Q: Dell Backup and Recovery questions

Hi all,
How are you supposed to use the Check Recovery Media option in Dell Backup and Recovery?
1. When you create the Factory Backup media..At the end of the process it shows that the backup has been verified so do you only use the Check Recovery Media option if you have a problem with the backup later on?
2. When you Check recovery Media do you have to tick the USB flash drive at the create factory recovery media screen first (like you do when creating the factory media where a green tick comes up) before clicking on Check Recovery Media or do you go into the Check recovery Media screen first before inserting the USB flash drive. I notice that in the Check Recovery Media window there is a check recovery media box at the bottom of the screen but it doesn't do anything..its always greyed out
3.Can there be a slight difference in the size of the Factory recovery Media backups. I did one a couple of weeks ago..it was 7.97gb. I did another one yesterday so I had another backup and it was 7.96gb and I used all the same settings..I didn't change anything at all.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I bought a 128GB "PNY Attache 2 USB 2.0 Flash Drive" so that I could preform a "Bootable Backup" using "Dell Backup and Recovery" yet when I inserted the flash drive and selected Bootable Backup from the list it fails to detect the drive.  Bootable Backup says it requires "a storage USB storage device with more than 100GB of capacity so why doesn't "Bootable Backup" sense my USB flash drive since it has more than 100GB of space on it?

A:Dell Backup and Recovery's Bootable Backup Won't detect USB Flash Drive

Try updating your Dell Backup and Recovery software.  With the update it now seems to work with all USB flash drives I throw at it.

Hi everybody,
I have an Inspiron 7548 4K with W10 (upgraded from 8.1) and since a few days I've been having the following problem with DBAR (1.9.X.X). When I try to take a SYSTEM back up, it ALWAYS stops/fails to complete at 12% during the Backing Up module (checking system and building list complete OK). The message is "Operation Cancelled. Destination location unavailable or not enough space on the disk". It always happens at 12% of the process. I have tried it more than 10 times, with no avail. Further info:
1. The only change in my system was a W10 update of March 23, 2016. NOTHING else. Up until then everything worked fine.
2. Tried with both the external HDD with previous/existing backups AND a new/clean one. Both are 500 GB for backing up the internal 256 GB, so there is more than enough drive space. Also tried different usb ports in case one was malfunctioning.
3. Recovery media backup works fine. The problem is when it tries to proceed with system backup. I don't take data backups since I use cloud.
4. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling DBAR, keeping it below latest version 1.9.2.8. Same result.
Anybody?
Thanks,
Michael

Regrettably I learned too late that Dell Backup & Recovery 'might' encounter problems in Windows 10 if a user did not update 'DBaR' version 1.7 before an upgrade from Win 8.1 to Win 10. I have a Dell Inspiron 3647.
When I only select a few files to backup (e.g., pics, docs, printer software and a few apps) it would backup to my 32 GB USB flash error free.
But when I try a significant back up -- e.g., 8 GBs -- I get a display after 20 minutes, or so, that the backup created an error. [head scratch]
Even something less challenging for DBaR like running a Factory Recovery Media backup resulted in the same error. Yet using the Windows 10 Control Panel Recovery app completed a backup error free.
I tried more than one USB flash, I ran Dell Update, defragged my hard drive, disabled firewall and AV protection. Nothing seemed to help.
Am I correct to assume that Dell Backup & Recovery 'might' encounter problems in Windows 10?
Sure would be nice to at least backup costly apps like Microsoft Office.

I curently don't use Dell Backup and Recovery, and I don't run any Dell startup items or automatic services. I also don't have the Recovery Partition in my current deployment. Because the partition is missing, Dell Bu & Rec takes a while to start if I click on the tile. When it does start, it offers to rebuild my recovery environment. It looks like in the System Backup settings, I see under more options the following: Instant Restore status (currently turned to on) and statuses for Overlay Icon and Context Menu.

Because I don't run startups or automatic services, and because my Recovery Partition is missing, I wonder if it will do anything at all to turn off Instant Restore, Overlay Icon, and Context Menu. I don't like launching Sys Bu & Rec, but will do so if you think that turning off Instant Restore, Overlay Icon, and Context Menu will shut off additional features.

