I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

Hi all, Several months ago I updated my old X201 to Windows 10 apparantly seamlessly. Recently however I've noticed the bluetooth driver seems to have disappeared. I've spent a while looking through the forums and haven't been able to figure it out. My Fn+F5 key does not bring up the wireless devices manager. I've installed the most recent Hotkey driver, and the other hotkeys (sleep, keyboard light, etc.) seem to work fine. I can't find the TpFnF5.exe file in the Lenovo\Hotkey directory. The EOL here (https://download.lenovo.com/eol/index.html) does not include drivers for Win10, and when I try to install the windows 7 driver it won't work The wifi works fine and the mechanical switch on the side of the machine is in the on position. Upon startup, the bluetooth light flashes, but once the machine boots it turns off. Basically, I think I need a windows 10 compatible bluetooth driver and/or a bios update. I've tried the windows 10 "troubleshoot compatibility" wizard on the broadcom driver with no luck. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello,

It looks as if the Qualcomm USB modem is causing the problem here. I believe that is for using your phone as a modem?

The quick-and-dirty solution is removing the device and the software. If that's not a workable option for you, look on the internet for updated drivers for it. My best guess would be to check for updates for the phone software.

If that doesn't work, post a new jcgriff2 report and we'll go from there.

E aí, galera. Tudo bem? Well, it's not that difficult but you need to disassemble a lot of parts. This is fairly easy to do if you closely follow the instructions of Lenovo's Hardware Maintenance Manual, which you can download from here: click me!

Hey! I have a slight problem here. We have 5 machines that got shipped with Windows 7 32 bit versions for two weeks ago, I tested all of them to make sure nothing was defect or such things but everything was fine (The wireless network card was clearly visible in device manager). For two days ago, we recived recovery discs to upgrade these machines to 64 bit versions. After installing it on 2 computers that was previously 32 bit versions, I am not able to detect the wireless network card anymore.  I have used System Update to try and find it but to no avail. The card itself is not even detected by Device Manager (No unkown device or anything either, it have simply dissapeared). I do know the card is present there so I downloaded two different drivers (1 from Lenovo homepage and another one from a driver update tool) (13.1.1.1 and 13.2.0.30).I made a manual search and installed the drivers and the card itself by using "Add Legacy hardware" in device manager and picked the card. It is now detectable in Device Manager but with following error code:"The device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device (Code 31). I have tested both versions but same error code persists, System Update won't help either since it says that there are no new updates for this machine (same thing with Windows Update).  The card was functioning properly in 32 bit version but decided to crap out when upgradi... The CMOS battery solution got the WLAN card working again. I have reported this to Lenovo but havent heard from them yet.

It seems like Broadcom is useless with keeping their stuff updated. Thanks,Erich

No
wireless card is to "network" your computer and bluetooth is to connect "devices" wireless to your computer. (a simple explanation)

you will need something like this if your computer does not have bluetooth built in.

I am building a car PC out of an AMD E350 motherboard (link below...), which has mini PCIe & SO-DIMM slots as opposed to standard expansions & RAM. It is a simple, low power system, ideal for the application. I believe Win8 is the perfect platform for the application as well, since it works nicely with a touchscreen-oriented interface.

I bought a WiFi/bluetooth combo card off of eBay (link also below), but thus far, the WiFi isn't working. The BT works fine, but the wireless does not.

I verified that the driver is installed & working in Device Manager, but Windows does not give me the option to connect to a wireless network. In my Network Connections dialog, it only shows the wired LAN and the BT.

I am willing to accept the fact that the wireless driver is not compatible with Win8, but also wonder if it is a problem with the card?

A:Trouble with WiFi/Bluetooth card

*update*

Actually, I just double checked, and the driver is NOT installed for the Wi-Fi card. I was looking at the driver for the regular LAN controller. I was tricked because it is a MoBo integrated LAN controller, but the driver labels it as a Realtek PCIe.

I did download the driver exe from Realtek and I also tried the one from HP. Neither seems to load the WiFi functionality of this card.

Also, if it helps, the card is a Realtek branded for certain HP laptops.

Hello Everyone,

I have just bought a PCMCIA Card for my new laptop. I have followed the instructions exactly on how to install but I am having a little trouble.

Having installed all the drivers and software, then inserted the card into a free slot on the side of my top and restarted, the software in the system tray is saying there is no bluetooth device installed.
I have looked in the device manager and the bluetooth card is there but in the device status section it is saying:

This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12)

If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system.

