I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I ordered the yoga 920 on the 16th. My order is still being processed and the ship date was 10/25 all week. Now it says 10/30.  The website is also now advertising the computer for about 200 dollars cheaper than what I ordered and says shipping is 1-3 days.  Is this his normal form Lenovo? What?s the hold up? I think I should cancel my order and try again.

@Jm567? Typical time to build a "CTO"  Custom-to-Order system is two weeks. Even the "two week" time frame is dependent on the type of system being built.  For example, if the parts for your particular system are not available at the time your order is processed, there may be a delay. Although we at the Community forum cannot help you with the details on your order, you can certainly contact HP if you have concerns. Open the email titled "Your HP Order H### has been received" (replace the ### with your order number). Scroll to the bottom > look for and click "My Order Status". If you do not have the email described, or if your email lacks the contact link, you can contact HP through one of the links that are available in your email (there should be at least one). When you see a Post that helps you,Inspires you, provides fresh insight,Or teaches you something new,Click the "Thumbs Up" on that Post. Click my Answer Accept as Solution to help others find Answers.

I recently purchased a yoga 910 dark grey (07/2017) and to my surprise the shipping date is late December 2017 (18-20). Did anyone else see a huge 4 month gap between purchase and shipment. Personally that is too long of a delay, even though accessories as stated to ship in a couple days.  Should I cancel? Or can customer service rush an order?  Thanks, Ordering from Los Angeles.

If not i will simply have to cancel my order get a different laptop. Any all support would be appreciated, thanks.

I ordered 2 Lenovo Yoga 920s on Cyber Monday.  Advertised standard 2-3 day shipping. Now they say it will be 30 days!!! They even provide a firm ETA.

A:Shipping Delay for Lenovo Yoga!!!

All computer makers are at the mercy of their suppliers.  The makers get disks, LCD panels, memory, etc. from suppliers.  In most cases, they have multiple suppliers for an item to ledden the chances of problems, but occasionally, parts availability is delayed.  It is always frustrating when you're the one at the bottom of the chain.

I ordered a Thinkpad OLED Yoga, 16GB ram and 1TB SSD, on 6/17/2016. This order has been delayed many times due to parts back order, first the drive, then the screen, at least that's what I'm told, but frankly I've lost respect for customer support as they cannot provide any concrete details about my order. The latest estimate indicates that it will ship 9/12/2016, almost 3 months after the order.  I do want this machine and I see others on this forum have recieved a similar configuration. So, what is the deal here? Is Lenovo the most incompetent company on earth? Why offer a configuration they cannot fullfill? The current shipping window for this configuration is 3 weeks.  Can anyone shed any light here? Thanks,Kevin

Hi, I purchased 2 items from Newegg on Monday. I received emails saying they had both been shipped, along with tracking numbers. I got one item on Wednesday but the second was never received (it's Friday night), and there is no tracking information available. It says to check back in a few days, but I think it might have gotten lost in the mail. I called them today, but they were closed.

Am I just being impatient, or could it have gotten lost in the mail?

PS.: their headquarters are in Memphis, Tennessee, and I live in northern Alabama, so they're usually very fast.

A:Unusually long shipping time

It's all according to what you order where the item is shipped from. Newegg ships some items from CA, some from NJ and some from Memphis. If the missing item was shipped from CA by ground it will probably arrive Monday. The tracking should tell you where the item was shipped from.

Is there such a thing as "normal"? I would imagine that it depends on where you are getting the upgrade from.

Hi there, Fabriceknecht -

Thank you for writing in to the Lenovo Forum - happy to have you here today.

I would suggest looking at your notebook BIOS page, check to make sure the clock date and time is accurate.  Also - check for updated BIOS files, then flash to newer BIOS if present. Most of the time this can work to resolve this issue, if nothing helps, it may need to be sent to a service center for hardware replacement.

Update us how it goes.

