I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hi, all of your minidumps point to ntkrpamp.exe which is a Windows file. Crashes in that file are usually from faulty memory. Download Mem test from the downloads section and let it run overnight. If you find errors remove one memory module at a time and run the test again to determine which module is faulty.

Also read this...... If you didn't already.

Are you using ESET Antivirus? If you are, remove it and install Microsoft Security Essentials to see if the BSOD's stop:

These are the errors according to the event viewer. I cannot find what they mean. One reoccuring error is a video camera device failing to start due to being disabled or has no enabled devices associated with it. Is it a drivers issue? 1000007e is the error with parameters: c0000005, 0000048e, ef9bcc7c, ef9bc978. Thanks.

I know this sub-forum is normally used for BSOD issues, but I'm not sure if this issue fits in the other sub-forums any better than this one.

For at least a month now, various programs have been crashing with error code c0000005, and I'm not sure how to fix the issue.

I've already run Memtest86 a few times, and I received no errors from the tests I ran.

I've uploaded the latest minidump crash from a program called MusicBee (I no longer have the other minidumps), along with the rest of the files produced from DM Log Collector Tool (HOME-Fri_07_22_2016__12235_99.zip).

Hey guys,

Oopsyscoops here. My laptop [which I recently bought off of a friend] has been experiencing random bsods while playing large 3d games. Not ALL games seem to do this, and the randomness of it all is super frustrating! X_X

Anyway, I've done some research, and you guys seem to be the place to go for help. I will attempt to upload my .dmp file somewhere and link you guys to it very soon. I would appreciate any and all help on the matter. Thank you.

With love,

P.S. I think it may have something to do with my graphics card, as I know that these bsods have been attributed to ATI products in the past. [I hope that helps!]

We don't recommend the use of registry cleaners here. There's a pinned topic at the top of this forum that explains why.

The error occurs while msvbvm60.dll is accessing memory improperly.
Does the application crash and go away - or does it stay running and not doing anything?

If the latter, right click on the psFamilyDir.exe process in Task Manager...Processes tab and select "Create dump file". This will generate a dump file that we can analyze. It'll be pretty big, so open up a free account at http://www.box.net, share it, then post a link to it here (so we can download and analyze it). This is only good if the psFamilyDir.exe process remains after the crash.

If not, then I'd suggest uninstalling all of the Microsoft .NET stuff in Control Panel...Programs...Uninstall a program. Then visit Windows Update and reinstall it (it'll likely be under Optional Updates).

If you have any problems with this, post back and we'll see what else we can do.

I'm running Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit. I have been experiencing BSODs when I save a PDF that I downloaded, save a document as a PDF, or print to a PDF. This began after I installed Adobe Master Collection CS5.5 (no hardware changes at all). Until that time I had never had a blue screen under Win 7. Attached are my crash dumps and the other stuff the instructions said to include. All but one of those dumps came from a BSOD while saving a PDF. One (I can't remember which) happened while I wasn't interacting with the machine, but I had recently saved a PDF. Based on a dump analysis on one of the dumps, I changed my TdrDdiDelay (HKLM/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Control/GraphicsDrivers) to 32, which worked for a few days. However, my latest crash is a SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION (3b) with an indication that it was caused by an access violation (c0000005).

OS and machine are from fall of 2009. The OS hasn't been re-installed that I can remember. I believe it's an OEM OS.

Thanks in advance for any ideas!

Scroll down to the utilities category, then scroll down to the "atk0110 driver for windowsxp/vista/windows 7 32&64-bit" (it's about the 12th item down).

Download and install it.

Go to c:\windows\system32\drivers to check and make sure that the asacpi.sys file is date stamped from 2009 or 2010 (notbefore).

If the above corrects your issue you may not need to do the following....

* These crashes may have been caused by memory corruption/exception (probably a driver).
Please run these two tests to verify your memory and find which driver is causing the problem.

today i was just browsing the internet and importing a cd on itunes when all of the sudden the cd skipped maybe 5 times at the same spot and my computer rebooted, unusual from normal boots, it told me it had to check disks with something called CHKDSK or something like that, i let it got through three verifications, and then it rebooted again, this time all the way
it told me windows had experienced a serious error, gave me this error code (i think, i found it on another forum where someone had the same experience as me)
BCCode : 1000000a BCP1 : 81ECF448 BCP2 : 00000002 BCP3 : 00000001 BCP4 : 804DBC9A OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 2_0 Product : 768_1
i clicked for details and it said something about
C:\TEMP\WERf41d.dir00\Mini061606-01.dmp
C:\TEMP\WERf41d.dir00\sysdata.xml
i didn't know what to do so i just kept on using my computer,
since then, applications have just been failing, and quitting unexpectedly, in the middle of typing this, firefox freaked out and wouldn't let me switch tabs, and when i typed in the address bar, (google i typed in), it came out backwards. yes, i had typed elgoog. this has never happened before.
also, i was playing a game and listening to music (after the initial crash,) and the music made the same skipping noise, but then it fixed itself and the computer didn't crash.
please help me

A:BSOD While Playing Skyrim, BCC code 1000007e

Hello there Shazbot,

These crashes were caused by memory corruption/exception (Cx05) probably a driver.
Please run these two tests to verify your memory and find which driver is causing the problem.

* If you are overclocking anything reset to default before running these tests.
In other words STOP!!!

* If you have a Raid update its Driver.

Memtest.

Quote:
*Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using Iso Recorder or another ISO burning program. Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool

*Boot from the CD, and leave it running for at least 5-7 passes.

Just remember, any time Memtest reports errors, it can be either bad RAM or a bad motherboard slot.

Test the sticks individually, and if you find a good one, test it in all slots.

