Q: Lenovo Ideapad Yoga 700-141SK Lenovo Support Cente...

New Yoga 700-141SK: Ran the Lenovo Support Center Hardware Scan and the Video Card Mathematical Operations Test has failed rendering the Report: WVC007002-UL7BPL. Is there a tried and proven solution out there? I have had a look at the solutions on the forum and am not satisfied that the solutions offered prove that the problem has been resolved. It is reasonable to expect Lenovo to make available a solution as a matter of course instead of end-users of "afflicted" Lenovo devices having to request/search for a solution(s).

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

So basically, I just got this laptop (well about a month ago) and ever since the third day, at completely random times the screen goes blacklit. I have no cursor control or keypad control, i changed all the sleep settings to never and nothing seems to be working. I have to completely restart the laptop to do anything again. On the reiliability report it usually says windows stopped working or was closed unexpectedly. Other than this problem, there is literally nothing wrong with it, it works perfectly fine I am very frustrated as I bought this laptop for university  Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Since you have to hunt around different Lenovo sites (and other sites) to find out about these softwares, I decided to make a post to get feedback from actual Yoga owners on how these programs interact, what they do, which ones are prerequisite, and which ones are unnecessary. Please don't take this as a blanket answer. This is just what I have found. It might be right - it might be wrong. I'm looking for others to post their experiences as well. Lenovo System Interface Foundation Driver - Necessary prerequisite (missing driver in device manager without it). It allows the Lenovo Utility and Lenovo Companion to work. Lenovo Yoga Mode Control - Necessary if you want to use your yoga to seemlessly change between all the different modes (laptop, tablet, tent, stand). This software is responsible for autorotating and putting Windows into tablet mode. Lenovo Utility - Recommended(?) This one I'm not too sure on. I remember that I was missing some function that I wanted but I can't remember what it was now. Maybe battery cycle count and health? Lenovo Companion - I don't have this one installed and don't think it's necessary but would like someone else to shed some light here.

Hi My Lenovo Yoga 13 has stopped taking a charge. It happened about two days ago and has not charged since. I even took it to a local Best Buy and attempted to charge it with a different charger but no dice.I'm pretty sure I need to set up an RMA to send it in but I have been stuck on hold with Lenovo for 1 hour and 15 minutes now without any kind of response. I'm hoping someone on here can offer some assistance. My Lenovo Yoga 900 has a cracked screen. I called Lenovo and the rep that I talked to told me they don't do repairs and told me to take it back to Best Buy or to another computer repair tech to have it repaired.   Best Buy said they couldn't replace the glass and neither could the tech that I took it to. This seems absurd.  Why would anyone pay over $1200 dollars for a laptop that can't be repaired if needed?  I'm at a loss, I don't know what to do and I want it fixed.  Does anyone have any suggestions? I just find it very hard to believe that Lenovo won't repair their own merchandise.

A:Can't get support for Lenovo 900 yoga

Who did you call?  If you have a nearby Lenovo Premier dealer near you, you might carry it in.  It certainly can be replaced.  (It might be expensive.) The manual indicates that the entire assembly (hinges, lid, etc.) are replaced as a unit, but I'm sure it can be taken apart, but I I have never done so I cannot describe it.  I have done similar models and they took less than 1/2 hour.  My guess is that it simply snaps together, but as I said, I haven't done it so I don't really know.

Hello, First of all - I am angry and I will not hide this. Polish Lenovo 3rd party support actually makes me sick of whole company, below, short story how Lenovo brand from "recommending to everyone" turned into "do not recommend at any circumstances".  I bought a Yoga 910, paid in poland 6700 PLN which after currency exchange to USD is almost $2000. Reason for this was mainly - I trusted that if I buy it, OOBE will be great for years. Turned, I was totaly wrong.  Few days after I bought this laptop, my screen started leaking pixels, on bottom right side, there were leaked pixels to the point that after long usage, especially under charger, whole right side of the screen had big color lines, right where taskbar icons were. I have send this laptop to RMA, after a week I got it back and here the extreme disappointment begins: - Screen rotation sensors were dead- Tablet mode was dead, keyboard was normally working when I tried to use it as a tablet- Hinge connecting screen and body is loose, half of the elements move, in short - in terrible state I have sent is again to RMA as service complaint stating all of above. What have support done: - Fixed sensors- Didn't fix the hinge, it is in even worse condition now- Laptop body was dirty, I had to clean up some weird red fluid from it- Camera is broken to the state that hardware managment shows it as a simple PC Camera with hardware ID of..... an chinese USB stick. I have a Lenovo Ideapad Yoga 13, which came with an i5-3337U processor, 4GB RAM and 128SSD. I replaced the ram with http://www.integralmemory.com/sites/default/files/uploads/dpdf/IN3V8GNAJKXLV.pdf as I often found that 4gb wasn't enough. My laptop is now running at about 60 degrees celcius for each core. I don't know what it was before as I hadn't measured it before, but the fans sound louder. Have i installed ram that isn't compatible or something? Good day and welcome to the community.Sorry you're having difficulty.
Since you can't get into Windows to (re)start the recovery/restore process, you might need to do so from the Boot Menu as described on page 23 of the user guide: https://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobiles_pub/ideapad_yoga_11_ug_v1.0_may_2012_english.pdf

I've never seen or used a Yoga 11 / Windows RT model, but you could try pressing Fn+F12 when you see the Lenovo boot splash screen to see if you get the Boot Options menu described. I don't know if you'd be given any options to retain any files or settings from this kind of restore/recovery, so please use caution.

Hope this helps you a bit.Regards.

I've reviewed the repair status several times, but the last update was on July 31st, and it seems that the part needed to repair my machine is unavailable. I use my PC on a daily basis and it is really affecting my work/studies (I'm a PhD student)! Moreover I'm finishing my Fellowship in the US en returning back to Argentina by September 15th, so I really, REALLY, need your help! Hello all, I purchased a Lenovo Ideapad Y700-17ISK part # 80Q00011US, and according to case manager assigned to my case, 100 days ago. The notebook was mis-represented by a sales rep, and when I got the machine and it didn't have the second hard drive bay in rear of machine, which I was told the 80Q00011US had. The machine also had a mild display issue, but rather than report it and spend 2+ weeks without a machine, I ignore the issue. It didn't affect daily usage anyways. So 10 days ago, the machine dies during a reboot. Seems the MB fried. I have been fighting and waiting (mostly waiting) for over a week for a case manager (Crystal) to contact me, which finally happen @ 7:30 AM PST yesterday. The case manager was not customer friendly, refused the replacement or refund options I requested, stated they would ONLY repair the system. Her cause for "rejecting" those options was because I didn't report the display issue in the first 30 days (I have enough exp. (35 Yrs.) in computers to know a bad spot in display is NOT going to fried a MB). Conservation got heated. I refuse the repair option because I know what they will do is replace MB & Display, and return other parts back to the machine (parts that very well could have been damaged when MB died, leaving me with a US$1,300 refurbished machine). I then requested to speak with her supervisor since I was tired of being BS-ed, only for her to claim there was no-one higher to speak to, and her actually hang... Read more

Hello, I only found out after purchasing the Y510P laptop that it for some strange reason does not support 5Ghz networks, only 2.4Ghz. This results in me having insanely slow connection every single night around peak hours (7-11pm), and I'm unable to do anything like watching movies, playing games or download stuff. Does anyone know exactly how to upgrade the wireless card on this laptop so it supports 5Ghz networks? Do I have to go out and buy another wireless card, or is it software upgrades like drivers only? I'm not a computer major so a walkthrough would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi shynepo3,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

The Flex 5-1470 (Type 81C9) Laptop / part number 81C9000CUS must be a M.2 NVMe SSD.

OEM recommended M.2 SSD listed here PCIe-NVMe for model 81C9.

