hi !
i am using outlook 2007 and have set up multiple email ids of gmail using pop.gmail.com, the emails are well setup. now i use microsoft publisher and create the templet and send the emails.
Gmail ristricts the no of sending to 250 mails in a day. but when i have set up multiple ids in outlook and i change the default sending mail after first 250 emails, the mail starts bouncing stating your quota exceeds.

my question is does outlook also restricts the sending limits. or using the pop.gmail.com and smtp.gmail.com server counts the emails. is there a solution for this.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

You are identified by gmail (and counted), whatever you use. It's your IP.

I am trying to setup my Outlook at home for multiple email accounts, and while the end result is close to what I want, the security seems a little suspect. Here is the background information: I am running Windows XP, with one user account. I am using Outlook 2002 SP3. I have three email accounts, all of which originate from the same ISP. What I WANT to have happen is that I have a separate Outlook login for each of my three email accounts, after I log into Windows with my one user profile.
Here is what I setup so far: Using the Control Panel/Mail application, I setup three separate (mail) profiles, and selected the option for ‘Prompt for a profile to be used’. Also, there are three separate data files which are associated with each of the three email addresses (Outlook1.pst, Outlook2.pst, Outlook3.pst). As far as I can tell, all that setup is correct. When I open Outlook, immediately – before the application finishes loading – the ‘Choose Profile’ prompt box appears on the screen and forces me to select one of the three that I setup previously. So far, so good. Now comes the part that does not make sense to me. No matter who I am, I can select any of the three profiles, and the next action that occurs is for the inbox to open. The good news is that the inbox is correctly associated with the profile I selected. The bad news is, well, why is the inbox opening without asking me for my password? I'm new to this and this is my first question. I am trying to connect two fax machines to one dedicated fax line. Is it possible to connect a free-standing HP Laserjet 3330 and a system controlled Brother 5-in-1 MSC5440CN to one dedicated line without interfering with one another? I am trying to connect an external TV to my laptop using HDMI connection.
I turned off both of them.
Connected the cable
turned on the TV.
Turned on my laptop.
Everything is fine while the windows starting, everything is displayed on the TV, (which is determined from the bios setup).
When the welcome screen appears, it appears on the laptop, not on the TV.
nothing appears on the TV.
I entered the resolution page and pressed the detect button, all what I get is "Another display not detected"
I tried updating my nvidia card driver.
I searched the internet for any help, I found that this problem happens with a lot of people, most of them say that this problem happened only with windows 7, and the external TV was detected easily using windows XP or Vista.

Please help.

This thread is from nvidia forums showing that the problem is not in the display card driver and all of them have the problem when upgraded to windows 7.

I have a GeForce 6600 video card that support ups to two monitors and I saw that I could set it up to display one really wide screen or to clone one screen but I want to have one screen always stay at my desktop view and only open windows with the minimze, maximize, and close buttons on top, while the other screen opens up my games. is there any way to do this.

Hello Everyone,

I am in desperate need of help.

Just started new business and wanted to setup 3 additional monitors to my current laptop. Bought 3 monitors and plugged in and to my surprise only two working. Did some research and found that my laptop only has the ability to set up 2 additional monitors and not 3.

Went to local computer shop and they advised to get a video card and that should help.

Before that I tried all the below option but nothing worked

1. HDMI to USB
2. VGA to USB
3. DVI to USB

What I haven't tried is the external docking station as that is bit expensive.

My laptop is Acer Aspire F - 15 F5 -572G - 77KY
Intel Core i7 with turbo boost
NVIDIA GeForce 940M with 4 GB Dedicated VRAM
16GB DDR3 l Memory

If my only option is Video card can you please suggest which one to go for and if that can be plugged into usb or something.

If there is any other option please let me know.

I am trying to set up my Gateway DX4300-19 Desktop PC for dual monitors. The problem I am having is that the second monitor is not accepting the signal and or not getting the signal. I am not very tech savvy so I may be completely wrong with this so here it goes:

My video card is a ATI Radeon HD 3200 integrated.

So this is how I'm trying to set it up and if I'm completely wrong please tell me what to do.

On the back panel of my desktop there is a VGA output and a HDMI output. I have the VGA going to my desktop Monitor its a gateway.

And Im trying to use the HDMI into my LCD TV as it is hung above my desktop anyway.

Am I doing something wrong or will it just not work?

This may show my ignorance, but I'm fine with that. I'm am working on a computer that needs to have both XP and Linus, as well as a large amount of storage. What I have to work with is two smaller drives and two larger drives. The thought was to partion the smaller drive to contain both OS and set it up as a RAID1 with the other small drive so that the software would be backed up (time is money with this project so I can't have downtime reloading if either crashes!). Is there any way to have the two larger ones set-up as RAID0 or will I have to have both of them as separate drives? Willing to take any other set-up suggestions as well. Thanks for your time!

I wouldn't think it would matter which drive you chose to install the XP and or Linux on, though I don't think you can take two HDs and combine them. They will more than likely have to be separate drives. Let us know...Jazz

Is it ok to have a device on the same channel as the primary hard drive?

I currently have my primary HD by itself on one channel. On the second channel I have a slave HD and CD Burner.

I would like to have the primary HD and a CD rom on one channel, and the slave HD and CD burner on the second. Will I have any problems with this.

Right now out VPN router is connected to our modem. The VPN router is then connected to the first switch which is connected to the other switch, the other 2 routers, and various computers.

We have various issues, including transfer speed, ability to see all computers on the network, etc etc. I assume the issues are in how I have the routers configured.

SO, here are my questions.

1) I no longer have a need for the wireless functionality of the 2 additional routers. Should they be replaced by switches?

2) If I keep the setup as is, how should the routers be configured, is there a good resource on the web to read about this?

3) "If someone has the time to answer this one I would be grateful." - If you were starting from scratch how would you configure this network, what hardware would you buy? Due to wiring limitations there are two areas of our building, where the additional wireless routers are now, that a router or switch or something must be used to service multiple computers.

You can't see all the computers because routers break up broadcast domains. You need to either create separate subnets on each router and set up routing between them or make the WAP's into layer 2 bridges (if possible). If you do not require the wireless could you wire the other devices directly into it? If not hang a switch off of it.

I need 3 TVs to run of 3 separate computers, and I need to be able to switch which computer run which tv, very quickly. So ?computer a? needs to be able to runs 1,2 and3 (but only one at a time.) then needs to be able to switch and run a different tv in less than 1 min.

2 computer stations are located in one room and the 3rd is 20 feet away in the next. The farthest tv is 50ft away, but are all located in different areas so the building. Chrome casts and similar devices aren?t good enough to run video. We would prefer a hard wired situation.

The computers do not have hdmi ports, but do have vga. We have to have sound and video playing. Each computer station must also have 2 monitors.

Any ideas?

This is my first post !
I was actually looking forward to setup multiple routers at our college(I know its quite late) where we have quite a good network of ethernet cables. Also, almost every cluster/lab has its own switch and we use static IPs with proxy to one network address( The user should be able to travel across multiple ROUTER/AP zones without changing connections.
I am sorry if I ask too much but after searching for several hours, all I got was I have to do something with MAC cloning and SSIDs.

I have a Dell Inspiron 7000 laptop. I recently upgraded to WinXP-Home. I just plugged in an external monitor but when I go to Display Properties/Setup, I don't see 2 monitors pictured... so I can't run my system with a multiple monitor desktop... all I can do is display the same image on both the Laptop LCD and the external monitor.

I came across this wonderful site in search of answers.

I have a huge problem that I have no clue where to begin. I recently started to get BSOD's when my dog just barely tapped my tower. I was playing Metro 2033 and all it did was stutter really bad then shut down. No bsod or anything. I went to boot it back up and nothing came on, except I could see my fans were on and I heard my hdd spin, but nothing else. No monitor, no keyboard, no mouse. Panic set in lol! So I unplugged everything and let it sit there for a while then started it back up. Everything worked just great! Except I started to get a bsod every now and then tagged with the nothing posting unless I left it alone. I swapped video cards with one I knew worked (ati X1800xt) installed drivers and went to reboot (no bsod at this time, and your supposed to restart after driver install) then the normal nothing comes up. So I took the x1800 out and put it back in the old system I had. Well then that wouldn't do anything either!! Seeing as I was frustrated I removed that card from the old computer and let it sit. After some time I put the x1800 back into the old computer and it worked like it never left. (I also tried the HD 6950 in the old pc and it didn't do anything either - that was before I put the x1800 back into the old pc - but I thought that might be the psu not being powerful enough) So I took the new computer apart minus the processor and left the pieces sit apart. So if I move a window from my 144 hz monitor to one of my 60 hz monitors it gets laggy. I have also noticed that if I fullscreen a window on my 144 hz monitor that I will get some strange tearing in specific places when I scroll up and down. If I revert the 144 hz monitor down to 60 hz it goes away. It also goes away by switching to windows basic instead of aero? Does anyone else have experience with this? I am pretty sure it is a windows problem.

I looked it up and other people had a similar problem as well. Sadly not many people use monitors beyond 60 hz so I doubt that this will be patched anytime soon.

Hello, I have an ASUS laptop integrated into my Bedroom Theater and 2.1 sound system. Currently I have an Audioquest Dragonfly DAC plugged into the USB 2.0 port from there the 1 stereo output of the Dragonfly heads over to a spliter after that one end goes to an amp for the main speakers and the other goes to a wireless transmitter for the subwoofer and all the filtering gets done at the sub Via a low pass filter @ 60Hz
I want to get rid of the headphone splitter and use the factory (unused) output for the subwoofer (if Possible)
also I do want to bypass the sub's built in low pass filter for something in the PC itself

Hi  Hoping someone may know the answer - but is there any hardware or software I can get to allow me to output my Lenovo Y50 onto three external HDMI monitors? I need them to be extensions of the display, rather than duplicates... I tried a HDMI splitter in one HDMI port connected to 2x external monitors but it only seems to duplicate the display on two of the screens, even when selecting ''extend'' from the Win10 display options. I have a USB to HDMI converter that is allowing me to extend the display onto one additional monitor, but not onto two... Thanks in advance

I've encountered multiple specific problems hence why the thread title is "multiple problems".

So it all started when a recent Windows 10 update was installed on to my brother's laptop. Laptop restarted and did not boot up. Encountered a srttrail.txt error. Read many posts on this. I tried bootrec, bcdedit, startup repair, chkdsk, scannow......the laptop always got stuck at a blank black screen or could not repair the startup.

I downloaded an ISO from the microsoft site to try and re-install Windows, burned it to a dvd at max speed (using my laptop), then booted it on to my brother's laptop under Legacy Boot mode. It booted well except it could not accept the product key which came with the ISO file (which came from a site that was partnered with Microsoft). We checked the product key multiple times....no success. I tried downloading a pre-activated ISO file to bypass the product key screen and I get to the "Select driver to install" screen telling me I am missing a media file. I downloaded a chipset onto a usb drive and selecting it but the laptop keeps saying "Could not find any drivers".

So.....is the ISO corrupted? Did I burn the ISO too fast? Is the DVD scratched? Do I need to edit any settings in BIOS? This is an Acer laptop with an i7 processor.
By the way, By brother downgraded to Windows 8.1 because he used somebody else's Windows 8.1 cd to repair his computer.....or at least that's what he told me. Anyho... Read more

First off, let me apologize for mis spellings, this laptop needs a new kayboard badly.

What im doing is setting up a 2nd wireless router to extend wireless network to other half of house and Garage.

My main wireless router is a WRT54G... Nice base model, used for DNS/DHCP and my main network config.

2nd router (in diff room) is a Truemobile 2350 (Piece of junk sold to my parents by dell when they bought a laptop)

Anyways, they are both setup, and both run off different networks. main is 192.168.1.X (x being maker for each machines specific address) and the trumobile runs on 192.168.2.X...

The issue is, each will provide me Internet, but when im on the truemobile, I cannot see shared stuff on my network.

Heres a little "diagram" of how its all connected.

Gateway (actiontec DSL)--WRT54G--Cisco Catalyst(forgot wat series)----Tuemobile.

Any ideas? (This is sad since I majored as a Cisco CCNA for two years :'( )

I have a windows XP and I have 3 accounts I am trying to link to one library. One of the accounts is and admin account the other two are limited. I tried placing all the music in the shared music folder, changed the music folder location to that, and change all the music database files by opening iTunes while holding shift like i have seen said to do multiple time on the internet. For some reason when I held shift and opened iTunes it didn't do anything besides open iTunes. I also tried setting them all to the default location of their own music folder then used Junction Link Magic to link the iTunes folder from each account to the iTunes folder in the shared music folder. My admin account works fine but in the other two when I try and open iTunes it says "the file is either locked, on a locked disk, or you do not have write permission." If it is the share folder shouldn't the limited account be able to access it? It can create and delete folders. Any solution or fix would be very appreciative.

