I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I have no personal experience with it, but your N5110 uses NVidia Optimus technology. It uses the Intel graphics much of the time, but is supposed to switch to the NVidia graphics for more demanding purposes.

I installed Windows 7 RC and it does not recognize my nvidia graphics card. No graphics card shows up in device manager. My screen is smaller than the monitor. There is a black border around my desktop. There is one error icon in device manager. It is on a PCI to PCI bridge. I tried installing nvidia drivers but I get a message that there is no card supported by those drivers. Here are some specs of my system.

EVGA nForce 790i SLI FTW motherboard
Nvidea GeForce 9400 GT Video card in PCI slot (only slot in use)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
TIA,

A:Win 7 does not detect Nvidia card

have you disabled the old graphics card in device manager? (if it is an integrated card) then run your cd driver disc again for the new card.
also unplug your pc and check you seated the card properly.

Hello,
I have an alienware laptop with an nvidia 335m gt graphics card and it works perfectly for about a week. Then after an update, it can't be detected. This is the second time this has happened, the first time I just reformatted and it was back. Now after about the same amount of updates, it's not being detected again and the system reverts to one called "dell chipset family". The nvidia geforce program is still installed, however when I run it, it can't find the graphics card either. Please help lol I don't want to have to reformat every week because I'm not savvy enough to figure out what the problem is.

Thank you
Ricky

A:Cannot detect my nvidia 335m gt graphics card after update

You should not be installing this update.

Download the video drivers directly from Dell.

Uninstall any video drivers you have now.

Install the drivers you downloaded from Dell.

It will now be fixed.

Laptops are different, you need the driver from Dell and do not let windows update it.

Make sure windows is set to let you know about updates, but let you decide whether to install them, do not install any video drivers using windows update.

I KNOW it's in the right place inside, but my computer won't detect it. The PNY software DVD won't detect it. It says not found. I understand that you have to install a diver that's compatible, and I tried that, but it says checking system... and then It can't find it! It's been months. A:Computer won't Detect Nvidia Geforce 730 Graphics card

You need to tell use more about your computer, what is the make and model of it, what is the model of the motherboard, what is the model of the power supply? What version of Windows?

Is it the Geforce GT 730 you bought or something else? What is the intended use of the new graphics card?

And what graphics card or GPU did you have before adding this card?

Do you have the monitor connected to the new graphics card or do you by chance still have it connected to the integrated graphics that many computer have? It needs to be connected to the new card before turning the computer on.

Have you made sure the card is seated fully in the slot?

Have you tried using the latest drivers from the NVidia website: http://www.geforce.com/drivers

Do you have access to another computer to try the card to make sure its not defective?

Hello, I recently performed a clean install of Windows 7 x64 Ultimate onto my computer. While doing so, I had to unplug my graphics card and use the onboard video, otherwise I'd get an error about unexpected restarts.

After installing, Windows 7 doesn't detect the graphics card (the card works, but it doesn't show up under the device manager and I can't install nVidia drivers). If I use the BIOS to switch to onboard video, then that shows up on the device manager and works fine, but I use this PC for gaming so I'd prefer to use the video card.

Any help would be greatly appreciated .

Hi,I have in the past had a lot of problems with my Nvidia K2000M on my W530. Windows have kept disabling this due to "code 43" (Yellow triangle by the display driver).I have solved this by reinstalling Nvidia drivers, but when this happened every 3 days or so, I started to suspect something was wrong. And I believe I was right.... I tried to uninstall the driver (probably a mistake) before reinstalling the driver, but now the graphics card cannot be detected at all. When I try to install Nvidia drivers I get the following error message: "NVIDIA Installer cannot continue. This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware". I also tried to disable optimus in BIOS, and enabled discrete graphics to try to force the computer to find the NVIDIA graphics card, but this obviously didn┤t work. The computer then starts up with low graphcis and bad resolution. Under "Display adapters" in Device Manager there is no card detected at all (As the Intel integrated was disabled). So, is my NVIDIA graphics card defective, or is there som other solution to try to detect it? PS! I Also did a system update through Lenovos update center. Updated firmware in BIOS etc. This did not solve the problem..... Thanks,-°

