Q: Major Problem: Tablet Pen not working/reversed


The problem I am having is on my Fujitsu t4220 tablet with Vista Business 32bit.

My pen started acting funny the other day and when I would write the letters would run together. So an i would look like an |, for example. It was almost like I was writing in cursive.

That problem hasn't resolved I don't think because an even larger problem has emerged.

My pen has reversed itself for some reason. The eraser is now the pointer and the pointer doesn't even work unless I hold down one of the buttons on the pen.

I just installed some new Wacom drivers, I tried the 5.07 and the 5.10 version. I don't know if they are now conflicting or what.

But I am unable to think of anything else to do. I even tried using my Bamboo pen on my tablet from my desktop.

Should I just run the Fujitsu recovery disc and put on a clean copy of windows? Any help would be appreciated, but I'd need directions on how to do the specific help tips anyone would post.

I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

I have a Gateway CX2618, w/ windows XP tablet edition 2005 version 2002, sp2. And wanted to wipe it clean and reinstall just the things I use. Plus my Tablet side of things hasn't worked in a long time and I was hoping the clean install would fix that.

But my recovery DVD isn't working (could be user error). I DO have apps that I need to keep and I think I've backed them up to my external HD correctly.

Need lots of help, I don't want to get rid of this lappy cause I love its style, but I need it to have better performance.

I have upgraded my X201 Tablet to Windows 10 32bit. As far as I can tell, everything is working, including the WACOM drivers and touchscreen.  Wireless has worked perfectly so far, not sure about Bluetooth as I don't use it. My only issue is that the buttons on the display do not work. The power button located on the display does work. I tried installing the Tablet Button Driver II and it will go through the install but the buttons do not work.  This is the download link:http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds027627 The document claims Windows 10 compatability and was Last Updated :08 Jun 2015. On inspection, all the files extracted are dated from 2012 and when trying to manually run the software Windows throws up an error that the software is not supported on this PC.   I removed and reinstalled and noted that the driver information page when running the installer does NOT have Windows 10 listed as a supported system. My assumption is that the driver that they have linked on the download page is NOT the most current driver and is infact the driver for Windows 7 from 2012. Does anyone know how to contact Lenovo to get the correct driver posted to the page, or know of an alternate source to try and find it?

Hi there,
I asked a question a couple of days ago BUT unfortunatley I got no reply so Im trying again but with added details.
Im haing a problem with my computer (please see profile) whereby I cannot download ANY files, off the internet, off of e-mail etc etc.
The computer lets me go throught he process as normal and actually starts the download BUT it always hangs on the final 1 second where the computer is displaying the verification window. This is causing me a MAJOR problem at work so could anybody PLEASE offer me a solution as to what may be causing this?

I had the (refurbished) XPS 12 Convertible for about 10 hours now and I am scared of what I have seen so far and what there is to come.
1.  WiFi connectivity gets lost/broken very often and/or stuck in 'Limited' status (no connectivity).
2. WiFi always is disconnected after closing / opening the lid and often times is unable to get signal back (or takes long time 3-7 minutes) for the signal to return. I have made the appropriate setting adjustment for windows not to cut power to the WiFi Card when in sleep mode, and also set the power settings to Maximum Performance. No luck.  I have installed all of the latest drivers from Dell and, with support, also tried the Intel (more updated) drivers for Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6235. No luck. Update to new Bios, still no major improvement. After hours with Dell support, it looks like they will send someone over to replace the WiFi card.
I was hoping that was it and that's the only issue I'd deal with. But wait, there is more:
3. Track pad is odd. I am not doing anything fancy, I just want to use it as a courser and left/right mouse click. Sometimes it is totally unresponsive, you have to move your hand off of it and try again for it to register that you are touching it. Sometimes it ignores left or right mouse clicks as if they never happened.
4. Screen brightness a mind of its own too. I have set the screen to be on Maximum brightness in all conditions (power & battery) and have disabled any dell o... Read more

I am trying to figure out what could be wrong with my laptop screen. Here is what it looks like http://imgur.com/aYaHco8

The LCD was recently replaced. I had this immediately after replacing, but only on boot and not in windows. I replaced the old screen with the dead pixels and it did the same thing as the new screen. Now i have the issue present in the OS as well. I began troubleshooting and accidentally shorted the motherboard. Now I've replaced the motherboard and the LCD cable, but unfortunately the problem persists.

