I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hi Lenovo community, I just got a drawing tablet. It's a HUION Kamvas (like a Wacom Cintiq). It connects via USB for tablet functionality (perhaps the Kamvas output) and HDMI cable for the graphics screen function to turn on. I can't get the tablet to project the Yoga laptop screen or get a dual screen. In the settings under "display", I couldn't get the tablet to connect via Bluetooth, or in any other discoverable way. I can't fix this through the HUION driver settings or reinstalling it. I've called LENOVO customer support and they said in order for my tablet to work, it needs to be an external monitor. I think the tablet is an external monitor through an HDMI connection. The tablet buttons and pen work alright because of the USB connection, but I bought this for the 'drawing on the tablet screen experience". The pen that I have for the Yoga is alright for quick sketches and notes, but I need the buttons and HUION drawing functionality. All I need to know is if there is a way to get the HDMI to project onto my tablet. Any advice would be helpful since I've out exercised my creative tech support juices! If it's all for not, then oh well, I'll just try another tablet. Thanks!

I just this morning installed my drawing tablet on this computer and I got this error about 5 minutes into using it. That's the short story.

The long story, however, is that this is my 13th BSOD since I installed a new HD into this laptop and reinstalled the version of Win7 I had. The difference is that this BSOD is the first one I've got that's not a 7A error and that's actually created a dumpfile. It's something of a revelation for me, but it doesn't appear to be at all related to the BSODs I've been suffering to date. Basically, I don't think this means that my old BSODs will suddenly be making dumpfiles for me too. I am curious whether there might be something in the attached dumpfile zip that tells me more than just the basics of what caused this particular BSOD and might help explain my others. That's for someone who know what they're looking at to determine though. For now, it would be helpful to get a solution to this specific BSOD and then I can work on the BSODs that have been bothering me until now.

Here's a link to my original thread addressing all the BSODs I've suffered previously if that info is of interest to anyone and could perhaps help here...

Hello Guys,

I'm really conflicted here. and I can't seem to find any answers anywhere....

I don't know whether I should buy an official drawing tablet...or if I should buy this one Android tablet that I've wanted for a long time and just draw on that.

I'm thinking about the Samsung Galaxy Note . And it has some good drawing apps on it and the S pen would be nice... I just wanted to know if anyone else had experience with doing this, and if so, how do you like it?

Of course, I wouldn't use the Samsung tablet just for drawing...but I don't know if I'm willing to buy an actual drawing tablet...I don't know if I'm dedicated enough.

I heard that XP-Pen Deco Pro Drawing Tablet supports connection with Android 6.0 and above devices . Does anybody have experience with it .

Just...what do you think?

Hello everybody, first of all i'm new in this forum and this is my first post and my english is not the best

I recently installed Vista ultimate x64 (previously i used xp sp2 ) because i upgraded to 4gb of ram and xp doesn't recognize more than 3gb of ram.

I'm a digital artist and i heavily use graphic tablet ( Genius MousePen 8x6 ) for drawing in Photoshop CS3. I found x64 drivers for the tablet and i installed them and everything appeared to be ok.

But when i draw for example a simple line, there is a delay to appear the line on screen. I mean delay in miliseconds, but is very annoying and it makes difficult to draw.

In XP this was not happens, the line appeared in real time.

I noticed when i plug the tablet that there is an annoying window called "Tablet PC Input Panel", this could be the problem ? If yes how do i disable it ?

Or perhaps a hardware problem ? my cpu is Core 2 Quad q6600.

Thanx in advance!

Hello there

I've recently ran into a really annoying and to me, worrying, situation in which plugging in my drawing tablet to the front USB sockets manages to freeze my PC. Right as I plug it in there's just no response whatsoever. I haven't had that issue before with the same tablet and as far as I know there weren't any driver updates to it (pretty sure I'd have to do that manually anyways). My PC specs are posted below, the tablet is a Huion H420. I thought the issue was with one specific USB port, as they have in the past sometimes (quite randomly I've felt) gotten "overloaded" or something like that, but trying others I just got the same issue and the crashes require hard resets, which I believe I've seen aren't good for the hardware's health, so I'd really like to resolve the issue. I'll gladly provide any info that's needed.

