Q: Lenovo ThinkPad x260 Bluetooth Issue

I'm trying to connect a Bluetooth device, but when I open the search for Bluetooth devices, the search bar closes the bluetooth adapter is turned off.In the device manager disappears bluetooth-atapter and it appears here (see video below). What to do in this case?Sometimes bluetooth works fine, but more often it's what's on the video.Lenovo ThinkPad x260Windows 10 Pro 64PN: 20F60073RTi7-6500U512GB SSD 2.5" SATA38GB DDR4 2133 SoDIMMIntel 8260(2x2 AC)+Bt4.1 NOvProIntMBb 4G LTE (Huawei ME906S) Happy New Year!

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Many thinkpad x260 laptops are facing issues with Display flickering and flashing in our company infrastructure.Everytime the laptop lid is put down and brought back up, the screens start flashing randomly. Its stops if we change the screen resolution, but it starts happening again if the lid is closed and opened. Please advise as there are multiple machines affected.

Hello, my friends. I am running the Windows 10 Pro, (version #1607), 64-bit, in Spanish language.  I was having a huge amount of trouble with the factory-installed Bluetooth module (Intel AC8260). I would go through the on-line solutions of removing and reinstalling the Lenovo drivers. Sometimes I had to this this several times in a row, before it would actually work. The Bluetooth would finally connect to my earphones (Bose QC35 or Skullcandy Ink'd) They would work for about 20 minutes, and then Bluetooth would quit, requiring me to go through the process again of removing the Lenovo drivers and reinstalling them. It was driving me nuts, (which I admit, is a very short drive!) I finally uninstalled the Lenovo drivers and then installed the Intel drivers from here: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/86068/Intel-Dual-Band-Wireless-AC-8260  Now Bluetooth works just fine on Windows.  I am also using this machine with Linux Mint 18.3. I have only managed to get Bluetooth to connect to my headphones once, though they do appear in the list of Bluetooth devices.          Hope this will help somebody else.

Hi, I have a problem with the sound. Whenever I try to use bluetooth speaker, the sound starts being chunky, crashing with too many delays. I have tried two different speakers. After some research through the net and many attempts for fixes, (I think) I found what is the problem. However, I still can not understand excactly how to solve it. Thus, I need some help. I think a picture of the DPC latency will explain everything. Thank you very much for your time!

Suddenly My X260 screeen started getting turned off if I open the lid 150 - 180 degree. Then turned back on if I maintain the angle about 45 -  140 degree. The screen goes off if the angle is less than 45 degree, and getting turned ON again if I completely close the lid (It seems the computer recognized as if the lid is open, when I completely close the lid.) For the power management option - I set it "Sleep when I close the lid", but it does not work anymore after I started having this problem. Does it have to do with the hinge sensor? It goes to sleep mode (or screen off mode) if the lid angle is 150 - 180 degree or 10-45 degree. For the reason, I have to completely turn off the system all the time when I'm not using the laptop.   If anyone knows about this issue, please advise.Thank you...

Hallo!

I'm a ThinkPad fan - I own a number of ThinkPads (an X250, X260, T450s, T460s, and a T470). I also use a ThinkPad T480 at work. Unfortunately, I have come across an issue on my X260 - it sometimes misses spacebar keystrokes. This is a very big problem for me because I type fast (around 120 words per minute). I have not experienced this issue with any of my other ThinkPads. I have firmware 1.40 installed (the latest available). I have over 400 days left on my X260's warranty. How do I send this laptop to Lenovo for repairs?

I hope someone can help me.  I am having an issue with connecting my Lenovo ThinkPad X380 Yoga to a USB-C Dock.  I have installed all of the drivers and enabled Thunderbold 3 within BIOS, however only the USB, LAN connections work when I plug the dock into the Laptop.  The two displays that are plugged into the dock via Display Port do not work and the laptop seems not able to detect the displays.  Things I have tried: Plugged in only one monitor using both VGA and DP but still nothing.Uninstalled and reinstralled the drivers.Ran the Lenovo support tool to make sure all drivers on the laptop are up to date.Power cycled both the laptop and dock. As I said the USB devices plugged into the dock seem to work fine as does the LAN.  I have tried to update the firmware on the dock however I keep getting the following message: ThinkPad USB-C DP Hub version can't be checked! Please power cycle the Dock to try again. I have powercycled but still have the same message.  I am all out of ideas as to why the displays do not work.   Any ideas?