Is this sort of problem indicative of a particular issue? GPU, LCD, connections?

You could try connecting an external Monitor to the laptop, if it shows a normal display then at least you will know the laptop's graphics chip is ok.

ok so i accidently left my laptop on over night last night, got up to opened it and the screen was black. turned it off and turned back on again to get this message:
No bootable devices--strike f1 to retry boot, f2 for setup utility, f5 to run onboard diagnostics'

i pressed f5 and let it run, everything passed accept the hard drive with this messgage

HEY GUYZ, i have a problem, everytime i go on a website, it says those certificate errors and i also cant access my usual chess server to play chess . the server tech said its becuz the date and time is set wrong but i have checked the date and time on the system system tray icon and its perfectly right and i also looked under the system setup ( pressing F12 at boot menu) to try and change/reset the time but when im about to, the date and time is correct so i didnt change it.

I got my hands on a used (kinda old) tablet PC (Fujitsu C-500) that I was able to put WinXP on. It has side keys on it, like a number pad and other things like volume control, and brightness. These work fine, but I can't get the tablet to recognize that I am using the touchscreen itself, even though the other side keys are attached via the touchscreen. It didn't come with a stylus, and I have found a website online to purchase a replacement stylus, but they only sell them in a pack of 5.

First of all, will purchasing a new stylus enable me to use the touchpad itself? And second, is there a generic driver for XP that would allow me to use the stylus or other pointing device (such as a finger) as a "mouse"?

I have a windows 8 quantum view tablet. It was taking ages too get charge and sometimes the screen just goes black. On the charger is a power setting for volts I turned it up and now my tablet won't come on the light on the charger is blinking instead of a full blue light and the light on the tablet does the same any ideas if the batterie is gone or what can I do

You might have a universal charger if it has a volts switch. My brother told me a friend of his bought a
universal charger and he bumped the voltage up too high and it fried the battery and charging circuit of the laptop. My Tablet mode and touch screen are not working for this product. I tried using it for the first time today and have not been able to find any information about how to troubleshoot this problem on my own. One of the reasons I bought this laptop is because it was supposed to be touch screen as well. The salesman showed me the same laptop on display the NoteBook 15 and turned the tablet mode on and was able to use the touch screen and pull up a touch keyboard. Once I turn tablet mode on I can find the touch keyboard and use my mouse to pull it up but the tocuhscreen itself is not working. Anything I can do?

I got my new graphics tablet today. A hanvon graphicpal. I installed the cd and went to configurate the tablet but once i click the .exe file nothing happens. I downloaded another driver and when i click the configuration icon now i get a windows prompt saying "run a cpl legacy elevated". I have no idea what to do anymore. Even when i try opening from system32 nothing happens. Ive uninstalled and reinstalled the driver about 20 times now. BTW im using a an asus laptop i made sure the system requierments are met.

Dodocool 3 usb 3.0 + ethernet + PD 2.0.So when I plug it in and only charging works. Sometimes if I boot with it windows might reconginize it but it could also give error 43 in device manager.Microsoft seems to have a solution but driver update via windows is disabled. How can I change that?

Hi! I tried searching to see if this was already covered and didn't find anything, but maybe it is and I didn't see it. So my Y70 touch screen isn't working, which I enjoy using cause this thing is huge and it's faster with some things. Tablet mode is on, I have Windows 10, it was working a week or so ago. I've finally had time to investigate today. What would cause this to happen? Could updates have installed and done something strange? Thank you!

The USB port on the tablet portion of my Helix has stopped working.  It does not work with any device now. It was intermittant for awhile and then stopped completely.  Uncertain if this is a software issue or hardware and if hardware how does one change the USB port? I have checked all drives and updates BIOS, etc.

