Q: Can we convert MS Outlook PST to Office365 file?

I want to convert PST file to Office 365 with a third party device. I used many tools but changes only some folders at a time. I have several folders that need to be changed. If you know about any other device that changes all the files in a while.

Preferred Solution: Can we convert MS Outlook PST to Office365 file?

I recommend downloading and running Outlook PST Repair. It's a PST repair tool that I've used it in the past to recover emails, contacts, tasks and notes from corrupt Outlook files that are damaged or inaccessible. Supports Outlook 2000, 2002, 2003, 2007, 2010 and 2013.

You can download it direct from this link http://goo.gl/1bjhSi. (This link will automatically start a download of Outlook PST Repair that you can save to your computer.)

There are a number of online articles that suggest that Microsoft will migrate Outlook.com users to Office365 sometime during the Autumn of 2015.

Does anyone have accurate information to support or deny these "rumours"..?

Hi.
I am making this enquiry on behalf of a friend who has little understanding of computers and the like and so I might therefore be a little short of accurate data, but this is how I understand the problem.

My friend has several email accounts which she administers through Thunderbird on a laptop Win 10 platform. One of these email accounts is a BT Business email account which has the tag @btconnect.com. Following some recent problems with sending and receiving on this account, it has been reconfigured with the help of BT (with numerous password changes) to an account that now appears to be accessible only through Office 365/Outlook. Attempts to alter the account settings in Thunderbird fail to recognise the User Name/Password combination as do attempts to set up a New Account in both Thunderbird and Outlook (used in stand alone mode). The only access that works is one through Firefox/Office 365/Outlook. Office 365 immediately recognises the User and demands no further authentication, allowing subsequent clicking on the Outlook tab and thence into the email.
"https://outlook.office.com/owa/?realm=btconnect.com etc."
This indicates to me that the password has been entered previously at the Office 365 prompt and "remembered". My friend is fairly sure that the current password that she has written down is the correct one but I have no way of checking this.

My friend would dearly like to have this @btconnect.com email account working again within Thunderb... Read more

Hi ljohn21752

Welcome to Tech Support Guy Forums!

Did you try Exporting the messages in Outlook Express *to* Outlook?
In Outlook Express:
File > Export Messages

Or Importing the messages *from* Outlook Express into Outlook?
In Outlook (version?)
File > Import and Export > Import Internet Mail and Addresses > Next > Outlook Express > Next > Finish

What happened when you tried?

I am a long time hotmail user and was happy with it.

Some time ago, Microsoft converted me to Outlook but I have the same hotmail email address
recently when I load outlook, it takes a very long time if it loads at all due to looking like it gets into a loop as I get the little working icon but nothing else happens. When it does load and I try to display a email it looks like the software gets into a loop and at the bottom I get a waiting for message that most of the time says waiting for r1.res.office365.com which gives me a unending loop.

Does anyone have feedback on what may be causing this behavior? I have googled all sorts of ways and looked at Microsoft user help and so far have not found a solution.

Does anyone know of a similar web based email system? I have several computers and like the fact I can visit the same email and hold folders from other computers.

This outlook issue has be more or less at a loss and any help is appreciated.

When I try and view my office365 emails on my Windows Phone the page just freezes up so it is pretty useless. Isn't that kind of embarrassing that their own product doesn't work with their own email system?

I know it is uncool to have a Windows Phone but I actually like my WP and don't care much for apps, however I find it annoying that their own internet browser cannot work with their own sites (Including this site too!)

I have two issues, they are somehow related:

1- Am always prompted to enter the account credentials for an Office365 e-mail on MS Outlook.. without even closing and reopening Outlook, am suddenly prompted to enter the credentials, no network disconnection occurs during this time

2- The second problem is that I have to enter the credentials 4 times before it gets connected again! it is similar to what happens when the password is wrong, however, I just check the remember password and click on Ok 4 times and am connected
any suggestions for both problems?!
Solving the first one might ease the impact of the second...

I've got my PST located on my external HDD. Imoved the location a while ago and I must have still been on OfficeXP 2002. All my machines are Office 2003 Pro and was wondering if it would benefit me to change the file folders to the new Outlook File Folders format.

Secondly, I've been trying to read up on converting possibilities. Would I just create a new PST (I guess in the same folder on my External HDD) and then move all my folders (Contacts/Inbox...) to the new Personal Folder in the list, then delete the old PST file.

I've read a lot about creating Profiles on the machine via Control Panel--> Mail. If I do that on each of my machines, would that cause any glitches (some error message that a folder is missing or something) whenever I plug in my external HDD and use outlook because the profiles may be slightly different for whatever reason on each machine. Right now, my Outlook runs really smooth in terms of email, contacts and calender.

The only bump I keep getting is if I am writing an email and I click the 'To' button to show my address list, I get a message that the list is missing. It must be trying to look for the contacts folder on another machine's setting, but in reality it should be looking at the same Contact List from the PST file on my External HDD.

