Selenium server terminates with Unexpected status SERVICE_PAUSED

Q: Selenium server terminates with Unexpected status SERVICE_PAUSED

Attempts to install Selenium Server as a service (using nssm) in Windows 10 fail with

Unexpected status SERVICE_PAUSED on nssm start selenium-server

Selenium is selenium-server-standalone-2.53.0.jar. nssm is 2.24. OS is Windows 10, 1511, 32-bit.

Event viewer says

Service selenium-server ran for less than 1500 milliseconds. Restart will be delayed by 16000 milliseconds

The objective is to run acceptance tests of a Symfony application using codeception. PhantomJS has been abandoned as it does not accommodate javascript popups or jquery dialog boxes.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

While repairing a friend's PC I installed an up to date AV and removed a virus that was found but the remianing problem is that the PC keeps rebooting after about 20 mins due to DCOM Server Process Launcher problem. I have used the shutdown -a from the command prompt to halt it from rebooting while I work to resolve the issue. There seems to be some sort of browser hijack object working as well because while doing searches in Google to locate info to resolve, when I would click on a link it would carry me to sites other than what I chose. Four days ago, when attempting to check email on my computer ( IE ver.
6.0.2; outlook express), my emails stopped loading at the count of 20;
it still stops at 20; with the date of those emails 4days before.
Message says *your server has unexpectedly terminated connection*
with *possible causes* being *network problem*,*server problem* and
*long periods of inactivity*. I am not on a network and I check email
various times thoughout the day, therefore not inactivity. The old Jan. 24th emails prior to #20 still load on OE, but are repeated 4 times. I went to the cox.net webmail site but they do dot have the file I want to delete. Tried changing load time to 5 minutes to create less *inactivity*, but still got same message. I would appreciate any information or guidance on how to get my email going properly again.
Thanks a lot,

If I close the box it goes away but eventually another box pops up saying windows has to restart.

And it gives me a minute.

If im not connected to the internet when I close the first box the restart doesn't happen.

I have also been noticing for a couple of weeks now that when I'm online, and I click on a link that I get redirected to other sites and I have to go back and try again to get where I wanted to go.

I have tried numerous programs and have found various trojans and other things that the programs say are bad, I have removed them but it has not fixed the problem.

When booting my desktop computer I get a windows boot manager black screen with” File:\boot\BCD Status: 0xc00000e9 unexpected I/O error has occurred” message. If I boot to CD/DVD using my windows recovery disk and select keyboard US, I get two options: Restore using system image or use recovery tools. When I select system image and next, no image is found. When I select recovery tools, I am asked to choose an operating system. Now my problem is no operating system is listed. What can I do now to recover my system? My hardware has checked out ok and I suspect something in windows 7 has messed up. Any suggestions? In troubleshooting, I replaced the suspect hard drive, installed windows 7 and the computer works great. So how do I recover my original hard drive?
Update: Booting to installation disk and running startup repair results in Root cause found: The partition table does not have a valid system partition.

A:boot\BCD Status: 0xc00000e9 unexpected I/O error

Solution: I bought a new 500 gb drive and installed windows 7/64. The computer booted and operated normally. This verified the hardware end. I then installed the suspect drive and the windows installation disk in the dvd drive and booted to the dvd drive. This brought up a boot menu and booted to dvd and this brought up a repair menu notifying me that there was a problem with the boot partition. It asked me if I wanted it to repair the problem. I selected yes and then rebooted the computer to the suspect drive and all is well. From now on, I will always clone the drive so as to have an instant duplicate backup.

Hi Guys
Hope someone can help please...
Was trying to clean up friends ADVENT QUANTUM 200 Laptop (2Gb RAM/250 Gb HD win 7 Home Basic 32 Bit).
Removed Norton AV and restarted.
Ran Ccleaner and restarted.
Ran MBAM (Malwarebytes) and found 8 suspect items.
All was fine and system was running quicker than before.
Then just as I was unplugging mains electrical supply I noticed a number of Win updates that needed to be applied, so I left laptop on table to install new software updates and shutdown.
On returning from work this evening I booted laptop to find:

File: \Boot\BCD

Status: OxcOOOOOe9

Info: An unexpected I/O error has occurred.