Here's the deal,
I purchased a HP Pavilion dv9540us Entertainment Notebook PC and upgraded to Windows 7, after I got a virus and let Microsoft Techs into my laptop remotely in an effort to remove the worm and they deleted some key OS Files. So, they were kind enough to give me Windows 7 Professional & install Office 2010, but failed to inform me that upgrading from Vista to Windows 7 would render my Nvidia graphics card useless. So, here I am trying to figure out what to do and where to get the correct Drivers to get my HDMI & Other ports working again. I tried talking to HP, but to them it's a matter of national security & if your not willing to "Grea$e the wheels" they're not willing to give up the "seceret." Although, They did tell me that I will need to download a chipset driver to my HP Pavilion dv9540us that is compatible with Windows 7 and then my Nvidia graphics card will be detectible by my Device manager. Then I would need to update my Nvidia Drivers, Reboot, and I should be up and running. Sounds good, but what is the HP Driver I need? Does anyone have a link or any better input?
Because, I am about ready to Smash this thing or hunt down some HP Support guy.

Hello

I just received a new motherboard for my Dell N5110.

However I appear to be having some issues. The computer will power up but the screen remains black.

When I press the start button it sounds as though it is starting up but it doesn't boot properly and it goes quiet after a few seconds. The screen stays completely black. The three lights on the keyboard do light up in a sequence. They light in the following sequence: Left Middle Right Middle Left (Stays On) Middle (Stays On) Right (Stays On) They all stay on for a second together and then all turn off completely. The left and right lights on the front left of the laptop are also both on constantly. Once the computer is on, when I press on switch the computer turns off instantly without any shutdown process.

Troubleshooting:

Verified no physical damage to parts
Display screen is also new
Pressing F8 or F12 during start produces no results
Removed power from the laptop
Removed cables
Removed batter
Held power button for 90 seconds
Let go power
Battery back in
Power plugged back in
Restarted device
No change
Tested with External monitor
No display on external monitor
Swapped ram
No change
Disassembled machine cleaned parts with compress air and reassembled
No change

LCD Display recently replaced was working
new motherboard as mentioned.
Any ideas?

Contact Dell in Austin, TX. They actually are a good company and will assist you. They will more then likely ask you to send the computer back to them. If you can save anything from the HD then do so as they will most likely wipe it clean or install a new drive. I am guessing that you bought this new from Dell.

Dell 5110 AMD version with W7 64 bit. This laptop works real crisp when it is not frozen. It is getting random total freezes that don?t seem to be caused by any specific task. It freezes whatever is on the screen, the mouse and keyboard. All that is left is the power button and the led?s. It may happen as soon as windows starts, after a couple hours of use or anywhere in between. Usually it seems to be pretty sudden and rarely gives any warning something is coming up. I have tried many of the things I have found to try and fix this.

Memtest and the Dell hardware tests all pass. The only added program on to what the OS has is chrome. I updated IE. Nothing has been done to likely get any malware but I have run Malwarebytes and superantispyware scans and they are clean. MSE scan comes out clean also. I have all current updates. Drivers are at a minimum and are all fine as far as what device manager says. I have run sfc scan and it always comes up clean. Seatools, Easeus surface test and chkdsk have been run, and all is fine. I have run defrag. When I watch task manager it is not running up the cpu or memory, those stay normal even when it freezes. Temps are not running up either.

This is the second clean install and both ended up with this same problem. Have done additional hd and memory tests and all pass. A video stress test was run and that was all fine. No way known to force bsod to get a memory dump as everything but the start button freezes when this happens. I tri... Read more

A:Black screen problem dell N 5110

Hi LAZY12,
Is there any damage / liquid spillage on the system?
Does the system overheat? Does an external monitor work fine?
Press and hold the fn key + power button to turn on the system and it should initiate the diagnostics - check for any possible beep codes.
Swivel the screen when you run the below test and check if the display is intermittent:
Run the LCD bist - Turn off the system and press and hold the "D" key + power button to turn on the system and it should run the LCD built in self test - see this link for more info.
If the external monitor works fine and the internal LCD has no display, the LCD assembly needs to be replaced. If the LCD self test above passes and both the monitors have no display, then the motherboard needs to be replaced.
You could contact our team to get a quote for a paid service call - http://dell.to/1vnT6CQ
You could also order the parts online here.
Also, please click my DELL-username and write me a private message with the service tag and your Name for case records.

