Error trying to access Microsoft.com

Q: Error trying to access Microsoft.com

Every time I try to access Microsoft.com or any of its branches I am faced with the message "Oops! Internet Explorer could not find www.microsoft.com" and in the google search box below it says "microsoft isapi redir" for some reason. Also in the Adress box at the top it has the url "http://www.microsoft.com/isapi/redir.dll?prd=ie&pver=6.0&ar=aboutie&sba=copyr" . This doesn't work on google chrome or IE. I have the IE version 6.0 and because of the fault I can not update it any further, neither can I update anything else on this computer (Compaq Presario). PLEASE HELP.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I'm trying to plan an event for school and I keep getting this Referential Integrity error message. I am trying to make a One-To-Many Relationship between the Clients Table & Events Table. The error message reads:

"Microsoft Access can't create the relationship & enforce referential integrity. Data in the table 'Events' violates referential integrity rules."

I tried to upload a screen shot but it was too big for the attachment so I can't do that I guess.

Please help me out. Would I need a foreign key for this to work? Just wondering.

I tried installing a trial version of Living Cookbook on my desktop computer and it would not run. The following errors popped up. I installed the same program on my Laptop with the same windows 7 64bit configuration as my desktop and it ran fine. The only difference between the 2 computers is the laptop has Windows 7 home premium and my desktop has Windows 7 professional. Both computers have been fully updated with the latest Microsoft updates and are Malware and virus free. I don't know why the desktop is giving me this error when the laptop works fine. I have tried running this in Administrator mode, in window xp compatible mode all with same results. It ran with no configurations on my laptop.
I Googled MDAC 2.6 and all versions seem to be for XP systems. Again what ever is on my laptop doesn?t seem to be on my desktop.

Have you tried going to Start> Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Computer Management. It sounds like there's a corrupted file or a service is denying you access. You are the Administrator of windows? After trying the first scenario go to Start>Run and type services.msc and when the services window opens make sure Event Log, Windows Management Instrumentation(WMI), and Remote Procedure Call (RPC) are started and not disabled. It occurs if I try to open the database right after I perform a docmd.quit on the same database and it closes out. Not sure what would cause this error. Thanks!

A:Microsoft Access 2000 Error Opening DB

Did you create the database? If not go to the database creater / administrator, otherwise cut out all the sensitive data, and attach a copy to this thread. It's probably something to do with the way the database is set-up.

Haven't come across this myself, may be a common known issue.

Hello,
I have a relatively new install of windows because I formatted a few weeks ago so I had a clean start with my new hardware. The only problem it seems is before I could get antivirus and things patched a virus or something caught me.

I dont think my computer is updating anymore and some applications have recently started to crash and my computer has sporadically turned off a few times this week and the temps were fine so i know it was not that.

I can not get to the microsoft update website, because when I try to go there firefox will open and direct me to the site.

I was getting an error on startup saying rundll32 could not find a file that AVG deleted and the files was called dll32 and sm. I will work on finding out what it used to be called.

I have an application called Prio installed which is a great extension to task manager that expands it abilities and it showed that I have unsigned versions of svchost, alg, and wimprvse running and some other unverified processes that are running under system.
The other suspicious proccess is unsecapp.exe

There are also quite a few open connections sitting on listen for my computer if needed I can put up a wireshark analysis.

Right now I have AVG, ad-aware, a-squared, and Secunia PSI installed.
A-squared pick up some files that AVG seemed to miss yesterday when I installed it so that got me concerned with AVG.

Thank you in advance.

Hello all,

my browser first asks me to sign in and click which account I would like to use. I click my desired account, and it briefly redirects to the Microsoft Developer API Access page, but then after a split-second it redirects me back to the sign-in page. Is it
a requirement to have a specific type of email associated with the Microsoft account in order to get past this?

Hello. I created a database, which is split between front end and back end. I was able to make copies of the database and have it tailored to each of our branches. For each user, I had to create a copy of the front end and link it to the back end from their machines. This was done for 3 of the branches (besides head office) on 3 computers in each branch over a OneDrive. At the head office, where the original files were created, everything works fine. However, in the branches, 2 out of 3 branches are giving me an error on the fields which pull the "Current User" and the "Date/Time". I am confused because all fields seem to be working fine on some computers but not other others. Please help.

