I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I successfully did the following on a Compaq Presario laptop:

RegEdit: Classes Root\Directory - right click Shell, New Key - name Send Email, new string value - Send Email. Right click Send Email key, New Key - name Command, new string value - c:\program files\outlook express\msimn.exe/mailurl:

When I right click the Start button and click Send Email, the OE new message box appears. That way you don't have to open OE then click Create Mail. Works fine in the Compaq.

I did the very same thing in a Toshiba laptop XP but when I click Send Email in the Start button context menu, it says C:\Docs and Sets\RAM\Start Menu: Access Denied, yet I'm logged in as RAM and I created the shortcut and the command in registry has nothing to do with my folder in Docs and Sets. If I add a space '.exe /mailurl:' OE splash comes up then a box saying OE may not be installed properly, click OK, then another box saying OE would not open because msoe.dll could not be initialized. Clicking on an OE shortcut brings OE right up so apparently msoe.dll is fine. (I did replace the dll but made no difference.)

I can make OE open by putting quotes around "c:\...........exe", but I cannot get the New Message box to open from the shortcut.

If anyone can help I would surely appreciate it. Now it has become more than just a convenience shortcut - it has become a challenge!

Is there some function or method in javascript or VB that enables me to send different emails to different recipients, based on an html form?
For example: I want to send the user a confirmation note based on his details, as well as some sort of copy for myself, with some different design and details in it, and all of that requires the user to click only once on the "submit" button.

A:email form - send different letters to different recipients

Look up CDONTS and VB. You can do both send a confirmation as well as receive a copy of the registration. I just set one up and it is quite easy. The formatting of the mail message is very limited but it does the job. There are compiled ASP mail components like ASPmail that do pretty much the same thing as CDONTS

Whoever is going to help needs to know what email client you use?
Click Help->About to find out. There is no Outlook Express 7. OE6
was the last. What OS are you using?

I've not heard of a matte's form? Would help to explain that in

Probably need more info on your HTML. Either post the code here
or take a screen shot and post that here. If your HTML has
javascript it could be blocked at the recipient's end.

A:Access 2010 Form Hide/show button help

This is not a difficult one to do. Start by determining whether most of the time you want the field to be visible or not. Suppose you want it to be usually visible. Then let it's Visible property stay at the default value which is True.

Create you rbutton that controls the visibility of the field. Then in its Click event simply set the Visible property to false. Here's a sample of what the code should look like:

If Me.PeopleType.Text = "CASLA" Then
allusl.Visible = False: labelusl.Visible = False: uslbox.Visible = False
Label220.caption = "Display records of type:"
Me.CASLAType.Visible = True: Label220.Visible = True
End If

The above code sets several things invisible and several other things visible. But you should get the idea how to adapt the code for your purposes.

Hi all, I don't have Office 2013 yet but I am intending to upgrade a computer to Windows 8.1 Office 2013. One of the primary uses of this computer will be email and currently the fastest way to do things is to send email directly from Word. I have looked it up on the net and found a website that says that you can do this with Office 2013:
The only problem is that right at the end it also says:
“Note that there’s no real record of your sent email except as a Word document. If you want to keep a copy of the message for yourself in your email program (Outlook, Thunderbird, etc.), select Bcc from the Options drop-down menu (the same menu where you selected to add the From field) and enter your email address in the Bcc field.”
Unfortunately as these will be important emails I really need to know if they have been sent, without having to just trust the user to remember to save or Bcc it. So my question is: Is there a sure way to have email come up in the sent folder in Outlook when sent from Word 2013? If not I may not get Office 2013.
Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm using the below post from OBG to change my hpyerlinked email addresses to text fields, but keep receiving a data mismatch error for the "correct" expression. I'm not sure why Access thinks the "length" expresion isn't a number since it's displayed as a number when I run the query. Can someone help?

Yes, if you change the Hyperlink field to Text you will see what is wrong with the data, you can then use an Update query to remove the "extra" data that you do not want.
You need 2 queries one select query with the email address and
length: InStr([email Address],"#")
correct: Left([email Address],[length]-1)
and then an Update query based on the first query where you update the email address to the [correct] field.
Take a copy of the database or at least the table before running the update query.

In our village in Spain, we have a very dodgy wireless internet access system, run by a company called NijarNet that is very difficult to communicate with - partly a language problem and partly because their customer service is dreadful. I have 13 clients with accounts here (I'm a management agent), and I manage these for them - they are all either wifi or wimax which pick up the signal from various antennae in the area. One such client was having no problem until something called Spamcop blocked his emails. Since then, he is unable to send emails from his 02 account, although he can send from his gmail account with no problem. He can receive on both accounts. O2 says it's not their problem, but that I must talk to the provider (which I have tried to do but they deny it's their problem and can't/won't give any advice on what the problem might be). I reckon it's something fairly simple that I might be able to sort myself, maybe a setting on the router? Can you offer any advice? He's tried it on several different laptops, devices etc with no luck. Any advice would be gratefully received.

