Faint edges in screen of Inspiron 13 7000

Q: Faint edges in screen of Inspiron 13 7000

Since Some days I have begun to notice around one inch broad faint strips on sides of the screen of Dell Inspiron 13 7000 and that is annoying. I also performed LCD BIST, but it is still there. May I know what to do with it.

Preferred Solution: Faint edges in screen of Inspiron 13 7000

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

A: Faint edges in screen of Inspiron 13 7000

If it shows on the self test, it's a hardware problem and the screen will need to be replaced.

I received my Inspiron 15 7000 (7559) gaming edition yesterday. Brand new from Dell.ca, with 4k touch screen and dual HDD & SSD.

There is a faint, but noticeable and annoying high-pitch buzzing sound coming from near the center of the keyboard. This happens as soon as I use any audio after I boot.
When I mute my speakers, the high-pitch stops and is replaced by a much less noticeable low-pitch buzz.
The high-pitch buzzing volume is the same, regardless if my volume is at 2 or 100.
Headphones plugged in, there is no buzzing from the earbuds, but still a low-pitch buzz from the laptop.
It sounds like as if the speakers were turned up all the way so there's high- or low- pitched static.
Edit: I'm unsure if it still buzzes when video/music is playing.

I am considering re-installing the audio driver, and I will also call support in the coming days.
I appreciate all suggestions and input!

My Dell Inspiron 1100 is over 6 years old at this point, quite the dinosaur. However, I still have a bit of old data I would love to remove before it really bites the dust.

When I boot up the machine, usually the display is clear and bright. However, after no more than a minute the screen goes black and only a faint outline of the desktop remains. What is the problem and what do I need to do to solve it?

A:Dell Inspiron 1100 screen goes black 30 secs after booting up, faint screen outline

backlights or invertor board is failing (failed).

If there is an external monitor socket on it use a monitor to see the screen and then you can backup your data.

A:faint lines on screen of Dell Inspiron 5160

Try plugging it into an external monitor to see if that works properly. (if you have a desktop computer, use that monitor)

A monitor should plug into most notebooks on the back or side somewhere, and you may have to do some keystroke or change a setting in the display options panel to enable that external output. But if you can get it to display on the external monitor without any trouble, that means your screen is probably bad.

At first I was shocked to see what had just happened. My system is not even 6 months old. I finish my work shut the laptop and when I open it next the screen is cracked. Not external damage just out of the blue the screen cracks on the left side. HELP! In my opinion, I see this is a design problem. What to do next?

Cracked screens are considered accidental damage and unless you have insurance on the system, not covered by warranty.

A:Inspiron 13 7000 touch screen

With bobwillis1 replacing the touchscreen did the trick. If none of the steps that I suggested earlier worked you may consider having the touchscreen replaced.  If you are in the US and the system is still under warranty I may be able to help.  Stoens I will be sending you a friend request shortly.   If you are out of the US I suggest contacting tech support in your area for further assistance.

The screen on my dell inspiron 7000 went blank. I connected an external monitor and it worked for a while and then it went blank too. The monitor was quite old however and I wondered if it died in the moment as well. Subsequently I reasoned that something could be wrong with the video card or motherboard, but how to check? I could buy another laptop but I have a desktop and I am intrigued to see if I can fix it. Any ideas?

Hi. I need help diagnosing this unit. I have worked with pc's before but never laptops. I have a dell inspiron 7000 that someone gave my husband because it has this problem. We have been able to use it and the problem had been very intermittant, but now it is becoming quite frequent. The screen will just go black, or sometimes just very dim/dark. Sometimes pusihing the switch that turns the screen off when you close the notebook would make it come back, sometimes not. Sometimes he was able to kind of flex the plastic at the middle of the back of the screen and it would pop off and on as he flexed it. It almost seems like a intermittant connection.

I have not opened it up yet myself, but hubby did 1x and it seemed to work fine for a while after but then the problem came back (he didn't find anything noteable).

If I hook up a external monitor the monitor works all the time even when the screen is out.

How do I tell if the problem is the screen itself (and where do I find a reasonably priced replacement?) or if maybe it's just a bad connection somewhere that I may be able to fix. When he was flexing the case I thought maybe there might just be a bad ground or something causing this problem. Anyhow, any ideas would be welcomed, I appreciate your time in reading this and hope you all have some ideas for me. Thank you.