Since no one else answered this one yet I guess I'll take a shot.

I would suspect there is a field being mapped to a field/variable of the wrong type. Do you have an aggregate function on a non-numeric field that's mapping into a field of the same type as the original instead of a numeric field that would hold the result of the aggregate?

If I open a blank database & try to import objects from the corrupted database, I cannot access/view the objects of the corrupted file from the blank database. Unfortunately, I dont have a backup of the file, I can try to restore to an earlier storage point (using System Restore), but will lose considerable work. Any ideas?

On Windows7 Pro,  trying to run IIS.  The way I am used to execute is  on the browser "localhost".  I used to have the code in the directory  C:\inetpub\wwwroot.   Even before I copy,  I am hoping to see
the image IIS welcome page.  Once it is successful, want to copy the code as that was the way I used to do in Window XP.    However I am getting the following message.  I have administrator access to the machine and gave full permissions
to the folder  'C:\inetpub\wwwroot'.  Still the same message.
Error message 401.3: You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials you supplied (access denied due to Access Control Lists). Ask the Web server's administrator to give you access to 'C:\inetpub\wwwroot'.

Can someone help me to address this issue.  Thanks a lot in advance.

Hi guys, first off I haven't been here for help in years literally this was the first place I thought of because a few years ago many generous people helped me solve my problem, this place is awesome. Please pardon me as I am only decently literate with computers but try my best.

Ok I am trying to solve an annoying problem for my parent's computer. My dad was typing a normal document in Microsoft Word (OS is XP with System Pack 2, and it is Word 2002) and he said that just yesterday for the first time, after typing for maybe a half hour, a window would pop up with a "runtime error" and it would freeze untill he clicked ok on it, and it would then shut down loosing all his work that he didn't save.

So I got on the computer and opened Microsoft Word, and was able to duplicate the problem time after time but not every single time. When I simply open word, then click to close Word, the box appears, and he verified it is the same box he saw. It says exactly as follows, no more, no less, and every time reads the same -

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
Program:C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office 10\WINWORD.EXE
abnormal program termination

So I tried to research it, and came across a fix on Microsoft's support site saying remove something called COM Add-ins. I did so by following each step removing the one COM add in i found, and it did not resolve the problem at all. It still errors out. SO I grabbed the master disk and un... Read more

First, welcome back!!! (although, vaguely, it's like seeing your cousin after many years at a funeral...nice to see you, sorry about the circumstances....)
Well, this isn't fun - the more I looked, the more "answers" and causes I found...

Hello. I've searched high and low for answers, tried many suggestions, but haven't had any luck in resolving.
Symptoms:
1. OneDrive explorer won't display in Modern UI (tries to load, shows splash screen/logo initially, but in a flash, turns black / displays blank/black screen and just hangs there. however, OneDrive does appear in left pane of my Windows Explorer, and in
Charm/PC Settings/Accounts & OneDrive all settings appear correct, ie connected to my Microsoft account, shows Used vs Free cloud storage space available, etc...)
2. When I check onedrive.com, recent files created on my computer and saved to c:\users\[myusername]\OneDrive\etc... are not syncing/uploading automatically as they're supposed to.

Things I've tried:

sfc /scannowchkdsk /f /rControl Panel/Troubleshooting/ProgramsRan AppsDiagnostic.diagcab & onedrivets.diagcab tool/utilities

I use Access to run a database of customers I have. I want to be able to enter quotes for customers and have a list of these quotes show up by customer. Here is the basics.

When I quote something to a customer, I want to enter the quote in for storage. The I want to be able to "click" a button and pull up just all quotes for that customer is a report.

Also, how can I set up a search page that will allow me to search inventory by any value and have the reply form show me the customer info along w/ the quotes and inventory.

I recently experienced a problem that lead me to believe that my computer had been infected with a virus or malware. Now I am not so sure.

