New Yoga 700-141SK: Ran the Lenovo Support Center Hardware Scan and the Video Card Mathematical Operations Test has failed rendering the Report: WVC007002-UL7BPL. Is there a tried and proven solution out there? I have had a look at the solutions on the forum and am not satisfied that the solutions offered prove that the problem has been resolved. It is reasonable to expect Lenovo to make available a solution as a matter of course instead of end-users of "afflicted" Lenovo devices having to request/search for a solution(s).

i have new notebook, ideapad 300 that installed windows 8.1, i see in device manager > display adapters there are 2 vga, intel hd 520 and amd radeon r5 m330, if i play game amd radeon isn`t detected just the intel hd 520 and it doesn`t have catalyst, so how the amd radeon can apply and i can play game with amd?

So basically, I just got this laptop (well about a month ago) and ever since the third day, at completely random times the screen goes blacklit. I have no cursor control or keypad control, i changed all the sleep settings to never and nothing seems to be working. I have to completely restart the laptop to do anything again. On the reiliability report it usually says windows stopped working or was closed unexpectedly. Other than this problem, there is literally nothing wrong with it, it works perfectly fine I am very frustrated as I bought this laptop for university  Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi  We have purchased a Lenovo Yoga Laptop on 20.01.17. From 10th of April onwards , there is some issues with Laptop Power Button .We are not able to switch it on using power Button. We had a talk with call center executives, Senior Executives & service Head of Kolkata, but still there is no proper update. Since you have to hunt around different Lenovo sites (and other sites) to find out about these softwares, I decided to make a post to get feedback from actual Yoga owners on how these programs interact, what they do, which ones are prerequisite, and which ones are unnecessary. Please don't take this as a blanket answer. This is just what I have found. It might be right - it might be wrong. I'm looking for others to post their experiences as well. Lenovo System Interface Foundation Driver - Necessary prerequisite (missing driver in device manager without it). It allows the Lenovo Utility and Lenovo Companion to work. Lenovo Yoga Mode Control - Necessary if you want to use your yoga to seemlessly change between all the different modes (laptop, tablet, tent, stand). This software is responsible for autorotating and putting Windows into tablet mode. Lenovo Utility - Recommended(?) This one I'm not too sure on. I remember that I was missing some function that I wanted but I can't remember what it was now. Maybe battery cycle count and health? Lenovo Companion - I don't have this one installed and don't think it's necessary but would like someone else to shed some light here.

Hi My Lenovo Yoga 13 has stopped taking a charge. It happened about two days ago and has not charged since. I even took it to a local Best Buy and attempted to charge it with a different charger but no dice.I'm pretty sure I need to set up an RMA to send it in but I have been stuck on hold with Lenovo for 1 hour and 15 minutes now without any kind of response. I'm hoping someone on here can offer some assistance. I have a  Lenovo Yoga 710 (IdeaPad), a few weeks ago I was working on it, and suddenly (and with NO reason) it died, so I sent it to the Repair center 3 weeks ago because its NEW, and still in warranty. I've reviewed the repair status several times, but the last update was on July 31st, and it seems that the part needed to repair my machine is unavailable. I use my PC on a daily basis and it is really affecting my work/studies (I'm a PhD student)! Moreover I'm finishing my Fellowship in the US en returning back to Argentina by September 15th, so I really, REALLY, need your help! I've phoned several times to the Lenovo service center, but nobody gave me a helpful answer. What can I do to get my PC back before my flight date?

I have a Lenovo Ideapad Yoga 13, which came with an i5-3337U processor, 4GB RAM and 128SSD. I replaced the ram with http://www.integralmemory.com/sites/default/files/uploads/dpdf/IN3V8GNAJKXLV.pdf as I often found that 4gb wasn't enough. My laptop is now running at about 60 degrees celcius for each core. I don't know what it was before as I hadn't measured it before, but the fans sound louder. Have i installed ram that isn't compatible or something? It runs well and multitasking is now better, it just seems louder and hotter than before. Thanks in advance.