Hello,

I have here two Lenovo Yoga 2 13 which initialy run with Windows 8.1. After the Windows 10 Upgrade this two laptops starts to throw the BSOD 133. There is no way to replicate the BSOD. The two laptops can work for a week without the BSOD and the next week the BSOD 133 happens every second day and after this it works again for a few days. It happens when the laptop is in use or when it just stand there - I didn't see any thing which is always the same so I could say this triggers the BSOD.
I made a clean install (removed everything - partitions and so on) of Windows 10 Home on one of this two Yogas. But the bluescreen wasn't fixed. Same like before. Bluescreenview tells me always the same drivers: igdkmd64.sys or hal.dll or hdaudbus.sys and always ntoskrnl.exe. I updated the sound and gfx driver and tweaked the energy settings but nothing what I try helps. Did I miss something in the minidump files and another driver is the problem?

Thank you
Thomas

When I hit the button to turn on my Yoga 720, nothing happens (no light on the power button) but I do feel the soft click (so I don't think the button is broken).  The light where the plug connects to the computer is on whenever it is plugged in.  If I unplug it for a while and then plug it back in for a while (15 minutes or so), it still doesn't work.  However, sometimes if I wait another 15 minutes or so, it fires right up.  If it goes to sleep again, it has the same issues.  I don't think it is a battery issue since it does this after having been plugged in all day as well. Any thoughts?

Hi, Lenovo claims the X1 (4th gen) or X1 Yoga can last 11 hours on battery. Great numbers but I guess nobody experienced it.The best I can get is a top 5 hours making sure that the system is on power save mode and about 6 hours when the Battery saver is enabled on Windows 10. I had to install a program to switch to save mode every time the laptop is running on battery. If not I forget to switch to Power Save mode and the battery only last 2 hours. I also pay attention to background program that may eat CPU.Honestly, 6 hours of battery life is pretty good but not even close the 11 hours claimed by Lenovo. The new X1 will have 16 hours of battery life, it means 8 hours in reality. Here are my questions. How many hours do you get on your X1 4gen or X1 Yoga? What did you do to improve it?Any secret recipe?

A:Lenovo YOGA 720-15lKB Noise All the time

First, find out what's causing it. Chrome does have a nasty habit of consuming a lot of resources. That's less Chrome's fault than the website you're visiting. Bad code in, say, an ad window can give Chrome fits.

The other thing that causes fans to run is background programs. Windows Update and virus scanners consume a lot of resources. Thin computers.  If you launch Task Manager while the fan is loud, you can scroll down through the processes to see what's sucking up CPU resources.

Let us know what you find.

I'm at a loss, I bought my laptop on the April 3rd, after 3 days of use the first problem started happening, after mailing with customer service and providing them with enough information and even a video of the problem they concluded it was a hardware problem. Fast forward a month, I've already sent the laptop back TWICE for the same problem since it wasn't fixed the first time, laptop suffered minor external damage in transport, which I no longer can prove since I've lost the photos (that's on me I know), and now they told me my sensor board seems broken, because tablet mode is not functioning as it should and it's not a setting??? I have to send it back a THIRD time, I've got papers piling up with deadlines around the corner, finals in sight, I'll be graduated by the time I've got my laptop back. I'm afraid it won't be the last time I'll have to send it back cause they seem to break something whenever they fix the problem. What the hell am I supposed to do in order to get a functioning laptop? Or is buying a Lenovo laptop a lottery and I just lost?

I have been a Lenovo customer for over ten years - the X200s is still the best laptop I've ever owned. I recently bought a Yoga 900 to replace it, and I have been nothing but frustrated and disappointed with it.   The list of issues in order of frustration -   - Within the first two weeks of purchasing this new, "high end" laptop, I closed the screen inadvertantly with the power cable draped across the keyboard.  Didn't do anything unusual, but the flimsy screen has popped and shattered the touchscreen layer, making the "Yoga" aspect of the Yoga rendered useless.  After enquiring about getting it repaired, was told I needed to ship it to some far away place, pay $200 just to have someone take a look at it, and that it was likely a $1,000 repair.  After just paying $2,000 for a new laptop - this is absurd.  I then tried to get it repaired at other places local to me, and was told that parts for it were unavailable from Lenovo.  I rely on my laptop for work, and cannot afford the delay of having it shipped overseas for repair for god knows how long. - The bluetooth constantly drops out, and now the driver completely malfunctions.  I am now in a position where it won't even allow me to reinstall the driver.  Bluetooth mouse rendered useless, cannot resolve. - Printers and scanners are incredibly frustrating to connect, and when they finally do, and function for a period of time, they randomly seem to lose... Hi, It's my second day with this machine, Lenovo just fixed the fan issue luckily the BIOS released the within a day I purchased the laptop (lucky me). Another minor quirk I am noticing, though.  When on battery, the remaining time in XXHrs XXMins keeps fluctuating.  At a point when the battery is more than 80%, it can show 3hrs 38mins, and within a few min, it can jump to 6hrs 46mins and again drop down to 2hrs 20mins all within a matter of minutes. It looks more like a dynamic value that keeps changing based on the load at that instant.  Anyone else noticed this issue?  Or is there a setting I need to tweak?