I have the same problem.
Recently I updated my PC from windows 8.1 to windows 10.After almost a month I returned back to windows 8.1 from windows 10.
When I tried to install dell backup and recovery (Backup-and-Recovery_Application_64M9D_WN32_1.8.1.71_A00) I got factory error 5.
I cannot refresh my PC from windows also. I am getting the error “could not find the recovery environment”.
Now in command prompt
1. reagentc/info

2. reagentc/enable

3. Exit and reboot.
After the reboot I tried to install dell backup and recovery again. Then also I got the same “factory setup error 5”.

Then I checked the reagent/info in command prompt after reboot. It shows it is disabled.

Please help me.
Thank you

Dear Dell,
I am trying to create recovery discs from "Dell backup and Recovery application" however when i was asked to insert the second DVD,the optical drive keeps rejecting the DVD. The application will not continue to burn the second DVD and appears to be frozen. I tyied with different brands/makers of DVD and also -/+ R. Unfortunately .Issue remains. I was able to find this article   593906  Published on 2013-01-21  ( relative link http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/kcs/document?c=us&cs=19&docid=593906&doclang=en&l=en&s=dhs   ). Although i have done the updates ,i am still not able to create recovery discs !!   Current Issue:  after inserting the  3rd Disc application gives the following message "Dbr.exe -No disc found" and stays there and rejects the DVD.  I spoke with Dell's Greek Support team. I was told that warranty does not cover sw support even if my unit is less than a week old. Furthermore i was informed that although "Dell backup and recovery" application says DELL is not actually a Dell product thus they can't support it. They suggested my to use windows 7 file recovery instead (which needs at least 8 DVDs !). As you can understand this is a workaround and not a Solution.
I hope that someone from Dell is going to look into it and revert with a specific answer and permanent solution.   (Model  : inspiron 15  3521)&... Read more

Hi ylikonomos,
You can try to uninstall and re-install Dell Backup and Recovery Manager and Dell Support Center. Follow these steps:

Press Windows+ 'X' key on the keyboard.
Select 'Programs and Features' from the context menu that appears on the left bottom corner.

Uninstall Dell Backup and Recovery Manager and Dell Support Center from the application list.

Hereafter, check the BIOS version installed on the laptop. Press Windows + 'R' key, type msinfo32 and press Enter.   Locate the BIOS version. If it is A04, the BIOS update is not required. If not, update BIOS. Before flashing the BIOS please check the following:* No external devices (printer, USB drive, SD card, DVD) should be connected.* All other programs should be closed and documents saved.* The AC adapter and battery should be connected during this process. The battery should be 10% or more than 10% charged.
Here is the link for BIOS update: http://dell.to/VBwSAh. The laptop will reboot after this update. Visit this link: http://dell.to/VBz1fr and click Dell Support Center. Download and install the application. Once done, visit this link: http://bit.ly/UUjIs0 and install Dell Backup and Recovery Manager. Reboot the computer and check if you are able to create the recovery media.
Please try these steps and share the status.

Hello,

I was considering reformatting my HDD in my laptop. Here are my questions/concerns. I am also going to be switching from windows xp home to windows xp pro.

1. If I copy the entire contents of my HDD to a external HDD drive, and don't like the new install, can I remove the laptop HDD and put it in an external case, hook that and the back up external hdd to a second computer and do a direct copy back to the drive and restore everything to its original standings?

2. I don't have the installation CD's for my computer , and HP charges about fifty dollars, and this program drivermax is supposed to download save all your drivers for reinstallation after a format. Anyone have experience with this program for backing up their drivers? I can download the drivers from HP website as a backup precaution.

3. Is XP pro worth going to the trouble of a reformat?

Will post more if I remember, thanks in advance for any ideas

Before I updated my laptop to Windows 10 I created a factory recovery media with Dell Backup and Recovery as suggested by Dell.  The upgrade went very well, but now I am getting reminders from Dell to update my recovery media.  However, when I use Dell Backup and Recovery and click the Update Your Recovery Media option, it always says near the end of the update that an error occurred during the process.  What is the cause of this error?  Is it possible to create another factory recovery media using the same USB drive that I used to create the current one, i.e. overwrite the current recovery data with new data?  Thanks for any information.