A:Dell Inspiron 7000 notebook screen bad?

Couple of reasons for this

1/ The ribbon cable to the board is only a friction fit so it is not pushed in correctly.

Solution find the ribbon cable from the monitor and re-seat it.

the other problem is a replacement part for the monitor and usually replacing the whole monitor is a better solution.

As the picture is fine on another monitor then it the monitor on the laptop for sure.

I would find that cable to the screen and re-seat it as it is intermitant a bad connection is the problem.

I have recently experimented flickering in my screen. I purchased this laptop like a month ago.
Acording to some answers in here http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/laptop/f/3518/t/19590879?pi41097=1 , One recommendation is to turn off the Dell extended battery life. But on Windows10 I do not have that option...What i see is Dell Power Manager Lite.
It looks like on direct AC and battery fully charged I do not present the flickering. If I unplugged the AC cable and battery goes lower than 85% I start seeing the annoying flickering.

A professor asked me to help him resolve an screen problem of his laptop. The problem we have is that the screen of the laptop itself is divided in 3 sections, the first one is black with a white rounded rectangle section, the second one is completely black, and the third one shows the computer screen properly.
If we connect an external screen we can see it properly. Tried updating drivers and all those things you normally do. Also we ran the dell system scan, and got this errors in monitor Test:

-WTS03-NYZ Failed
Is there any solution that doesn't involve sending the laptop to technical support.

Hello, I buyed an Inspiron 17 7000 series 2-in-1 in January 2017 and it had problems starting in February. (so, very very soon after I buyed it).
The main problem (and only problem) is a screen distortion that happens DAILY when I use the computer.
The monitor starts have flickers and black bands, distorcing the image and making, eventually, the whole screen black. It happens when I use programms such as Photoshop or videogames, but recently it has been happening also when I'm just using it to browse the internet. (So, not under stress like in the other 2 situations.)
The only way to '''restore''' the screen is to block it with the 'lock screen' button on the side and then unlock it again. Then it goes away, but eventually the problem comes back.
I've been downloading drivers for the graphic card, looking for resolutions, I even sent the computer in assistance THREE TIMES and they didn't find anything. They changed my SSD but the problem wasn't that. I can't figure out what the problem is, even if it is software or hardware.
The computer is not even one year old and I'm extremely concerned about this problem that doesn't seem to resolve. I've also tried to change luminosity, screen resolution, anything, but I can't figure out a solution.
Anyone had this problem? Anyone can help or give some sort of advice? I've lost hope in the assistance honestly,... Read more

I only received the 27 7000 all-in-one this week. I have used it at home for couple of hours every night. However, I am experiencing this problem a few times each night. The machine is still up and running when this occurs because I can hear the music is still playing in the background. When the screen goes black, I can hear the warnings from windows 10 at the same time. However, there is no way to turn the screen back on anymore. I need to force shut down the pc and try to turn it on again. However, this does not even work for most times. Sometime it gives me an error showing a non-genuine AC power adapter has been detected. A few other times it just renders different colors in full screen. In this case I need to unplug the powershell of the whole machine in order to reboot.
Another interesting observation: I was doing skype video call with my family last night. And suddenly this problem happened. Because I was sharing my screen, my family was able to see the error message on my screen even though I could see nothing. It was complaining about the USB Port Power Surge.
I have done all the system updates, dell updates, driver updates, as well as the USB controller re-installation but this is still happening to this new machine.
Please help!!!
Thank you in advance for any advise.

I just bought a refurbished inspiron 15 7000 and I am having trouble with 3D based apps. I bought the laptop for use with Solidworks but I keep getting BSOD after using Solidworks for just a few minutes. The system has been fine when running office programs etc so I installed 3DMark to run some benchmarks and stress the system. After a few minutes of tests I get a BSOD. I'm guessing there may be an issue with the graphics or memory. I have added more memory to double it to 16gb but this has had no positive effect.

Any help with this would be very much appreciated.