Short story: I'm working with a Win7 laptop to configure a Wifi AP network using 3 nodes and I'm stuck.

Long version:

I've spent the last two days beating my head against the virtual wifi wall of my landlords Lodge and RV Park. She has a large piece of property with 5 acres of scattered buildings and wants to provide wireless internet services to her guests.

Silly me. I thought I'd be a good guy and offered to help with setting up a 3 node WiFi AP set-up. Oops.

Here's the basic config that I thought would work:

Cable company supplied modem > Belkin N600 DB Wifi AP w/ 5 port Router (DHCP enabled, serves IP Range > > Netgear 5 port dumb switch > 3 ea EnGenius ENH200 outdoor APs configured with serial SSIDs (xxxLodge1 through 3) and using sequential IP addresses starting with through the Default Gateway is set as DHCP is NOT enabled (as I typed that I wonder if I should set the Default Gateway to or config the Belkin to serve from to ?)

The ENH200s will broadcast their happy little SSIDs all day long, they'll connect to my laptop with pure glee and if I connect directly to them with the LAN port on my laptop I can communicate with them via LAN too. I currently have a dual screen setup, the primary a computer monitor and the secondary an HDTV hooked up via HDMI cable. Accordingly I have 2 sound setups; a set of speakers at my desk and the other is the TV's speakers.

The problem is most programs have no option to choose the audio playback device. Everything goes to the default in Windows, so I have to manually change it every time to either the TV or the speakers. I only really use the HDTV to watch videos and want only the sound from that specific program to play on the TV, and everything else on my desk speakers.

I had a workaround to this in Vista. By setting the default audio device to the HDTV Windows would automatically switch the audio output to the speakers when disabling the secondary monitor which could be done easily with UltraMon. Windows 7 audio playback doesn't seem to detect this change so I'm wondering if anyone knows of a solution or workaround.

You can either configure the Netopia 2210N into bridge mode and use the WRT54G as a standard router connected to the WAN port of the Linksys, or configure the WRT54G as a WAP.

In any case, you'll want to configure the Linksys BEFW11s4 as a WAP using the following configuration. This applies to the WRT54G as well if you decide not to bridge the Netopia.

Connecting two (or more) SOHO broadband routers together.

Note: The "primary" router can be an actual router, a software gateway like Microsoft Internet Connection Sharing, or a server connection that has the capability to supply more than one IP address using DHCP server capability. No changes are made to the primary "router" configuration.

Configure the IP address of the secondary router(s) to be in the same subnet as the primary router, but out of the range of the DHCP server in the primary router. For instance DHCP server addresses through, I'd assign the secondary router as it's IP address, for another router, etc.

Note: Do this first, as you will have to reboot the computer to connect to the router again for the remaining changes.

Disable the DHCP server in the secondary router.

Setup the wireless section just the way you would if it was the primary router, channels, encryption, etc.

Certain PCs at work have multiple Domain users log into them and they all need XP mode. Because each user is unique, a new profile is created, and for XP Mode to work as I need, I end up having to install XP mode for each user. It's a pain. 
What I've done now is to install the XP Mode under the Public profile, configure it as I need, and save the image. When you install for a new user, you're forced to overwrite the existing VM, which I let it do its thing, and when done, I just throw my saved
image to the new user's XP Mode folder, and I'm good.
My question is... Is there an easier way to get this accomplished? Maybe a Registry key or two that you can just insert that points to the XP Mode folder under Public, so I don't have to install per user? Maybe something Global that would only force my to
install once, and all new users logging in would be configured for it automatically.

Hi guys,

I haven't posted in a while, but I have a problem that is really beginning to frustrate me!

I was recently running a setup with dual monitors. This allowed me to move toolbars and menus out of the way to maximise working area when 3D modelling. Unfortunately, I've had to temporarily rever back to a single monitor.