I cannot access Windows at all...a black screen just appears and the two choices it gives: ESCAPE=exit or ENTER=Continue, just returns me to the same screen after a few seconds.

I have tried continually pressing f8 on bootup, pressing f8 once etc - No change

Any suggestions please.
Many thanks

I do OS image deployments for customers on multiple platforms and multiple languages on multiple OS's. I'm now begining my deployment for Windows 7 and have hit a major stumbling block.The above error happens at the end of my installation when running 'bcdboot.exe d:\windows'As far as the install goes it is a self generating HDD install system. 1. Four partitions are created #1 is the 200mb System, #2 is the OS partition, #3 is the WinPE boot partition for the image build set as active, #4 is the imaging files location.2. Upon boot of the image install the system sets partition letters for installing using diskpart.exe.3. An interview using an HTA file starts up asking Name, Language, Timezone, and location.4. Using an WMI call to the baseboard I get the SYSID so that the right driver set can be applied.5. Once the user selects Ok in the HTA interview screen the imaging is all automated. 6. The very last thing that I do before rebooting is call bcdboot s:\Windows (because is the actual driver letter at the time of the windows install, I've also tired using 'D' but it doesn't work either) then I remove the extra partitions and set the #1 partition as active then reboot.This system works fine under my windows XP install and the only real difference is the 200MB system partition. I've tried varying the sequence but it doesn't seem to matter. Any ideas?Thanks for the help,Randall Dale

A:BFSVC:BcdOpenSystemStore failed with unexpected error code, Status = [c0000098]

I do bcdboot after the image is applied. Me thinks your bcdboot is failing because wrong partition is active at the time of bcdboot.My workflow is:1. Wipe the disk2. Create 200 MB partition. Assign letter. Active. Format3. Create partition ocupying the rest of the disk (or smaller). Assign letter. Format4. ImageX. Source is network share. Destination is partition 2 (D:)5. bcdboot d:\windows6. Reboot.It works for me.

OK so my computer has to cd drive so don't comment saying use a cd to fix the problem i dropped my computer now it has stopped working every-time i try one of those F8 options the computer loads it for 5-10 seconds then restarts

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
if this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen.
restart your computer.if this screen appears again, follow
these steps :
check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed.(i cannot check this because i do not know how)
if this is a new installation, ask your hardware of sortware manufacturer
for any windows updates you might need.
if ay problems continue. disable or remove any newly installed hardware
or software.disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing.
if you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart

A:windows boot manager status: 0xc00000e9 info:an unexpected I/O error has occured.

It sounds like the drop has damaged the hard drive, it is quite possible that the drive will need to be replaced, at the very least it should be scanned for surface defects.
Turn the computer on and press F8 repeatedly until the Advanced Boot Options screen appears.
If you are lucky the first option will be Repair Your Computer, slect it and press enter.
If the hard drive is not too badly dammaged it will boot into the recovery environment.
If you can't get this far you will need to find an external DVD drive to boot from to try repairs.
If you do managed to get to the System Recovery Options screen, click Command Prompt
At the command prompt type CHKDSK C: /R and press enter
Type  Y and enter if prompted to force a dismount.
The full disk check will take quite a while, once it is done restart and see if the system boots.
If it still will not boot, repeat the above steps to get the the System Recovery Options screen again.
This time click Startup Repair and follow the on screen prompts.
If a full surface scan and startup repair does not get it booting its probably time to look at recovering any data you need to save from the drive starting with a fresh install of windows on a new hard drive. That may be beyond what you want to do yourself.