Hi,
My Dell Inspiron N 5110 is shutting down suddenly when connecting adapter. It is running fine when battery is fully charged. But when battery is about to be empty, if I try to plug in the adapter, it is shutting down suddently, losing all unsaved data. This behavior is random but frequent, some times it works fine and some times not. It is not under warranty. This started happening from last 2-3 months. Before that it was working fine. It is around 3 years old, its mother board was once replaced by Dell, around 2 years back, when it was under warranty. But this kind of sudden shut down is happening from only last 2-3 months. Its fan was recently cleaned. It is also heating up a lot. I have also checked with some other adapter, but same issue is occuring.
Till one week back, message "The AC adapter wattage and type cannot be determined...." used to come during boot-up. If I press F1 and continue, AC Adapter Warning message "The AC power adapter type cannot be determined" used to appear in a window. Once I click OK, it used to suddenly shut down. But this is not happening from last one week, I thought it got well, but again today it suddenly shut down without displaying any warning message. This is very adhoc and painful.
After suddent shut down, it wouldn't start. Then I remove battery, press-hold power start button for 10 seconds and release. Then I replace battery, connect adapter, it will start. But again it may or may not display the message. If... Read more

I've had the Win 7 laptop for a few years, and it's worked faultlessly.
Now the HDMI port no longer works and seems completely dead, VGA port is ok. I've tried several HDMI cables and monitors / projectors. The laptop used to switch the screen off as soon as I plugged in a projector or monitor (and then displayed on the external monitor), that no longer happens, so it's not detecting the monitor or projector at all.
I've been trying to update the graphics drivers without success, I've tried two things:-
1. Went to graphics device in Device Manager and pressed 'Update Driver', it told me my driver was up-to-date (even though its dated 2011)
2. I went to the Dell driver download page and downloaded the most recent Intel (R) Graphics Family driver (August 2012), but this unzipped to a GUI application that crashed.
So I'm a bit stuck, any help appreciated, thanks

5 BEEPS AT STARTUP IN DELL INSPIRON N 5110

Hello,

I am using a DELL INSPIRON N5110 , 2nd gen Intel core i5 ,4GB RAM,1GB NVIDIA GT525M graphics card,640GB HDD and Windows 7 Home premium. My laptop was functioning properly for 1 year but I had a serious misfortune last Saturday. My laptop fell down to the tiles floor from my cot ( approx 45cm depth) . After repositioning I tried to boot the laptop which had gone off. It booted with 5 continuous beeps, the sound of which decreases in intensity when the welcome screen appears. But the sound still persists. You know how much annoying is it to have! I did a thorough system checkup and diagnostics which turned out to be normal. All components worked properly, I played FIFA 12 , watched some movies and accessed the internet. The only problem I find is that the caps lock indicator is not working now. I tried to contact the DELL helpline that day itself but I couldnĺt reach them as the call got disconnected all the time. When finally I got the line, I told them my problem and they finally told me Iĺll have to get my motherboard replaced which will cost INR11,000 . very sadly, my laptop warranty had just expired two days prior to the accident. When I went through various forums and communities, I got an idea to do a battery flea and after that the beep disappeared. Unfortunately the beep came back after sometime, still 5 in number !! I also got an info that there could be some issues with the CMOS battery which can be replaced. I am t... Read more

A:5 beeps at startup in dell inspiron n 5110

Hello Anees, and welcome to TSG.

You are most likely correct that the 5 beeps indicates a CMOS battery problem. There is no way of easily knowing if the fall loosened the battery in its socket and it needs to be reseated or if the fall damaged the motherboard in the area of the CMOS battery with a broken solder connection or a broken trace on the motherboard.

Checking the CMOS coin cell battery will require disassembly of the computer as described in Dell's on line documentation here:
http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/insN5110/en/sm/index.htm

A local computer repair shop should be able to do the work for you and tell you if the problem is more than just a loose battery.

Most standard laptop warranties that I have seen do not cover damage caused by abuse, like dropping the computer.

EDIT: I have no idea what you mean by a, "battery flea".

Hey guys, I have been using my Laptop with my Bluetooth speaker for a long time.
Today, suddenly I would not find my Supertooth speakers under "Devices" where it has always been.
Uninstalled Bluetooth drivers, installed them again, still, cannot find it. I cannot add it either.

When I went into the Bluetooth option it said "Error with local device". Weird. Restarted my Laptop, went into BIOS and cannot find any Bluetooth ON/OFF thing, and I am sure I had one there before.

I booted my Laptop again, went into Windows Mobility Center and I see that Bluetooth is "OFF".
In services all Bluetooth services are started and running, tried stopping them and starting them again, still, no luck.
Any ideas? thanks!