The keyboard stopped working this morning. It lights up but after 5 seconds the backlight turns off and all keys are non-responsive. The tablet asks to go into tablet mode when I separate it so it does recognize the keyboard is plugged in

i have just bought a tablet for my x64 vista laptop. Since vista by default support tablet, thus i was hoping to make full use of it. But after installing the driver for my tablet and using it without problem, i tried to launch the tablet input panel in vista but nothing happened. it just won't launch. Hi, I was given a pro tablet 408 active pen to use with my HP Pavilion x360 13-u062sa by an assistant at PC World. He told me that these were compatiable, but im having trouble switching it on and linking it to my laptop. Hello to everyone! My problem is that after the last update of Windows 10 my grafic tablet stopped working. When I conect it to the notebook it just flashing with inegrated light and doesnīt work. When I try to install a new tablet driver the system asks me to connect the tablet, and when i connect it nothing happens like the system doesnīt see it.What I did is to talk with manufacture of the tablet, they recomended me to have the newest update of windows and install new drivers from the tablet (which is imposible for now) and also they told me to download a last version of  usb driver of the notebook. But thereīs nothing new in the section of drivers for my notebook. I downloaded ThinkVintage 5.07.0059, but itīs still the same.Also I tried to disconect all the gadjets and connect only the tablet, still nothing.There is no any previous driver of the tablet installed in the system. Basicaly before it was working without any native driver, just with drivers that set up windows in the first conection (plug and play). Ah, also I tried to downgrade the last windows update, but itīs like some bug is still there and now doesnīt give a permision to the tablet. My tablet is Xp-Pen Star03 in case. Thanks to everyone for any suggestion.

After ages of searching, i found one driver for XP for my pablo tablet. since kbgear went outta business they ended production so there were only win9x drivers. Now the driver works ok to use it as a mouse, i can go to the control panel and modify my tablets settings. (i can set what the button does and make it work like a mouse) The problem is, i wanted to use it for pressure purposes (eg harder i push down larger it is or thicker color). In photoshop cs, the pressure doesnt work. Now the pressure also doesn't work in GIMP for Windows. I don't know if my driver supports pressure but i'd like to find out and i want some help.

Some time in the last month, the tablet function of my X201 Tablet PC conked out.  I'm running Windows 7 (32 bit).  Perhaps there was something wrong with some driver update that was installed either through Windows Update or through the Lenovo Thinkvantage stuff.  I never managed to figure out what was wrong.  I tried installing various updates and drivers from both those sources, and from Wacom, without success.  I couldn't find any thread on the internet that discussed exactly this problem or suggested a solution.  It was a frustrating week! I seem to have solved the problem, though.  Through Control Panel -> Uninstall programs I found and uninstalled everything from Wacom, and all of the "Ultranav" driver stuff from Lenovo.  Altogether there were 6 or so things that I uninstalled.  Then I reinstalled Wacom's tablet driver (ISD Tablet, version 7.1.0-8), and then pen's back, and, indeed, working better than it ever has (the alignment calibration has been terrible since I bought the machine).  I haven't reinstalled the Ultranav drivers, and will probably refrain from doing so. I hope this helps the next frustrated Lenovo tablet user.

@Enginestechie?, Thanks for posting back.  I understand the frustration.  However the notebook was designed with an operating system in mind and when you upgrade to another OS there are always bumps in the road and this has been the case for ever.  Keep an eye on the hp support site for updates and releases for Windows 10. Thanks again for the post and have a great day.

First time user here, So I bought a Thinkpad X61 tablet online with Windows 10 (64-bit) installed. I tried installing multitouch drivers from the support page and Wacom's site, rebooted so many times after installing them but to no avail. Using the stylus nor the buttons on the monitor aren't working. Then, I uninstalled them. Do I have to downgrade to Windows 7 in order for it to work? Or what else should I do to get the touchscreen working?

There won't be Lenovo drivers for windows 10, so you are sort-of on your own with that model.  Are you saying that the stylus isn't sensed or that the screen doesn't rotate?