I have owned my Dell Inspiron for almost a year. About 4 months ago, I woke up and noticed a crack across my screen. At first I thought that it might have been some of my housemates that accidentally stepped on it. However, as I was thinking about it recently, that scenario seems highly unlikely as I kept my laptop closed and close to my bed when I wasn't using it. I was careful with it and didn't damage it in any way I can think of. I've owned several other laptops and never had a problem with cracked screens before. I've only now gotten around to calling Dell and asking for my laptop to be repaired to which they've said that it is not covered under warranty and that I have to pay over AUD600 for a new screen and additional AUD130,140 for it to be installed! That is ridiculously overpriced! Not to mention, that as I've been reading some of the forum posts on this page, it seems that the cracked screen is a designer flaw and not my carelessness.
Has this happened to some of you as well? What should I do?

I bought the new Inspiron 15 7000 series a few weeks ago. Touch-screen, light, SSD - worked really well.
However, after a few weeks light usage I picked up the closed laptop. I heard a crack and, upon opening the lid, noticed a hairline crack across the top of the screen. This is exactly under the area of the laptop I used to pick it, roughly where the touch-pad would be if it were open - but it was closed.
There is a lot of flex on the rear of the screen. It's a plastic construction but is very thin, unlike all the other Dell laptops I have bought over the last 15 years. There is also a small gap of a couple of millimetres between the screen and the keyboard when the laptop is closed. The combination of a lack of protection on the rear of the screen, allied to the gap, combined to transfer sufficient force from just picking up the laptop to cause the crack.
I immediately messaged Dell. I was asked to send photo's of the crack, which I did. I was then told that, don't worry, Dell will take care of it and my laptop needs to be sent back for repair.
It was picked up and queued for about a week or so before it was looked at. The Anovo tracking said there was an issue. I contacted Dell, who told me on 2 separate occasions - in writing -  that they had authorised the repair and it should be back with me soon. I even had an unsolicited telephone call from Dell, telling me the laptop was fully fixed.

I received a Inspiron 15 7000 gaming laptop for Christmas and so far whenever I attempt to download any program like Steam, Blizzard Battle Net or Origin the screen will freeze and display this. I've checked the hardware with F12 and D buttons many times, factory restarted the system, and installed BIOS updates, Intel Graphic updates and NVIDIA updates as well as run tests for both. While running one of the tests for the video graphics, the laptop also gave me a blue error screen which was the cherry on top of all of this. I was also directed to a call with software home support with dell which they offered to look at it for a fee of $120 which I cannot pay. Is there anything I can do before I have to just return the system?

Hello, I purchased this touch laptop months ago and it has barely been used or even mobile. I have had an issue with the screen flickering for quite some time, it came out of nowhere prompting me to use the laptop less.
The screen does NOT have an issue with flickering and brightness. The screen flickers EVERY time I move/touch the monitor at all. Sometimes when I move the entire laptop. Please give advice on what I should do as I don't have a ton of $$ to go anywhere to get it fixed and I bought the laptop in brand new condition from Craigslist so there is not a warranty.

Hey everyone. Recently, my computer's screen has been on the fritz, and I'm wondering if this might be something I can replace by myself with a part or if it's something that requires sending it back to Dell. The screen can still look normal, but will sometimes freeze completely if the computer lid is moved from a certain angle. When this happens there's also visual artifacts and a change of colour - sometimes the screen goes completely black. The problems are mostly gone whenever I'm moving the lid, but come back when I stop. Can I replace the screen my myself do you guys think? Or is it a cable that needs replacing/ a more solid connection

I purchased an Inspiron 13 7000 Series 2-in-1 (7347) a few months ago now.
One evening after finished using it, the laptop was turned off and put away as normal.

I have already called Dell support and was asked to send pictures to a support staff member.
He has not responded and may have left the Dell Support??
Can someone please assist in resolving this, the laptop has not been mistreated or abused in any way, the screen has simply cracked from closing the lid of the laptop!

i just got this 2 in1 yesterday
So I noticed the top edge/border of my browser window appeared darker and at first I thought it might by the styling/shading, but upon closer inspection the screen is just dimmer near the top 1/4 - 1/2 inch of the screen all the way across.  I notice this dimmer area all too often.
I did the screen's self test by having the computer powered off, holding down the 'D' key while pressing the power button. While it went through its test I could still see this dim area on the screen. very noticeable as is cycled through different solid colors on the screen.  There dim area is still there after the self test is complete and after a normal boot into windows10. Ugh.
I don't think I can live with this.
Are there any other fixes I should be attempting with this?
Have other's been experiencing this issue?
I'm thinking this might need to be returned, but the question is - Is trying another unit worth the effort?
Any help appreciated. Thanks,