I bought a new Dell i3847 and it has Windows 7 Pro 64bit factory installed on it.
I wanted to do a full system backup, but the Dell Backup and Recovery software will not allow me to do a system backup.  Further, I have been unable to create a system recovery disk using Dell Backup and Recovery.
I can't use the Dell provided system disk for recovery because it is clearly marked Windows 8.1

1) Why is a Win 8.1 disk included with a Win 7 Pro 64bit system?
2) What is wrong with Dell Backup and Recovery that it:
a) can't create a factory recovery disk
b) won't allow me to create a system back up so I can return it to the factory state

Help!

It's been 2.5 hours and it is still "initializing disk" to create a factory recovery.  It usually fails somewhere during initialization or writing.    Spending hours for each failed attempt to create a factory recovery disk is NOT GOOD!

A:Dell Dell Backup and Recovery 1.8.1.71 failure

What version of Dell Backup--free or paid? Did it come installed on the new computer? Don't use old versions on the new computer. Make sure you have an external hard drive connected to save backups. You cannot backup to the computer's own hard drive since that is the drive that is being backed up. When the drive fails, the backup fails too.
You don't need to use Dell backup alone. You can use Backup that comes with Windows. It's called File History. Windows also has System Image Backup on the File History page. That will save everything on the hard drive including the Recovery partition. Save the image on the external hard drive.

Hi everyone, I was looking for some help to answer a few somewhat basic questions. I have read around looking before posting but I was just hoping to get some more direct answers. I have a Dell Inspirion 1525 laptop that the harddrive went dead in. I dont have too much on the computer and I know I should have backed it up I only really need the pictures on it, which isn't too many, maybe around 400? I would like some other things, but their really not necessary. Anyhow, can someone tell me the easiest way to do all this. I know I need to purchase a new harddrive (obviously haha) but that comes last i suppose. I know I can retrieve through blank cd's. I have some knowledge of computers but pretty basic and I started reading into that option (ubuntu) but it seemed somewhat hard and complicated...Is this true? I know I could take it somewhere, but since I dont have much money right now, and dont need that much from it, was hoping I could just do it myself. I know I can buy an external hard drive and use that, but since i already have to buy another hard drive, that would just be more money, although i guess for many its worth it... any ideas on the price? Are there any other options I have is my main question? I do have a desktop computer, but its really really old and I dont think there is any memory left on it. I have 2 other laptops in my household (not mine).
I called a computer repair place around me and the man said he could take the old hard drive out and they... Read more

I am getting ready to look at a dell laptop later today and I have a few questions.
Im sorry that I cant give some of the specifics until later today but I wanted to get this post started as I dont generally work with OEM systems.

This is a Dell laptop with XP media Center edition on it.
I know offhand that it has a Intel proc. if that helps
More on that later:

At boot it goes straight to a command screen that says
"windows can not start hal.dll needs to be installed"
No Safe mode
No command prompt
No last know good configuration

The situation started during a system cleanup and defrag as I was told but as usual there is no way to be certain.

I did manage to get to the system partition and ran its tests and all initial tests passed.
I went in a little deeper and the S.M.A.R.T. short test failed.
Im not certain if it is turned on in th bios until later, to determine if that is the cause.

She had not provided the AC cord and I could not continue until I get it later today along with the disks.

Personally I would rather do a repair install than a complete reinstall if possible
but I have been told that data loss is not a problem if needed.

I am also not sure of any service packs either installed or on the disks just yet so SFC may still be an option.

My questions are:
In the system partition I didnt see any option to do a system recovery.
She has disks that came with the computer but would there still be a recovery option on the s... Read more

How long should the reinstallation and first running of DB&R take after complete reinstallation of windows 8.1 64 bit?
This was attempted after a new mother board and SSD fitted by an engineer. The programme downloaded ok and asked for a restart so did that. It then started a 4 stage process automatically.
1. Preparing Recovery Environment (this took about 6 mins)
2. Creating the Base Image (had not finished this stage after 10 hours)
3. Preparing Hard disk

I used Dell Backup & Recovery to make two sets of recovery media (USB and Discs) for my Dell laptop running Windows 8.1 and both were successful.
However after this I noticed on my C: drive there was a folder named "System Recovery" that was created the same time as the recovery media. I cannot access this folder as I dont have permissions (although I am the system administrator) and the folder owner is showing as "unable to display current owner" and/or "unknown".
I know this folder is related to Dell Backup & Recovery but why, as the administrator, can't I have access to it.  I want to delete this folder, so how do I do that?

