Lenovo YOGA 720-15IKB Battery Capacity

Q: Lenovo YOGA 720-15IKB Battery Capacity

Dear Community, I just bought my Lenovo Yoga 720-15IKB last February 2018, i had a suspicion about my battery condition, i just run an diagnostic using lSC lite provided by Lenovo with this result. I need to ask about the battery capacities, is it normal my notebook designated capacity with 6345 MAH, but my battery full charge capacity deducted to 6075 MAH. I use this notebook without charging while using and always charge the battery while the system told me to charge my battery and charge to 100% , than unplugged the charger. Thank You

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I currently own yoga 710-14 with i5-6200U cpu. I managed to install windows 8 on this device. I installed battery bar application that shows battery usage. After few first charges it started showing that my battery quality is becoming worse. Now after 3 weeks it shows that I lost 25% of my battery max capacity. It's 39900mWh from factory 53000mWh. I charged it less than 20 times so it shouldn't die so fast. At this rate I will reach 0% capacity after 9 weeks.I charge it for about 4-6 hours, then disconnect, and use until battery reaches ~10%. Then I turn it off and charge until full. I never use it during charging, always on battery. However I am wondering if it is battery fault or it's just windows 8 incompatible with my battery meter?I installed some kind of lenovo battery tool to check if my battery was faulty (from faulty battery exchange campaign in the past) but it said there is no battery.I tried to generate windows report by powercfg /batteryreport but it didn't show any info.I mean it displayed:DESIGN CAPACITYmWhFULL CHARGE CAPACITYmWhCYCLE COUNT-without any values. However powercfg -energy gave me same info as battery bar and HWINFO programs. Current max capacity 39900 factory max capacity 53000.So what should I do? Could this be software related sensor malfunction? Should I switch back to windows 10 and it will fix itself?Or is battery faulty and I should return this computer to my store and get a refund?I don't want to bother with warranty reapairs becaus... Hello.I seeking for help on this issue. I bought my Lenovo Yoga 510 about seven months ago, and today when I opened Lenovo Settings to check for updates, I saw the disclaimer that my battery can only charge 34% of its original capacity. Is it possible that a battery in its proper condition can detereorate like this in such a short period of time, or should I claim for a warranty solution? https://imgur.com/a/sZckaDg

A:Lenovo Yoga 510 battery can only charge up to 34% of its capacity

I would call support.  They will most likely ask you to run a battery guage reset.  If after reset its still like that and laptop is under 1 year old and under warranty in my opinion they will replace battery.

Ok, so I bought my Yoga 910 (4k/i7/16gb/512ssd) just a few days ago and, besides the fan noise (which I am currently working on) as well as recently discovering the issue I am about to discuss, I absolutely LOVE this machine! It is a workhorse and the build quality is amazing. That's saying a lot coming from a previous Mac user... Anyway, I was looking around today while trying to get the fan issue resolved and I noticed that the Full Charge Capacity (FCC) of the battery is only 75410mwh, while the actual Designed Capacity is meant to be 78000mwh. It is about a 4% performance decrease basically right out of the box, is that normal? I only ask because I originally bought the FHD/i7/8gb/256ssd version, before exchanging it for the upgraded unit due to liking it so much, and noticed that the FCC on the original one was actually 80102mwh, quite a bit higher than the designed capacity. Not sure if there is a setting preventing the PC to charge to the full amount or what? Maybe I just got a battery with lower ratings? Any help would be MUCH apppreciated!

A:Yoga 720-15IKB: Battery blocked at 96%

By default, Lenovo batteries will not start charging when the battery is at or above 96%.  I would guess you disconnected from AC power for a short time, so your battery went down to 96%. When you reconnected, it is not yet charging. When it drops below 96%, it should charge back to 100%. You can check the following: - Unplug from AC power- Use your notebook so the battery level drops to below 96%. You can let it go down to 92-93% just to be sure- Reconnect AC power Your battery should now charge up to 100%.  Please let us know if this helps!

Hello,i am using a P40 Yoga and i am not really pleased with its battery runtime. So i checked the battery health in the Lenovo Settings Tool and discovered, that the capacity of the battery is down to 70%. From initially 52,55 Wh there are only 36,91 Wh left, after just 137 loading cycles in about 17 months of rare use... Has anybody else made these observations? Is there a chance to get a replacement battery even if the warranty is expired? Thank you for your feedback Matthias