Hi. I have a thinkpad x1 tablet 2nd gen with 1.32 ver of BIOS. When I place the projector module and I turn it on, only the Lenovo logo appears and it does not happen there.I configure the application to clone the screen but nothing happens.

So this is a new tablet only 2nd week ownership and I am disappointed with the dock keyboard.  Initially it did not work when plugged in so I updated Win10 to Apr 2018 release with all Lenovo updates applied.  I also removed the keyboard from Windows Device Manager and had it re-detected.  After all that the keyboard appeared to work properly.  Well it has stopped working again.  Very disappointing.  It doesn't look like its all hardware problem as when I plug in the backlit keys do show.  But thats all it does.  Keys don't register, trackpad doesn't work, trackpoint same issue.  I don't know if its an driver software problem or hardware.  Any guidance?

I received a new large Wacom Pro last week, and since then, my life has been hell trying to get it to work.

Something specific to my Windows 7 machine is blocking the computer's ability to detect the tablet's driver, causing it to work erratically, be detected as a HID mouse, have no button detection, and have no pen sensitivity whatsoever.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers off the Wacom website several times and even replaced my Wacom Pro, but after getting it to work with no problems on other machines (after getting rid of KB3004394 on them, which confused the issue I was having), I've narrowed it down to this computer specifically.

I've tried different USB ports to no avail. My dinky little wacom Bamboo Pen installs right back in just fine on the same USB ports, so it can't be a USB hardware issue. The drivers that I download and the drivers Windows 7 downloads seem to be okay, and are probably why my tablet works at all.

This is what I think the problem is: something in Win 7 seems to be blocking the driver in the USB connection itself. This is due to me getting the error 'THE TABLET DRIVER WAS NOT FOUND' when I try to go into Wacom Tablet Properties. I've got no way beyond that to troubleshoot the problem, however.

Possible suspects:

- Around 11/12, my computer decided it was not genuine. I can't remember what I did that finally got rid of this error, but I think the Check Disk OS scanner that can be accessed through the disk properties menu. Up... Read more

A:Something in Win 7 blocking Wacom Pro tablet driver from working

Sounds weird... Looks like new drivers for USB devices are not a) installed correctly or b) installed, but windows cannot find them.

Have you tried uninstalling the Bamboo Pen drivers, this drivers, and then reinstalling the new drivers? Sometimes that tends to fix this kind of issues. If this doesn't do the trick for you, revert to an old restore point before 11/12, then try to install drivers. That BSOD is not normal... maybe reverting to the old restore point can fix both your tablet issues and the BSOD itself...

I own a Fujitsu TH700 Tablet PC. It initially ran Windows 7 and everything was working really well on it, but then I upgraded to Windows 10 (I was curious) and some features just have not worked properly since. The one problem that I have been unable to fix is the touch screen. When the computer is in its "laptop position" (see image) the touch screen works just fine. However, when I rotate the screen and click it into the "tablet position" the touch screen becomes completely unresponsive. When I lift the lid again into the "laptop position", the screen remains unresponsive until I put the computer to sleep and wake it up again. After that, it works completely fine.

When the laptop screen is turned and clicked into the "tablet position", there is a programming shift that happens to turn the laptop into "tablet mode" (this is not the same as Windows 10 tablet mode. In-fact, Windows 10 tablet mode doesn't recognize me turning the screen and clicking it into the "tablet position"). I'm not sure what the differences are between the TH700's laptop mode and tablet mode. The only thing I can see is that the screen auto rotates (as shown in the image).

The speakers for my dell XPS 8500 computer and my dell latitude 10 tablet stopped working on the same day. My computer speakers had been plugged into the monitor and working fine since I got the computer a few months ago. Both the desktop and tablet run windows 8. I have tried dell tech support, but they can not seem to figure it out. I am concerned that since both went out on the same day it could be related. One reason I feel that it may be a single issue is that on one occassion (when I first setup my tablet) my tablet stopped responding and my desktop monitor entered and would not exit standy mode at the exact same time. Since both of your computers are Dells, did Dell support have you run their online diagnostics for your system hardware? The online diagnostics are very much like the PC Doctor based Dell Diagnostics that are likely already installed on both of your Dells. The advantage the online diagnostics have is that they are often more detailed and more up-to-date.

