forward the mail from my old account to my new account automatically.

Q: forward the mail from my old account to my new account automatically.

I'm getting rid of an old netscape web based email account and begin a new yahoo account. I would like to forward the mail from my old account to my new account automatically.
Yahoo gives instructions on doing this but says I need a POP server name. Will this type of mail forwarding work with web-based email? If so, how do I find out netscapes POP server name?

Preferred Solution: forward the mail from my old account to my new account automatically.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

newcomer just looking for an answer to: how one forwards their outlook mail account to an aim.com mail account?

A:How does one forward their outlook mail account to an aim.com mail account?

There are no such things as Outlook mail accounts (in the context of your question anyway). Your mail account is on a server where Outlook fetches mail from.

The better way to set up mail forwarding is on the server. If you have some sort of a web interface or a shell account, then you may be able to set the forward address yourself. Otherwise, talk to the mail server administrator.

You can set up mail filtering rules in Outlook too, which say that whenever Outlook receives a new message, it will send it so somewhere else. This approach is very bad though, since you would have to have your Outlook running 24/7 to keep the forwarding ability.

This morning I logged on my computer to see that only 12/36 of my shortcuts were displayed, as well as all of my user settings(such as my custom theme, hiding the PC Action Center, my keyboard back-light coloring, and my device drivers) reset/missing and my shortcuts on the action bar being unpinned. I wasted an hour+ trying all these broken shortcut fixes I looked up online(including restarting the explorer.exe, creating a .bat file that would delete the IconCache, booting up in safe mode, and numerous other potential fixes), none of which worked.
I just realized that for some reason, the desktop/account I am being shown is the Public account, not my personal/administrator account. Any time I log in to my personal account, I'm automatically greeted with only the public desktop/folders/etc. Going in my C:\Users\[MyName]\Desktop showed the appropriate programs/shortcuts being right there in the folders though.

Any help in fixing this issue would be greatly appreciated, as I'm simply out of ideas. I'm using Windows 64-bit, and I didn't download/run any system fixes or scans the previous day to trigger this event.
P.S. I didn't post my system specs because I doubt they'd help in this scenario.

How does a child account become a normal adult account? Is this something that happens automatically at a certain age? Or do I as head family account holder have to initiate something?

The reason I ask is because trying to use Edge on a child account is proving tiresome. Despite deleting my son's child account and re-creating it we are launching Edge and it is taking from anywhere between 10 seconds to a minute to become usable. When I say useable I mean the ability to surf, the actual browser is launched and you can go into settings etc BUT no web pages will load despite even typing web addresses in. It's as if Edge is waiting for MS server side to give it some kind of approval before it will allow any web activity. Once it's up and running it's fine but closing the browser session and relaunching Edge will bring back the long delay. Our adult accounts have no such issue using edge. Trying Mozilla Firefox on the child account also poses no such problems. We have no child restrictions setup online for the child account. So really he should be able to use Edge freely. But I feel the activity monitoring is somehow stifling the ability to use Edge.

If it doesn't improve I feel like abandoning the child account and just having him use an adult account instead. At least then Edge will start working quicker. But how does one convert child account to adult account. Or do we have to wait several years for his age to tick over?

Upgraded from Windows 7 to Win 10 and was loving it (was). Saw there was a mail app and thought that would be pretty handy. Signed in and since then, I have to log in to my PC as my email address and password.

I don't want that.

How do I revert my existing user back to a non-Windows live user, with a normal, local account and password?

I am happy to not use the Mail app if that's what it takes, but my concern is that the profile I have now has all my icons and docs and stuff and I don't want to go through the hassle of copying over the profile.

There must be a way to undo this change, but I can't find it.