So weird thing just happened. I got 8 emails in a row which were along the lines of 'mailer-daemon return address' or 'out of office' replies meaning I sent emails, but the thing is I didn't. I then went to my sent email folder and no new sent emails show up except for the ones I did send over 3 days ago. This is a gmx.com email address. I then got a new email along with those other 8 from my gmx email to my gmx email but it was listed as being sent on april 8 so it was kind of lower on the page due to read emails being ahead of it. I have absolutely no contacts saved on that account so after looking through the bounced back emails I realized it may have sent emails to everyone I sent an email to since creating the account (a year ago). I even got one on my other email address from myself which I had once sent an email to. I need the email addresses in the email to be auto-populated and also a brief note to appear in the main text along with the cells and in the subject line of the email: E.g: "Monthly Data for April"

Can't seem to figure it out so any help greatly received!

How is your E-Mail provider? If its your internet provider, it's possible that the outgoing server is only used when you are connected to their internet service.

Check with them if they have an additional outgoing (SMTP) server that you can use while you are not on their service.

Basically, I have created a very simple Excel spreadsheet as an example, but what I would like to do is the following:

I have several employees (100 +/-) that require training in various fields. Each training certification is good for 1-yr. I am trying to figure a way for Excel to automatically send an email to my Microsoft Outlook whenever that training date is set to expire. I would like to have it email me 30-days before it expires. The problem is that I don't record and notate it by the date the training expires, but rather by the date they were trained. An example would be that I trained someone on 5-3-13 and they will be expiring 30-days from now. I have it entered on the spreadsheet as 5-3-13. How can I make Excel automatically generate an email warning me of the upcoming expiration date? I am admittedly not very proficient in computer language, but I am more than willing to learn.

Recently installed Outlook 2000. Works fine except for one small annoying glitch. All email is sent and received smoothly when I click Tools, Send/Receive and then the name of my Internet Service Provider. Mail flys out of the Outbox and arrives in the Inbox quickly. But, if I attempt to do the same operation by clicking the Send/Receive button on the top toolbar, only that mail which is in the outbox is sent, but mail sitting at my server is not received! If I then try the tools, send/receive method, the mail is received. So,the glitch is the Send/receive button only sends, but can't seem to receive mail, yet I can receive and send via the tools tab. Another strange and possibly related thing is, if when not connected I click the send/receive button and nothing is in the outbox, then it just says successful task. But if there is an email in the outbox when I click the send/receive button, it brings up the dial up connection box and when I am connected sends it smoothly, but again does not receive any mail I may have. When I had Outlook 98, the send/receive button would send, receive and bring up the dial up if necessary.
I can use Outlook 2000 without this button, and work through the tools route but just wondered if anyone had any thoughts on why everything seemingly works well except I can't get the Send/receive button to receive mail.....and if I am not connected this same button won't bring up the dial up connection if there is nothing in the outbox. My computer is an HP Pavilion a6345f running Windows Vista Home Edition that I've had since new (4 years ago).

During the past week or so, I've had trouble with my Office Outlook email program in the MS Office 2010 suite. When I open it and click on an email I'd get the 'Not Responding' notation next to the program name in the top part of the window. To correct this, I've used the repair function on the cd and the scanpst file in Program File, Microsoft Office, Office 14. This seems to work for a while but the 'Not Responding' message has still appeared.

Concerned that I might lose my two email data files for Office Outlook, I exported them to a flash drive where I incorporated them into one file named Outlook Data File.pst. After I'd repaired the program, I imported this file and have my data but am now unable to send/receive emails using the program (I can send/receive emails via the Internet but prefer Office Outlook).

When I try Send/Receive on Office Outlook, I get the error message 0x8004010F which talks about synchronization of an offline address book with Exchange Servers 2007 or 2010 (link here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/939765). I contacted my ISP and the techie helped me to ensure that I had a functioning email address but was unable to remedy the problem because it's a Microsoft program which the ISP doesn't support (but does support Office 2007).

