I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Having trouble here would be super grateful for your help. I connected one external monitor to this alptop but failed in connecting a second monitor to it. My Ideapad 720s is a 4k laptop and so are both my external monitors. When I connected the HDMI cable into the USB port on my laptop the monitor was VERY blurry! So I was forced to use this adapter to plug the HDMI into it and the adpater pligged into the USB-C on my laptop. This is the adapter I used: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/j5creat...?skuId=5930600 So that adapter worked to connect one external monitor but I wasn't able to get a 2nd monitor to work sucessfully. I don't know what I'm doing wrong? Thanks for any input!

Hello,  I've got a problem with my newly bougt Lenovo Ideapad 500 14ISK. It randomly displays signs of shutting off/overheating. The screen turns black (not off but just like its not receiving signal) an de audio stops working. Only solution is to force shut off the laptop and restart.  I bought the new laptop two monts ago. Of those two months i'vo only had the chance to work on it for a few weeks due to this problem. I've read the forums when the first problems started acting up.  I've installen the new intel drivers, did a bios update, did a full system sofware and hardware check, and obviously found no problems. After giving up and returning it to the store, they said it should be a hardware issue, if the laptop just radomly shutts of (like overheating). It took them three weeks to send my laptop back.  Once i got it back, i read the reppair report, and guess what? they didn't found any hardware issues, so they installed a clean version of windows and did a bios update. After working on it for an hour in the universities library the laptop turned black again.  So if anyone can give me some advice that would be greatly appreciated, since the repair man of Lenovo also don't understand my problem.  Some info;doesnt matter if battery power or net power.Doesnt matter which programs i am using, it will juust randomly shut off. I did the intel upgrades listed on Lenovo's forums and the latest ones, still the same p... Hey there, Both hinges of my Ideapad 300-14ISK are now broken after 6 months of light use. The right one started to freeze after less than 2 months from the purchase date. It has resulted in breaking the LCD cover as a result as I opened or closed the lid. About a month later, the left hinge did the same. I can't open or close the lid at all now. I am now looking for a replacement for those hinges since I gave up on trying to resolve this with the support team although it is still in the warranty (however I bought it from outside the US. They're claiming that's why they can't help me). The Lenovo website has 2 parts for the hinges for this model but I can't understand the difference between them. First one is "5H50K14044 - HINGE L+R LIMR L300-14IBR" while the second one is "5H50K14032 - HINGE L+R L300-14IBR". I can't figure out the difference between both parts. The only difference in the name is the "LIMR" word in the description of the first one. Does anyone understand what the difference between both parts is? Thanks!

Good day everyone,I just recently bought a new laptop which is a lenovo ideapad 110-14isk. When I booted it up, I noticed that it can't respond quickly so I opened task manager and saw that disk usage is always at 100%. I observed the laptop for a few days and found out that windows update was slowing it. I disabled the Windows Update Service, and when I rebooted it, the disk usage is at normal levels. So my question is, how can I update my laptop? and is there any way to use Windows Update without the laptop lagging? Hope you can help me. Thanks in advance.

I am experiencing strange mouse pointer behaviour after my laptop has been running for a while and a program is working in the background. The mouse pointer is displayed in a very low resolution, while jumping up to another part of the screen. So usually, the mouse cursor looks like this:  But when the problem occurs, it looks like this (and jumps up to another part of the screen):  As mentioned, the problem only occurs after my laptop has been running for a while (this may take a day, but sometimes only an hour) but when it does, it keeps occuring untill I restart. This has been happening since I bought the system about two months ago. System: Lenovo ideapad 510S14ISKOperating system: Windows 10 I already tried:- updating my drivers (using Lenovo Companion)- reinstalling windows (while keeping my files)- uninstalling Lenovo System Interface Foundation as recommended here- unchecking the box "enhance pointer precision", also as recommended here The problem occurs both with my external mouse plugged in and plugged off. Any ideas what might be causing this problem?

Maybe related to this issue, maybe not: I also noticed a strange resolution in a few other places. For example, in the image below you can see that the text in the left box is displayed much sharper than that in the right box.  This occurs also after my laptop has just restarted and is of course much less anoying. Nonetheless, I thought it would be interesting to mention as the two issues might be related.

Hey everyone, My Intel HD graphics 520 driver continuously crashes and basically shuts down my computer. The power button/keys are still on, but I just get a black screen (with some light behind it), as if it is in sleep mode, and I cannot wake up my computer anymore. The only solution then is to just force it off by holding the power button and restart it. I feel it happens at random, but it seems to occur more often when I'm playing a video or something (although that may just be a coincidence). I've had this problem for a long time and have tried several times to reinstall or update the driver. Because I got so fed up with it I just disabled the driver and used the NVIDIA Geforce 920M driver, which works sort of fine with the only big disadvantages that I can't increase or reduce the brightness of my screen anymore and can't run certain programs/games properly. So, therefore, I'm still looking for a solution.  Can anybody help me out?