The other day I found that my old Microsoft Display Dock works just fine connected to the second TB3 port. It is able to connect a couple of USB peripherals, and outputs a perfectly fine 1920x1200 image to my Dell monitor.  Great. But: since it outputs only 5V, there's no way it can charge the X1Y3, so for long sessions I might need to connect a charger to the X1Y3.   My question: while the 5V carrying USB-C docking cable from the Display Dock (HD500) is connected to the second TB3 port (i.e. not the DC in port), can I safely connect the official Lenovo charger directly to the TB3 charging port on my X1Y3 to top it off when needed? Or should I expect a bright flash and the smell of ozone? I'm hoping there's some kind of internal protection for these kinds of scenarios, but I hestitate to investigate this through trial and error.

I purchased this computer last year and it has been this way since I got it, but I finally wanna try to figure out what is going on.

I have a Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro (1370) with a Samsung 840 Evo SSD installed. It is running Windows 10.

From cold boot, it takes anywhere from 4-10 minutes to boot. Almost all of this time is spent with the Lenovo "boot splash screen" and the Windows 10 loading circle spinning. About 10 seconds before everything "boots" to my Windows log in, the screen flickers black. I know once it does this I have about 10 seconds to go.

I assumed there was something wrong with my Windows install, so two days ago I backed everything up and did a fresh Windows 10 Home install... I thought that would do it, but nope, still happening.

I attempted a BIOS update and a BIOS downgrade (a6cn58ww and a6cn56ww) and neither changed anything. I fiddled around with various BIOS settings too and nothing changed.

Is this an SSD problem? Or something else? My desktop has a similar SSD and it boots in about 12 seconds.

I've had good luck with HP computers, and recently ordered a new EliteDesk. The problem is, I paid a premium for next-day delivery. The unit was shipped from Texas (to Northern California) on May 25th. It is now May 31st, and I don't have it yet. FedEx dropped the ball and failed to deliver it today, and they say I'll have it tomorrow -- but in the course of my discussion with them, they said it was shipped GROUND. Because it was shipped ground, I am certainly entitled to a refund on the premium shipping charge that was billed to my credit card. But here's the real problem: As far as I can tell, there is NO page on the HP website that provides a phone number I can use to call and complain about this. I have looked and looked and looked. I would love it if some kind person would provide a customer support phone number so I can call and explain the problem to them. Or even a URL of the web page that has a phone number. I do quite understand that large corporations don't want to hear from customers after they have made a sale ... but in this case, if I don't get a commitment from HP to rescind the charge for next-day shipping, I'll have to have my Visa cancel the entire payment for the computer, and then where will we be? It will be a headache for everybody. So how about a phone number, eh?

I am building a new Haswell PC here on the right coast of the US, and need to ship it to the owner on the left coast - built, tested, and loaded.

Has anyone done this and have any tips to try and get it to it's destination in working condition?

The owner is fairly mechanically inclined, but has never worked inside a PC before, so I am wary of what I can ask her to do.
My main concern is we are considering a CoolerMaster Hyper 212 EVO, and I am concerned about the height of this thing creating enough leverage to tear the socket out if there was a jolt. I've considered removing it and then trying to walk her through installing it at her end but I'm not sure this is the best plan.
Or we could just stick with the stock heatsink and fan and not deal with the EVO.

Any experiences and tips would be appreciated!

Well if it was me I would get bunch of static free bubble wrap and stuff the inside of case so things don't move then wrap outside of case put in box then get bigger box and put more wrap between the two boxes. That should protect everything then make sure you put insurance on it for a value twice the amount of the package. Forgot to say to mark the box this side up so motherboard is on bottom of box.
