Sending reported error 0x800CCC69 outlook 2016

Q: Sending reported error 0x800CCC69 outlook 2016

getting send receive error 0x800ccc69 with outlook 2016. I can receive but not send e-mail. I have associates in my office using same settings on Outlook 2016 without a problem. I have spoken with Microsoft numerous times-reset email accounts, etc and doesn't appear to be an issue there. My ISP doesn't have anything blocked so doesn't appear to be a router issue. I am able to send via webmail for my e-mail server Bluehost so server doesn't apper to be the issue. I'm down to checking my Netgear firewall Prosafe VPN Firewall FVS318v3. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Preferred Solution: Sending reported error 0x800CCC69 outlook 2016

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Try to double-check your Outgoing Server settings. Especially the Username, and Authentication. You should be able to get the correct settings from your ISP.
It may also be helpful to know which type of e-mail you're setting up. Pop3, Imap, Exchange etc. etc.

Hi I run Windows Vista Home Premium and Outlook 2007. I've set up POP3 access for Gmail and to download mail from mail.bigpond.com (an Australian ISP). Initial setup was fine and I can send test messages to myself.

Recently I've had trouble sending (but not receiving) email via Outlook. The following error message is shown:

Sending' reported error (0x80042109) : 'Outlook cannot connect to your outgoing (SMTP) email server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet Service Provider (ISP).

This message occurs for both my email accounts.

If I reboot the computer, then sometimes the mail will be sent successfully. I've checked the "account settings" on Outlook- and they are exactly as those given by my ISP/Gmail. But when I click on "test account settings", the test message can't be sent.

What's going on?!

A:Outlook 2007 "Sending reported error"- can receive mail but can't send!!

Refer to the earlier query in this section dated 10th April under heading " OE suddenly asking for Logon Password" which shows possible ways of overcoming this . I reckon it's server problem as I had it re-occur a couple of days ago . My Mail is Btinternet which started rejecting my outward messages. I know that BT uses Yahoo so Isubstituted "mail.yahoo.com" for "mail.btinternet.com" ( OE/Tools/Accounts/Properties/Servers) and it immediately started working . So whatever the ISP says it IS their fault and somehow their systems start rejecting things for no valid reason .

I'm guessing that no one can fix this problem! Since none of the forum feedback I've found so far has helped. The error statement is seen in Outlook 2007 when I sent an email via POP3 account:

Task 'email address' - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC69) : 'The server responded: 550 IP address in XBL'

The login details for the mail server are spot on. I've also checked all my other POP3 accounts and they all suffer the same problem.

The accounts have worked fine for several months. The only change has been the use of vodaphone mobile broadband. I installed it after my BT connection had trouble last week and ever since this problem has existing. My problem is definately linked to this since I also had the same problem 6 months ago and had to reinstall everything.

I'm coming close to a reinstalation of Microsoft Office and the loss of all existing emails. Please help if you can?

This is an old knowledge base article, any brand firewall could cause this error

Yes Uninstall AVG firewall, you may have to uninstall the entire AVG package.

If you reinstall AVG, just install the Anti Virus, not the firewall.

I am running a 6 PC peer to peer network at work with one person in particular who pays no attention to the dangers out there especially when it comes to e-mail attachments.

Since coming back from our Seasonal vacations our e-mail accounts are being blocked by our ISP due to a suspected mailbot with this error message:-

I have on one PC run 'Malwarebytes Anti-Malware', SuperAntispyware, ExterminateIT and Combofix' I want to add that your instructions for running Combofix were a great help as I rate myself as "mid stream computer literate."

Anyway the problem disappeared for one day and promptly returned this morning and would appreciate any help in identifying the infected PC and clearing the infection, and will the cleaning last long enough for me to clear the other machines 1 day at a time?

5 of the PCs are running 'AVG free' and 1 is running Avira Pro. (I think - bosses laptop and I don't have access at the moment)

Hi - I have scanned all the PCs on the network and have zipped and attached the logs.

I have been having trouble with my email and I'm hoping someone can help point me in the right direction to get it fixed.

I set up a pop3 pophost email account about 6 months ago and after carefully following the instructions, everything was working fine. Both sending and receiving emails were working properly.

I am using microsoft outlook 2003 to deal with my emails.

However, on Friday, after 6 months of working fine, and without me changing any settings (certainly not knowingly changing any settings!!) I started receiving this error report:

"Sending reported error (0x800CCC78): Unable to send the message. Please verify the email address in your account properties. The server responded: 553 From: adress not verified."

The error message then pointed me in the direction of Yahoo mail help web page, but I don't and never have used a Yahoo mail web account.