Hi everybody, I'm looking for a solution to draw/take notes on my lenovo yoga 13. Laptop's screen is capacitive, no digitizer, so I'm wondering what kind of stylus/pen can work with it. I'd like to have a pen with pressure sensitivity, but based on my research I couldn't find one that works for sure.Is there an active pen with bluetooth that can actually write on this screen? Or any active pen for that matter?Otherwise I'm stuck with those lame capacitive pens that are everything but accurate, even the bamboo solo doesn't work with it.Any ideas? I am having some problems with the battery on my Lenovo Ideapad Yoga 13.  I have searched the forum to find a mountain of topics with problems similar but not quite the same.  I have also tried a lot of the suggestions to resolve the issue but none have worked so I guess i have to start my own thread. My Lenovo has been working fine (well has fine as could be expected with these machines) up until last week.   I had been using the machine in work without issue and put it into the car (fully charged) to take home.   When i went to use it again a couple of days ago I plugged in the charger as normal and turned it on, only to find it completely dead.   The power machine didnt turn on and the power button didnt illuminate.   My initial feeling was that i may have accidently turned the machine on while in the car and this had drained the battery.   I also thought that perhaps the power supply was faulty so I bought a new one. When i tried the new power supply it was the same result as the original, (not turning on and no illumination on the power button).    I went back to the original power supply, this time there was a fan noise (although the machine did not turn on), and the battery indicator flashed repeatedly orange (which i believe means the battery is below 5% and needs charging.   So i left the oringal power supply plugged in overnight to charge.   Next morning the battery indicator was still flashing repeate... My laptop, as stated in the title, is making random noises. I have no idea what the source of the noise is. It is random, with no clear pattern. It sounds like a low pitched "Duh" sound. It happens randomly, such when I was typing a document or browsing the internet. It was going on for quite a while in the past day. It seems to have disappeared for the time being, but I have no idea what was causing it. Has anybody experienced this before or know what the source is? Thanks

My Lenovo Yoga 900 has a cracked screen. I called Lenovo and the rep that I talked to told me they don't do repairs and told me to take it back to Best Buy or to another computer repair tech to have it repaired.   Best Buy said they couldn't replace the glass and neither could the tech that I took it to. This seems absurd.  Why would anyone pay over $1200 dollars for a laptop that can't be repaired if needed?  I'm at a loss, I don't know what to do and I want it fixed.  Does anyone have any suggestions? I just find it very hard to believe that Lenovo won't repair their own merchandise.

Who did you call?  If you have a nearby Lenovo Premier dealer near you, you might carry it in.  It certainly can be replaced.  (It might be expensive.) The manual indicates that the entire assembly (hinges, lid, etc.) are replaced as a unit, but I'm sure it can be taken apart, but I I have never done so I cannot describe it.  I have done similar models and they took less than 1/2 hour.  My guess is that it simply snaps together, but as I said, I haven't done it so I don't really know.

I'm running the latest version of Windows 10 (Anniversary Update - Build 14393.693) clean installed on  a Yoga 2 Pro (20266 / 80AY) BIOS 76CN43WW. The "Lenovo Yoga  Mode Control" version 2.0.0.9 (ymc.exe) has consistently crashed every day for the last few months. Crash reports are logged. Unfortunately my Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 13 Laptop has gone faulty just a month outside my two year warranty.  After being inspected this has come back as being customer fault as it is the centre pin in the power connector that has been bent that has caused the issue.  However Feel that this is a very poor design and that for an item at this price point that it is not fit for purpose.  Also when I was speaking to a work friend they had bought the same item only a few months before me and had the exact same fault.  I have since done done a small search and seen this same issue has been raised on a few forums over the last few years.   I was was hoping to get a view on how common this was and if you have been able to resolve.  If anyone else has had this issue please can you let me know and also how long you had the item before the issue began.  Many thanks

Hello all, I purchased a Lenovo Ideapad Y700-17ISK part # 80Q00011US, and according to case manager assigned to my case, 100 days ago. The notebook was mis-represented by a sales rep, and when I got the machine and it didn't have the second hard drive bay in rear of machine, which I was told the 80Q00011US had. The machine also had a mild display issue, but rather than report it and spend 2+ weeks without a machine, I ignore the issue. It didn't affect daily usage anyways. So 10 days ago, the machine dies during a reboot. Seems the MB fried. I have been fighting and waiting (mostly waiting) for over a week for a case manager (Crystal) to contact me, which finally happen @ 7:30 AM PST yesterday. The case manager was not customer friendly, refused the replacement or refund options I requested, stated they would ONLY repair the system. Her cause for "rejecting" those options was because I didn't report the display issue in the first 30 days (I have enough exp. (35 Yrs.) in computers to know a bad spot in display is NOT going to fried a MB). Conservation got heated. I refuse the repair option because I know what they will do is replace MB & Display, and return other parts back to the machine (parts that very well could have been damaged when MB died, leaving me with a US$1,300 refurbished machine). Hello, I only found out after purchasing the Y510P laptop that it for some strange reason does not support 5Ghz networks, only 2.4Ghz. This results in me having insanely slow connection every single night around peak hours (7-11pm), and I'm unable to do anything like watching movies, playing games or download stuff. Does anyone know exactly how to upgrade the wireless card on this laptop so it supports 5Ghz networks? Do I have to go out and buy another wireless card, or is it software upgrades like drivers only? I'm not a computer major so a walkthrough would be appreciated. Thanks.