Hi, I bought my Lenovo Yoga 11e from Amazon. The specs of this laptop is 2016 model, 128GB SSD, 4GB RAM, Windows 10 64bit. I recently ran the Samsung Magician software and also Crystaldisk info software. It showed that the SSD is only running at 1.5Gbps though it is capable of SATA 2. The reason I did this benchmark on the laptop was because I frequently heard some noise from the speaker when steaming a youtube video. There seems to be some bottleneck with disk IO or maybe CPU. Memory is definitely sufficient for 4GB. Anyone has information how to upgrade to the SATA 2 interface would be greatly appreciated. I checked device manager that I am running the standard ACHI interface which I suppose comes with windows 10. Thank you!

I bought my wife a brand new Yoga 920 for Christmas in December 2017 for 1,299 dollars plus tax.  It was blazing fast. Set up was so smooth. The computer operated flawlessly. Best computer we have purchased in years. Only 4 months later, April 19th, when we tried to wake the computer up, it would not start. They keyboard backlights and power button would just flash. That was it. The screen stayed dark and nothing would happen. I called Lenovo support and they had me run through some basic troubleshooting and eventually told me the laptop had a hardware failure and I would have to send it back to them OR I could just bring it to a local Best Buy for repair. Since Best Buy was only 5 miles from my house, I brought it there. Only to be told by Best Buy that they don't repair them and they had to ship it to Lenovo anyway.  It took a month to get it back. So for a month we were without the computer. Then when we got it back, it was filthy. Scratched up, covered in greese and dirt. When I opened it up, there were hairs and food crumbs on the keyboard. The touch screen was covered in greesey finger prints that looked like they were just rubbed across the whole screen. It was disgusting. See pictures of the laptop below.  Furthermore, when we booted it up, it was slow. I mean SLOW. All our of documents were gone and the drive was wiped. I am having some problems with the battery on my Lenovo Ideapad Yoga 13.  I have searched the forum to find a mountain of topics with problems similar but not quite the same.  I have also tried a lot of the suggestions to resolve the issue but none have worked so I guess i have to start my own thread. My Lenovo has been working fine (well has fine as could be expected with these machines) up until last week.   I had been using the machine in work without issue and put it into the car (fully charged) to take home.   When i went to use it again a couple of days ago I plugged in the charger as normal and turned it on, only to find it completely dead.   The power machine didnt turn on and the power button didnt illuminate.   My initial feeling was that i may have accidently turned the machine on while in the car and this had drained the battery.   I also thought that perhaps the power supply was faulty so I bought a new one. When i tried the new power supply it was the same result as the original, (not turning on and no illumination on the power button).    I went back to the original power supply, this time there was a fan noise (although the machine did not turn on), and the battery indicator flashed repeatedly orange (which i believe means the battery is below 5% and needs charging.   So i left the oringal power supply plugged in overnight to charge.   Next morning the battery indicator was still flashing repeate... A:Enter Bios Lenovo Ideapad YOGA 11

Hi coucoune1633 ,

Welcome to the Lenovo Community.

To enter the BIOS , turn off the pc and use the Novo key (item1 page12) to power on .
Novo menu would appear offering BIOS set up (for changing boot options etc. )
System recovery option from one key recovery initial back up would delete everything and restore to factory defaults.

About booting to safe mode:
Since starting with Windows 8 and up , usual F8 on boot is deeply embedded on the recovery making it hard to access.

If Windows cannot boot to a viable stage for to access advance recovery menu :

1. Shift + F8 works on some system , do it at same time you see the lenovo splash screen repeatedly.

2. Forcing recovery mode on windows 8 : turn on then suddenly turn off pressing the power button , then on and off again for 2-3 attempts , Turn on and see if recovery screen would show up for the advance option.

3. Some system have F11 / F12 on BIOS to launch the recovery / boot option

4. Using a bootable media ( USB rescue image often useful for repair / back up  , using Windows media creation tool  )
If Windows 8/10 does not start: (using the command line)
How to boot into Safe Mode from the Windows 8/10 installation media or recovery USB flash drive.

What do do you think?Does it support support pens or not?The Wacom Bamboo Ink compatibility list does not say any specifications about the 520 14", so it could work with every yoga 520 14" device, right?Thank you for your help!
