Dears, I would like to upgrade my current 256GB SSD of my Thinkpad Yoga 260 Model 20FES04T37 with 512GB SSD. I have found the below partnumber in Lenovo store which says that is compatible with Thinkpad, but I see that a special factor (M.2) is required for Yoga 260 which is not listed in the description of this part number: 4XB0L67026 ThinkPad 512 GB SATA 2.5" SSD Can anybody confirm this will be compatible with my Yoga so that I proceed with the upgrade with this SSD?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I'm looking to buy an SSD to replace the dying SSD storage drive on my Yoga 3, Model 80JH. There's not much information out there on what specs I should be looking for to ensure it's compatible. I posted a similar question earlier and people referred me to the Yoga (much appreciated).  However, I was interested in the 2.6 lb carbon version with touch screen capabilities.  Asus has a Spin 7 model that is very good at 2.65lb, but I miss the red mouse toggle in the middle of the keyboard and Asus's track pad was designed too large....causing unintended tapping.  The Yoga, while nice, is heavier than I was looking for.  The 14 inch screen is about 3.3lb? the 12 inch at 3? I thought that some of the earlier Thinkpad Carbons had touch screen and was hoping they would make a return soon.  Thanks,

Hello, Since the latest windows 10 update, where they added the mini apps along with the xbox app, the device video playback started to act funny, both online and local played videos. The video plays regularly in the beginning but then starts to slow down even the mouse slows down with it and the audio, sort of unstability where playback goes to normal and then slows down agian. If HDMI is plugged, I get a notification from action center that the intel HD family graphics driver had to restart, and I get it many times. which is really funny if you have a 8GB RAM and i7 processor and a 265gb SSD macine. I downloaded the newest intel HD graphics drivers from their website through Intel Driver Update Utility but couldn't install it due to some sort of incompatibility. They also advise that I'd better download drivers through the device manufacturer. So I then downloaded the original windows 7 graphics driver from lenovo website. I ran a full system scan by norton.Downloaded Lobit uninstaller and removed some apps.Downloaded CCleaner and removed a whole lot of cache!Ran AdwCleaner and also cleaned some files.I also did the steps within this link from lenovo forums https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-Yoga-Series-Notebooks/Yoga-2-Pro-HD-playback-freezes-other-appli...still NON helped! please note that the I bought the macine with Windows 8.1 pre-installed and I upgraded it to Windows 10 with no problems what so ever. Hello, I am freaking out as I am typing this right now at 2 am as a couple of my key caps in the lower right hand corner just fell off the keyboard for no apparent reason. I tried putting them back on but the clips on the underside of the key caps seem to be broken. Is this covered under warranty? If so, will Lenovo send me a new keyboard or will I have to send the machine in? I really hope that Lenovo can send me one as I really need my machine and I am capable of replacing the keyboard on my own as I have serviced multiple ThinkPads in the past. Thanks in advance! Edit:I should mention that my warranty is good until January 12.

My headphone jack doesn't output to the right headphone when I plug it in all the way. If I ever so slightly pull out the headphone jack about an 1/8th of an inch to the next knob it will output to both left and right headphones but with a high pitched noise in the background. Should I submit my laptop for servicing? Is there a fix to this issue? I have tried multiple headphones (which I have tested on other devices, that work fine on them) and this issue still persists.

The instructions/video for removing and replacing the keyboard are quite good. However, I had the following issue when replacing the keyboard. The instructions say to be in tablet mode when sliding the keyboard back into position. Would this not mean that the keys should be in the recessed position when putting the keyboard back in? That way, when you swing the lid back to normal laptop use, the keys will move become "unrecessed" again. Without this, after I replace the keyboard, I find that the lid cannot be closed any longer. In other words the sequence I am experiencing is this:To remove keyboard, move laptop into tablet position. Keys get recessed. I remove the keyboard.I put the new keyboard in. Keys are not recessed at this stage. New keyboard goes in - can't close lid any longer. Any tricks to this that I am missing?

according to August edition, only some 45W and 65W adapters are compatibile? screencap on that section below.is there something special about Thinkpad X380 Yoga power input? we have users who have plugged in the old 90W ones and reported they do charge.[also the 135W (supposedly max to 90W? for power delivery?) come with Thunderbolt 3 dock, but that's different since it is via TB3/USB-C port, not the slim power port] we are curious, should we tell users to stop using the more powerful ones?  it is going to be bit hard to execute, we don't inventory those accessories, it will have to rely each personnel to check what they have (and quite a few bought separate ones for home)