I have a fifteen inch XP-Pen Artist 15.6 ( I buy it from https://www.amazon.co.uk/Artist15-6-1920x1080-Graphics-Drawing-Battery-free/dp/B0785682VP ). I want to use it for drawing (love to draw people, nature, animals and sometimes abstract), graphic design and editing photos. I do want to have accuracy. I've read that small would be good because it all depends on the screen size in comparison to the actual tablet, but I've also read that you can get more accuracy with a slightly larger tablet. such as XP-Pen Artist22E ( https://www.amazon.co.uk/Artist22E-Graphic-Interactive-Shortcut-Adjustable/dp/B01M28DHOA )I don't mind moving my hand a bit for accuracy. I've called best buy and all they say I cannot test the tablet, but I can buy it and return it if its not to my liking.

I'd really like to test it out however to choose. I've used small tablets before and recall having to do some zooming in for nice detail on the 15 inch. I no longer have one and would like to find the best fit. I guess I could be leaning toward either whatever is truly the best fit for me. I want to create beautiful works of art and to eventually do it professionally.

Let me know what you think is the best solution in this case. Thank you so much!

Ok, I'll try to keep this fairly short and understandable...

So I got a new computer thrown together, and upgrade from my last one, and everything has been working fairly well. Ran into a few problems here and there, as there can be with computers built from scratch, but there is this one thing that isn't making any sense to me.

I've been busy re-installing all of the programs that I like to use, like Photoshop CS2, and I am trying to install my Hanvon 5*6 drawing tablet.

Now, I thought everything would be fine and dandy, seeing as all my other USB ports were working just fine, considering that I was able to transfer files from a flash drive and portable hard drive, but when I plugged in my tablet, an annoying bubble keeps popping up over and over and over again saying that the "USB Device is not Recognized" and all this nonsense about the device has malfunctioned.

I know well that my tablet is working just fine, because I plugged it into my brother's computer and it found the tablet like it should and installed it and worked just fine after installing the drivers.... So, why should my computer not recognize the tablet ether?

In short, my computer refuses to recognize my tablet, but it can use other things, like portable hard drives, flash drives, and my keyboard, just fine without complaining, (Note that my tablet fine works on other computers) and I have the tablet drivers installed and everything.

Anyone have a solution to this problem... Read more

HELP! I have a really old tablet and a really new computer, and they aren't playing well together. Hi there,

I'm not sure if this is a hardware problem or not.
A friend of mine just got a new drawing tablet to replace her old one and she's having a problem now where if she opens a program to work with the tablet, for example Photoshop, the laptop will register the tablet as a mouse. Also Photoshop will sometimes crash on initializing. She has tried other art programs and the tablet is still acting as a mouse in those, so the Photoshop crash issue might not be related.

Sometimes the laptop will recognize the tablet properly, sometimes it won't. She tried reinstalling the tablet's drivers and it worked for a day or two and then started acting funny again. Even after a reboot or two.

Here's all the information I have:

She's using the tablet in the same usb port as the old one, she believes.
The new tablet is a Intuos 2 graphics tablet.
The old tablet I believe was also a Wacom much like the new one. (she still has the old one btw)
She's using a bamboo create pen on the new tablet.
She hasn't tried cleaning her registry yet.
She hasn't tried using the tablet in a different usb port.
Her laptop is an Acer Aspire AS7741Z-4815
All USB ports are reporting to be up to date and functioning fine.
We're thinking it's either the new tablet itself or the usb port it's in. I'm thinking it's not a physical connection issue because the laptop doesn't display a new connection message when the tablet starts ... Read more

I have literally tried every single thing I can think of. I've had two computer technicians try different things, I've contacted Monoprice support, and nothing is working.