EDIT:

Anyone who might have the same problem, it took me few days to work this out and I am stil not sure what I have done. But, I will tell you the steps I took before it started working back.

I removed all the Bluetooth drivers, and everything. I used Your Uninstaller! to remove everything completely so I would not have anything left. After that, I went into BIOS and even tho I didn't see any "Radio" option or any "Bluetooth" option I rested all settings to defaults. Booted up again, installed drivers again, viola, my Bluetooth started working again. No idea why this happened at first, or how. But this is how I got it fixed. BTW. I recently purchased a REFURBISHED DELL GX270 which has 3 GHZ processor and 1 GB of RAM from local market here in PAKISTAN.It came pre-installed with WIN-XP but I want to upgrade to WINDOWS VISTA and want to add some 3d card which will enable WINDOWS-AERO graphics on desktop.
You can view my computer specs at Documentation
Can u please some NVIDIA GEFORCE card which will atleast enable windows aero.
I think I should go for

GeForce AGP FX5500 256MB (128-BITS)

GeForce AGP FX5500 128MB (128-BITS)

GeForce AGP FX5200 128MB (64-BITS)

CAN U PLEASE TELL ME WHAT CARD should I purchase and that what is AGP or PCI.

By reading my pc specs, can u tell me its AGP or PCI compliant but I think its AGP compliant.

I SHALL BE THANKFUL FOR ANY HELP U MAY OFFER.

A:Best NVIDIA card for my DELL GX270

Well, if your model is the desktop model, then yes. if it's the small mini computer sytle. then you''ll have a hard time getting something to fit.. Maybe look at something like this. I know the best card you could get would probably be the AGP Sapphire 3850.. it can run Crysis, no other AGP card can as good as it. not sure if that matters, but it's probs one of the best cards thats not a PCI-E card.

Look here.

Hi, I own a Dell Inspiron N5110 i5 processor laptop with 4 GB RAM and 500 GB hard disk. Its getting 14 months since I bought it.From the last few days, I could see that the machine makes beep sound on start up till the windows starts. The sound gets disappeared after OS starts. Especially if I turn on the lap from hibernation mode, some time rebooting also make the beep sound. However, I observed a similar low tone inside the system even when the machine is running. I have been using a cooler also to reduce the heat, all keys are working fine no thing is jammed, I have performed the dell H/W diagnostics test all the results were passed. Drivers are all updated, the processor fan i also running correctly. I am wondering what can be the reason.
Please do share your thoughts and suggestions about this issue.

A:Continuous beep sound from my Dell inspiron n 5110 laptop on start up ??

I have tried something from another forum that I found, but do not have the link so I cannot copy and paste or give credit to the poster.  This is what I did:
1) Unplug all power from the laptop
2) Remove the battery
3) Hold down the power button for approximately 15 seconds.
4) Reattach the battery and/or plug in the power supply.
5) Power on the laptop.
This solved my problem.

Hello Dell,

Do you guys have this brand new M2200 quadro card ready for sale?
It looks like it will fit old M4800, M4700 laptops.
If you guys have this card in stock, how much is it?
and can it work on M4800 laptop?

Thanks,

A:NVidia Quadro M2200 card for Dell M4800?

You're not likely to find these new, anywhere - this is a system of 3-4 years ago.  There are some for sale on EBay in the $500-700 range, though.

Hi - I'm new to the boards and have a question I hope someone can help me with. I have an old Dell Dimension 4100 that is running windows me and it has an nvidia tnt 2 video card. My son recently purchased Call of Duty and it doesn't seem to work on this system. I keep getting an error message that I need to upgrade my video card. I think I need a pci express card, but I'm not sure so my question is how do I figure that out and can anyone recommend a video card that is not too expensive? The system is 6 years old and I really don't feel like investing a ton of cash into it. It does have 256 mb of ram, that I know as well as an pentium 3 processor, 20 gig hard drive (small I know in this day and age) and is running @ 933mhz. Thanks in advance for the help.

Laura

A:Upgrading an nvidia tnt2 card on an old dell 4100

You need an AGP video card.Given the age of your computer you probably only have an AGP 4x slot so I would recomend an ATI Radeon 9200 or 9250. anything more powerfull than that wouldn't give you any significant improvement due to the speed of your processer and slot. upgradeing your ram to 512 mb wouldnt be a bad idea either.
Video card:

regardless of what video card and ram you get that game will probably only run on medium settings due to your processer.