Hi, I had bought my laptop in late September of 2016 and am just outside of my warranty period.  I use this laptop for school work (involves some autocad and waveforms 2017 work).  Recently the display has started flashing black with it being more off than on.  This makes the laptop unusable for me as I now have to connect it to an external monitor to use it.  With the desktop extended or cloned the external monitor works fine through HDMI and the laptop screen flashes and pulses.  Some times the screen works fine for a minute and then will go back to flashing.  The first couple of times it happened was while in fullscreen mode watching youtube.  I would close chrome and it would start working normally.  This put me down a software path.
I have tried updating both the intel video drivers and the Nvidia drivers.  My current drivers are Nvidia: and Intel:  I recently also updated my BIOS drivers to 1.2.4 to try to solve this issue.  No adjustments I have made in software has made it better and it seems to be getting worse with time.  The screen on this one is the 4k touchscreen.  I mostly keep it in 1080p though due to software compatibility issues. Even with the screen flashing the touchscreen still functions normally and tracks at all corners.  I am hoping this is not a hardware issue as I will be extremely disappointed if that is the case.

I received a Dell Inspiron 27 7000 all-in-one pc early this week. I have used it in the last couple of nights (very light usage). The machine randomly goes black screen quite a few times every day. I can only force shut down the machine in order to reboot when the problem occurs. What's even worse, there are different issues when I try to start it again. Sometimes it complains I am using a non-genuine AC power adapter but of course I am. Other times it just shows different colors in full screen mode. Then the only way to start the machine is by unpluging it from the powerpoint for a few minutes so it somehow restarts from scratch.
Another interesting observable was: When I was doing skype screen sharing with my friend last night, it suddently had the black screen problem. I could still talk to my friend but no longer able to see the screen. Because I was sharing the screen, my friend saw the error message on my screen: Power surge on USB Port. Not sure if it's relevant but I looked it up online . Tried reinstall all the USB controllers but did not help.
I have also done all the windows updates, dell updates, drive updates but the problem remains unfixed.
I am an IT professional so good at troubleshooting most of the problems. This one seems to be a defect in the hardware/drivers.
Can any one please help?Thank you in advance.

Good afternoon. So I purchased a Dell Inspiron 15 7000 (7567) for my wife on July 13 and it was delivered on July 21st without any issues. The purpose for the laptop is more work and school since my wife is not a gamer, but I wanted to get her the best possible specs for the long term. All drivers on the laptop are from the Dell site and the laptop shipped with Windows 10 Pro. On the night I received it, my wife decided to watch some Netflix while I slept and the next morning, she sent me the attached screen shots. According to her, the screen just turned that way after having watched about 30 minutes of full screen material. She also stated that it flickered and that Windows was for a short while somewhat unresponsive (she couldn't restart the system). The following day I turned on the laptop without any screen issues. I did research and noticed a lot of driver issues with the Nvidia GeForce 1050 Ti GPU were being posted, but most specified BSOD issues with the Nvidia drivers not the Dell drivers. Nevertheless, I removed the Dell drivers and clean installed them again. Afterward, I did a barrage of tests on the laptop to see if the problem was hardware or software related. These are some of the tests I ran:
- Dell BIST tests
- AIDA64 Extreme Stability and Monitor Diagnostics tests
- Futuremark 3DMark SkyDiving Benchmark and Stress Test
None of the tests could replicate any issues with the screen. No artifacts whatsoever.
That same night the issue came up again, while wat... Read more

I have an Inspiron 7000 2-in-1 that I just upgraded to Windows 10. Following the upgrade, automatic screen rotation stopped working, and I could not enable it since the button in the notifications area to do so was grayed out. I also found the checkbox to enable it in the display settings dialog, but after enabling that the screen still refused to auto-rotate.
Note that this function was working fine under Windows 8.1, so I know it can't be a hardware problem.
I then went into Device Manager and removed the two sensor devices, figuring that Windows would detect them and re-install the drivers for them once I rebooted. Unfortunately it didn't, and the sensor devices are still gone in Device Manager. I've never seen a version of Windows that didn't detect missing drivers for existing hardware following a reboot, and re-install them automatically.
Now, every option to enable screen rotation has disappeared, so Windows apparently doesn't know the motion detectors exist.
I've looked everywhere for drivers for these devices so I could install them myself, including the Dell support site using my service code number, and have drawn a complete blank. Where can I obtain the drivers for the sensor devices, or otherwise get this problem fixed?
Please help, a 2-in-1 is pretty useless if I can't get the display to auto-rotate. Thanks in advance!