I'd be grateful for any advice that will correc... Read more

My Email client, MSN Premium (not Hotmail) will not open to write an email when clicking on any website's button labeled "send us an email". Instead this action causes several instances (up to 5) of IE6 to invoke and then the Op Sys (WinME) hangs until I use Ctrl-Alt-Del to end the erroneously opened IE tasks. I thought maybe it was that MSN mail was not my default email client so I used the proceedure to make MSN mail my default instead of OE6 but each time I returned to the options to see if it had changed it still says my default client is OE. Interestingly, if I envoke the MSN explorer and go to my MSN email inbox I can send and receive my email perfectly. This machine has been up and running since last October. I do not know if the problem has always existed or started more recently since I don't often click on "send us email" buttons.
I have three other machines similarly set up and none of them exhibit this problem.
WinMe, MSN Premium, and MSN messenger 6 all are up to date and current.
McAfee AV is on and up to date.
CounterSpy and Spybot are up to date and actively running.

Hi all,
I am using outlook 2010, windows 8 on an Asus UX32A latop. I have an intermittent problem in that, when I go abroad, from some wireless networks (hotels or otherwise) I can send emails and others (increasingly more often), I cant. I have searched the web and this seems to be a common problem with port 25  (outgoing server - SMTP)  blocking being frequently identified as the culprit. However, I have tried a number of alternative ports to 25, but thus far to no avail.
If anyone out there has any ideas I would greatly appreciate them!

A:Outlook 2010, can receive but not send email abroad - intermittent problem

You would have to check with your email service provider to see if they have alternative mail servers and alternative ports available. If their mail servers are configured to use only port 25, then check to see if you can access your email using a web browser, as ports 80 and 443 are almost never blocked. It's not as convenient as Outlook, but at least it will work.

problems like this can sometimes be caused by malware, you say you cant find any viruses but just to be sure pop over to the security and the web section and take a read, as email doesnt rely on the HTTP protocol to recieve mail, it could be something along those lines.

I have had the odd case of no web at home yet MSN messenger works fine, i reboot my router and modem all is well, sometimes its the ISP that's at fault, try another PC if you can on the same connection.

I am wondering how to send an email to a list of people in an Access database. The email should have a message in the body, as well as a Word attachment.

I know how to do this using a mail merge in Word where I can send the email using the Word doc as the email body message or attach this Word doc to the email, and I can select the recipients from an Access db. I want to be able to do both - have a message in the body of the email and attach a Word doc. I don't see an option to do this when doing a mail merge in Word using an access db.

Is there a way I can do this?

When I got BellSouth DSL years ago I had Outlook email account set up with BellSouth as outgoing and old domain as incoming so I could keep my email address from another domain. It worked fine until a year or so ago I had to add another account just for BellSouth and that worked fine.

Within last few weeks emails from my email address (old domain) would not send. I've been through it with ATT tech several times to no avail.

It seems that ATT has trapped me out and does not want me to be able to keep my old email.

There's bound to be a way to set up my email accounts so my outgoing email from my other ISP provider will send through BellSouth without changing my very old and reliable email address.

Also, I recently have acquired my own domain name and I fear emails from that email address will suffer the same fate.

I hope this is not too long, but PLEASE HELP if you can.

A:Can't send email using different domain in email address BellSouth trapped me out...

If your BellSouth e-mail service is provided by Yahoo, then you probably need to go through a registration and authentication process for each e-mail address you want to send through a non BellSouth/Yahoo mail server. At least that is what I had to go through as an SBC/ATT DSL customer. They claim that they do the blocking to prevent from originating from users within their network.

However, I can't figure out how have it put a specific address into the To field of the document.

Hi guys,
I would like to be able to move an email to a sub folder of my mailbox and get Outlook to send an email to the sender of the email I moved into it. Hope that makes sense.

I found this archived thread http://forums.techguy.org/business-applications/439567-outlook-reply-email-when-mail.html which has proved very helpful and I've managed to get it working for me.

I would like it to send more than just a one line email reply but I don't know how, maybe get it to use a text file for the body of the email?

Any help would be great

Hi, firstly please bear with me as i'm new to this. I'm trying to setup the email on our virtual server through cpanal and using Thunderbird 3 (although i did try it with Outlook 2007 and the same results.)

Using the given Incoming and Outgoing mail server info given (mail.domain.co.uk) and the mail server username, I get a failed to find error (using both POP3 and IMAP). If I change that too the SSL settings for Incoming / Outgoing (serverusername.miniserver.com), it works and autofinds Connection Security as STARTTLS and finds the ports too. With this I can send emails fine, but I am not getting incoming emails, and I don't know enough about it too see what I'm doing incorrect, any help would be great, thanks.

