I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

A: M720Q Compatible M.2 Wifi/Bluetooth Card

AC 9260 may work, however AC 8265 is listed in the system specs, and was shown as the wireless option when I run the purchasing configurator today.

A:Replace WiFi PCIe card with WiFi/Bluetooth combo card.

Given that there will be no antenna inside the system for bluetooth, you're better off with one of these:

My bluetooth keyboards and mice randomly disconnect often.  My headset audio loses sync with video. Other times audio is fine but video lags to a crawl but immediately fixes once my bluetooth device is disconnected. I've tried updating drivers..etc and can't seem to solve the problem. I'd rather just buy a new card and see if that solves everything. Can someone please recommend a great card that would be compatible with my computer. 802.11ac preferably
Dell XPS 8700, Windows 10

A:Can someone recommend a compatible bluetooth card for XPS 8700

I would add a PCIe adapter card with antennas on the back: like this:
search ebay for this "wireless mini pcie to pcie adapter" and you'll find several for about $10 USD.
and then add in a mini pcie card of your choosing: I think I'd choose this one:
intel dual band wireless-ac 7260HMW WiFi+Bluetooth 4.0 PCIe Half Mini Wifi Card
New on ebay for about $25 USD.
I'd expect drivers from Intel would work without any issues, but Windoze 10 will take care of the drivers anyway weather you like it or not.

can the flex 2 14 inch wifi card be user upgraded to 802.11AC compatible wifi card, and if so could you tell me the compatible part?  is it dual band? Thanks in advance, that is the thing holding me from making a purchase before the April 1st deadline of current sale.

A:can Flex 2 14 wifi card be upgraded to AC compatible card?

Three years late.  The answer is "Yes!" The Lenovo Flex 2 14/15 can be upgraded with a compatible wireless-AC card. The card detailed below can be installed successfully in the Flex 2-14 and it's pretty much a plug-n-play device under Windows 10. Drivers are installed automagically so that the 2GHz and 5GHz wireless and Bluetooth can be accessed. I have two Lenovo Flex 2 laptops each running this exact wireless card. Make sure the wireless card you install matches the details listed below. Or else you'll get an "incompatible wireless module detected" error message when you try to boot the laptop. Name: Intel Dual-Band Wireless-AC 3160Model: 3160NGWFCC ID: PD93160NGUTA: H45043-003FRU: 04X6076EC: 770009 A genuine "Lenovo branded" Intel Dual-Band Wireless-AC 3160 wireless card can be purchased from: http://us.eetgroup.com/i/04X6076-Lenovo-Wireless-Module I've attached a picture of the correct wireless card.

So I bought my laptop, a Pavilion 17-f113dx a little over 3 years ago.  I am swapping the drive for an ssd drive and I thought while I go to all the trouble of disassembling the laptop that I would change out the wifi card with a dual wifi/bluetooth card to improve wireless performance. I understand that there may be a whitelist in the bios of compatabile cards for a laptop this old.  Where would I be able to find that list?  Or is there a solution short of installing a hacked bios?

A:Compatible wifi dual card for 17-f113dx

Hi: There is no whitelist, but there is almost a bigger problem... 1. The notebook requires extensive disassembly to get to the wireless card.  If you can overcome that, then #2 is the killer. 2.  On most of these newer HP notebooks with single band wlan cards, there is only one antenna connected to the card, and there isn't a second one present. A dual band card such as the Intel 7260 N or AC requires 2 antennas to work. It will take even more disassembly including the display panel area to run the 2nd antenna. Do not rely on the picture in the service manual which normally shows two antennas. You will need to physically inspect your notebook's situation before buying a replacement card. If it has two antennas, then you are good to go. I would recommend the Intel 7260 dual band N or AC card for your 3 year old notebook.