My incoming email appears to be receiving ok, but I am unable to send any email.

I have checked my account settings and everything appears to be ok within Outlook for my pophost account.

Can anyone help me please sort out the problem, or point me in the right direction of where to get some information on how to sort it?

A:Solved: Sending reported error: Query ???

I seem to have resolved my problem... it appears that since my ISP/Broadband provider is BT, and that they have an alliance with Yahoo, it had to do with Yahoo changing their verified email address system and users that have a pop account.

I have encountered this problem within the last month much to my annoyance.
After speaking to everyone possible e.g. ISP and E-mail hosting company, IT
friends no-one can solve it. Oh i have a pop 3 account.

To hopefully move things along quicker i have tried the following:

1) I have deleted all e-mail accounts and re-entered them with SMTP
authentication ticked every time.
2) My e-mail account has been set up on another computer and sending e-mail
is fine.
3) I have re-set my computer to factory settings and re-installed Microsoft
Office and tried setting up my e-mail account again to no avail.
4) Deleted all anti virus software as had 'Norton' installed which i've heard
can effect this sort of thing, especially if it conflicts with other software.

5) Tried using Outlook Express but have the same problem
6) There are probably more but cant remember now!!!!!
7) Oh yes trawled the internet for a solution and found nothing i havn't

PLEASE help me as this is a business e-mail and although i can use webmail i
do not have all the other stuff contained in Outlook.

I have not tried setting up another e-mail account (not outlook) but dont
really want to unless i have to.

All help greatly appreciated

I can see the emails being sent out by outlook on my computer (computer accessing smtp and sending them when outlook is open... sending 1 of 1823). I cleaned the PST, created a new PST and copied my inbox into it. I did a malwarebytes scan, antirootkit scan, adw, found nothing at all.
I was receiving tons of chinese spam, blacklisted the domains from China, but I'm at a loss at how to make the stupid outlook stop sending spam by itself. How does it do it?
Edit: closed outlook, renamed pst, opened outlook, created new empty pst, it's still trying to send 1800 emails....
Edit2: Ok so I went to the webmail, there was still 1000+ mails there in chinese, deleted those, blocked 126.com/163.com/qq.com in the admin panel, then on the computer, I flushed the Outlook Files and recreated the PST.... in the admin panel, it shows 0 sent for today... which is good....
Why am I (seemingly) not detecting any infection if I (was) sending spam? I confirmed that the IP from which the emails were sent was the office's IP... and there's only two computers here and only one with this account... and I physically SAW outlook trying to send loads of emails... I also reset the password...

I am new to these forums, but thought I'd add to the discussion on this error message on Outlook Express:
"Server Error: 550, Error Number 0x800CCC69".
There is one possible simpler cause, and solution, to this problem than those identified on the forum.
I was unable to send messages, getting the above error message, but was able to receive them. The problem was that one of my messages concerned a bridge competition known as the "Hercock Trophy". Once I removed the apparently offending word "Hercock" from the message title and text, the message went OK and the problem was resolved. This was even though I'd received messages with that name in the title and so was just hitting the reply button which automatically included this in the title.
I should have read the error message more carefully as it did say "Message content rejected", but, like many other non-experts, I simply Googled the error number and came across you guys.

I received an email from my ISP today warning that my account is sending spam emails. I don't use this account at all, it is created when i subscribed with my ISP. So, this could be malware or something.

If I don't turn on the computer or not to connect to the Internet through this computer, will the spam mails still be sent out? I want to get someone to have a look for me but at the meantime, is there anything I could do to prevent spam mails being sent out?

I have a Gateway computer and am running Windows Vista with an IE browser. I have a newsletter I eMail to about 50 people. It's bad enough that I have to seperate the list into 3 groups (it will only let me mail to 20 people at a time), but now it won't mail it at all. Here is the message I'm getting:

"An unknown error has occurred. Subject 'eVangie News - How to Witness to a Mormon (2 articles)', Account: 'COTS House Jacksonville', Server: 'smtpauth.flash.net', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '550 5.7.1 ClamAv_Reject, Heuristics.Phishing.Email.SpoofedDomain', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error Number: 0x800CCC69"

The rest of my eMails are sent ok, just my newsletter won't go. Anyone know how to fix this?

A:Windows Mail Error 0x800CCC69

Hello, and welcome to the Vista Forums!

I see your problem. This is being rejected because of Heuristics, rather than a database, and so false positives are being generated. Technically speaking, this is not a true false positive, but it does not really matter to you whether it is or not!

Right, this error is being generated because there is a URL concealment in your newsletter, which could be a phishing attack, and so is being blocked. There are two ways to fix this, remove the URL concealment, or completely disable the Heuristics Scanning of URLs. Ideally, we would change the newsletter, as the Heuristics will pick up some real phising attacks, which we would want blocked.