About a week ago I noticed that I could not go to any Microsft websites. I could not go to Windows Updates, DirectX, MSN, or anything Microsoft. However, I could go to any other website with no problems or delays. I ran AdAware and Spybot and everything showed clean.

I decided to install a new hard drive and do a clean install of XP Pro. The new hardware and XP Pro install has gone flawlessly. I installed XP Pro, SP2 from a CD, the chipset utility, DirectX from a CD, and the ethernet LOM drivers. I am to the point where I need to go get the latest Windows Updates. I plugged in the cat5 internet cable and tried to go to Windows Updates.

Whenever I try to go to Windows Updates (or anything Microsoft) I get the DNS error screen returned. I can access all other websites with no problems and no delays. I have checked the security settings and nothing seems to be wrong there.

I think it is strange that I still am unable to access any Microsoft websites with a totally fresh OS on a PC with a single new hard drive.

Does anyone have any ideas or experience with this problem?

thanks,
Axle

Here is what I would like to do.

I want to make a form, and make it so all of the fields (or a select number of the fields) MUST be completed before the user is allowed to print the form. Can this be done, and if so, can I get some help, or direction on resources.

I know how to do this before saving the form, with the [BeforeUpdate] event handle but I don't know if I can do the same thing with printing. Any help would be MUCH appreciated.

For a awhile now I can't access any Microsoft related websites. After looking for answers on the web the most common suggestions were to install CCleaner and Malwarebytes. I installed both and ran all the scans available on CCleaner and Malwarebytes. But I still can't access any Microsoft sites.

Please help.

A:Can't access Microsoft.com...

Go to Start/Run and type http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and hit enter. If that doesn't work then browse to C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc open the Hosts file with Notepad. Delete all lines after 127.0.0.1 localhost. Save the file and try again.

Is there a way to link a query from Access to the desktop that, when clicked, will only open the query and not the database? We've tried right click>>create shortcut>>Browse>>Desktop, but it opens the query and the database. It's just clutter on our service shop computers that have many windows and apps open at once!

Hi scubab.

Unfortunately, there's no way that I know of to separate the Query from the Database. It just doesn't work that way.

Hello

I am looking for some help with microsoft access and need some help.

In terms of the way my question is answered I know a lot about computers (it's pretty much my job) However I have never used Access and am a novice on this program. I have been trying to find a way to add a search box in a database but just cannot get my head around this program at the moment.

I'm doing a database at work, its going to be a fairly simple database (something you would see in excel) with literally 5 columns ranging from lets say for example Client - Member other staff - other parties - date - relation. There will be a lot of rows some with the same names etc in

What I want is a search function that searches all these so I could literally search 3 columns at the same time

e.g in client I want to search by andrew and then by staff member and then relation to get my final result.

Any ideas or help would be much appreciated.

You really need to look at how to properly create tables and normalizing data. Tables store the data and information in different tables can be related to one another. Forms give you a visual way to display and manipulate data. Queries allow you to filter out information in a meaningful way and reports let you generate reports based on the data in the tables or queries. I think you are trying to lump all of your data into a single table which is not the way you want to start out.

Hi

I have only moderate experience of Access databases and I don't really have experience of programming.

I'm designing a basic table that allows me to enter the date an item is sent to a client and the date they must accept/reject that item, i.e. 28 days after the date it is sent.

In my table I have a column titled Date Sent to Client and a column Client Rejection Deadline. I know that I can run a query to do this but would like the Client Rejection Deadline column to automatically calculate this date once I enter the date in the Date sent to Client column.

Any help would be welcome.

Many thanks.

Microsoft Access:
I am confused in trying to get alphabetically and numerically to be the same. Is this possible?
As I add a new person to the list the 'Auto number' selects the next available number, but when I sort alphabetically, the numerical sequence is out of order. Please help!!!

A:microsoft access

Not sure I understand what the problem is. The number just doesn't matter that much; you use it as a unique-identifier key rather than an alphabetical index because (1) computers like numbers better than words, and (2) it allows you to have John Q. Smith and John T. Smith in the same table without a violation.

Why do you want to sort on both at the same time?