This will occur intermittently, but consistently. If a user is switching between emails or trying to download an attachment, Internet Explorer will stop responding and prompt you to "recover webpage." If you let it go for a few minutes, it may
respond finally, or may not and need to be recovered.
I have tried deleting browsing history and clearing the cache, running IE11 without addons, and fiddling with numerous settings. This only occurs on machines with a certain Group Policy, and the only difference in Internet Options Advanced settings is "Use
software rendering instead of GPU rendering" is checked on the affected machines, but not on my machine, where it works fine (though somewhat slow). Our Group Policy resets the Internet Options settings upon restarting, so I am not currently able to test
if this is the culprit without consulting the network admin first.
I have included the Windows Event Viewer logs for these errors if it helps.

I have over 13 years of Outlook Express folders and addresses that I desperately need to convert to Outlook 2007. I should have imported them into Outlook before I made the "Easy File Transfer" to the new Win 7 machine, but didn't know I needed to do that. Several years ago I had imported the files into Outlook, although that data did transfer it is now way out-of-date and full of duplicates.

The up-to-date data is still in my old machine and also in an external hard drive backup. I have isolated the Outlook Express personal folders into .dbx format and the addresses into .wab format.

Is there a way this can be reformatted into Outlook? Or is there some other way? I would probably also need to delete what is already in Outlook first, or I would have many more duplicates.

I welcome any suggestions.

First off, yes I want an iCalendar vs an Outlook calendar file because, heresy of heresies, I prefer Thunderbird to Outlook. Moving on...

My work doesn't offer an option to download the weekly schedule as a file, and my schedule changes so often that each week I have a whole schedule to plug in. I'd like to automate the process. Pulled directly from the clipboard, the table looks like this: EDIT: this forum doesn't seem to keep tables and wants it vertical like this. Just imagine the text is in a horizontal table.

12:30 pm - 07:15 pm

12:00 pm - 03:00 pm
Front Service Clerk

08:00 am - 02:45 pm
Front Service Clerk
M: 10:15 am - 10:45 am

Is there a way to make a macro to pull the time and put it into the time section of an iCalendar file, pull the "M" and put it into the "location" section, while ignoring the "Front service clerk" section? Important: Saturday is the first day of the week. Also, days I don't work are blank and get copied into the table. Any way to fix that? Preferably it'd then save it as an .ics file, but it can just put it out in ics format and I can change the file extension.
Thanks.

I have a sound file in Palm PDB format created in the Palm Voice Memo program. I moved it from the Palm device to the Windows desktop PC. Problem is I cannot find any way to convert this to any format readable by the Windows system.

I moved the file from the Palm's internal memory to its SD card because the Palm Voice Memo application would not allow it to be copied to the SD card so now it is no longer in the Palm's internal memory, neither can it be put back into the Palm's internal memory in any way that the Voice Memo program can recognize it.

If I could get it back into the Palm's Voice Memo program, I could at least play it; but, it is more desirable to just convert it from PDB to WAV or MP3 or any other Windows format.

I've been working on this problem off and on for several weeks and have no solution. I would even be willing to pay someone to do it for me if anyone can.

A:Convert a Palm PDB file to a Windows-readable file

After weeks of off-and-on trying, I finally used a combination of words in Google that got me to a solution and I'm posting it here in the event someone else might need to do the same thing:

How to Convert PDB to MP3

Programs needed:
Clie Picture Converter
Mobile Media Converter
Both are freeware programs downloadable from the internet.

Go to your Palm data folder on your PC. Something like
C:\Program Files\Palm\[user-name]\Backup

You'll find files like [xxxxxxxxxxxx]_Vpad.pdb

These are the VoicePad files.

Copy the files you need to a temporary folder

Open Clie Picture Converter, and drag the files from the temporary folder to the Clie Picture Converter window.

New files with .JPG extension will appear in the temporary folder.

Rename these *.JPG files to *.AMR files.

use Mobile Media Converter to convert the .AMR files to .MP3 files.

This is what worked for me.

A:Solved: Can I convert mp3 file into windows media file?

You'd only want to convert a wav to any format you want to use. Going from a lossy format (such as mp3) to say wmv (another lossy format) you will lose signal degredation, and end up with a audio file you wouldn't like. Most any old audio editing programs should allow you to save in .mp3/.wmv etc.

If you have Nero, all you should have to do is burn an Audio CD and add the WAV file to the compilation. No converting by you needed.

Open Nero StartSmart, select "Make Audio CD" from the Audio tasks, click Add and browse to where you have the WAV file and Add it to the compilation, close the Add window and you shoudl that the audio file has been added. Click Next, give the CD a title and click Burn.

If so it will a comma between each entry of the contact. Each contact will be on a separate line.

Hi pegs1731, and welcome to TSG.

Due to copyright concerns, members are no longer allowed to make DST files for other members.

There may be free programs that will allow you to manually digitize your jpeg file to create a DST file. More automatic programs may be available, but they are not cheap.

Hi everyone, hope you are all doing good today.

I work for a very small charity, and we have been using Office 365 for around 3 years now, using Exchange Email, shared calendars and contacts in the most part, and recently switched over to using OneDrive for business. All was well, but we have now been told by our management that we need to move away from Microsoft and find an alternative.