A:No automatic screen rotation on Inspiron 7000 2-in-1 following Windows 10 upgrade

Well, seems I figured this out...
When you uninstall the sensor devices using Device Manager, Windows 10 does not detect them following a reboot and automatically install drivers like Windows would normally do for any other device (as long as you have that setting enabled in the "Devices and Printers" dialog, it's on by default), as I had previously mentioned.
This is because the sensor drivers for my model laptop (Dell Inspiron 7000 2-in-1 (7348)) are part of the Dell "Intel Chipset Driver" package. There's absolutely no mention of this on the downloads page, which obviously isn't very helpful:
Once I installed this package, all of the controls for screen rotation reappeared, but they were still grayed out.
Turns out the controls for screen rotation now gray out when you have the laptop open in the "normal" position, that being with the keyboard on your work surface and the screen tilted back as you would normally use any other laptop. Once you either place the laptop on tent orientation or with the keyboard completely folded back, those controls "un-gray" themselves and can then be changed. To the best of my knowledge, this was not the case in Windows 8.1, and it's an easy trap to fall into.
Live and learn I guess, but this isn't an obvious issue that's easily understood, or at least it wasn't to me. Hopefully this helps someone out.

I tried to reinstall Windows 10, check drivers, uninstall them are reinistalling but  ( not able to take out the battery as is not possible in this model) and still is not working.

Can you please help?

Thanks for helping me..

A:Laptop Inspiron 15 7000 Series - Touch Screen Stop Working

Look in the control panel under Pen and Touch.  If you don't see a touchscreen listed, it may be the connection has come loose or the cable is damaged -- you'll need to remove the base cover and check the connection between the screen and mainboard.
The service manual you need depends on the model you have - is it  a 7778, 7737, 7779 etc.)?

I bought a new Dell Inspiron 15 7000 - 7559 core i7 with touch display about a 4 days ago. I've noticed the screen flickers on low brightness level. (below 30%).
If you have any solution for this please let me know.

I bought the Inspiron 15 7000 (1TB HDD, non-touch) two months ago and have noticed that my screen flickers slightly intermittently. I'm adding a link to a video showing the problem at the bottom of this message.
I first noticed the problem during my first week of using this laptop and assumed it was a driver or software issue. Since then I've searched through forums to see if someone else has a similar thing going on. A lot of people have commented negatively about the screen for this model but that's mostly because of the colors and low brightness.
I have installed all the latest drivers (video, graphics, BIOS) from Dell's website as well as played with power settings (Dell Power Manager Lite and Intel's Graphics Properties) but to no avail. I should also point out that having the laptop on battery or plugged in makes no difference and the problem persists.
Please let me know if there's anything else I should try before sending it back to Dell. Thank you!

UPDATE: I sent the laptop back to Dell for repairs and they replaced the system board. Unfortunately, it has made no difference and the screen flickering still persists. Really bummed.

Hi,I bought a Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Series laptop around about November time last year, and after a BIOS update a couple months ago or so it now will randomly go to a black screen, but the backlight is still on. The BIOS update being near the time that this began to happen may be a coincidence, but it was the only real change during this period. On this black screen, I have no cursor and none of the buttons on my keyboard do anything. The only solution I've found is to hold in the power button to shut the whole system down.
There doesn't seem to be a particular pattern as to when this problem occurs, it will just randomly go black.
This has happened around about 6/7 times in the past few months. All the events did occur late at night though (past midnight). However, this could just be because I usually sit on my laptop longer at night time, and therefore that increases the chances of it happening.
Due to many "Black Screen Crashing" problems with Windows 10 - that aren't the same as my problem - a google search did not help.
System Specs are as follows:
System Model Inspiron 7559
OS Name Microsoft Windows 10 Home
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz, 2601 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)
Ram - 8GB
Graphics Card - GeForce GTX 960m

Try system diagnostics to see if it finds any problem in the components:

Press F12 after power on
Select diagnostics.