Hi, I tested and posted my results few years back: port replicators and/or dock which is DisplayLink certified can do this. Your machine dows not have docking port therefore you have to use USB port replicator (many vendors also call them as docking stations). HP has few products such as:     http://www.displaylink.com/newsroom/press-releases/displaylink-powers-latest-hp-3005pr-usb-30-port-r... Regards.

I have a Thinkpad P50 which is relatively new.  I did have it connected through the Lenovo port replicator to two monitors using display port cables.  The Video suddenly went black, and no amount of undocking, docking, and rebooting would get the montors to reconnect.  I tried to connect directly from the laptop to an external monitor tha had previously worked using a hdmi to VGA adapter, but still no external video.  It will not detect any external monitor connected to it and using FN F7 does not allow me to duplicate or extend or connect to an external device.  Any thoughts?  Could some driver or setting be disabled?

You answered your own question. Common Mobile graphic cards only support 2 displays any given time, be it internal+external or external+external.

Common low to mid-high NV or AMD cards do the same.

Only the new Haswell will support 3 monitors in the case of Intel.

EDIT: You could also try a USB to VGA adapter for the 3rd monitor.

A:Tecra Z50 - need to connect two external monitors

Hi

I don?t think that you will be able to connect two external monitors to this notebook using the HDMI and RGB port simultaneously due to different kind of signal.

The RGB/VGA port supports analogue signal.

The HDMI port provides the digital video output and when the external monitor is connected to the HDMI port the display out device is set to HDMI.

> *Hi-speed port replicator III is not an option since it is not available in my country (Croatia).
How about the Dynadock? Its an external device connected to the notebook?s USB port.
It supports own graphic unit and you could connect another 2nd external monitor to such Dynadock.

What resolutions and refresh rates are supported for external monitors (HDMI) on the Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro i7 (59428032) Specifically, I'm looking at the Samsung 28" 4K Ultra HD Widescreen Monitor (U28D590D) [3840 x 2160] I've hooked up to my HP w2408h monitor (1920x1200) with mixed results (mostly unacceptable).  Most items (icons, images) appear quite large and cropped.  For some applications (such as the View/trim preview window in GoPro Studio) appear to be cropped to about 1/4 of the image (if you imagine an image split into 4 quadrents, only the top left is visible). I had hoped that I could use the Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro both as an extremely portable notebook and a desktop (when connected to an external monitor, keyboard & mouse).  I'm beginning to doubt that this will work.

A:Supported external monitors on Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro

While i can't offer any insight on a 4K monitor as i dont have one myself, I can tell you that is works perfectly on a 25" monitor at 1920x1080, and everything looks perfect, exactly as it is when connected to my desktop. I'd suggest that after connecting the external monitor you enter the resolution settings, make sure the second monitor is set as 'Extended monitor' and that the resolution for it is set to its native resolution. Aside from that, if you're working with the Yoga's native resolution (3200x1800), then you probably have the DPI set to 200%, which will also affect external monitors, making some things look pretty bad. There is no magic solution for this case, either drop the resolution and lower the DPI, or.... as much as i hate to say it... get used to it... sorry. I personally dropped the resolution on my yoga and lowered the DPI, so i'm good both with the yoga screen and my external monitor when at home.

Hello all, As the Yoga 720 15'' has only one Thunderbolt port, with no other ports for connecting more displays, I'm looking for a solution for connecting two monitors through this single port. The problem is that the Thunderbolt 3 to dual DisplayPort adapters do not seem to be working on this laptop for some reason according to threads on this forum. (although it has the appropriate hardware I suppose?)I saw a solution using the Lenovo Thunderbolt Dock, but it's quite expensive... I thought to myself: suppose I have two monitors that supported DisplayPort daisy chaining, could I use this ability and connect them to the laptop? Connecting one monitor directly to the laptop, and then connecting the other monitor to the first one using daisy chaining. Like so:Yoga -> Thunderbolt to DispalyPort adapter -> Monitor 1 -> DisplayPort -> Monitor 2.  I couldn't find any info about this method (only that it is possible on the XPS 15 which also has Thunderbot with two lanes only...)  Have someone already tried this method? Or could try it? (pretty please... )Or could at least tell me if it is possible? I'm really looking forward to buying this laptop and this is the main reason that stops me...  Note: I am aware about the bandwith limitations. I plan to use only two 2K displays. Thank you!