I have a Lenovo e530c thinkpad, had no issues but over the past few months the bluetooth wont work and the wifi drops out and goes to "no internet" then comes back on after a couple mins. The laptop came with win 8 and I thought it maybe an issue with the operating system so I put Win 7 pro on and the issue is still there. From looking on the net the Intel pci card has a few connectivity issues. Mine is the N2230. If i try and reinstall the drivers i get the following error "no bluetooth device was detected please make sure your bluetooth device is plugged in". The card is firmly in and screwed down, looking on the net other people have similar issues but nobody can solve it!

Hello everyone, this is my first post here so pm me if you have questions because I will blow through this quickly: Have you installed/upgraded to win 10? do you have no bluetooth driver or even the option to get it? Well I took 2-3 hours to figure it out so you don't have to! First make sure that bluetooth is enabled in your bios (F1 at startup) the setting is tucked away in there, mine was diabled for some reason. Second install the "universal" win 10 DRIVER from Intel which is NOT ON THE SUPPORT SITE: http://downloadmirror.intel.com/25172/eng/WP-BT_17.1.1529.1613_t64.exe Third: Download and install this overlay key crap that lenovo has on thier support site called on screen display (for win 10) can't find it, the site had crashed for me. Fourth: restart computer Fif: launch C:\DRIVERS\HOTKEY\OSD\F5\TpFnF5.exe and use the gui to enable bluetooth A bluetooth icon should pop on your home bar tool tray, led should also come on indicating it is active, and also under devices in windows 10 you should be able to toggle it on and pair devices (you can also get there by double clicking the icon)  thank me now or later, but lenovo's support for windows 10 compliantcy is disgusting. I love my T510 and only this once has let me down. bad lenovo, BAD!

A:Lenovo Thinkpad T510 Windows 10 bluetooth not show...

I'll thank you now. I had them same issue as you on my T510 and figured there's got to be a driver out there somewhere. Couldn't find anything in Lenovo support and no reference to any testing or pending support for T510 with windows 10. Your solution worked. I checked BIOS and found it was enabled for bluetooth. All I did after that was step 2 in your post and got the driver. At that point I thought I'd just give it a go and see what happens. Went to the TpFnF5.exe (on my computer it was in  C:\SWTOOLS\DRIVERS\HOTKEY\OSD\F5\TpFnF5.exe) launched it, turned on the bluetooth radio and was back in business. Connected to a bluetooth boombox and it worked no problem.  I put a shortcut to that file in my task bar so I don't need to screw around with getting the F5 hotkey going. Upgraded to windows 10 5 days ago. So far everything I normally use on the T510 is working properly. Unless the thing blows up tomorrow, I don't know why Lenovo so far hasn't supported it for win 10. Thanks again.

Hi, Starting July 26, there occurred some problems with the Bluetooth of both of my ThinkPad laptop, one is P70 and the other is X1 Carbon 4gen. The main issue is: every time I connect my Bluetooth mouse (Logitech MX Master) and/or Bluetooth game controller (Xbox one controller), after a random amount of time, they would disconnect automatically. And to re-connect them, I have to first switch off and then switch on the toggle controlling Bluetooth in ?Settings?->?Device?->?Bluetooth & other devices?. Even after re-connect, after some time, they would disconnect again. And here are a few other findings might be helpful:The time between connection success and connection failure is random. I also tried to uninstall first, restart my laptop and reinstall again, but nothing works. It should be the problem of the mouse or controller because I connect them to my friend?s ASUS laptop and they work very well.BOTH of my Thinkpad laptop P70 and X1 Carbon 4gen got this problem at the SAME time (July 26). E aí, galera. Tudo bem? Emparelho. Sucesso. Fone responde "Pairing completed". 3. Notebook começa a buscar drivers do dispositivo. Fone interage novamente "Ready to pair", como se tivesse desemparelhado sozinho. 4. Read more

Hi,For quite some time now I've been having problems with Bluetooth (BT) devices on my T500 Win7 64 bit with devicesranging from like my older Nokia C2-01 mobile phone to my new UE ROLL 360 wireless speakers. at this stage the BTicon appeared correctly upon startup and in the device manager there where no errors, whereas the BT devices wereidentified as:a. The only reason I *need* bluetooth is because I broke all my usb ports (personal problems) and I bought a bluetooth mouse. A:Lenovo Z50-70 bluetooth issue

hi MarieNville,

Welcome to the Forums.

Can you please try the following:

1. Navigate to Control Panel (icon views) > Programs and Features and remove any apps that relates to Bluetooth (reboot if necessary).

2. When finished, the Bluetooth section will now use the inbox Bluetooth Driver as shown in the image below:

3. If the Bluetooth section is not present, download and run the Bluetooth Driver installer
     - this will identify the type of Bluetooth Device installed on the system (eg. Qualcom Atheros, Intel, etc.) and it will install a generic Bluetooth driver. If successful, try pairing a bluetooth device and observe.