If you don't have a lot of time, you could start by running the sound system tests.

Both your desktop and your tablet have Realtek audio, ALC3800-CG for the desktop, ALC3261 for the tablet. A feature of Windows 8 is a background service that functions as an Automatic Update for drivers . . . So, possibly both of your computers received a sound driver update on the same day ... or possibly a recent Windows Update arrived on the same day that just happened to affect your sound drivers.

I'll guess that you've already tested for sound with a pair of headphones on each computer?

On this laptop, you can fold back the screen to be used like a tablet.  My problem is that once I do that and use it as a tablet, when I then fold it back normally and want to use the keyboard, the keyboard doesn't work.  Any ideas of what is wrong?

HP Split x2 13 m010dx (PC and tablet in one), Windows 10 Home systems automatic tablet mode switch does not work.
Also tried clean install of Windows 10 Home and upgrade from Windows 8.1 but non of them worked.
Normally the capture device, or or just "pulling smoothly."
In neither case automatically switching to tablet mode does not work, although It has been set.

I replied in a another post also, sorry for that.. But I hope this post get's more attention. I just bought a x220 Tablet but my touchscreen doesn't work at all. I bought de computer with  Windows 10 installed on it. I just used WacomhardwareCheck and it gave the message: 'your hardware does not appear input capabilities and is not currently supported by the Wacom FEEL driver'.So, does this mean my touchscreen is broken and doesn't work? Is there a hardware problem? How can I see if the touchscreen is registered by Windows?it would be great if someone could help me to get this thing working... I think the touchscreen makes this an interesting machine...

This is the video driver version for my HP tablet(HP Website). But unknowingly I installed the latest version( from NVIDIA through Windows update. And from that time onwards, my touch screen stopped working. It is not recognizing my stylus/finger.
I contacted HP care and they advised me to follow these steps.
1) Uninstall the latest driver and install the 11.5682 driver
2) Bios Flash
3) Calibrate
I am done with the first two steps but still my touch screen is not recognizing the pen. So I couldn't calibrate.
When I contacted the HP care again, they are telling it may be because of hardware failure. My notebook is working perfectly except this touchscreen.

Please anyone help me to solve the issue.

Add/Remove Programs -> Remove only display adapter

After reboot, still it is asking me "Do you need to overwrite the files?

So I recently purchased a ThinkPad x1 yoga (2nd gen), and this is only the second time I'm using it. Yesterday, I was able to get it to switch to tablet mode and the screen also rotated fine. Now, I can still switch to tablet mode, but the track pad is staying active for some reason, and the screen won't rotate to portrait mode. This is really inconvenient, because I want to take notes on it!! Anyone have a solution?

Hello, i have an Yoga 11 rt, which has a Problem. The Touchscreen has no Function when the Device is in Tablet Mode.  Touchscreen turns off at 180 Degrees, also Keyboard and Touchpad (which is normal i guess). I also remembered there was an Lenovo App which controls that. Bud i dont have that App anymore.Ive also Reinstalled (repair via Windows update/recovery Menü). But the App does not show up. Any Ideas?

I have to unplug and plug it back in several times before I can get the buttons to work. It takes even longer for the pen to work, and when it does it's only detected when I push down full strength. It's seldom detected when lightly pressing or hovering above the tablet screen, like it should and used to. I don't know what's wrong with this damn tablet, it used to work PERFECTLY. Then one day it stopped, and I've been having problems since. The last time I could draw something was about a month ago, and I even had (less severe) issues w it back then. This is just so frustrating.

I have the latest (v9.0, July 2014) drivers installed from the description of this specific tablet.

I am not terrible w technology, especially when I have instructions. Usually I can figure out problems myself. I guess I'm better at messing w mobile devices...
EDIT: When the pen does work and pressure sensitivity is detected, it doesn't lasy long. Whenever I try to draw in Paint Tool SAI it's verry jittery and lags quite a bit before stopping altogether.