My fiancee and I currently have the Dell Inspiron 17R SE laptop with the Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230, and it has worked for a few months now up until the Monday of last week. While on the internet, my fiancee was noticing her wifi speed slowed down to a crawl. She performed speed tests to find out that the speed was not as high as it used to be. She updated drivers for the computer, as well as removed any clutter that would cause the wifi slowdown.
When we tried many options, they did not give us the results that we were looking for. Finally, after some process of elimination, we concluded that our wifi card needed a replacement. I don't want to get any old card to use and then find out that it doesn't fit or is not compatible with Windows 10. I have been taking my time to research what could be compatible to improve my laptop computer, but I have been coming up short.

What I would like to know is what wifi cards are compatible with our Dell computer so that we can get this replaced as soon as possible without having to pay out the nose for unneeded computer repair?

Hello everyone,

I just bought the Wireless N PCI Adapter (TL-WN851ND) from TP-LINK for my Windows 10 PC. It says that it's compatible for Windows 7/Vista/XP but it doesn't say Windows 10 on there. I thought that since it works on Windows 7, it will probably work on Windows 10 aswell, but since I inserted the card and have it running my computer freezes randomly and gives me a blue screen sometime later. The blue screen also says MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION. Sometimes when I turn the PC on it will freeze and go to the blue screen while loading Windows 10.

Is there any possible way to make this adapter compatible for Windows 10 without it freezing all the time which leads to me having to reboot the computer over and over again?

A:Making a hardware for Windows7 compatible with Windows10 (Wifi card)

When I tried to install the driver that came with the hardware it said that it doesn't work on this operating system (Windows 10).
I installed a different random driver that I found in the internet, but it still freezes every now and then.

Hi Guys,

I'm currently trying to work out a problem regarding my WiFi card on my L670-14M.

The old Wifi card died on us, so I decided to buy a Intel 7620 card to replace it. This installed fine, and is recognized by the device manager, and I can now find the wifi card in the adapter settings menu.

Unfortunately, I'm unable to go any further. The wireless logo in the corner appears, but with a red "X" through it.

I've tried:
Disabling and enabling the cardUsing the FN+F8 key combinationUpdating the BIOSRunning the troubleshooter (It tells me to switch on the WiFi capabilities via a switch on the computer or the FN keys. I have no switch and the FN key combination doesn't work.I've also attempted to clear the TCP/IP stack to no avail.

All I can guess now is that the card is either incompatible with this laptop, or maybe there's something in the registry that could be changed/removed to help? I've tried several different cards too (as this is a work laptop and we've bought the cards in bulk) and it's not due to a faulty card.

Thanks,

I am building a car PC out of an AMD E350 motherboard (link below...), which has mini PCIe & SO-DIMM slots as opposed to standard expansions & RAM. It is a simple, low power system, ideal for the application. I believe Win8 is the perfect platform for the application as well, since it works nicely with a touchscreen-oriented interface.

I bought a WiFi/bluetooth combo card off of eBay (link also below), but thus far, the WiFi isn't working. The BT works fine, but the wireless does not.

I verified that the driver is installed & working in Device Manager, but Windows does not give me the option to connect to a wireless network. In my Network Connections dialog, it only shows the wired LAN and the BT.

I am willing to accept the fact that the wireless driver is not compatible with Win8, but also wonder if it is a problem with the card?

A:Trouble with WiFi/Bluetooth card

*update*

Actually, I just double checked, and the driver is NOT installed for the Wi-Fi card. I was looking at the driver for the regular LAN controller. I was tricked because it is a MoBo integrated LAN controller, but the driver labels it as a Realtek PCIe.

I did download the driver exe from Realtek and I also tried the one from HP. Neither seems to load the WiFi functionality of this card.