Our server, running Windows 7 Professional 64bit as host for several Virtualbox guests, had a bsod last night, during the backup routine. This is the first time such a thing has happened since the server was put into production this March 2012. i thought i knew what this was, but apparently i don't. can anyone explain what the Transfer Status/Server figures represent in the WinMx Search window?

For example: 96 of 96 available. what is that? in the 'Who Is' window it reads that this particular person is sharing 4 files. So that shoots my theory of it being 96 files of 96 available.

A:WinMx Transfer Status/Server

I think it has something to do with thew queueing: IE I have allowed 10 files to be downloaded at one time. If someone is downloading from me, it will take *a spot*, making it 9 of 10 available.

I hope that's right!

I have a Belkin F5D7231-4P wireless router with built in print server, I have the printer setup & it prints, but I have no printer status such as ink levels, progress, etc.

I have a desktop which is connected to the router via a cable & a laptop via wireless & they both have the same problem. It's been the same with two different printers, the first being an Epson R300 & now a Canon iP5200.

I had to setup the printer through usb first then add a printing port to the router & when it was connected directly I had printer status. Does anyone know how to get the printer status showing again?

Thanks for any help

A:No 'Printer Status' on router/print server

I don't know the answer to your question; but have a question of my own. Do Epson and Canon say that the printer status is supposed to be available over a network for those two printers? I have an HP "network ready" printer and about the only status is 'connected' or 'not connected.'

Can I get help in finding the root cause of the BSOD?

I do not know how to analyze the MEMORY.DMP

A:Win7 x64, act as server, detect root cause of unexpected BSOD

Your reports have hinted at both drivers and hardware.
Use driver verifier to rule out drivers.
We will then test your memory if necessary
Driver Verifier
I'd suggest that you first backup your data and then make sure you've got access to another computer so you can contact us if problems arise. Then make a System Restore point (so you can restore the system using the Vista/Windows 7 Startup Repair feature).

In Windows 7 you can make a Startup Repair disk by going to Start....All Programs...Maintenance...Create a System Repair Disc - with Windows Vista you'll have to use your installation disk or the "Repair your computer" option at the top of the Safe Mode menu .

Then, here's the procedure:
- Go to Start and type in "verifier" (without the quotes) and press Enter
- Select "Create custom settings (for code developers)" and click "Next"
- Select "Select individual settings from a full list" and click "Next"
- Select everything EXCEPT FOR "Low Resource Simulation" and click "Next"
- Select "Select driver names from a list" and click "Next"
Then select all drivers NOT provided by Microsoft and click "Next"
- Select "Finish" on the next page.

Reboot the system and wait for it to crash to the Blue Screen. Continue to use your system normally, and if you know what causes the crash, do that repeatedly. The objective here is to get the system to crash bec... Read more

Hi Guys
I know how there is not supposed to be any discussions of p2p on the board but i noticed that if it were only being used for legal files then you were more leniant. Anyways, I'm using a bittorrent program and am only trying to get a japanese anime show that i always watch. I just formatted my drive and did a fresh install of windows and since then i havent been able to get anything (I have tried other files just to make sure that it wasnt just a problem with that particular torrent). I tried to get help from the tech guys there but they weren't sure... they said that it might be a problem with my networking, either on my computer on through my isp, but I can tell you that im pretty sure that my isp doesnt have a firewall or anything. I have a cable modem and I connect directly from it to my computer. I use windows xp Home. Whenever I try to download the file is gives me this error "Connection Error (SocketException : Unexpected end of file from server)"
Any help with this problem would be appreciated.

Hi all,

I'm getting issue in starting selenium. Actually my thread class has selenium.start() in run() method. So when I'm using below lines of code,

//some another class
class someclass{

ScrapeThread nidleThread = new ScrapeThread("nidleThread");
Thread scraper = new Thread(niidleThread);

as thread.start() method internally calls run() method, so in run() method of thread class only first two three lines of code are getting executed and when it executes comes to selenium.start() and executes, then selenium is giving issue in starting means I can see only two commands getting executed in command history of selenium remote and then getting struck there.