If everything goes well, try installing the official bluetooth drivers by navigating to the D:\Drivers\Bluetooth folder or from the Z50-70 drivers page and observe.

Let me know how it goes.

Have you physically looked at the hardware (Wireless Card) and ran the units serial / model / part numbers thru Google to see if it does in fact have bluetooth?  I ask this as the listing you link to states the bluetooth module is "optional" rather than included as fact.

I would also recommend that you download your service / maintenance manual from the Lenovo Support tab of this website and look at the listing of parts for WiFi and bluetooth, which you can use as a "reference" tool to see exactly what part is in your notebook.

Once you have this information, post back and we will see what we can do to assist you with further troubleshooting.

Cheers.

Good afternoon all,

I'm trying to help a friend out with the above laptop. The issue he has is that when he powers it on, it loads all the way through to the desktop screen, but he's left with a black screen and cursor.

Everything else up to that point works, he gets the Windows 7 loading screen, when it has gone to the black screen - pressing ctrl, Alt and Delete brings up task manager etc, as it should do, but there's just nothing displayed for the desktop.

Can anyone give me any advice on what to look for? I'd have thought it would be a screen problem, but as I said everything else works normally.

Incidentally, booting into safe mode, it does the same thing. You get the white text in the 4 corners saying 'safe mode' and also the current build of windows text.

Thanks in advance

Hello and welcomeI'm not a Lenovo representative, but definitely TS means TopSeller, FD in the short lsptop specification means the type of display - FHD. And below are some discussions:Weird Bluetooth Issue with Both my Thinkpad Laptops - Lenovo CommunityT420 Bluetooth issue - Lenovo CommunityP50 bluetooth mouse quits with wifi on - Lenovo CommunityRe: Lenovo Y520 Wifi Problem - Lenovo CommunityQC35 loses connection when Laptop is connected to ... - Bose Community These massive occurrences at almost the same time indicate this cannot be caused by us users, but rather something Lenovo should be responsible for. In short, the problem is 2.4G WIFI has interfere with Bluetooth, while 5G WIFI doesn't. Although there is temporary solution, but this require you to abandon 2.4G WIFI completely, which is not the optimal one. I am wondering if Lenovo technicians or engineers could look into this problem and give us some explanation and fix to this problem? Thanks!

Good day and welcome to the community.I see the X270 on sale on the (US) shopping site: http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/thinkpad/x-series/x270/?menu-id=thinkpad_x270 and it is a Kaby Lake machine.

The X260 shows as sold out: http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/thinkpad/x-series/x260/ . It was a Skylake machine.
Hope this helps.
Regards.

Hello, all. I am trying to upgrade my Thinkpad X260 to a 16GB stick of ram. The exact item I bought is called "Crucial 16GB Single DDR4 2133 MT/s (PC4-17000) DR x8 SODIMM 260-Pin Memory - CT16G4SFD8213" on Amazon.com . After installing the memory module (correctly, using the video Lenovo provides on youtube), the laptop won't boot. I can't even get into the bios, although the green bower button lights up. I'm very confused as I did a lot of research to make sure this ram is supported by my thinkpad: The Thinkpad platform specifications list the memory as "2133MHz DDR4" with a 16GB maxThe voltage on my ram is 1.2V, the same voltage that the thinkpad x260 supportsIt's also "260-pin memory", the same as the original ram. What could possibly be going on? Why won't my laptop boot with the RAM upgrade?

Hello! I was inquiring into buying a Lenovo X260, and one of the main reasons I was interested was because it has a SIM card slot. I have Project Fi, and was interested in using a data only SIM card for the laptop. Project Fi is compatable with Sprint, T-Mobile and US Cellular networks, and I wanted to ask if anyone had any experience using the sim card slot with any of these networks or perhaps even a Project Fi sim. I do not want to buy the laptop to find out the sim card does not work. Any advice would be extremely helpful.

Hi! I have a worklaptop (x260) and am trying to connect it with a LG Ultrafine 5k Display. The display only has USB-C/Thunderbolt 3 out and when I'm connecting the laptop (using a USB-C to Mini Displayport/Thunderbolt 2 cord) it does nothing and won't detect it. The setup works for another laptop so I know the cord is fine...  Does anyone know if I can just download some drivers for Thunderbolt 3 (Found these: LINK) or do I need a dock? Reason I'm not trying is that I need my corporate IT to download and install so wanted to make sure it's the right solution.  Thank you for any replies! And apologies if this topic has already been delt with -- I searched but without any luck.