No. Once the recovery partition is gone, there is no way to get it back.

At this point, use a disk imaging software to make an image of your entire hard drive so that you can recover quickly should your hard drive go bad.

Hi everyone.
I have a Dell Inspiron 3543 laptop. This laptop came with both the pre-installed Dell Backup&Recovery software and with a DVD disk that includes the data to format my laptop. I think both of them make the same operation: they install the factory settings and format my laptop. (Sorry for my illiteracy about these terms and issues). Until now, I have only used the pre-installed Dell Backup&Recovery to format my laptop.
Now, since the Dell Backup&Recovery software slows down my computer, I want to delete it. And if I need to format my laptop, I am planning to use my DVD disk. However, I am not sure whether I will be able to use the DVD disk if I uninstall the Dell Backup&Recovery software. And this is what I want to ask you. (My concern is that if I delete this software, I don't know whether my laptop will be able to read this DVD disk and format my laptop. I don't know whether this DVD disk can operate without the Dell Backup&Recovery software.) Does anyone know about this? Thank you very much in advance for help.

I made a factory image recovery on a USB using Dell Backup and Recovery.
I am in need of it after getting the poweliks virus on the computer, and feel as though a clean slate would be best right now.
I loaded up the program and went into "Recovery" but the program only recognizes the image that is the location called "Local" which I would guess is a separate partition for this purpose but I would like to use the one on the USB instead.
I don't know why the program won't read/load the USB as a recovery option. In "My Computer" the USB is read as "Factory Image Recovery" with the Dell Recovery icon.
Anyone know what I can do?
I am use to the old XP re-format and have *never* used a factory image or any recovery programs before.

Thanks for your time in advance!

I'm not too savvy about tech stuff; please have mercy on me! LOL,
I have a Dell Optiplex 780 running Windows 7 Pro. Other than it's 64-bit and was refurbished when it was purchased for me 3 or 4 yrs ago, I don't know anything else, and can't find out because it won't boot.
I have been having issues recently (within the last six months) with it slowing down and sometimes shutting off due to "a thermal event" (does that mean it's getting too hot?) so I decided to back up and restore it completely. I did the backup on a USB flash drive, which took all day and a 64GB to complete, then I was ready to restore. (I'm using the Dell Backup and Recovery Basic.) When I started it, it said to create a system restore media; I don't have an external hard drive so I was going to use a flash drive, but it needed 32GB of space and the only drive I had big enough was the one I did the backup on! I went and got DVD-R discs, and got to work. It took 9 of the 10 pack I bought, and about 6 hours to complete it, but I did it! Then I began the restore process. I went through inserting all 9 discs, and went I got to the end of the final one, up pops an error message. I didn't know what the error message was, there was no explanation, so I went ahead and clicked OK. The computer hummed for a second, then shut off and restarted. It said "Loading files", then I got the message "Boot Manager not found, press ctrl-alt-dlt to restart&... Read more

How long is the license good for? is it a subscription, or one time purchase?

Thanks

A:Dell Backup and Recovery Premium License

Hi,
Dell back up and recovery is a license, not a subscription.
One time purchase and you can use it on the same PC however you can only uninstall and reinstall 10 times.
No expiration date or renewal.
Thank you.

Hello!
The backup usb flash was prepared for Vostro 3750 on Windows 7 using Dell Backup and Recovery Manager. After the booting from this usb flash manager can only proceed using factory image:

The custom image is visible but manager cannot proceed if it is chosen:

- the button is inactive. I would be grateful for the solution.

A:Dell Backup and Recovery Manager cannot proceed

Images you make must be on external hard drives, not flash drives. The recovery flash drive allows you to boot the computer and then select the external drive with the image. The flash drive doesn't contain the image. Your factory restore image is probably no longer available.

I'm dealing with two Inspiron 3847's that have identical hardware.
PC #1 is running a factory-installed Win 8.1 and is waiting in the queue for Win 10.  On this system I used Dell Backup and Recovery from the start menu and chose Factory Recovery Media.  Contents of the resulting USB flash drive was:

Boot
File Folder

EFI
File Folder

preload
File Folder

AOUTORUN
Setup Information

BOOTMGR
File

BOOTMGR.EFI
File

MASTER
Text Document

Media
Icon

PC #2 is running Win 10, upgraded from a factory installed Win 8.1.  On this one I used:
Control Panel->System and Security->File History->Recovery->Create a Recovery Drive
I chose the option to copy the recovery partition.   Contents of this USB flash drive was:

boot
File Folder

efi
File Folder

sources
File Folder

bootmgr
File

bootmgr.efi
File

reagent
XML Document

Both flash drives show the exact amount of space used - just over 10 Gb.
So what's the difference?   OS differences aside, should these two recovery drives be functionally equivalent for their respective PCs?
By the way, I used the File History option on the Win 10 system because I could no longer even find how to run D.B.R.  But I see discussions in the community about upgrades to this application for Windows 10 so I guess it's supposed to be there somewhere - yes/no?

I have a Dell laptop running Windows 8.1 x64 with UEFI boot. I've been having problems with the Dell Backup & Recovery Utility showing errors. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the program but this results in additional partitions being created on the hard drive! I now have 10 partitions on the hard drive ( mostly small) - see the enclosed reports.

Is there a way of reconfiguring the partitions on the hard drive to the configuration of a standard Windows 8 installation without having to wipe the disk and reinstall everything? I have Paragon Partition Manager and Paragon Backup in addition to using the Microsoft utilities (DISKPART). Note the laptop operates normally despite the extra partitions.

DISKPART Report:

Partition ### Type Size Offset
------------- ---------------- ------- -------
Partition 1 System 500 MB 1024 KB
Partition 2 OEM 40 MB 501 MB
Partition 3 Reserved 128 MB 541 MB
Partition 4 Recovery 750 MB 669 MB
Partition 5 Primary 911 GB 1419 MB
Partition 10 Recovery 900 MB 913 GB
Partition 9 Recovery 900 MB 913 GB
Partition 6 Recovery 450 MB 914 GB
Partition 7 Recovery 8 GB 915 GB
Partition 8 OEM 8 GB 923 GB

A:Dell Backup & Recovery Keeps Creating Partitions

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the program but this results in additional partitions being created on the hard drive!

Stop using the Dell Backup and Recovery program - every time you install it It creates the OEM factory recovery.. It is known as First Run Software..

Good to run after a clean install to create the factory option..

The problem now is determining which partitions are good and in uses.. (which ones to remove)

I have a Venue 11 Pro (7130 Pro/7139 Pro) and I was trying to make a new recovery drive before I upgraded to Windows 10.  Everytime I tried using the Dell Backup and Recovery software (Basic) the program was locking up or giving an error.  I also noticed it had an error the other night when it tried to install an update.  Today I uninstalled DBAR and downloaded the most current version available, Backup-and-Recovery_Application_GX7TX_WN32_1.9.2.8_A00.EXE.  Now, every time I try to install it, I get an error, "Factorysetup Error 6" and the program won't install.
I searched Google and the best that I came up with is a forum relating to "Factorysetup Error 5": http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/software-os/f/4677/t/19538385.  I tried some of the fixes listed there, but to no avail.  I tried the C:\REAGENTC /info but my Windows RE status: was Enabled already.  I even tried disabling and reenabling, but that didn't work.  I also tried right-clicking the installer and running it as an Administrator but that didn't work either.
I have attached the log file from the most recent failed installation.  Any help anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your assistance!!!

Hello. I am having a few problems with my laptop. When i first started it up, I did a factory reset once by going into Dell Backup & Recovery (version 1.6.0.3, preloaded) located in the Troubleshoot options. it was a Windows 8.1, once the reset was complete, i decided to upgrade to Windows 10 i didn't update any drivers and applications before i upgraded to W10.
Once upgraded, i went to the dell website downloaded a couple of the latest drivers and BIOS. I installed them and updated the Dell Backup & Recovery (1.9.2.8) for Windows 8.1; I did this because in the Windows 10 tab didn't have a DB&R install, so i just went to the W8.1 tab and took that. I did not uninstall the old one that was left over from Windows 8.1.
Once that was done i went into the program and it told me to update it, which i did and then it told me to create a recovery media, i did this with a USB stick and all was fine. I went into the troubleshoot options to reset the PC, and the option for DB&R was not there. Because that option wasn't there i knew something was wrong and decided to downgrade to Windows 8.1 just to fix this issue.
So instead i booted up into the recovery USB i created with the latest DB&R and factory reset there. Then there was a error and then the laptop had shutdown. I booted it up again and continued to factory reset from USB again. This time there was no problems. Windows reinstalled all fine, with all original loaded stuff, but the DB&R opti... Read more

With Win10, I have created a System Repair disk for my laptop and plan to also use the Win10 option to create a full system backup.
Question: Will this be enough to fully re-image my laptop if that is a catastrophic HD failure?
On a Win7 Dell laptop,  Dell also provided a System Backup/Recovery capability but I can not find that on my Win10 system?...has it been discontinued or do I now have to order it?
Any advice and guidance would be great.

A:Win10 Dell Inspiron System Backup/Recovery

With a Win 10 system, if the system is capable, you can reset your install to a new hard drive and have a Factory install.  I may keep some of your settings if you choose but it will basically be as it came from the factory.  By capable, I mean one set up to allow for the OEM utilities in the recovery partition being able to be copied over to the Recovery drive along with the Win 10 image.
If you want something to recover to your current install you will need an image.  I use the one in Windows but it is limited in some aspect.  Others suggest using a third party imaging software.
I don't think the Dell backup software is available on the Win 10 systems..

Hello, Not really sure where to Post? or which thread ? A little history
Dell 8700 Desk Top purchased 2014 came with Windows 8.1
Dell support/tech had done many remote assistance while on warranty with backups.
Scary part I Believe Dell had called me stating noticing some sort of server issues (Scam) I was reluctant at first to interact or allow Remote Access. But very weirdly he was able to know just about everything Dell would know about all other Tech Support/Dates/Issues/E-mails/from time of purchases, convincing me of actually being Dell, let him do Remote Access supposedly to do clean/tune up and said server issues. Ran several 3rd party Pc cleaning Apps, Fixed? server issue? then proceeded to want to sell Their magical Pc Program, that would replace all Virus/Pc Tune up/Fix Computer issues. At that point I disconnected Bailed. I called Dell to inquire about Phone Call Representing Dell, they replied No we would never do that! You should've stuck with your gut instinct. NO PC vendor or OS vendor well ever call you.....EVER!

My advice: First disconnect from the internet...turn off your modem/router (unplug it). Next, save any data (mainly pictures and important documents) to external media (I like large thumb drives) the rest of it can be downloaded and reinstalled.

Now, do a factory reset.
Restore the computer's software to original condition.
An external peripheral is a device that connects to a port on the front, side or back of the computer, like a printer or memory key.

Turn on the computer.
As the computer starts, press < F8 > on the keyboard until the Advanced Boot Options menu appears on the screen.
You must press before the Windows logo appears on the screen. If you press after the Windows logo appears on the screen, the Advanced Boot Options menu will not appear on the screen. If you do not see the Advanced Boot Options menu, restart the computer, and then repeat this step until you see the menu on the screen.
Press the < Down Arrow > on the keyboard to select Repair Your Computer on the Advanced Boot Options menu, and then press < Enter >.
Specify the language settings that you want, and then click Next.
Log in as a user who has administrative credentials, and then click OK.
Click Dell Factory Image Restore.
In the Dell Factory Image Restore window, click Next.

I have backed up to a USB drive with a system image of windows using the backup and restore of 7. Now my XPS 15 comes with a recovery partition. I am concerned that if I ever used the recovery from windows system image, it would destroy the recovery partition?

So can I safely use the windows image?

A:Windows backup - Will it destroy the Dell recovery partition?

Providing you only backed up the Windows partition and not the recovery partition then a system restore from your backed-up image, will leave the Dell recovery partition untouched, as far as I'm aware.

If I'm wrong, you can rest assured the cavalry will be along to put me right!