I posted this on yahoo answers first, but the only response I got was "restart your outloook and try later." *facepalm* Glad to have found a place more dedicated to such problems.

hello anyone

Here is a question I need you help me:

I want to send an attachment file to many email addresses at one time, but when I sent it to them, I just want each person's email see only his or her email (as like as -->To: [email protected] in his or her mail only) that I sent for the person.

Can anyone tell me how to do that, or that can not do it, only send one by one? Please let me know immediately.

Thank you for your help

For example, I don't want it display in each person's email like that:

Date: Fri, 11 Jun 2004 17:35:51 -0700 (PDT)
From: "Phil T" <[email protected]> Add to Address Book
Subject: re: one to many (one file to each separate person)
To: [email protected], [email protected], [email protected]
[email protected]--

I want it display like this below (each person received like this, To: [email protected]) and other email received the same file too:

Date: Fri, 11 Jun 2004 17:35:51 -0700 (PDT)
From: "Phil T" <[email protected]> Add to Address Book
Subject: re: one to many (one file to each separate person)

I sent an email to a company using their email form on their site. Is there a way I can retrieve what I wrote in the email to have for my records?

A:Retrieving email sent using websites email form.

Hi LIKENIT, welcome to 7F!

Not that I am aware of. The best you can hope for is when the company replies they use your original query quoted in their reply.

If that doesn't happen the only other way would be to ask if they can send it back to you, but some companies do an instant delete after they reply, it helps to keep the clutter manageable.

I'm not sure if this is the correct forum for this problem. Please let me know if I should post it somewhere else.

I have a problem that has me baffled.

My fianc? has a Dell laptop running XP Home with SP2.

About five days ago she realized that she could not send any emails (she can receive emails but can not send them). Through trial and error we also have determined that she can not connect to any website that requires a user name and password.

About the time this started she had re-upped her subscription to Norton System Works so I figured that had something to do with it (no hardware changes have been made and no other software changes that I know of).

Things I have tried so far:
I tried shutting off Norton's firewall and email scanning - no effect.
I deleted all her temp files, history, cookies, etc - nothing.
I used (RIES?? spelling) to reset her IE7 and to get rid of all the add-ons - nothing.
I uninstalled Norton completely and turned off the XP firewall - no effect.
I have contacted our ISP (Comcast) and I have verified that the Outlook settings are all correct.
I manually added her hotmail login site to the safe site list in IE7 - nada.

We do use a router and her laptop is wireless. I can access all the sites that she can not using my desktop with a hard connection to the Linksys Wireless router.

When I get home tonight I plan on connecting her laptop directly to the modem and by passing the router completely. I also plan on goi... Read more

A:Can't send email or access password protected sites

Hi and Welcome to TSF.

The first thing that I would suggest is that you try an alternate Internet browser.

Please download and install Mozilla Firefox:

Mozilla Firefox Download

Try Firefox to see if you can access your email.

Please let me know. . .

I built an application a couple of years ago and the user has been able to bring up a report, choose Send page by email... and email the report to their own customers.

However, this week it stopped working. The report still displays on the page, but when he clicks Send page by email... it brings up an empty email. Well, not completely empty, there are around 4 or 5 lines of whitespaces.

Does anyone know what could be causing this?

A:Can malware send email from your internet email address?

Sounds like a spammer got your email address and is spoofing the return to or from address using yours instead. It could also be that someone is infected and their computer had you email address. Here's an example of headers shown in real emailReturn-Path: <[email protected]>Received: from inaamta17.mail.tds.net ([]) by inmta16.mail.tds.net (InterMail vM. 201-2186-126-20070710) with ESMTP id <[email protected]net> for <[email protected]>; Thu, 26 Feb 2009 07:51:51 -0600Received: from mta705.email.newegg.com ([]) by inaamta17.mail.tds.net (InterMail vG. 201-2196-120-20070322) with SMTP id <[email protected]egg.com> for <[email protected]>; Thu, 26 Feb 2009 07:51:51 -0600

Say I have 10 individual Email recipients that I often send the same Email to. I want to be able to bring all the addresses together into one Group, and send the Email addressed to say "Family" or "Social Team" etc.

Is there a way that I can lump all the common recipients together under one title?

A:How do I group common Email addresses together to send all the same Email?

Since your question is in the Windows Live section, I am assuming you are using the Windows Live Mail (POP Version). To add a group email do the following:

1. In Windows Live Mail, click the "contacts" button
2. Click "New"
3. Select "Category"
4. Name the Catergory (such as Family or whatever you want to call the group)
5. Check the email addresses of the list that pops up for those you want in the group.

Now, next time you want to send an email with this program, in the "to" field, simply type the name of the category you just created. All contacts you added to the group will now be sent the email you just wrote.