But when i m using below code and directly calling the run() method of my thread class

//some another class
class someclass{
ScrapeThread nidleThread = new ScrapeThread("nidleThread");
here it's working properly and I'm getting proper output as I want.

What could be the issue in starting selenium when I'm executing the thread in normal way i.e. by calling scrapper.start() method?

//in thread class
selenium = new DefaultSelenium(config.getHost(), Integer.parseInt(config.getPort()), config.getBrowser(), config.getUrl());
Thanks in advance

This is my first post and I must tell you that my PC knowledge is basic.
I have 2 problems.
The first one relates to an error when accessing the connections properties "an unexpected error occurred". I have tried a couple of things which did not make any difference, for instance:

Click Start, and then click Run.
In the Open box, type regsvr32 %systemroot%\system32\netshell.dll, and then click OK.
In the RegSvr32 dialog box, click OK.

Click Start, and then click Run.
In the Open box, type regsvr32 %systemroot%\system32\ole32.dll, and then click OK.
In the RegSvr32 dialog box, click OK.
Restart the computer

The second problem I have is about a pop up windows that keeps appearing saying " server busy", I have the option to retry or switch to (Cancel and x are unavailable). It seems that I only get this when I use Internet (it seems to happen when I use a p2p but I am really not 100% sure if this is the case).

I ran a wise registery cleaner 4 a couple of times when I get this last error but it still persistes.

Can you please help me? I have a "hijackthis notepad log for you but I am not sure where to post it.

Thank you very much

Are these Windows 7 pre-installed multiplayer internet games no longer being serviced by Microsoft? Internet multiplayer game servers have been in a state of unresolved network error since May 1, 2017.
Consumers of MS Windows 7 are familiar with Error Code 80041004 which means a "network error" communicating with the game server is occurring and nothing is wrong with their Windows product. Network errors are only resolved by Microsoft game server
IT Technicians. This post requires a response from a high-level MS Tech who is "in-the-know" on the status of the maintenance of MS game servers.
Kindly provide a status update. Thank you.

Not sure if this question belong in this part of the forum.
So recently our company has just installed a mandatory update that broke Internet Explorer in many ways and Selenium WebDriver is one of them. For more info, I'm using Selenium in C# and we are NOT allowed to roll back any mandatory update (only adjust parts
of GPL but we have to have compelling evidence). The last time we installed any update was on 04/22/2019, Last Windows 10 Security update that we got was KB4493478 and KB4493441)
So after the update happens, Selenium Sendkeys runs extremely slow on the website (1 letter per 1-2 seconds). Before that, we ran the same exact code on the same exact website and it ran fine. I tried looking up some additional help but to no avail at this
point. Any idea may help!
Thanks a lot!

Windows retrieved an update recently to update the firmware on the edge 2 laptops. Mine has been doing this same exact thing, however, each time at restart my battery has been below "the threshold" of 25 or 30% battery, I forget which. Next time you get a full charge, restart the computer instead of shutting it down, and hopefully should do the trick.

Just a few days ago my MCE 2005 HP laptop (DV9005us) started giving me the RPC terminating error. Google search turned up possible MBlaster trojan but cannot find any evidence of such as offered by Symentac, M$, etc., yet the "error" persists.

It really a nuisance. Using taskmgr I can restart and usually everything returns to normal and stays that way all day.

If I turn the laptop completely off for 20-30 minutes or more, the symptom returns. Less than that it operates normally.

Hesitate to take a chance fooling with the MBlastFix by Symentac. If it's not that I may be in even more trouble.

Have tried two sys restores and one image restore but sumptoms do not change.

Would appreciate some help on this. Hate to use HP's recovery system-- it wipes out everything.

Heres what happened

I downloaded the latest itunes version, and tried to install it as normal.

When it got to the last stage "copying folders" i think, it hangs, then i get this message:

C:\windows\system32\services.exe terminated unexpectedley with status code 1073741795, plus something about being actioned by NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM.

Now i have no itunes, plus i have restarted, done a registry clean and a spyware check, plus a system scan by my anti-virus, all to no avail. When i try and install itunes i still get the same problem.

Any ideas?

I have searched where some people have a similar problem but its a worm/trojan. Is this what I have.

As well as bit defender firewall, I also have my router firewall on.

I already posted a message hoping it wasn't a virus, bu I have been directed here, so here goes with the logfile:

I wasn't sure if this was the right board to post on but "am I infected" pretty much sums it up. The machine is running Windows 7 64, and it's an HP Pavilion dv7-4287cl. When I started working on the machine it was almost locked up and so slow it was unusable. I discovered there were six, free, security programs running. As I got rid of them one by one the machine got faster and now is usable but still seems clunky. With eight gigs of RAM I would expect more. Here's the rub, when I run MSE, either full or quick, it always kicks off when it reaches the same file. I've caught it with print screen several times so I know it's that file. Here it is right off of the monitor:

To me, the security program being kicked off is a strong indicator there's a virus present, plus it's still running slow for my tastes. However, I've run Combo fix, Malwarebytes malware and their rootkit programs, CC Cleaner, MSE, and Microsoft malicious program removal. So maybe I have a virus and can't find it? From what I've read about the appdata\roaming file it ties into a lot of functions and is dangerous to delete. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Rich

Since you ran Combofix... Please follow the instructions in THIS GUIDE starting at Step 6. If you cannot complete a step, skip it and continue.Once the proper logs are created, then make a NEW TOPIC and post it HERE. Please include a description of your computer issues, what you have done to resolve them, and a link to this topic.If you can produce at least some of the logs, then please create the new topic and explain what happens when you try to create the log(s) that you couldn't get. If you cannot produce any of the logs, then still post the topic and explain that you followed the Prep. Guide, were unable to create the logs, and describe what happens when you try to create the logs.It would be helpful if you post a note here once you have completed the steps in the guide and have started your topic in malware removal. Good luck and be patient.If HelpBot replies to your topic, PLEASE follow Step One so it will report your topic to the team members.

For anyone else experiencing the same problem, I have stumbled across a solution.It is not malware related After contacting MS and being advised to use the security scanner (http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/center/howsafe.htm), no virus issues were found.I preformed several reboots and in desperation installed IE 8. IE 8 produced the same error message but with greater details, the new error message hinted at there being a problem with aclayers.dll (under ModName in the Error signature).As this (http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/InternetExplorer/thread/d31b23f2-581c-43d2-b787-e6701dcc4e71) topic outlined, I deleted aclayers.dll from C:\WINDOWS\system32\dllcache and C:\WINDOWS\AppPatch folderIE was then able to load, however, it asks for the Windows CD to load the missing files. I supplied it and it immediately began exhibiting the error again.Through more digging, I learned that this error was associated with the Microsoft Update KB955759. See (http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?dg=microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general&tid=1fb65a01-5262-4f02-a4f1-01478723b44f&cat=〈=&cr=&sloc=&p=1) for details. I promptly removed this update using Control Panel and now it is functioning again...I now need only to go back to IE 6...I doubt this is now the best place for this topic, hope it helps those with this problem in the future.

Probably your best bet is to do a Repair Install which reinstalls clean system files back to the date of the disc you use to do the Repair. Be advised you need your Product Key and it will take quite some time after to do all the Windows Updates that have been released since the date of your disc.

She has no idea how to get to system32 so she hasn't deleted them herself.

I have tried repairing windows but it hasent worked
Also around the same time, on a different note, her web browser crashes every few minutes. (she uses Mozilla Firefox)