In their ARK description, Intel admits that they support `vt-d` virtualization technology on i7-6700HQ Processor. But nowhere in Bios (version E5CN56WW), it has mentioned on how to enable it. The only related configuration seems to be named Virtualization which is enabled, but I can't confirm it by enabling IOMMU on my Linux kernel (nothing appears in `/sys/kernel/iommu_groups/` folder). So I wanted to know if it supports this virtualization technology and if yes, how I can enable it? Thank you

Hi, I bought my Lenovo Yoga 11e from Amazon. The specs of this laptop is 2016 model, 128GB SSD, 4GB RAM, Windows 10 64bit. I recently ran the Samsung Magician software and also Crystaldisk info software. It showed that the SSD is only running at 1.5Gbps though it is capable of SATA 2. The reason I did this benchmark on the laptop was because I frequently heard some noise from the speaker when steaming a youtube video. There seems to be some bottleneck with disk IO or maybe CPU. Memory is definitely sufficient for 4GB. Anyone has information how to upgrade to the SATA 2 interface would be greatly appreciated. I checked device manager that I am running the standard ACHI interface which I suppose comes with windows 10. Thank you!

so our yoga 2 13 crashed - due to a bad hard drive.  in looking at the pages and pages of entries on this forum regarding hard drive failures in these machines i find it incredible that Lenovo doesnt do something.  When i called, i was told - too bad, you are out of warranty we wont do anything for you.  My response is that I will never again buy a lenovo product and will go back to Dell - i have Dell laptops that are 11 years old and still running, unlike my just out of warranty $1000 Yoga laptop.  such garbage they put out.

I am totally disappointed in Lenovo's customer support. My lenovo 710s was bought less than 1 year ago (as of 10/6/2017, when I sent it in for repairs) and had 2 years warranty (1+1 year of extended warranty). I sent my laptop for repair due to a white spot issue on the monitor, affecting viewing of webpages and videos. However, the laptop was returned after 3 weeks without any fixes/repairs, as Lenovo claimed that it was a cosmetic issue. I wrote a message on their customer care website on 3/7/2017. However, they ignored me and there was no reply to date.  I thought Lenovo is a reliable and popular brand. However, it turned out to be a horrible decision, much to my dismay!

So everything has been working fine on my laptop until about 10:30PM EST tonight. I bought it new in August 2011.
Specs:
 
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium
CPU: Intel Core i7-2630QM @ 2.00 GHz
RAM: 8 GB
HD: 750 GB
BIOS: 45CN36WW
 
It's always been a fine machine with NO problems.
However, last night there were Windows 7 updates that were installed and then restarted my computer. I had not gotten a chance to check exactly what they were though. About 10:30 this evening, flash crashed in Mozilla Firefox which is not that uncommon, and from there Firefox closed, and so did my Microsoft Word and Excel apps that were open. From there, my computer began to shut down and restart. When it went to restart, all it could do was go to the opening Lenovo screen which gives you the F2 (setup option) and F12 (multiboot menu option) as it typically does. Besides a thin strip at the top that appeared after about 30 secs that only displays moving static that eventually will just stick, that is where the boot process ends. No Windows 7 screen, and certainly no opportunity to boot into safe mode to check for any problems. The screen freezes and goes nowhere.
 
So basically, all I'm getting in terms of boot options are lenovo features, not windows 7 features, meaning it won't boot into windows 7 or windows 7 safe mode no matter what I try. The biggest problem here is that I have no windows 7 disc to even try to boot from my dvd drive.

Are you able to get into the advanced boot menu by tapping F8? It might not be listed on the startup screen but it should still be there.
 
If not you can burn a repair disc from any PC with Windows 7. Theres steps from Microsoft Here.

Does anyone know the functions of the Lenovo Utility app? I am aware that it flashes up with an on screen symbol when the caps lock or num lock is pressed but what else can it do? I only ask as I want to disable it in order to stop the on screen notification that caps lock is on from appearing everytime I press the key. However I read somewhere that the app also handles the battery management and don't want to disable it if it will harm my pc. When I go into details in task manager it just appears as Lenovo Utility. So can I safley diable it? or will it cause an issue? Thanks

