I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hi,  We are trying to connect an additional screen to an E93z All in One PC but the additional screen is not detected by the Windows or Intel Display settings.  The additional screen is connected by Display Port to the HDMI on the back of the AIO. We have tested to make sure the screen works on another PC not the same model and the screen works. I have tried both HDMI ports as there is an in and out on this model.  The All in One is running Windows 10 Professional.  ThanksMatt

Hi guys, I have windows 10 1709 updated from W7. the product is exactly 10B8003TIX.if I go to start and click on shutdown it shuts down, the power led turns off but after few second it reboots normally exactly as if I pressed the poeer button. The difference between this and a reboot is the power led, in a proper reboot from Start button the poer led stays turned on.I performed all windows updates and all lenonovo system updates. my Bios version is FFKT28AUS and on the product page I found the FFKT46A version, I tried to flash it through cdrom and from the operating system but no changes... i could try the USB drive flashing but there are no instructions and I don't know how.I also tried to perfom a clean boot and also to restore default settings in bios but nothing changed.I am lost....could you help?RegardsFranco

Hi all, We are a school and recently have bought 34 of the above Thinkcentres for an IT suite. Unfortuantely 7 now are displaying the above issues. To recap: The screen is blank, but if you screen change mode it says on the screen it is in PC mode (so screen works)The mouse and keyboard are dead and yes they are plugged in!The green power light (bottom right hand side)  is constant green even if you reboot (5 second finger) it still is constant green when it come back, never orange and the machine does no start. Fan is operating. There is power to the machine that IS on. I have swapped out the power cables and mice, put the "faulty" mice onto another machine and they have all worked, but not when you place then on these 7 machines. If any of you techies could figure this out that would be great, it would be a shame if we had to warranty return 7 Lenovo machines due to being faulty..   Thanks all Andy

The latest BIOS (FBKTD5A) for the Lenovo ThinkCenter M83, which was released 28 Mar 2019, still does not have the ability to select a PCIE hard drive from the boot menu as a boot option. The Windows 10 installation media properly installs to the PCIE hard drive.  The PCIE hard drive should appear as a boot option in the BIOS. When is this going to be fixed in the BIOS?

After last update of Win 10 after second reboot I saw Lenovo BIOS update screen with strange green percentage progress bar and chinese subtitles. I heard that there is a virus encrypting drives, so I turn off my computer before 100% Now after reboot nothing happens. Only green light on power button, and black screen ( I have two displays connected to HDMI and DisplayPort) this is the only possibilities for this workstation - no vga port) . I read Hardware Manual and I found procedure to clear cmos: Locate the Clear CMOS/Recovery jumper on the system board. If necessary, remove any adapters that impede access to the Clear CMOS/Recovery jumper.Move the jumper from the standard position (pins 1 and 2) to pins 2 and 3But I don have any jumper like that I have place where there is subtitle JCMOS1 and three metal dots (HW, CLR, CMOS).There is other jumper with 6 pins names JP35 and default jumper is on the 5-6 pins. 1) So is battery coin reseting is complementary to above procedure?2) How can I reinstall damaged BIOS without working BIOS?3) Or what can I do in this situation?4) Is CMOS reseting good direction?

Hi guys, I have scoured the web for an answer to an issue which has only recently started happening (after plugging in a new USB Hub - since removed).  When i boot the machine, i get a single, short beep during (or just before) the POST, somthing i thought wierd.  I have looked on the Lenovo HMM and seen on Page 61 that it details two error codes, however no mention of a signle beep, so i started looking elsewhere and have found discussions on the forum relating to other been codes, but not a single beep!  The only reference to a signle beep i have been able to locate on a Lenovo site is here (which relates to a different product series) indicating a "normal boot", this fits because after the beep, the machine boots into Win 7 fine. I have recently reset, and deactivated the MEBX as the password was forgotten, i have also reset the BIOS to defaults, and updated it to be on the safe side, still i get the beep.  I have also unplugged everything (inc. power), pressed and held the power button for c. 60-70 seconds, again to no avail. I am hoping i have covered off the basic troubleshooting, and included enough information to help other suggest a solution, apologies if not, but this is the first time posting for support on a forum! Thanks in advance

I?m currently updating the BIOS of some Lenovo ThinkCentre M83 PC´s and I came across a problem. The Flash UEFI BIOS update (provide by Lenovo) worked almost perfectly on the first PC´s, despite it didn?t automatically open the console and started the flashing process.Anyways I did go on with my work. Almost all other PC´s had the problem that when the second phase (yellow font)/ afudos.exe imagefb.rom /defans /capsule /b /n /r /sp started the afuwin.exe stopped working (it crashed). It seemed like the Update wouldn?t get done this way so I decided to try it with the USB Flash method, also provided by Lenovo, but it also didn?t work. It says in the second phase ?15 - Error: Secure Flash function is not supported on this platform? Last but not least I tried to update the BIOS with the CD-ISO but when updating with this method it says that the BIOS-Version is too old. Some information about the system: ThinkCenter M83Type: 10BE0003GEOS: Windows 7 SP1 64bitBIOS-Revision: FBKT73AUSBIOS last Updated: 01.April.2014 Furthermore Information what I found out:BIOS-Revision seems to not matter (same version but some worked some not)Doesn?t matter if BIOS is set to UEFI only or Legacy onlySecure Boot also seems like it doesn?t matter if it´s on or notWhen the afuwin.exe crashes it only writes a return codeI use the update provided by this Page from Lenovo (Update: fbjycpusa)https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/de/de/downloads/ds035753 Thanks... I just bought a new RAM for my computer and it doesn't work. It's a Kingston DIMM 1024MB DDR2 (1GB 2Rx8 -5300U-555-12). The computer does not seem to recognize this RAM althought it fits perfectly into the slot. Doing some research about this problem I found out that each motherboard supports only a certain range of memory types in certain combinations. However it went to the shop with the original RAM and showed it to the shop assistant and this is what i get for replacement. Can you please indicate where can I check what kind of RAM does the motherboard accept? Or in case this one is supported, how can I get it installed?

Dear Ola,  I don't believe Lenovo have on this occasion remained true to their words.   The Lenovo Warranty Upgrade webpage states:  ""Premium" Care Onsite Support Parts & Labor Advanced Phone Support with Dedicated Lenovo Experts Fastest - Repairs done at your location, Next Business Day Comprehensive Hardware & Software Support Getting Started & "How To" Assistance Comprehensive Yearly Health Check." Please note the term "Experts" in the extract above.   I am also not happy with the inflexible solutions/ options offered by Lenovo for an issue vicariously created by Lenovo in the first place. In my opinion, the onus is on Lenovo to ensure the issue is rectified, and that should include providing a box for the laptop to be safely transported to the depot.  I hope it does not have to come to a situation where I will be forced to publicly voice my disappointment on social media.  Not only am I appalled at the very rigid options offered to me for a problem I never wished for, but I also feel humiliated by Lenovo's on-call representatives. In a consumer market where customer service is key to the succesful retention of customers, it seems from experience that Lenovo may need to upgrade/update their current policies and procedures.   I also don't like being told that whatever Lenovo offers me is something I should be greatful for! Hello. I'm thinking the issue in the dump below is caused by a driver, but I'm unable to determine which one.

After spending what seems like days going back and forth with IBM tech support they have concluded that the system issues are in fact software related. This is the first and only dump I have, no other times before this file has the system given any blue screens just rebooted without any warning.

After searching online I think it may be the audio driver, based upon results online with the same exception address.

Any help, foresight, etc., is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I see no evidence pointing to audio driver, but anything is possible.