Also, if it helps, the card is a Realtek branded for certain HP laptops.

i have been through about 3 wifi cards in the spand of 2 laptops looking for the best range and speed without the interference. i had a realtek dualband wifi card with bluetooth and i sold that to get a a Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 expecting that this would be the top of the line in wifi standards. i mainly sold my realtek because a issue with buletooth, if im using the wifi and i connect my bluetooth headset to the laptop the sound would be choppy and laggy. so when i got my Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 i was amazed that this "was" no longer the issue. i connected my HBS-900 and walked out my apartment and down the hall and the bluetooth was clean! but it seems that now perhaps driver change the bluetooth on my Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 is also bad. i cant even step 2 feet away from my laptop without it cracking to hell, at 3 feet and not facing the laptop i disconnect. it was never like that before and i know its not my headset because when i connect it to my phone its flawless, and i connected another bluetooth adapter and tried and its fine. the issue is that when the wifi is on theirs too much interference and yes when i connect to a 5g network the issue is greatly reduced but for me 5g is mostly not a option. i was wondering if theirs a such thing as a shielded internal wifi? wouldn't think so... i would just love if i could use the bluetooth and the wifi flawlessly. i already for another reason plan to get a Alfa AC1200 external wifi adapter... Hi, I have a XPS 13 9343 (i5/QHD) purchased refurbished from 3rd party, recently installed clean W10.
The Dell tool indicates to me that I should be installing:
9343_Network_Driver_WD22T_WN32_7.35.333.0_A03.EXE
Installing I get failure log at the bottom.
Via Device Manager as mentioned the WiFi adapter under Network is not there, scanning for hardware changes does not help.
I have tried manually installing inf files but I don't get any options under "Model" when I try to install it through legacy hardware.
I'm starting to think the Wifi/Bluetooth component is either faulty or entirely missing from the vendor (I have not opened it up and wouldn't know how to diagnose this myself).
I've attached a separate wifi dongle which works as does connecting to Ethernet via a USB adapter.
Any other ideas of what it could be? Thanks.

Hi: I have the 6930p which has the same bluetooth radio and chipset as your model. You had to make sure that when you upgraded to W10, that the Bluetooth radio was turnd on, and that you had uninstalled the HP wireless assistant or HP connection manager software. If the BT radio was turned off by either of those programs when you upgraded to W10, you will not be able to turn it back on unless you go back to W7, turn the bluetooth on using the connection manager or HPWA software, then uninstall the software, restart the PC, verify the BT radio is still on and then reinstall W10. The BT radio in my 6930p works fine on W10, and shows up in the device manager because I made sure of the above, before upgrading to W10.

I've got a Lenovo laptop had for awhile worked fine with wifi but now it is says (The capability of your adaptor does not match the requirements of this netwok) what does that mean and what can I do to fix it please help

A:computer says not compatible with wifi wat to do

Welcome to Seven Forums,

If it was previously working try a System Restore, restore it to a point when it was working.

If that didn't work, remove all wireless profiles stored in your computer, then re-add the SSID or wireless network that you wish to be connected to and make sure that you type in the correct pass-phrase.
How to remove the existing wireless network profile in Windows 7 - Welcome to TP-LINK

An update will be appreciated.

I am trying to connect my desk top to a mobile hotspot. I bought a netgear n150 wireless usb adapter and get message an error has been encounter and then a restart any ideas?

A:what wifi adapter is compatible with windows 8

Go to the manufacturer's website and see if there's an updated driver available.
I upgraded to Win 8 on a new computer that has a Ralink wireless card. It would only connect randomly. A trip to the Ralink site and newest driver solved the problem.
Jim

UPDATE: Here I found this - right near the top under downloads is a Win 8 beta driver. Read the instructions to install.

Hi, I'm trying to install Intel Wireless Display Software (American, International) 4.2.19.0 Rev.D 23 Sep 2014 downloaded from the HP support center for my computer. The installation starts but after a few seconds a message comes "The platform is not compatible with Intel WiDi. The Driver for wireless access can't find or download the necessary components for Intel WiDi". From the Intel website (http://ark.intel.com/products/81015/Intel-Core-i7-4510U-Processor-4M-Cache-up-to-3_10-GHz) I can see that WiDi is supported for the processor I have. Do I need to change my driver for the Wireless card? Which one should I change to?

Hello, I have a mediatek RT3290LE WiFi+Bluetooth card installed on my 4440s ProBook. It has poor driver support on linux. Can I switch to Intel Centrino 2230/6235? I understand there some laptops restricted by bios to use only certain cards, and any advice on what cards would likely work would be helpful. Thank you.     From Manual: From support page:
