Logitech quick cam zoom - no driver for Windows 7

Q: Logitech quick cam zoom - no driver for Windows 7

Just wonder if there is any way I can get my Logitech Quick Cam Zoom webcam to work with Windows & home premium 32bit ? I have looked on the Logitech site and it says that there are no drivers available for this device in windows 7. I guess this is a hopeless quest, but just to be sure I thought to check here.
Using Device manager in Control Panel I found this hardware ID corresponding to the webcam :-

USB\VID_046D&PID_08B4&REV_0003&MI_00

I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

Dear All:

While using my camera (in subject) in Matlab I have difficulty regulating its esposure rate. This is something related to the driver I downloaded from the Logitech site. I am told this could be fixed by using another driver for Windows XP, probably by a 3rd party.

Could you direct me at one I could use instead of the "official" one?

Thank you!

I have an older-model webcam, Logitech QuickCam Zoom, that I wanted to use for Skype. It's been years since I've used this thing, and I was trying to install it in my new(er) computer running Windows 7 x64. Logitech's official stance is that this device isn't able to run on Windows 7, but I've found multiple postings across the Internet who have made it work following the same procedure.

Logitech Quickcam Zoom working with Windows 7 | Hi, I'm Dan Cunningham

The only deviation I've made after following the posted instructions didn't work is that I use the drivers located at the following directory after installation:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Logitech\QuickCamWebInstall\Drivers\WinNew\PRO2

Long story short: I plug the webcam in, and the microphone works, but the camera does not, appearing under Device Manager as "Unknown Device." I'm told to use Device Manager to manually select the location for the webcam's drivers (right click Unknown Device, choose Update Driver Software). I choose "Browse my computer for driver software" and select the directory it's in (and all subfolders).

When I do this, the results screen says "Windows could not find driver software for your device."

How do I get Windows to recognize the contents of the directory I'm sticking its nose in? I feel like I'm house-training a dog at this point, and failing spectacularly. I'd rather not shell out a ton of money for a newer model of something I already have just for Skype. Any... Read more

A:Trying to install Logitech QuickCam Zoom, having driver issues

Hi MyaP, welcome to Windows Seven Forums.

I have had a look at your reference link & Dan Cunningham says that his solution may or may not work. Also Logitech don't recommend any work arounds as they can make your computer unstable.
So it does look like you are thrashing a dead horse. The only really reliable solution is to buy a new web cam.

Hi,
When opened notepad or Internet explorer and i tried to zoom-in and zoom-out it is zooming-in but as per my requirement i need to disable this feature. I have tried the following things but didn't work:
1. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AppContainer\Storage\microsoft.microsoftedge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\MicrosoftEdge\Zoom\ZoomDisabled=1
2.

Press Windows
key + R. This will open Run. Alternatively, you can go to Start and search for Run.

In Run dialog box, type gpedit.msc and
hit enter.

Now navigate to: Local Computer Policy > Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Edge
UI

On the right hand pane double click on Allow
Edge Swipe.

Set the policy to Disabled.

Restart the PC

3. [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\ZOOM] \ ZoomDisabled =1
4. [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Zoom] "ZoomDisabled"=dword:00000001

Is there anyone has an idea how to disable this feature in windows 10?

Unfortunately, I'm not sure if this cam will work at all with Yahoo since it locks up durring Yahoo's compatibility test as well. At first I wasn't sure if the issue was due to my firewall (Norton), so I disabled it completely while trying to use the cam.........same problem happens. I was also wondering if the issue could be due to the Router being used to share my internet connection with another computer in my house. If so, I'm unsure as to what (if any) and how to make the necessary changes in its configuration.

Has anyone run into this problem? Does anyone have suggestions as to how to get this thing running on Yahoo properly?

Thanks for reading this, and for any suggestions you may have. Your comments are appreciated.

I bought a logitech quickcam of a reputable dealer on ebay the other day.
I was sent a quick cam (it's the basic one , little sphere, white and grey) and instillation disc. The software is version 8.4.1.

Now, I had an earlier version already on my system(cant remember the version) bt I decided to install this newer version anyway.

Well, the software all seems good, its all wrking and looking good, but, the cam aint registering at all. Not with the software anyway. I keep getting a messege asking me to plug it in.

Ive tried plugging it in, unplugging it,restarting it while the cam is in, restarting and then plaugging it back in again, but nothing changes. I keep getting that bloody messege.

The pc seems to know its there though, because I keep getting another messege saying " new hardware found".

I'm baffled. It's doing my head. in.

Logitech V-iw21 I can't even find that model on Logitech's US & UK websites, let alone a driver for it.

If you know where the correct page is, try the Windows 7 driver. Many Vista drivers will work on Windows 7, so I guess there's a good chance that works vice versa too. Those two Windows versions are very similar "under the hood".

Bought a new Logitech webcam C270 Have installed, uninstalled several times then went online with logitech support and we uninstalled again and then downloaded from their website. In device manager under the tab imaging devices it gives us the error message that Windows can not load my device driver for my Photosmart C6200 or for my Logitech C270 webcam.

We did an uninstall and reinstall and it still says that. The support tech said that is all he could do that I would have to go to Gateway and download my OS driver. Talked to them but they can't help me because it would cost a fortune because my computer is older and not covered under their plan.

A:Windows can not load my device driver for my C270 Logitech webcam

Since both devices show as not being able to load the driver, have you tried uninstalling the Photosmart C6200 software as well?
Could be there is a conflict between the 2 drivers.

If that does not help, it could be a problem with the USB port setup, so updating the motherboard drivers[/URL] is indeed a next step.

After he experienced that on my pc, web browser windows now run a script which hijacks the Zoom-in / Zoom out control and locks-up at either the zoom in or out (out is worse) because you only see a corner of the raster.I ran Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, AdAware, and my installed Avira AntiVir Guard - none of which detected anything but cookies. I installed some new camcorder software which rebooted the system. But after the Windows start-up screen, the screen just goes BLACK and the system is unresponsive. Setpoint 6 is a buggy mess, do yourself a favor and uninstall it. You can find 4.8 here,

that is for the 32 bit version, if you need the 64 bit let me know and I can upload it to Filefront for you.

I use a very old Logitech quick cam.  It's a quickcam fusion that I bought circa 2007.  I just plugged it in the USB port on my windows 8.1 Acer computer, and windows automatically installed the correct driver.  I have no idea what driver it is, but it works.  I didn't have to manually install any software or drivers.  I use it for google hangouts video chat, and I assume it would also work fine for skype too.   It doesn't look like you can use 8.4.8 software (I don't think), but windows should install the correct driver when you plug it in automatically.  But there are so many quickcam models.....it's possible that some really old quickcams aren't supported. http://support.logitech.com/article/3428

I've been using the same Logitech F710 gamepad to play "The Golf Club" on Steam for almost 2 years with no issues (well, none to speak of anyway). The other day, on a whim, I also got MS Flight Simulator X also on Steam. I started having problems with the golf game & controller. One of the key elements of the golf game is a "shot modifier" enabled by keying the left trigger. I lost this function but everything else works fine. After 2 days of fiddling with it I gave up and uninstalled the flight simulator , still no LT. Short version is I ended up uninstalling Steam and reinstalling clean. Same issues. While playing with this I found that a Microsoft driver was installed with the Logitech device driver. This is not an area that I'm well versed in (read: stupid) Any comments or ideas are most welcome. Maybe how to delete this MS driver? I haven't a clue. BTW Steam & Logitech are less than really helpful.

So I pulled out an old Logitech Quickcam Web for my brother to do stop motion animation with. Obviously it wasn't the best quality but my brother didn't care. He successfully did this once before on our Windows XP computer before we upgraded. But when I plugged in the device into the computer, surprise surprise, no driver found. So I googled it up and apparently Logitech says that they discontinued support for the Logitech Quickcam Web therefore the drivers for it are not compatible with Windows 7. Well naturally I didn't believe that crap, so to make a long story short, I was able to find and install the drivers for the Logitech Quickcam Web. After I was done I tested it using the Logitech Software and HEY it works, but still one thing is missing. The Microphone Driver for the Webcam doesn't work. I went into Device Manager and installed it manually but then I get the error "A service section in this INF is invalid". How do I modify the INF file for the microphone driver to allow it to work with Windows 7. I attached the driver files in a ZIP including the INF file for you guys to take a look at. Please tell me how to modify the INF file to allow it to properly install in Windows 7, I know it is possible, I just don't know how.

Before installing this keyboard I had a problem with my HP keyboard... thought it was a virus (mute on/off displayed on screen) so I ran a plethora of rescue applications trying to fix it. I've uninstalled most of them. But this problem just doesn't make any sense to me...?! Can I get some help?

Custom build:
Gig GA-MA785GM-US2H (Award BIOS F7)
AMD Athlon II X2 245 (Regor)
4 Gig G. Skill 800MHz (2 x 2G in banks 2,3)
AMD Radeon 5570 (1GB) Redwood
HID keyboard device, HID compliant mouse (mx518)
WD 640G Caviar Black
Win 7 Pro, 64 bit

A:Logitech G15 keyboard driver won't load or kb is bad...?!

Does the qwetrty section work without any drivers installed for the extra G15 features?

Basically does it work with the stand HID windows drivers? If so it's obviously something to do with the app software.
Have you completely cleared all the HP KB software?

Right now, the USB port that I had the webcam run on is stuck as the webcam, and cant run anything on that one port because it will keep bringing it up as webcam. I tried device mgr too, nothing works...

Hi! Just bought a new Logitech MX500 mouse. It's physically a terrific mouse, but the drivers are awful. There are many problems, but the big one is that scrolling is erratic and clumsy. This is a known problem with the new Logitech mice and drivers and many people have just switched to default Windows drivers, so I have too. Under the default Windows XP drivers -- or the older Logitech drivers -- the scrolling works perfectly.

The problem is that the other drivers do not recogize all 8 buttons on the mouse, leaving 5 of the 8 effectively disabled. Bummer.

So I was wondering if there was a universal multi-button mouse driver, or perhaps a macro program, that allow me to assign items to these buttons. Surely such a thing must exist. There's a great program for the Mac called USB Overdrive that does exactly that, but I'm not familiar with any such for Windows, and trying different macro programs has not been fruitful. I'm a newbie to PCs in general so any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I am using a Logitech Mouse Man Wheel mouse.
Logitech people tell me I should download the newest driver version 9.24. I have
9.0.
Any advise - one Logitech Tech guy told me that if my mouse is operating as I want it to, leave the driver alone. This creates questions. Thanks for any tips.

Either or, if the mouse is working fine so be it. If you like to stay up to date download and install it. If it's not broke don't fix, just tweak it

I purchased a new sound card because my other one stopped working now when I plug in my mic (the Logitech AK5370) it says to enter the CD for the drivers. But it never came with a CD and for some reason when I go into my sound devices it shows my microphone as the name of my sound card. So do I need the drivers so it just shows my microphone?

A:logitech G13 gamepad the virtual driver will not install

I've been using the g13 for years now on win 7.
I am just using the Logitech driver for it.
I'll have an issue once in a blue moon with g13 not working, but I just stop the logitech driver in task manager and then restart the driver.

I've tried uninstalling, and then reinstalling. I tried troubleshooting to have the driver software installed but still can't get it to work. I'm beginning to think it's an issue with Windows 7 and Logitech.

A:Can't install driver for Logitech HD Webcam on Wins 7

Download the latest drivers from Logitech. Uninstall the drivers completely from your system and disconnect the webcam. Reboot.

Now, do not plug in the camera. Install the drivers. When the software tells you to, plug in the camera. Windows will then install the camera drivers.

If the software does not tell you to, completely install the drivers and reboot. Then, after the system comes up completely, plug in the camera. Windows will then install the camera drivers.

Remember that, unless Windows has native support for hardware (i.e., the hardware doesn't come with a disk), install the drivers before you plug in the hardware. This is the rule, rather than the exception.

Hello,

I'm looking for a driver for my Logitech Deluxe Access Keyboard.
I need a driver to use all the function keys (sound,...).

I checked on the site of Logitech but I only found a driver for Logitech Deluxe Keyboard. I don't installed it yet because I don't know if it's the good one.

Does someone know where to find a driver for Windows 7 x64 ?

King regards,

David

A:Driver for Logitech Deluxe Access Keyboard

Try the Deluxe Keyboard driver first.

Do you currently have the latest vista driver installed for your keyboard?
Have you tried using the windows device driver update?