To go on, we will need the dmp files. Please see my tutorial: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials...en-forums.html

From the looks of it, you will need to enable driver verifier. See here: Using Driver Verifier to identify issues with Drivers

I recently purchased a refurbed M82. My question is whether it is safe to upgrade the stock PSU to a 1000W PSU. The PSU in question is a Silverstone ST1000-P 100W (https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817256057) I have read several threads and I know that I will need an adapter to attach the Silverstone to the Lenovo mobo. I have read about people upgrading other Lenovo workstations to 650W supplies, but I have not read much about the M82 series and I have not read anything about a PSU as large as mine. Therefore, I do not know if there is a concern with connecting such a large power supply to the stock mobo. Why a 1000W PSU you ask? My old machine died, the mobo gave out, but the rest of the parts are functional. Sadly, it was built on an LGA 1366 chip, and there are no reasonably priced mobo?s for that chipset anymore. I built the old machine for gaming, but I have not had time to game in years, so I wanted a cheap replacement and intended to upgrade a few components (ram, video card, HD). The M82 seemed to fit the bill. Unfortunately, as we all know the stock PSU isn?t much and it won?t handle the video card I have. I would do without the video card except the M82?s only have a VGA port and my monitor is not compatible. I just want to finish the machine as inexpensively as possible. Please advise, and thank you in advance!

I have an old ThinkCenter desktop around as well as some additional computer parts that I was trying to sell, when I got the idea to combine the two and build a franken-computer. I can't find the exact model for the Lenovo, but from my googling... It looks very similar to the M72e. I was hoping to use the I5-4570 on the ThinkCenter and pair it with a GTX 1070 mini and some extra Corsair DDR3 Vengeance ram. I'm assuming there won't be any compatability issues, but let me know if there's any concerns. The one thing I did realize right away, is that the PSU would be insufficient and only provides I think 180W. I was going to transplant my old PSU but found out that the motherboard only has a 14 pin connector. Also, iI've noticed the hard drive/CD drive bay is kind of in the way of any full graphics card. Is there any way to open the bays up if I wanted to put a full profile card? Would it be safe to buy a 24 to 14 pin adapter and to use it? The extra power supply I have is from a T730 Lenovo pre-built and only provides 500W. Do I need extra wattage to compensate for the 14 pin connector (i'm not sure if it actually supplies less power, but that's my assumption). Also, I noticed the PSU doesn't actually power the HDD/CD Drive. Are those just receiving power through whatever i'm supplying the mother board? Is there any other compatability issues that I need to worry about? Will the ram be compatible with the motherboard and is 500W enough for a GTX 1070 mi... Read more

My ThinkCenter M82 is connected by HDMI to a new Dell monitor.  After the system goes to sleep, when I try to reawaken it by moving the mouse or hitting enter there are times when the hard drive starts spinning, but the display doesn't come on.  At other times the display comes up to the lock screen as it should. When there's no display I push and hold the M82 power button for a few seconds, then push it again to power up, after which moving the mouse brings up the lock screen display. The advanced power settings are set to ThinkCenter Display default. Is there a setting that I'm missing?

Chat could not help me with this and sent me your way. Here is what I asked for. Please answer all if possible.I am doing research for my company on USFF desktops. I have found much information on your products, but my employer has several more requirements that I was unable to find on your site or PDF spec sheets. I am chatting regarding your M910x Tiny, M910 Tiny, M710 Tiny, M715 Tiny and M600 tiny machines. For all of them, Are they TAA compliant? Do they have stand or mount options? What is the graphics resolution? GPU? What are the chipsets for each? Audio cards? Integrated speakers? Operating and storage temperatures? Do they have 3 pronged plugs? what is the internal power supply? When was the product start date? Any end of life? Removable media options? Expansion slots? Max number of Drive Bays? Removable Drive Bays? Integrated optical drive options?

Hello guys, I have an old ThinkCentre A55 (type 8985), I want to know if this desktop is compatible with a Pentium E6700 @ 3.2Ghz since it has the same No. of Cores, Cache Size, and FSB with the Core 2 Duo E6300 which is currently installed on my system. May there be a slight chance that the Pentium is compatible? I also want to know if there is any compatability with a Core 2 Duo E7600, I've read another post on the forums, and I learned that the latest processor that this system can support is the Core 2 Duo E6700, the only difference between these two C2D processors being the cache size, with the former having a 3MB L2 cache and the latter having only a 2MB L2. I also want to know if this system supports 800Mhz DDR2 RAM, because I assume that it will be automatically underclocked to 667Mhz. The reason why I'm upgrading such an old system is because I have none of that $$. Thank you in advance for answering, any additional suggestions/recommendations or tips are most appreciated.