What does this mean? The Laptop is only a week old, so i cant understand why there would be any problems with any PCMCIA Card.

Any help or ideas to what this means are greatly appriciated.
Thanks. Neil Skinner.

Hello fellow board members, recently I have bought a 2nd hand T420 laptop which is an absolute super device! The previous owner left me a clean windows 10 installation. After reading up on the hardware and the upgrade options, I decided to order a bluetooth daughter card (FRU 60Y3303 60Y3305) . I installed it, but the new bluetooth does not appear in the device manager. Has anyone had succes with getting it to work? ( i have tried a usb bluetooth dongle and this works perfectly, but i want to have the usb port free for other stuff) I have tried:- enabling/disabling bluetooth in the bios I/O menu- scanning for hardware changes in the device manager- pressing fn-f5 (this turns on airplane mode, but no bluetooth)- installing fn key shortcuts- installing power manager (installation seems succesfull, but no lenovo software shows up in the startup tab of msconfig)- installing legacy device from the device manager and manually adding the broadcom drivers - installing the lenovo bluetooth drivers (install cancels because it cannot find a bluetooth device)- Turning on the bluetooth service in services.msc- removing the battery, pressing the power button 15sec, putting the battery back, resetting bios to default. I have contacted the seller of the bluetooth card, but they do not seem to know what the problem can be. I now have the choice of getting a replacement card or a refund.  Does anyone know what the problem can be?

Which way are you trying to send a file?
Phone to pc? Or pc to phone?
You need to make the target 'discoverable' and search from the 'source' to make a 'pair' with the target. Then find the file you want to send,(right-click) send...via..bluetooth and it will transfer.
It might be easier to get a USB cable to join phone to pc USB port.
Then open two explorer windows, and drag and drop the files across, (or copy & paste).

search ebay for this "wireless mini pcie to pcie adapter" and you'll find several for about $10 USD.
and then add in a mini pcie card of your choosing: I think I'd choose this one:
intel dual band wireless-ac 7260HMW WiFi+Bluetooth 4.0 PCIe Half Mini Wifi Card
New on ebay for about $25 USD.
I'd expect drivers from Intel would work without any issues, but Windoze 10 will take care of the drivers anyway weather you like it or not.

My PC doesn't get detect 5GHz and the increase bandwidth from my router, so I want to replace it. But before I take it apart, I want to make sure that I can do so and buy the right parts. Is this possible, and if so what should I get? I also want to add bluetooth as I remember the website had an option to do so, but bc the Costco Set Config was cheaper, I went that route instead.  Is it possible to do this internally w/o an external part [like a usb dongle] PS. Here is the  Product Number: C8P47AV       Is there like an installation/repair guide for my laptop model too too?

A:Replace/Upgrade WiFi Network Card + Add Bluetooth

The Maintenance and Service Guide found HERE, says there are several choices for the WLAN module.675794-001 710418-001 includes BlueTooth690020-001 includes BlueTooth709848-001670290-001  If your unit has an Intel CPU - supports BlueTooth - this card has the best specs of the ones listed but looks as if none of these list 5GHZ as supported.

Brand new Acer Aspire VN7-791 i bought late last year.  My camera, bluetooth and SD card reader all don't work. I tried reinstalling drivers and that didn't help, as the camera drivers online are for the new model Intel RealSense camera, the bluetooth seems to be bundled with the wifi drivers and wifi works but bluetooth doesn't, and I just tried my SD card reader which doesn't work either. I'm sending my laptop in for other repairs soon but am worried they'd reject this as a software issue and charge me for it.

Hi, there. We own a T530 that has an Intel N-2200 WiFi card built in. We're interested if there is a replacement WiFi Intel card that also has Bluetooth connectivity and if so, which one is whitelisted by Lenovo (BIOS)? Thank you. Edit: Looks like we've posted in the wrong subsection of the forum. We'll be making a new post in the appropriate section. Mods can delete this one.

I have a Precision M6500 and have been looking for a bluetooth (WPAN) card. I've looked on eBay and have searched the web but cannot find one, does anyone know where one can be purchased.
Thank you

A:Dell Precision M6500 Bluetooth Card (WPAN)

Thank you for your reply but I've seen those on eBay, the one I'm looking for can be seen on the Dell manual for the Precision M6500 under "removing the WPAN card".