Hi,
Windows XP SP2
Dell DIM4400
Video Processor nVidia GeForce2 MX/MX 400 w/TV out (latest driver updated)
nVidia Control Panel
Mitsubishi WS-55807 (RPTV-HDTV)
S-Video out and in (25 FT S-Vid cable)

While watching a movie on my PC the other day, the thought occurred to me: "Why am I NOT utilizing the TV out on my nVidia Graphics Card w/TV out and use the TV (about 20 FT away from the PC) as a second/clone monitor?"

So, I ordered a 25FT S-Video cable (due early next week) and am seeking any advice or instructions from someone who has already done this on how to set the PC/Graphic Card settings to send the best signal to the TV and any other advice you might have.

Thank you for any help.

Hello, for some reason my Dell XPS 15 L502x is not detecting my NVIDIA graphics card. I have tried uninstalling the PCI Express Root Port in the Device Manager and rebooting, and that did not work. I also tried completely uninstalling the Intel HD Integrated Graphics (and drivers) and rebooting, and that has not worked either. I have tried updating the BIOS and that has not worked. I am unsure as to what the problem is. I bought the laptop summer 2011, and have never had a problem with it before. I am currently running Windows 8.

A:Dell XPS 15 L502x is not detecting NVIDIA Graphics Card

Hi pennkid88,
Welcome to the Community.
Turn off the system. Unplug the adapter and the battery. Press and hold power button for 10 seconds. Plugin the adapter. Press and hold Fn key and turn on the system. This will start the diagnostics on the system.
If the diagnostics pass with no error codes and the system is in warranty, send me the service tag and the name listed on the account in a private message.
Thanks & RegardsManshu S#iworkfordell

Based on the research and posts here, I installed the recommended NVidia GeForce GT 620 Low Profile graphics card into my system. However, my system will not release the onboard Intel display adapter. There is no place in the BIOS to disable the display adapter, and my BIOS does not recognize there is an adapter in the PCIe slot. I downloaded and installed the latest graphics driver for Windows 10. My system shows two display adapters (Intel and NVIDIA). I disabled the Intel device in Device Manager, rebooted, but my system still doesn't recognize the new card. I am using the DVI connector because of the low profile configuration.
Odd thing is, when I boot the system, just using the new card, it starts up fine, and then the monitor goes blank. it doesn't recognize a digital signal. I purchased this card (pretty cheap cost) in the hopes of upgrading my DirectX capabilities. My Intel driver will not go beyond 11.1, and I need at least 11.3.
Any ideas?

Hello,
(Sorry for my English)

I recently purchased a Dell Latitude E6530 Laptop. Unfortunately, I have a problem with the Driver for the TouchPad. And this problem is present whether it is an installation via Windows Update (Windows 10) or manually with the driver provided on the Dell site (Input_Driver_YXX3D_WN32_10.1207.101.109_A03.exe).
Once installed, every time I turn on my PC, a box is directly displayed on my desktop with the following message:
"You must have administrator rights to delete this file." I have the choice between: "Confirm", "Ignore" or "Cancel" with a checkbox "Do this for all elements".
I have that every time I start, no matter what I do. I do not understand why because I do not even request the deletion of these files. Not only to bother me every time I start the PC, it is impossible after me to run the scroll with the middle click.
Here is the list of all the files he wants me to delete:
- Apoint.dll
- Apinfo.dll
- ApInst.dll
- ApMouCpl.dll
- ApMsgFwd.exe
- ApntEx.exe
- ApSearch.dll
- ApTaskLink.xml
- Dell.Framework.Library.dll
- DellTouchpad.exe
- DellPad.exe
- Elprop.dll
- EzAuto.dll
- hidfind.exe
- HidMonitorSvc.exe
- Uninstop.exe
- Data folder
The most disturbing thing about this is that on my other laptop Dell Latitude E6510, I have no worries, it is directly installed via Windows Update and it works directly. Why do I have problems with the E6530 and not the E6510?
What should I do to remedy thi... Read more

I just got my Nvidia Geforce 9600 GSO pcie video card in the mail today and hooked it up to my pci express slot in my Dell Inspiron 531 computer and when i powered on my computer ,all I got was a real loud screeching sound so I turned the computer off, On my video card it has a power connector slot but I cant find where to plug it in at and i think maybe with my computer model what i am needing to plug it in is not included due to them saving money and not including old connectors..