I can only guess that the Account.equals() method in Windows' codebase looks like this:
return this.emailAddress == account.emailAddress;

A while back, I realized I no longer needed my Hotmail address, and set up my Microsoft account to use my G-mail address. This simplified things quite a lot for me. This is the account I use to log into Windows 8.
I just decided to try out the much-hated Mail app, and set up my G-mail account there. After some imperfectness, I thought about just removing it and using Chrome G-mail on its own. However, I ran into this:
They seem to falsely think that my G-mail account is the same as my Microsoft account, when in reality there's no reason I shouldn't be able to remove this. (Heck, it wasn't there 10 minutes ago) Any ideas? If this is a real bug, any way to submit it to Microsoft?

Forward copy all emails to a second account?

Problem: 3 devices, all have the same 2 accounts (@outlook.com and a generic Exchange account), 1 device is not receiving on the Outlook.com account. That device is my wife's laptop which is with her out of town.

As a temporary work-around I want to tell her desktop Outlook '10 to forward a copy of all emails received in the Outlook.com account to the second account. Since she is receiving on the second account on her laptop she'll then see the emails and I presume can change the sending account on a reply to the non Outlook.com account if she wishes to reply while out of town.

I right clicked on the Outlook.com account and neither Properties had the option nor could I find an option in advanced options?

Btw, if anyone has a bright idea why her laptop Outlook.com is not receiving I'm open to all suggestions.

I have two email accounts in OE 6. One is the primary and is the selected 'default'. However, when I reply or forward, OE selects the secondary account. It doesn't matter to which acct the mail was addressed. Only new mail gets the 'default' account address. ?? If I click the address bar I get to choose which I want but that is not what I want to do everytime. 90% of time I use the primary. I want the 'default'(primary) to be automatically selected, then if I want to use the secondary I can change to it. I have gone to tools - options - accounts and reselected my primary account/address but no joy. If I select the secondary as the default it is automatic for all three. How do I get my primary 'default' address to be automatically chosen for all three ??

A:Solved: OE - reply and forward account selection

Hi Old Aggie and welcome to TSG.

To set the Default identity, click on File at the top of OE. Go down the menu and click on Identities. Select Manage Identities and you'll get the window I've attached below.
The top line will be the identity that OE starts with. The second line will set the identity that is used when you click on a link to send an E-mail. When you've got it set the way you want, click OK.

Just reread your post and realized that's probably not what you asked.
Check the Properties for each identity,Tools>Accounts>Mail tab>Properties. Make sure the Outgoing Mail is set the same as the Incoming for each account on the Servers tab.

For some reason there is 3 multi boot options, all which lead to the same OS.
This is probably from the installation issues I had which caused me to reinstall 3 times before I found a fix.

I have different question, but close to subject of this tutorial. I have 3 different accounts on my PC, on it's Windows 7 part. 2 of them are rarely used. So I would like that one of them was automatically chosen at startup, but still asking me for providing password. I would like to simply avoid clicking in user accounts icons each time. If other user (than myself) would like to log-in, he would need to first press "Switch user" button under icon of my account. Of course if this is possible to set Windows 7 to work in such way...
I remember that similar thing was possible in Windows XP. I remember that I even have to disable it once for some reason, but I don't remember more details (that was 11 years ago...). Is something like I described possible in Windows 7?

Thank you in advance for any answer.

Hello all,

So, an option to define a default e-mail account per recipient.

It is useful, in cases when you manage your personal e-mail account and your corporate e-mail account in one outlook profile. So all my customers need to see my corporate e-mail address, while all my friends need to see my personal e-mail address. Currently I have to choose manually, but sometimes I can forget to change it from my default account..

I know there's no such option in the Outlook itself, but an add-on/macro perhaps?

I got a Linksys E1000 N router for Christmas and while hooking it up today I noticed it came with a "feature" that automatically sets up an unsecured (although it still needs a password) guest account for, well, house guests I would assume. I'm not too crazy about people even being able to see my SSID let alone an unsecure connection.

I used the disc to set it up and apparently there is a utility on there that will let you disable it, however, since I made changes to the router's default settings the Linksys software from the disc will no longer allow me to access those features. Does anyone know if there is a way to get rid of this guest account without having to reset my router's factory settings and start all over?