The most common cause of this error message is a TinyURL link, as I cannot see where it is leading me to, without a lot of analysis, which the average user would not do. You could be leading me anywhere, to the worst sorts of websites, and I would just blindly stumble into it. I understand that you are not doing this, but do you see the problem, and why this has been flagged up as a safely issue?

So, please remove all TinyURLs, and replace them with the actual URLs, and this Newsletter should be allowed through. Failing that, we could completely disable this protection (not recommended) and may be blocked at the receiving end, or (if applicable) you could get this newsletter to me, and I could have a look, and see if I could find the fault.

I don't know how you want to work this, but could you pleas... Read more

According to all sources that I could find on-line, it appears that rules are part of pst file.

However, this does not happening in my case.

I use outlook 2016 (part of MS office 2016) and have several accounts linked with this ? From my ISP (POP), Hotmail, yahoo, Gmail. I have rules only for account from my ISP.

Recently I deleted my Hotmail account, removed it from my outlook, deleted associated ost file. Then I had second thought and re-activated this hotmal account the following day. Added this to my outlook. To my surprise all rules vanished. Not a single rule remained. I did NOT have any rules setup for Hotmail account. Even column details for message folders (part of setting) got changed.

I decided to check further. Copied my pst files to another computer which had same version of outlook installed and has exactly the same setup.

Now I added some rules on my 1st computer. Checked the 2nd computer. The same rule appeared there. That means pst file does not contain rules.

So, Where are they?

Hope someone can help me. I am lost!!

I am baffled by this one, and hope someone can help. I've installed literally dozens of gmail accounts into Outlook for clients, but this one is giving me fits. Every time I try to enter the account into a new Outlook 2016, the program hangs and then gives me an error message about an IMAP error, saying "Your IMAP server wants to alert you to the following:" with an error number and a link to "answers" from Google. Now, I know Outlook and Google very well. The suggestions they give are the ones I have already done:

enabled less secure apps access to the account
double-checked that the password is correct and logged into the account online
enabled IMAP connection in Gmail settings
logged in through the CAPTCHA site suggested, though no CAPTCHA appeared
checked to be sure that two-step verification is NOT turned on
created a brand new profile through the Mail section of Control Panel
entered suggested Gmail server and port settings manually
My method is to create a profile without an email account so that I'll have a pst file to contain contacts and calendar. Then, I add the email account. This is just crazy, I've never seen anything like it. Ideas would be most welcome!

I am importing an Outlook 2016 generated .CSV contact list into a webmail email account but keep receiving the following error.

Unknown error for item "(Unknown)": Could not parse csv file - Reason : missing column name for column[92]

There are 92 columns and each one has a column name. 92 columns is what Outlook 2016 generates, most columns are empty, just the name. I had previously tried deleting columns with no data but still got the same error, and always for the last column.

Is there a trick to get this contact list imported successfully? I am trying to create a whitelist filter to reject all email where the FROM name isn't in my contact file. My .CSV file contains 162 rows.

I've seen some posts suggesting a conflict with Malwarebytes.  Try uninstalling if installed.  Also updates KB4022725 and KB4022405 are being blamed for initiating the problem.  I'm looking at third party options to improve search.

I use Outlook Express for my three e-mail accounts. One is a hotmail account, one is an AOL account, and the one that is having problems is the POP3 account with Adelphia. Now it has worked fine for a few years now, with WindowsXP Pro running and all. I can recieve e-mail through all 3 accounts, but the adelphia account stopped sending I think after I upgraded my MSN Messenger, uninstalling verison 4.7 that comes with XP (which is also tied into Outlook) to the newest version of 6.2. Outlook comes back with this error message:

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account: 'Adelphia', Server: 'mail.adelphia.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F

There was also a syntax error message that came up twice each time I started Outlook, so I uninstalled Messenger, which took away the syntax error message, but still does not send through the POP3 account.

I have dis-abled, and re-enabled the e-mail scanning in my Norton's Systemworks, the only difference being when the scanning outgoing is ON Outlook connects to Adelphia, but still won't send (same error message) and when the e-mail scanning outgoing is OFF Outlook cannot connect to Adelphia, still get error message. I have also tried deleting the whole Adelphia account, and then re-entering the settings again with the same results.