I recently (within the last week) bought a Monoprice MP1060-HA60 (PID 6814) graphics drawing tablet. The pressure sensitivity works but after an undetermined amount of time (can be anywhere from a few seconds to 10 minutes) the tablet stops controlling the mouse. The light on the tablet still lights up when the pen makes contact. I'm wondering if anyone else in the community has had this issue and found something that works?

I've tried the following:
- Installing the drivers from the CD. Uninstalled and reinstalled several times.
- Installing the drivers from the website. Uninstalled and reinstalled several times. There are two versions.

- Installing the Legacy drivers from the UC-Logic website (this worked for a few seconds before causing the tablet to freeze.) Uninstalled and reinstalled several times.
- Installing Photoshop CC 32-bit (since I run a 64-bit system.) Nope.
- Installed an older version of Photoshop (CS6). Works for a few minutes before stopping.

- Tried running Photoshop 64-bit and 32-bit both in compatibility mode with the tablet. Nope.
- Tried messing with all of the settings, nope.
- If I go into Brush Preferences > Shape Dynamics, there is an exclamation mark by the "pressure sensitivity" setting saying that Photoshop needs a pressure-sensitive tab... Read more

Well if I did I would have not been talking to them at all I would have use the Windows 7 to try to fix the problem or just installed Windows 7. Lets say if your system is lock with a BSOD with this stop error 0x0000c1f5 you will find it very difficult to fix. But I did find a way. Microsoft and Sony were unable to help so this left me on my own. First I tried the program called System Rescue Cd to remove the corrupted $TxfLog file. Now I was able to use the Recovery Disk to diagnostic the system. Once you erase the HDD with Super FDISK you will not be able to restore Vista. You will have to use the Recovery Dick to wipe clean the HDD and reinstall Vista. During the Disc erase of the HDD using the Recovery Disc I had an error that would not let the program erase all of the data off the HDD. So I downloaded the Drive Fitness Test Cd image program from Hitachi Global Storage Technologies to check the HDD. After the diagnostic test was finish... Read more

Alright, first off, here are my specs.
EcS K7S5A Mobo
Athlon XP 1800+
GeForce 4 Ti 4600
512 MB PC2100 DDR
80 GB Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM
And I run WINXP Pro.

My problem:
First off, my computer froze while drawing the start menu fading in. (When restarted in safe mode, said "Could not complete drawing operation" or something like that). The problem continues:
During startup (VCard BIOS, BIOS, Boot Screens), my computer has multiple vertical lines of gibberish. Across the entire screen, every 6 characters or so, there is a line straight down where the characters are shifted around, and when there is not supposed to be a character, a ? symbol appears. (supposed to be the box). This problem persists into windows, where WinXP will no longer boot in normal mode. I have to boot it into safe mode, and even there, There are yellow vertical lines (about 60 of them in all) that only appear over light colors (such as the white of this dialogue box that i am typing my message into and the surrounding grey, but not the black desktop). When the desktop is displayed, moving the mouse causes these lines to appear where the mouse was (and they are blue in color). (This does not appear to be a software issue because the bios and vcard bios are affected, as well as if i were to printscreen and paste it in paint, the lines would appear in the copy.) This is about the full extent of my problem.

I hope I am posting this in the correct forum...

I have talked to various sources including my internet service provider and router manufacturer. I think we have determined that my problem is this:

When I ping IP addresses, I lose no packets (440) for example for www.google.com, however when I ping URLs, they do not go through (404). I get the error message from Firefox: "Server not found." My computer will not take any of the DNS numbers people have provided me with in attempts to fix this problem.

I suppose this is a DNS error. I am running Windows XP. FYI: I may appear semi-computer literate since I've been talking tech-support for the past 24 hours, but I'm really not. If you have any ideas, please keep tech-speak simple if possible! Also, I am avoiding speaking with the manufacturer of my laptop since my warranty is expired and they will charge me for support--any ideas would be appreciated, just point me in the right direction! THANK YOU!