Just a heads-up: I bought this Lenovo Yoga 13 Ideapad in 2013, so it's out of warranty. Proceed to read my problem..... I always get a black screen whenever I shut off my laptop and turn it back on again, which is why I lock my laptop instead. But when I DO lock it and get back on it the next morning, I encounter the Black screen of death and instead of my lockscreen immediately appearing like normal after I lock it and have left it overnight & try to get on it, I have to shut down my laptop and turn it back on because my laptop won't immedately take me to the lock screen so I can log into my computer.  Today (March 17, 2017), I had to shut down and turn on my laptop while pressing the rotation button button or the OneKey Recovery button (the button with a circle and a line going through it; I don't know exactly what it's called, but I think it's the recovery button OR the screen rotation button, on the right hand side of the computer: If anyone knows the name of this button, please let me know!)..I tried this 5 times and It wouldn't turn on. The 6th time pressing the Recovery button OR the screen rotation button on the right side of the laptop (whatever it's called), it did work and now I'm on my laptop typing like normal. But this Lenovo Yoga Ideapad 13 only works when it wants to. I have some problems with the Lenovo software. Lenovo Account Portal does not launch Lenovo Companion and Lenovo Settings. Also, Lenovo Solution Center is missing from the Start Menu. The second problem is that some tiles are blank in Start Menu. Seemingly it's the apps that aren't Metro. I'm not sure when the problem started, but I think it was like that since I got the PC. If I right click the apps, the only option will be "Pin to Start", and with some apps: Share and Rate. A:Lenovo Yoga 910 wont load pass the Lenovo screen.

Try getting into BIOS first and loading default settings. To do this, press the small "Novo" button (you'll need a paperclip for this), and select "BIOS setup". From there, use the arrow keys to get to the "exit" tab and select load default settings.

My son accidentally got his leg caught in the cord of his laptop when he got up and the laptop  fell approximately 2 feet to the tile floor.  It boots up but stays on the Lenovo splash screen.  If I go into the BIOS and select System Recovery it goes through the "Loading files..." process, the Lenovo splash screen appears with the dots going in a circle but, then after about 2 minutes of that the screen just goes black.  If I tilt the screen forward or back I can tell it is still backlit just with nothing to display.  Anything we can try?

I bought the Lenovo yoga 900 in December as i was about start medical school, now after only about 6 months of use, while i was using it one evening, i decided to take a break from school work, when I got back to my computer it had powered down and tried to reboot but didn't make it pass the Lenovo screen, i tired exhausting the battery power and trying it again but to no avail. so my question is has anyone had this kind of problem before and if so what is the solution?Also is this a common problem and how long is the company warranty for my 6 month old computer, in case i need to give it back to get something more reliable, its kind of disheartening as i had believed this was the best decision i made for medical school, but now am left with the possibility of failing the semester due to faullty equipment. SOOO PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP ME SAVE MY SEMESTER. Thnak youjay

A few weeks ago I saw the Lenovo K430 on NewEgg while shopping for a new Desktop. I was amazed by the K430?s features and great looks. However, after doing some research I became very baffled about the Power Turbo Switch and the many horror stories about upgrading the graphics card. I called Lenovo Technical Support to talk about possibilities and get advice about the graphics card, a woman answered the phone and informed me she had no idea or information about graphics card; but she recommended I speak to Sales. I was transferred to sales and they too informed me that they knew nothing about the computer or graphics card. I decided to call B&H Photo, the name sounds deceiving but they really are the best with support. The Technical Support told me if I really wanted a great computer I should think about building my own. So today, I embarked on the journey to build my own computer and I want to say thank you to Lenovo. If it wasn?t for Lenovo's extremely bad Tech Support and Sales I would not have built my own computer. Lenovo you are so terrible and clueless, you have inspired me, you have driven me by showing me your lack of knowledge and sense of awareness, the idea that a company has a sales and tech department that knows absolutely nothing about their own product. Hello, I bought lenovo yoga 500 14 ISK on January 2016. After 1,5 years later i aware that there is some problem on the left bottom side (near the hinge) than one week later i saw that screen and back lid seperated from left bottom side and when i look at in i saw that the screw hole is broken from inside and the screw is not tightening the back lid anymore. And my pc never dropped. It is under 2 year warranty and after i sent my pc to Turkey technical service, they said that your actions are completed and when i see the pc right side is broken. First of all i do not want to take back but they said that you can not take pc back so they force me to take my pc. day  by day crack is going bigger and bigger. When i called technical service they said that me (laughing) i forced the pc lid which is 360 degree. and also they said to me opening the lid from only one side causes this problem.  It is not written anywheere taht "dont open lid from left or right side" . I used 7 -8 years lenovo and also2 years work pc laptop Lenovo in very hard conditions and there is no even 1 problem. But my latest pc is falling apart day by day . Not a laptop anymore because opening lid will make my pc not work soon so lid is always open. I need Lenovo center help because people in Turkey unfortunately doesnt help for money.