Question: I have Outlook 2003 (Windows XP) and apparently when I try to send emails as small as 110KB, Outlook gets hung up in a processing stage and never sends the email. In fact it rejects or response the email as not sent. Occasionally a message from Symantec will appear indicating an error that the connection was lost with the server and that I should contact my ISP. Symantec's help Tech support Online, says "wait a few hours or contact the ISP support desk and try again. I have removed the programs re installed them and even was instructed to ensure the physical connection, the signal,(the cable) was only split once at 3.5 DB. I have attempted all and still the messages once they reach a certain size to do not send. Any thoughts or comments ? Thank you for any advice you may be able to offer.

I am using Outlook from Office Pro 2003. Everytime my send/receive is activated, the bottom status bar shows "sending message 1 of 1 ". The trouble is, that there are no messages in my outbox, nor any to send at that time. This has slowed down the processing speed of this program considerably.

Any ideas? Please help.

Many thanks.

Hi, Im using Windows 2000. When I want to send an e-mail with a pdf file attached I receive the error 0x800ccc0D. Im am using Outlook. All my setting is correct. The mail works if I dont have the pdf file attached. I have already disable Norton. I have not firewall or anything blocking me and I am connected to the internet. Also when this error accures my internet connection kicks me off. But this also only happens when I have a pdf file attached to the e-mail I am wanting to sent. Please help.

A:Outlook error when sending pdf files

Here is a page that will help you with the error reported. Additionally, it occurs to me the .pdf files you are trying to send are large files. Depending on your connection, it may take a longer to send than the 'server timeout settings' in your Outlook e-mail client. I use Outlook Express, but you probably can find the setting in Outlook > Tools > Accounts > Properties > advanced settings. Make the timeout longer.

OK I have read many threads and posts about the solution "ZeroConfigExchange". But it does'nt work for my Windows 10 clients.

Windows 10 x64Office 2016Office 365 / Azure AD accountsClient computer is join with Azure AD so the users login with Office 365 accountsNo On-promise AD, only Azure ADAutoDiscover and modern authentication works with sharepoint and Outlook 2016Dword "ZeroConfigExchange" = 1 is created in both regkeys for all users
When I start Outlook 2016 for first time users it still prompts the "Welcome to Outlook 2016" setup wizard where I have to create a profile.

What am I doing wrong?
Best regards

I just starting getting the title error everytime I try send email to any address.

Task 'pop.earthlink.net - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC69) : 'Unknown Error 0x800CCC69'

I've seen similar errors posted but no answers on what to do.

A:error (0x800CCC69-Unknown Error

Check your SMTP settings and make sure you are using SMTP Authentication (not SSL), and the SMTP Authentication is set to use the same settings as the incoming (POP3) server.

For the POP3 settings, make sure that you are using your entire email address for the username (ie. "[email protected]" - not just "davdow")

I have seen this before:

Windows XP/Outlook Express 6 shows error at random times when sending email yet email goes through to recipeient. And message appears to stay in Outbox.

But I haven't seen this: Error pop up is "Some errors occured while processing the requested tasks. Please review..." On detail task tab it says "Send 1 messsage(s) using 'NLP'." Error tab is blank. (!!!???)

I have deleted the Outbox.dmx? file but the error came back again. User machine has been rebuilt/all Office patches are in. Windows firewall is turned off. Imail is the email server.

Now there is a second machine that shows same symptoms.

I have a system running XP Home and Outlook Express 6. When sending a new message or forwarding a message with an attachment I get a error. It appears that the email has not gone through and remains in the outbox but it actually does go through. If you watch the progress of the message going out the error doesn't occur until the very end. I have turned the outgoing scan on my AV off but that does not seem to help. Any other suggestion?

About a week ago I was sending an attachment to a friend in Outlook 2003 and it locked up. Ever since then whenever I try to send an attachment in Outlook it locks up and gives an error message. Outlook Express does fine. And the odd thing to me is when I go into my non-admin account I can send attachments in Outlook fine.

The first time I try it in a particular day I get this:

Error signature:

szAppVer: 11.0.8326.0
szModName: hungapp
offset: 000000000

Any subsequent times in the same day I get this:

Error signature:

AppName: outlook.exe
AppVer: 11.0.8326.0
AppStamp: 4c1c2372
ModName: libavcodec.dll
ModStamp: 48a75d90
fDebug: 0
Offset: 001fd9e3
I've run Malwarebytes, Super Antispyware, and avast! (and I always have avast running); nothing shows up in these.
I'm currently using Outlook Express for sending attachments.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

This is usually caused by the Folders.dbx file being missing, damaged, or using the read-only attributeClick Start | Find, and then click Files or Folders. In the Named box, type folders.dbx In the Look In box, click your main hard disk (usually drive C), and then click Find Now Right-click the Folders.dbx file, and then click Rename Type folders.old, and then click OK. Start Outlook Express. This creates a new Folders.dbx file automatically.
