click menu's 2nd item = "Disable" then it's already EnabledSOLUTION is to ENABLE each HID that 2nd item = "Enable" ALL OF THIS WOULD'VE BEEN MUCH EASIER IF THE DISABLED HID WAS LABELED, "TOUCHSCREEN"but sad to say it wasn't... and that's why I had to check each HID if it was enabled or not.Read other 1 answers

My Aspire 5-583p's touchscreen hasn't worked in a long while. I'd say about 6 months or so. No new programs installed nor drops/spills/accidents or anything. It stopped working before I upgraded from windows 8.1 to windows 10. Thought that upgrading might somehow help. But to no avail. So far I've tried: updating drivers, disabling and enabling the drivers, uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers, refreshing my pc, and taking apart the screen to make sure the the sensor is plugged in and secure. Also looked through every setting I could imagine as well as the manual. My last resort is going to be restoring to factory settings but I'm open to any suggestions beore I take the plunge. Hey all, My Spectre's touch screen stopped working after trying to upgrade its firmware.I was looking for a newer firmware version to make the stylus work, but after running the software I got a red screen, it rebooted and never worked.I called HP support and they told me it is a hardware problem, however the hardware is detected correctly when I boot it with a Linux distro. Hey everyone, I picked up my Yoga today, and I love it. However, about an hour ago the touchscreen went completely unresponsive. The last thing I remeber doing, before noticing the touchscreen becoming unresponsive, was installing the Android SDK. (Well, I ran the installer, but it didn't recognize JDK). So, here I am, with the touchscreen not functional at all. Has anyone else had a similar problem? Does anyone have any suggestions? I tried the "refresh" and that didn't work. I'm probably going to try the wipe/clean install option in a bit. I guess that would tell me for certain if it's a hardware problem or not. I'm really hoping this isn't a design flaw with the 360 hinge causing issues. I really like the laptop, and would rather not have to deal with hardware issues like this down the road. :/ I'll be calling support in the morning, but was hoping to get this resolved tonight if anyone has had a similar problem. Thanks!

perhaps that program just donīt work with WIN8?
Try a Windows system restore and restore it to a point before you tried installing Android SDK.
I seem to have a problem with my touchscreen not working. I'm not sure what happened. I tend not to restart my laptop right away after updates and one day it rebooted itself in the middle of the night and I woke up to the touchscreen not working. There doesn't even seem to be a HID device in the device manager, suggesting it's not detecting it for some reason. I know sometimes these devices are children of other devices (perhaps something to do with USB?), and I have some devices that say they cannot start as well. Any help if figuring this out would be appreciated.Read other answers