Hello, Does anybody tried to charge the Device by USB-PD? Technically it should be possible with a >90W Charger, but I read different Statements. Some say, it's only charging, if the device is off. But that's not the target, it should be possible to work & charge with it.Others say, that only the 13" Yoga can be charged, the 15" (4k Display btw.) seems to need too much energy and doesn't push it to the battery But 90W, as the original dedicated non-usb-Power-Charger, is 90W, so there seems to be negotiating-issues. But as I said: Too many different statements. My Dream-Configuration would look something like this:- 1 USB-C-Charger like Dell TDK33 (4,[email protected])- 1 USB-C-Hub (primarly for LAN & Display), e.g. Andobil 9-in-1. It's too expensive to buy & try. Especially if there are Negotiating-Issues, you have to try different Chargers until you find a working one or to come to the conclusion, that its impossible. TL;DR: Can I Charge the 730-15ikb (4k) over USB-C while working? Which Charger is known to work? Thanks

Dear Sir  Welcome to Lenovo Community first of all lets do small troubleshooting steps, if its working ok if no so you have to deliver your device to the Service center to replace the battery if it still under warranty. ( find the list of service center link at the end of the message )if you do not have the power manager or power management you can download it from the below link:http://support.lenovo.com/eg/en/products/Laptops-and-netbooks/Lenovo-Y-Series-laptops/Y40-80/downloa...after installing you have an option inside called battery gauge reset, you have to make it night when u do not use the laptop cause this operation will take more than 6 hours to full charge the battery then difull charge then full charge again to refresh your battery, after you do that try your machine, if the battery still drains fast so you can visit the nearest service center to your place. https://support.lenovo.com/eg/en/contactus/supportphonelist Best Of Luck

Everything went smoothly with the setup and the computer looked great was working fine. When I finished setting up some essential programs browser etc, and was watching a youtube video my laptop just froze, fan was running but the screen keyboard cursor frozen. I thought nothing of it and restarted my computer and nothing happened after that. So I thought I was free to enjoy my good looking device. But now after my third usage I closed my laptop and went out to run some errands I came back an hour later or so and tried to open my computer and keep on using it but to my surprise the screen stayed black. Completely black, no flickering or anything. So i tried to reboot it by holding the start button down for 10s giving the computer a minute or so to rest then turned it back on. Same thing happens Keyboard lights up for a second or two then the fans just keep running and the screen stays completely black. This is extremely frustrating since this is a brand new computer and I desperately need it for studying and work. Screen black, computer starts and runs I can hear the fans keyboard lights up at first but screen is completely black. I would appreciate a quick response Lenovo, I had so high hopes for my new laptop. Best regards, Elisabet.

Hi there,  My very new Lenovo Yoga 710 (15" IKB) laptop/two-in-one has been fantastic so far except in one regard. Whenever I play a game, the fan gets quite loud and the temperature shoots up. I'm not one hundred percent sure if this happened in the first few days but I have come to notice it far more recently. When playing a pretty standard game, such as World of Warcraft, the temp will shoot up to somewhere around 65 degrees celsius (sometimes up to 70) with the bottom getting quite hot, and the fans will become quite loud. Even a very low requirement game, like FIFA 15 (which is obviously 2 years old now), can cause the temp to reach about 60 degrees and the fans to get loud, and when dowloading a driver from Nvidia I noticed that the temperature had again risen, this time to 52 degrees with the fans spinning loudly again. I had earlier had a display issue that I fixed by downloading diplay drivers from Lenovo's website. I'm not sure if there's any driver I could download to rectify this issue (I already updated BIOS from the download on Lenovo's website)?

Possibly two different problems but for now I really only care about the internal speakers stuttering as I rarely use my bluetooth speakers on my pc. Any hardware can be specified.

I bought a Lenovo Yoga 720 - 15IKB two weeks ago. The laptop works fine except for one important detail: it has never recognized the AC adapter as being plugged in. Basically when the PC is on, even if plugged in, it will drain down to 5% and turn itself off. But when it is off and plugged in, it charges up to 100% battery without a problem. How can I get my laptop to charge while plugged in? As it charges without issue when turned off, I want to think it is more of an issue with drivers or BIOS than the AC adapter and power connection.  All Windows updates and Lenovo System Updates have been installed, except for one: BIOS Update - 10 [64]When I install and then run this update, I get this blue screen of death Windows Error DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Battery drivers in the Device Manager several times. I restored battery settings to default, tweaked them, and set them back to default with no avail. Can anyone help or make any suggestions??? Thank you very much!

I noticed how quickly the battery capacity is lost. With the purchase of a laptop, the battery capacity was 90 Wh. Each cycle of charging and discharging (even when the cycle is 1/2 or 1/4) - there is a loss of 0.5 - 1 Wh.For example, there were 88 Wh. Does just one cycle of discharge and charging and the full capacity of the battery becomes 87- 87.5 Wh.Is it a battery fault or did Lenovo use so low-quality rechargeable batteries ?!

Hi, I want to upgrade my Windows to the latest update (October 2018). I also checked the available drivers on Lenovo support page but the Intel Graphics Driver version I need is not listed. Am I missing anything? Is there a timeline on when that driver is going to come out? Thanks.