I have been seeing too much blue in the last 2 days. I think I have zeroed in on the problem. But am not able to fix it.
I have divided my post into the following parts:
1) First Occurance
2) Pattern observations
3) dmp files
4) Steps taken
5) Current Status
6) Laptop info

1) First Occurance:
I shut down my laptop at night 2. Started it next morning at around 8. Started seeing the blues since then.
- I did not download anything new.
- System update did not run when I shut down the system. So new updates were not installed
- When I shut down, I had a bunch of unclosed chrome tabs and some Folders open. Autodesk Maya 2012 was the last program running. I closed this prior to shutting down.
- I had not shut down the laptop in some 36 hours.

2) Pattern observations:
-BSOD happened each time even before I could log on, in the Windows welcome screen
-No BSOD in SAFE Mode.

Welcome to seven forums, mcvijay! Thank you for the detailed post and .dmp files, these make it much easier to address your issue.

First, are you using the correct driver? You mentioned that there are two available from Lenovo so installing the wrong one may be an issue worth investigating.

Also, when you say "master switch" are you talking about a physical switch on the laptop? In many cases, this switch will also control the bluetooth radio which I noticed you have from looking at your specs. You may also want to install the latest version of this driver from Lenovo.

I need software that allows random parallel lines to be made equidistant from one another for a Logo project. Also, arcs but not necessarily circles.

I tried Word 2007 but there are not enough reference lines to ascertain whether everything is parallel, equidistant, etc.

Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.

I have had need to do some drawing in WORD and it has been the first time I had to do it extensively in WORD2002.

Unlike 2000, when I go to add a feature like a line or arrow or box, I get a window that says: CREATE YOUR DRAWING HERE

It is annoying to me and causes grief - probably cause I don't know how to use it right - and I want it to go away. I can actually take a drawing from that window and just place it on a page like in old WORD. And I discovered that after the window appears if I ignore it and put my arrow where I want - the window will just go away.

Does anyone know if there is an option to make it quit appearing and just let me draw an arrow wherever I want whenever I want without that stupid window popping up?

So basically, my computer just randomly shut itself off this morning, after being turned on for about 15 minutes. An attempt to turn it back on prompted the lights on the front to light up, then go off, as if it tried to boot, but couldn't.

Now this happened a few weeks ago, and the problem seemed to be my PSU had given up on me. Buying a new PSU solved the issue, but these are exact same symptoms.

I never had this problem with my old system, which was equipped with a Geforce 8400GS. My new system is something of a monster, and I bought an 8800GT factory OverClocked edition to complete the package. After transferring the PSU from my old system to my new one to power my 8800GT, things were fine for a few weeks until the PSU died, which I assumed was caused by the insane power requriements of this card.

When buying a new PSU, I made damn sure that it could handle my card; a CiT 650watt PSU with Dual 12V rails, 20Amps on the first rail, and 19 on the second. A few weeks passed and everything worked beautifully, but I fear the same problem has occurred again. I tried removing the card and testing the PSU with less hardware to power but it still fails to switch on.

My question is, could this card be faulty in some way, drawing much more power than it should from my PSU, causing it to burn out, or more accurately, heat up at a rate that causes the fan to begin grinding its balls along the floor, because both times it has sounded like the fan is trying to blend concrete, an... My current internet security will expire in 2 weeks. I have tried various solutions offered from the Kaspersky forum, but no luck.I would like to know from you guys which Internet Security suite I should buy from these 2 AV's in terms of overall protection:  Bitdefender Internet Security 2014 or Norton Internet Security 2014.I have used a trial version of both of them for 2 weeks each,  and found both of them excellent, but unsure which one to go for.

A:Bitdender 2014 vs Norton 2014, which one should I buy?