The problem is, when I load the application and open the toolbars, they open off the screen, on the missing second monitor. I'm sure there is a quick and easy way of fixing this problem, but I can't find what it is for the life of me! I'd really appreciate it if somebody could help out.

Right click the monitor with 2 in it and click the attached
listing to uncheck it.

I have 5 HDD in the new XP system I'm building. I know 2 spindles is better than 1 for performance, but with 5 the options seem endless. This is what I was thinking would give me the best performance, any markups?

A) 500GB SATA2
B) 500GB SATA2

Partitioning is as follows:

A) 500GB is partitioned into two pieces:
[A1] is 30GB for Windows
[A2] is 470GB for Images (photos, digital stills)

B) 500GB is partitioned into two pieces:
[B1] is 15GB for SWAP and system temp directory
[B2] is 485GB for Applications & user data

C) 300GB is for backup

D) 160GB is scratch 1

E) 120GB is scratch 2

Mounting/Paths are as follows:
[C] =E:\

So, I only have 3 drive letters for my 5 drives and 7 partitions.
I partitioned the OS separately so that it's on the front and fast 30GB of the first 500GB.
I partitioned the SWAP/TEMP separately so that it's on the front and fast 15GB of the second 500GB
I've got apps on a different spindle than the OS
I've got 2 "scratch" disks, each it's own spindle, that Photoshop or burning can use....

I'd like to think this is well thought out, but I'm opening it up for criticism...and if you've read this far- thanks!

Hi, I am experiencing a loss of RAM in windows XP with a multi-video card setup. Here are the system specs:
P5W64WS Professional
QX6700 Intel Processor
4 x 1G Supertalent DDR2 800
2 x Seagate 160G HDD
4 x XFX 7300 GT video Cards with 256 MB DDR2
XP Pro

Here is what I have done so far. For the people that may not be familiar with this particular motherboard, it has 4 x PCI-Express slots, and readily advertises its ability to handle 4 video cards and 8 displays on the front of the box. Tested the system with one video card, the normal 3 Gigs of RAM were visible in XP. I put another video card in PCI-E slot #2 and visiable RAM drops to 2Gigs in XP. I switched the second video card to PCI-E slot #3 and same issue. I added a third video card and visible RAM stays at 2 Gigs in XP. When a fourth card is added the RAM drops to 1.37 Gigs.
At this point I took out 2 Gigs of RAM and removed all but 1 video card. The 2Gigs were displayed in XP with the single video card. I added another video card and 2Gigs remained visible. I added a third video card and the 2 Gigs were still visible. The fourth decreased visible RAM to 1.37 Gigs.
All displays are running fine and system is stable. I am just curious if this RAM decrease is normal, if there is anyway around it, and why it is dropping at all if the video cards have dedicated memory. THanks for your time.

I have Windows Server 2003 installed on my servers.

I am wanting to implement a simple interoffice email solution for our business. We have around 15 employees and we wish to use this solution to send out mass notifications to our employees about policy changes, important events, etc.

However, I am not looking into using our domain for this. I am just wanting to keep it simple within the server. Like each user registered on the server gets a mailbox to receive and reply to messages from within the server.

Users will be connecting to the Server via Terminal Services.

I was looking into Pegasus and Outlook for this but I'm not sure how to implement them for interoffice email.

If anyone can point me into the right direction, I will greatly appreciate it.

I have been using Outlook Express to date but I am now trying to use Thunderbird, as I was told it was less likely to pickup viruses. When I try to send an attachment with Outlook it sends many, many, many emails to the receiver with no attachments.
When I try to send an email through Thunderbird I get this error "The mail server responded:5.7.0. Must issue a STARTTLS command first".
When I try to receive an email I just get a timed out message.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Step one. Make sure your E-mail account is configured properly according to the instructions provided by the E-mail provider, and that the provider supposts Tb. (If there are no instructions for Tb, then if there are some for Netscape, take a look at those)
Step two. Your provider should have a list of error messages (customer support or help or FAQ) that might provide a clue as to what is causing the problem. Look under your Tb account's properties/account settings/server settings; there is a cartouche for "security settings" that you may have to change to "TLS."

I am Frank and I need some help from all you experts out there. I want to setup my Excel to send me an email alert to my email account when a certain criteria is met. For example in a cell number that I have specified it calculates the sum total of a range of cells to return their sum value.