You can also check Windows Event Viewer for any error message that was logged when the black screen crash happened.

Window-X => Event Viewer

The last post I have been able to locate on this topic was in Feb 2016 where it appears another user was reporting. Mine has had the problem since just after purchase but unfortunately I could not send the laptop back to Dell during the service warranty period because I was in school and could not be without the laptop for that long. Now that I have finished I would like to use the touchscreen functionality but is impossible due to the bubbles floating across the screen and then the erratic opening and closing of windows. The retail store where I purchased has an extended warranty but that company requires troubleshooting with a technician ( all done- no fix) up to and including factory reset prior to sending out a technician. I pushed back at that point and said no I want to investigate before I do a factory reset.
Does anyone know if Dell has acknowledged the issue or offered a fix? If so how would I go about "proving" this is a known issue?

We purchased a new Dell Inspiron 15 7000 series less than a month ago.
- Last week the screen started flickering. If flickered even at bios/before os. Laptop is dual boot and issue persists in Windows and Linux.
- All windows updates appears to be installed including driver and bios updates (now at 1.2.4) according to the Dell update utility.
- As of this morning the laptop boots to black screen and now is only usable with an external monitor. There are no beeps at boot or visual warnings in Windows. Latest Intel and Nvidia drivers have been installed. Laptop has been restarted several times to no avail. Currently running full diagnostics from F12 at boot. No error found yet and have 3hrs 22 min left.
- I've darkened the room and shone a torch on the laptop screen in case it is just a back light issue but am unable to see anything on the laptop screen, only usable with external monitor. Windows display settings gives the options to extend/duplicate displays so this makes me believe Windows is able to detect the laptop screen.

I just buy a new laptop Inspiron 13 7000 series 2-in-1. It comes with Windows 8.1. It happened (not sure why) that the volume control is frozen at the top-left corner screen with the 0% volume level, so I can not adjust the volume at all both on the keyboard and on the touch screen.
What I have tried is below
- In control panel, sound, communications: when Windows detects communications activity
  Select "Do nothing"
- uninstalled audio driver and leave it is automatically reinstalled after reboot
- uninstalled audio driver and install the audio driver downloaded from dell support
- do clean boot and uninstall-reinstall driver
It was resolved once when I tried pull off and push back the usb for the logitech wireless mouse. When the volume control got stuck on screen again, I tried this again but it does not help anymore.
Any suggestion please. Thank you.

At the moment it seems pretty bricked...

A:Dell Inspiron 15r 7000 7537 Windows 10 install failed? (got to around 80% and now stuck on black screen)

After about another hour I was advised by someone to force power off as Dell laptops apparently sometimes hang during installation forever and Win 10 can retrieve installations. It booted past the Dell logo and said "Retrieving installation" and back to black screen...
I tried again and it just gave up and retrieved the Windows 8.1 installation that it backed up.
May try again later.

I just a bought a new laptop yesterday, DELL Inspiron 15 7000 Series Model 7537, with windows 8 installed, I checked the laptop and surfed the internet a bit, I checked the windows 8.1 in store and it showed me that I have to update my windows first in order to download this 8.1 update, i decided to update the windows.
When i started the windows update, it showed me there were 112 updates there, i clicked on download the updates, but none of them seemed to work, however I searched around and found that I must turn off the metered connections limit download. However, the updates seemed to download and after downloading around 70 updates i decided to restart my laptop.
My laptop restarted with a dell logo, and right after that a blank screen, and after a while a cursor.
I have been restarting my laptop since yesterday and to no aid, a blank screen is showed and nothing else happens. I tried to enter BIOS setup to boot from the other D drive recovery, but I am unable to enter the BIOS setup.
I try to press F8, F12, F2, F10, to enter BIOS or atleast start the automatic windows recovery, but nothing seems to be working.
I spent a lot of my hard earned money to buy a new laptop with a new windows, and this is really frustrating, any help would be highly appreciated.

A:Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Series (7537) Blank screen, windows 8 not booting, no BIOS?

I am having the same problem and bought the computer in Feb 14.  Got the "you can purchase a software support since your warranty is up after 90 days" from tech support, that is not right.  Would be interested if you get a solution.