Any errors are indicative of a memory problem.

If a known good stick fails in a motherboard slot it is probably the slot.

RAM - Test with Memtest86+
Driver Verifier

Quote:
Using Driver Verifier is an iffy proposition.
Most times it'll crash and it'll tell you what the driver is.
But sometimes it'll crash and won't tell you the driver.
Other times it'll crash before you can log in to Windows.
If you can't get to Safe Mode, then you'll have to resort to offline editing of the registry to disable Driver Verifier.

I'd suggest that you first backup your stuff and then make sure you've got access to another computer so you can contact us if problems arise.

Analyses

Fairly interesting dump. It's a common one I have to say. It's caused by the Broadcom Wireless Dell driver.
Powered by RedRaider covered this, and found the conclusion that you're able to download the file below, to install the working driver.

Attachment 184910 Click the DL-icon

Install it and you should be fine for now.

Bugcheck

Code:
SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M (1000007e)
This is a very common bugcheck. Usually the exception address pinpoints
the driver/function that caused the problem. Always note this address
as well as the link date of the driver/image that contains this address.
Some common problems are exception code 0x80000003. This means a hard
coded breakpoint or assertion was hit, but this system was booted
/NODEBUG. This is not supposed to happen as developers should never have
hardcoded breakpoints in retail code, but ...
If this happens, make sure a debugger gets connected, and the
system is booted /DEBUG. This will let us see why this breakpoint is
happening.
Arguments:
Arg1: ffffffffc0000005, The exception code that was not handled
Arg2: fffff880055062f4, The address that the exception occurred at
Arg3: fffff8800357e788, Exception Record Address

Hello all, I'm new to the forums here as I can normally troubleshoot and problems myself, but I've been having a hard time resolving this issue.

I've recently upgraded my motherboard, processor and RAM to an ASUS Z87-K, Intel i5-4670K, and Corsair XMS3 1x8GB, and ever since I have been experiencing what appear to be video card related crashes. I am using a Zotac Geforce GTX 560 AMP, and a Corsair 750w PSU and did not have issues before the upgrade. The computer will crash to desktop while playing high performance games, sometimes almost immediately, sometimes after an hour or two. This results in an event log message like this:

I've been getting this error for a couple of months, over 20 times in all. The two common situations in which it usually happens are:
1) Browsing in Chrome, particularly when there are many windows and tabs open.
2) While computer is idle.
Except for the very first time this happened, it points to file aswSnx.sys, address FFFFF8800????AD1, where the ???? can vary

I attach the SFdebug file.

All of the crashes I saw point to Avast as the culprit. Looking at the module in particular, it's up to date, but it's still the cause nonetheless.

Personally, I wouldn't use Avast. If you have to run antivirus (I don't run any) then use something that has hundreds of millions of engineering dollars behind it. Such as McAfee or Symantec. I know these comments will likely get me a lot of heat, but they're just my opinion.

If you want to post links to some full memory dumps I'd be happy to look further to see if another driver might be stepping on top of the Avast driver. As it is right now, some action in user mode invokes a call to aswSnx.sys (likely through services.exe) which results in an unrecoverable exception.

It's this instruction here that causes the bugcheck:

aswSnx+0x2cad1:

How to find and post your Minidump Files:

My Computer > C Drive > Windows Folder > Minidump Folder > Minidump Files.

It is these files that we need (not the folder). Attach to your next post the five most recent dumps. Notice the Manage Attachments button at the bottom when you go to post the next time. You can Zip up to five files per Zip; if you only have one or two you don?t need to zip them, just attach as is. Please do us a favor and don?t Zip each one individually.

Try downloading sp2.

When do you get the blue screen, what are you doing at the time.

List or update your system spec.

Upload the dump file in zip format, there are quite alot of people here that can decode them.

This error is "SYSTEM THRED EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED" and can be caused by alot of different things.

Is your system overclocked.

Have you tried a restore point to before this started to happen.

Welcome to the forum.

Please remove Kaspersky & Sandboxie for testing purpose.

Microsoft Security Essentials is recommended from a strict BSOD perspective, compatibility & stability compared to other antiviruses/internet security software. It is free and lightweight:-Microsoft Security Essentials - Free Antivirus for Windows

This means a faulty/outdated driver is causing it

Hi had a look through your dumps and not seeing any definate cause, some are blaming gfx drivers but there is mentions of all sorts in there
First thing to try would be to uninstall all gfx drivers and run Drivers - Clean Left over Files after Uninstalling then reinstall latest drivers. You could also try running a gfx test with this Video Card - Stress Test with Furmark my first impression is a possible problem with gfx memory

Be sure to install temp monitoring software before you run stress software and monitor temps closely and dont leave unattended

I don't have a clue what is causing this. I start up my computer it gets just past the windows logo and then blue screens. When it comes back up I press "start windows normally" and it works. I have done a whole reinstall of windows and its still doing it. If anyone could help me out I'd be grateful.

Edit* Forgot to say, I have updated ALL of my drivers before I re installed windows and after as well.

Windows 7 wont start at all, Im only able to access it thru safe mode.
The last thing I did before this error was downloading a trojan removal from Symantec, since Norton couldn't remove it itself. After I run that program this problem appeared.
I tried to uninstalled Norton, and after that I downloaded Norton Removal Tool, but with no luck.

Any help is very much appreciated.
I use Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit.

Thanks,
Fredrik

Today I got 2 BSOD errors in pretty close succession. I wasnt doing anything out of the ordinary. I had few applications open (notepad++, chrome mainly and some background programs). Normally I would dismiss a BSOD as they dont happen very often, but that fact that this happened twice in a row is making me a bit paranoid.

Im not exactly sure what the first error was, but the details of the second time is below.