A:Solved: Nvidia 9600 GSO video Card on a Dell Inspiron 531

It's not an old connector. It's the new(ish) PCI-E 6-pin power connector, standard to any quality power supply today. And anyways, your card wouldn't propably run with the Dell's crappy low-power crap-quality power supply even if it had a PCI-E 6-pin connector.

I have posted two good power supplies in the other thread..

I have a Dell XPS 15 L502X Laptop which has an integrated graphics card and a nvidia geforce gt 540m. Is it possible to replace the nvidia graphics card and if so what cards would be able to fit in the slot?

A:Can i swap out my nvidia graphics card in my Dell XPS 15 L502X laptop?

Nothing you could buy on the open market. You should really contact Dell and see if a better replacement is available for that model.
From the NVidia forum on this exact subject:
"Some laptops are fitted with MXM modules, which are basically mini PCIe graphics cards. These modules are replaceable, yet rarely upgradeable. Normally the laptop will be designed to support a particular module, both in terms of power & cooling as well as well as form factor. Unfortunately despite the fact that 'MXM' is a standard, there are enough differences between module and laptop design that you are probably stuck with what you've got.

For laptops which are not fitted with MXM modules, the only option is to replace the motherboard as the graphics chipset will be built in.

Caveats for others:

- If the laptop you bought had faster graphics options at point of purchase - i.e. the 580M was offered but you only went for the 540M, then it is possible that a higher performance MXM module may be available. It might take quite some trial and error and time on Google to find this out.

- If the laptop was available with an NVIDIA graphics card, but you only opted for the Intel on-board at the time, then it is possible you could find a replacement motherboard which has the NVIDIA chip fitted."

when I tried to log-on and I had a difficult time waking it from its state.

"We apologize for the inconvenience but Windows did not start correctly...".

I was given several options of starting the machine, including:

I learned that Safe Mode with Networking was the only way I could boot up and get online to figure out what was happening. I'm still running that way.

Once I chose 'Safe Mode with Networking,' multiple/many! lines scrolled down the screen with this format:

I can count that there 5 new drivers released since I updated the drivers last time but the Driver detect does not detect them.
Instead it detects just two drivers that are already installed and even if I do "install the again". The Driver detect still "detects" these two "new" drivers over and over again.

Hi there,
I have recently got a Nvidia NVS Quadro 420 graphics card and have tried to connect up to 4 screens, Unfortunately this hasn?t worked and I was hoping you can help.
The equipment I have is;
Dell Optiplex 380 desktop computer, running windows 10 32-bit.
Cables being used are;
VHDCI to DVI-D splitter to 4 screens,
DVI-D to VGA straight connection to connect 4 VGA displays
So this setup goes as follows;
VHDCI >  VHDCI to DVI-D Splitter > DVI-D to VGA straight connection > VGA cable to each screen
With the above setup, Looking at the graphics card theres power going to it as fan is spinning but the screens remain unresponsive.
I have also looked in the BIOS to check if there anything there stopping it from working, everything looks ok to me.
Is there anything else I can try?
Thanks
Simon Wylie

Hello!!
Recently I had given my Dell Inspiron 15R for repairing:
(a) Hinges (in which the whole screen lid was replaced),
(b) Replacements of 3.0 Usb Ports which were not working,
(c) Batteries replaced
(d) full servicing of the laptop along with formatting and re-installation of Win 7 Os.
After receiving the above services being done. I found out two problems:
1. The Service tag which I previously owned and is still attached to the bottom of Laptop has been changed with a new tag. Why and how is what i would like to know.
My Original service ID is DB5CVQ1 which now stands in the BIOS and in Dell auto-detect as 8F72LR1.

2. The Display adapter showing only Intel HD graphics and there were no traces of Nvidia 525M graphics card. When I had brought it originally it did have Nvidia graphics card and also it showed up in the device manager plus in nvidia control panel, which is now missing.
On trying to install the Nvidia drivers file on onscreen it says "graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware."

Can anyone please provide a quick heads up to the problems I am facing, so as to resolve in time.
Thanks.

A:Nvidia 525M Graphics Card seems missing. Service Tag not matching. Dell N5110.

Wherever you had the repairs done, the technician changed the mainboard.  The service tag goes with the mainboard - so it too changed.  It appears they must have installed a UMA board (Intel-only video) in place of the one you had.  Bottom line:  contact the repair shop.