I actually tried them all and i am in the IT field for 12 years, but for home use i chose GData.
Bitdefender is good, i was pleased but i tested Gdata and it detected many things the other ones i had did not so i chose it and bought a license last month for my home laptop.
I tested BitDefender for a few weeks and it was great until I had a weird bug with manual scan, it used to detect viruses on a n external usb drive but would not clean them, i mailed support and it got stuck somewhere in their pile of bugs.....so i decided not to purchase it.
With Norton for home i am not familiar but Symantec endpoint for business is super aggressive if you do not know how to set it up correctly....
Now that i think of it, my dad used to have Norton, he liked it. But for some reason he switched to Kaspersky....Maybe because he is Russian ;-))

I spent way too much time to find out why my X1 Yoga 3rd gen would switch PowerPoint to slide show mode when I flipped the screen over. I scanned through all settings in PowerPoint, and applied my best GoogleFu. I went as far as searching for the following query: ("prevent powerpoint from switching" OR "stop powerpoint from switching" OR "powerpoint automatically switches" OR "powerpoint automatically starts the presentation" OR "powerpoint automatically starts my slide show") ("slide show" OR "presentation mode") tabletNo luck. It's annoying behavior though: when I'm preparing a presentation I often switch to tablet mode to add a sketch on the slide. Every time I do that on my X1 Yoga, I have to poke the pen at the screen to activate the PPT overlay buttons, try to hit 'exit slide show', acknowledge that no, I don't want to save the stray mark that I just made, and go back to the slide that I wanted to annotate. It's a pain.  It finally hit me today: if the machine does something weird and there's no evidence in the UI why, it's probably a Lenovo thing! (sigh) Lo and behold, if you open Lenovo Vantage, go to Hardware Settings, and then to Smart Settings, there it is.. "switch to the full screen mode on supported apps when your computer changes the operating mode". To Lenovo: this is great, but it's also VERY BAD to change the way how Windows works without telling the user that it's Lenovo doing it. Please add a UI overlay saying "hey, we started your pres... Read more

Does anyone use any free off the internet circuit software that they can recommend?

all I want is something to allow me to draw circuits on screen and print them out, maybe there is a paint type program that has all the components that can be dragged and dropped to build the circuit?

If it has the facility to see the circuit working - then all the better but primarily all I want is to draw the circuits on screen.

For the past week I have been trying over and over again to install SolidWorks 2014. However, it gives me a registry error.

"The Installation Manager encountered an error when creating this registry key: .

You must have administrative permission when running the Installation Manager. Check the permissions for this registry key using a registry editor or consult the system administrator."

The thing is, I have administrative permission, and I have even use the "run as administrator" option. Nothing works. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium. I have tried several different install disk. It gives me the error code 1406 in the installation logs. I have googled it, nothing works. I have even posted on the SolidWorks Technical Support Forum, and they can't seem to help either. I will post a screenshot of the error. Can anyone help me?

I have been playing DKSPORTS ActionBaseball via netplay for two versions of the game.  In the 2013 version, I was able to host games and also play with another person as the online host with no issues.  Since loading the new 2014 version of the game, I am able to HOST games but every time I try to play with another gamer hosting, I am able to connect to their IP, they are able to start the game, but when the game reaches the point where ROSTERS are to come up, I get "RUNTIME ERROR 52" ... my opponent says they are on the Roster page.
My configuration is WINDOWS 7 with all the latest updates (thought 5/15/2014)  I am not playing via WIFI but am connected direct to the Cable Modem.  My internet provider is Suddenlink.   I run the program as an Administrator.  I have checked my WIndows Firewall and it is passing the info, I have Kapersky Internet Security but have the FIREWALL OFF when attempting to play.
What has me and the folks at DKSPORTS scratching our heads is.... I can always play as the HOST.  I don't have a connection issue it seems since I can always get the game connected.  AND, I didn't have the issue with the 2013 version of the game.
Are there Windows settings or security items that might be causing this?  Perhaps the Kapersky programs could be causing the issue, but wouldn't they cause them whether I was hosting or someone else is?