Not sure why posts asking about installing an OS other than Windows 10 on this device seem to vanish but here goes my attempt for a Linux Specific question. I am unwilling to run Windows 10 because an OS that without any advance notice will uninstall your privately owned and paid for software from other companies during updates potentially costing licensing fees to acquire a replacement license or even damaging system viability if one of those packages is a required driver is unacceptable to me. Due to the aforementioned issues with Windows 10 I am looking to Linux as an alternative for this device. Are there any known Linux Distributions that will fully support the hardware?Does anyone have experience installing Linux and configuring it on this device? What Linux Distribution is most recommended for this device? What additional drivers or software are recommended on Linux to be able to use the hardware to the fullest? Thanks.

Hi! If you have a watt meter such as the one below, when you put your Thinkpad X1 Yoga 2018/3:rd gen under maximum load for long, what power consumption does it actually show? Personally I'm asking this because I'm pondering buying an Akitio Node Pro Thunderbolt 3 enclosure, which would work as laptop charger through the USBC-Thunderbolt cable's "Power Delivery" function, however it gives 60W while the X1 6:th gen comes with a 65W charger. I wonder if the 60W charger would work in the real world. Things you can do to maximize load on your laptop: * put your laptop on maximum load max   * CPU like calculating a zillion decimals of pi,   * read disk all the time like some disk benchmarking program,  * run something on the laptop's built-in display too like loop a video, and * plug in one or two 2.5" harddrives to the USB plugs and run disk benchmarking on it/them too. I think this the real world max watt consumption is very interesting for the world to know, also if you want to know how much you are really pay for your laptop being powered on, this is central for you to test. (I'm making a separate thread where I ask the same thing for X1 6:th gen) Thank you and most grateful for any followup!  https://www.amazon.com/TS-836A-Energy-Voltage-Electricity-Monitor/dp/B00E945SJG

Hello everyone I was wondering if anyone knows whether the Lenovo Active Pen is also compatible with the yoga 920, or whether only the Lenovo Active Pen 2 works. Moreover, I was wondering if the Lenovo Active Pen also looses contact when writing if you hold the pen close to the nub. Thanks! for your help

A:Lenovo yoga 920 compatible with Lenovo active pen

Hi huQbbTCi,

Greetings.

Lenovo active pen 1 is also compatible with Yoga 920 as shown in the accessories search tool here PART # GX80K32884. It would be less sensitive to depth perception but with palm rejection enabled then you may not have the same issue on losing contact with it.

It would also be favorable to have it tried first before any purchase specially if you have someone that have it and compare it with other active pens whichever would be comfortable and efficient to your writing style.

Hope this helps answer your query.

Regards

Hi, can someone confirm that all Yoga 720 models work with a Lenovo Active Pen? The only model that's sold with a pen is $600 more expensive than the next most expensive model (with basically the same spec minus the pen). Given that a pen isn't anywhere near $600, it gives me concern that the rest of the models (without an included pen) won't work with a pen that could be purchased separately. Thanks.

They want a report saying a manufactor fault then it will get replacced.I have seen on the Lenovo website recall for power cords and batteries, can you advise if my model is one of those and apart from that what else can i do .

Hello everybody, I have acquired as mentioned in the title the Lenovo Yoga 300-11IBR Model 80M1 notebook for taking notes in class. It comes with a pre-installed 500 Gb SSHD. Hello all, I bought a Lenovo Yoga 710, model 710-15ISK, brand new from best buy a week ago and I started noticing something super annoying. This laptop has the I7 processor, 256gb SSD, 16gb ram, HD 520 and GeForce 940mx. Outside of the constant hum from the fan, my laptop makes a sporadic and intermittent electrical scratching noise or whining sound every time i scroll (screen redraws) or if I load a program like chrome or word. I've heard terms such as coil whine or piezoelectric effect? I am not sure, but it is quite noticeable and quite annoying! It sounds like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jOgFPlS_b1s the sound is loudest right in the center of the keyboard, at least for me; the buzz in the video was provoked by loading software and or scrolling up and down on a page or document From what i was reading, it sounds like it has to do with the CPU and the ACPI driver; another possibility is the Intel HD 520 graphics.  Anyone know what is going on, or how to fix it? Thank you in advanced!