Within the last 3 days or so, Vista has randomly (as far as I can tell) logged off my user account. This is problematic in that I don't use user accounts. I just have myself set as the admin and no one else uses the computer so I have no other user accounts. About 3 days ago I upgraded Vista to the latest service pack and I updated my Nvidia drivers to the latest WHQL drivers. I have my computer set to never log off, sleep, or activate a screen saver so I'm at a loss as to how to stop it.

Windows Vista Ultimate x64

Edit: it seems as though if I leave it alone for approximately a minute or two the account logs itself off. It's not so much random as I thought.

2nd Edit: It seems as there is a slight bug in Windows and I finally solved my problem. I have "None" selected as a screen saver but I checked another screen saver, "Blank," and next to it was a box checked with "On Resume display Startup Screen." Despite not having a screen saver set, Windows used the settings for a screen saver in this instance.

I read a few articles on how to make Windows 8 automatically log in, yet I wantWindows 8 to automatically log in to the main account which is password protected AND automatically switch user.

I want to do this because sometimes when I turn on the computer, I walk away then come back to it. You see, the reason why I want to do this is because when I turn on the computer and come back to it to log in my account, there's a little bit of a wait time to load up the account. If the computer automatically logs in and switches the user, then when I come back to the computer, all I have to do is type in the password, and everything is already loaded in that account.

Is that option possible? It must be.

A:Automatically Log In To Main Account & Switch User

Do you really want to switch users or you want your screen password protected?

It sounds to me you want to log on and then after (say 1 minute of being idle) lock the screen. To do this you could set up a new Task Scheduler task to call this: rundll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation

Enclosed is an example task you can import - copy the xml below into notepad and save it as lockscreen.xml (.xml attachments can't be uploaded here). You can then import it into task scheduler.
You will need to change the user (COMPUTER\USER) and may want to play with the idle time, delay time. You can do this when you import the task - no need to edit the xml.

Hi BC mods,
For a while now, my hotmail account has been sending all sorts of spam on its own. It's become so frequent (several times daily) that my friends are on my case about it. I rarely use this particular account for e-mail purposes, but it is used on a daily basis for messenger, facebook among other things. The Seventh Son

A:Hotmail account sending spam automatically!

Hello The7thSon

It sounds like your account information may have become compromised. By far the safest, smartest, and most secure course of action would be to close that account. However, you may try simply changing your password. Make sure you use a clean computer (one that isn't infected with malware), and make sure to use a strong, complex password that you do not use elsewhere.

Alternatively, you can try contacting Hotmail and see what they recommend.

Hope that helps,

If it can be set to load up to that account all the time instead of giving an onscreen choice it would be a big help. Turn it on and forget it kind of thing.

Courtesy to a family member we wouldn't want to deleted the unused account either just bypass the choices screen and load the same user account all the time.

A:Solved: Automatically loading a user account.

start > run > control userpasswords2

uncheck the box that says "Users must enter........"

I am new to Vista and actually like Windows Mail. I have my ISP email account which works as it should in Windows Mail. I also have a @live.com (I suppose this is the replacement for the hotmail account.). Is there a way of adding the @live.com account to the accounts in Windows Mail? If this should be addressed in the Vista Forum feel free to move it please. TIA for any help

I am using multiple mail accounts at work, some of which require me to use access cards at specific work stations.

I wonder if there is a way to have MS Outlook to send me a notification from my mail account B to my primary mail account A whenever my mail account B recieves an email, because I simply have no time running back and forth between workstations checking for emails that may not be there anyway.

Because of security policies, I can not simply forward mails from account B to account A, so what I need is Outlook to email me a notification saying "an email has been recieved" - nothing about the subject and/or content of the recieved email.

This would be pretty much like the notification on for example smartphones saying "one new email", but for obvious reasons I can not access this account with my smartphone, nor would I be allowed to anyway.

Is this possible, and if so, how?

Thanks in advance!