We are a sub branch of a main charity, but we do not have our own charity number, so my first thought of using Google Apps for Non-profit probably wont work, but if we put aside the monetary aspect of this for now, and concentrate on the functionality that I will need.

We have two Windows 7 PC's with Office 2010 installed, and one Mac with Office 2013 installed. All our users use Microsoft Outlook to manage their emails. The two windows PC's generally are not used at the same time, but are used to look after a central mailbox.

All of the work and business documents are in OneDrive.

So - ideally, I need an alternative that can:-

1. Provide Email that will work with Outlook (easy).
2. Allow individual users email accounts to be managed, and a central one (i.e. [email protected]) from any of the three machines. I am not wedded to Outlook, if the web front end if easy enough, then happy not to use Outlook.
3. Share calendars between users.
4. Share a central contacts database.
5. Be easy to use!

I have looked at Zoho and Google Apps, but wanted to know if anyone has any bet... Read more

When sending email from User I have a drop down menu underneath the send button that allows me to 'Send As', but when sending out calendar invites from user (on admin's calendar) I get no drop down menu to allow me to 'send as'.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, even if it is just to tell me that this is not a functionality of Office365. Thank you!

I don't know if this is the right place to post this about outlook, but I thought I thought I would ask.

For email, I am using our hosting company?s webmail system (IceWarp Web Mail 5.6.7 - http://www.icewarp.com/products/icewarp_em...rver_software/).

The webmail program is basic, but it works, and I now have about 4 years of emails on it ? so it runs very slow.

My other business partners use POP3 ? Outlook for their email, but they go into the office everyday ? I work from home and travel a lot ? which is why I use webmail.

Now, we are going to switch hosts, and before that happens, I need to get all my webmail off the current host?s server ? and get it into Outlook or another client.

Some details:
1) Emails that are stored on current host?s servers ? are organized and ready to be removed from the servers - I would like to keep the file structure.

2) I would prefer that the email is put into my Base machine, but I would like the ability to back-up/clone the Base outlook account ? and transfer that file to another machine, so on the road I can still access old email.

My question is, how would I go about doing this?

Can outlook do this? Or do I need a different email client?

A:Convert Webmail to Outlook?

Sounds like you need to simply connect to your current host via POP3 or IMAP and use outlook to back everything up to a .PST file.
Once you have a PST file you can back it up, move it around and import it to other machines running Outlook.

I have been using our hosting company's web mail server system for my email (icewarp web mail 5.6.7 - http://www.icewarp.com/products/icewarp_email_server_software. The web mail program is very basic, but hey it works. So I've been using it for almost 5 years and I guess cause all that stuff is still on there, it's running really slow.

So my biz partners are all using Outlook for their email using the POP3. They all work directly into the office, but I work from home and ocasionaly I travel, which is why i have just continued to use the web mail program.

Our IT guy has convinced us to switch hosts and I need to get my emails of the current hosts serve and get it onto Outlook.

I need something that is going to do this -

1- Emails are stored on current hosts serves are organize d and ready to be removed from the servers.

2- I would prefr that the email is put in my base machine, but I would like to also be able to backup or clone the base outlook acct then transfer that file to a different machine so on the the road I can still access my old emails.

How could I do that? Can Outlook do that, or do I need a different email client?

Thanks of the help. The guy is wanting to switch hosts serve soon, so I'm also on a bit of a tiem crunch.

Thanks.

My Office365 Home Premium subscription was up for renewal so I got the Military Appreciation version which is just a repriced Home Premium.

Went to my account at office.microsoft.com to do it with IE from Windows 8.1. Scrolled down to use a product key. After entering the product key, was taken to the page to select country/region and language. Language was not selectable and the 'continue' button wouldn't do anything.

Tried from a different box and still no joy.

Did a chat with MS Tech support. Turns out the blasted procedure won't work with IE (whichever version on W8.1). Tech remote controlled my unit, downloaded Chrome and used it and all went just as it was supposed to.

Now simple as that seems to be with hindsight, took the tech about 30 minutes to figure it out too. I never would have thought an MS site wouldn't work properly with IE.

A:Office365-extending subscription problem

It's the same with Office 365 Business with Sharepoint websites, can't do it with Microsoft's own IE. Also using the main admin panel with IE is a lottery; sometimes there's nothing to see, sometimes parts can be seen, every now and then it works as designed.

Hi,
I'm trying to figure out how to get 13,000 contacts to export to separate word documents (one doc per contact).
Is this possible?

The goal here is to get each contact from outlook, as an note entry in Evernote or Anote, and I figured the best way woiuld be to go through word then upload to the note program.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Hi senorpablo,
You should be able to do this with a mail merge. What version of Word and Outlook are you using?

OK - I know - Incredimail is pants!! However.... I have got it and had it for some time and now I really want to go to Outlook 2007 but desperately want to take all my stored mail over to it as well. I have searched the 'net' but it seems like many of the suggestions are now out of date. I don't want to pay to do this and appreciate that I may get them all showing the same date or something but can any body help with a CURRENT solution to this problem? Seems like it may involve a two stage conversion process but which one and how do I do it.

Thank you
