Q: Intel Thunderbolt Driver Question for Lenovo HELP

It looks like Lenovo (Intel) has one again updated Thunderbolt related drivers. I noticed Window s Update installed these: Intel- System Intel- Software Component Intel - Extension All are labeled 1.41.789.0 Checking the Net, this seems to be Thunderbolt related. Indeed looking at the Intel Thunderbolt App, I see the Controller version is the same 1.41.7890 I have a P43s.https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/ca/en/solutions/ht508988https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/thinkpad-p-series-laptops/thinkpad-... OK it looks like Lenovo is also suggesting an even newer version. I got mine from Windows Update. Anyone know if one is preferred over the other? They are labeled the same version.

I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

Every time I run the Lenovo Updater it doesn't install the driver Intel Thunderbolt Controller Driver - 10 [64]. Every other software installes fine, except this one. This is making it so my docking station doesn't work. The LAN won't work, as well as USB. This is on an X1 Yoga 2nd Gen. I've tried to manually install the driver as well and it won't install. I called lenovo and they just sent a tech to come replace the system board, which obvioulsy did nothing. Please give me some troubleshooting steps! Thanks in advance!

Regarding the nice note pinned on Thunderbolt. I ran System Update on my P51 and no driver was offered, is there a delay to the roll out? I have had USB-C thunderbolt issues on my E570, can I expect similar updates on E570? It was not in the page but share the same controller? Can we expect any update on P50 as well?

I just got my X1 Extreme yesterday. I updated the BIOS to 1.15 and also updated other drivers. The one pending thing is the Thunderbolt firmware update utility. The first pop-up says "do not connect any Thunderbolt device", but then a second pop-up right before the firmware update says "connect at least one Thunderbolt device. I cancelled the update for now due to the conflicting pop-up messages. Note - I do not have any Thunderbolt devices connected to my X1E laptop. Can I upgrade Thunderbolt firmware safely with no Thunderbolt devices connected, or?

I have downloaded new Intel VGA Driver for Windows 10 (64-bit) here And when I try to install it I get this error:?I am using Lenovo Z50-70 and I downloaded this driver found on the list which I searched by using serial number of this laptop so it should definately be the VGA driver for this laptop. Also I am using clean installation of a different Windows 10, not the upgrade from Windows 8.1 which came with this laptop, but I don't think (or at least hope) that is the issue. Is there a way to fix this without manually forcing drivers to install?

hi i have just bought my mother a new pc lenovo windows 7 64bit i set it up all working fine but there is no sound? i thought back to vista when there were problems, i have looked at the device manager and it lists intel R h61 express chipset, i tried the lenovo site for downloads but it seems it is for realtek?
can anyone help me find which driver i need to update, if it is a driver problem?

A:lenovo pc help with intel h61 sound driver?

The Intel express chipset and the RealTek sound are two different items. Intel chipset is the motherboard chipset drivers.

Check the Control Panel/Hardware and Sound and finally the Sound Panel. The "Speakers" need to be set as the default playback device. You can also configure for the correct speaker type and test the speakers from this panel.

My display driver "Intel HD Graphics 5500" has basically stopped working. When it is enabled, it makes the screen go crazy (hard to describe), and it is usable but just barely. I can disable the driver and the issue stops. So far, the only problem I've noticed with the driver disabled is that I cannot adjust the brightness, but there are probably more issues that I don't know about yet. My computer is completely up to date, with both Windows and Lenovo updates. I have deleted and reinstalled the driver multiple times (including old versions) but every time the same issue reappears. I have no idea what to do next. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and I can give more information about my system/drivers if needed.

Hi, I want to upgrade my Windows to the latest update (October 2018). But upon reading the Lenovo support website, it seems that it's advisable to upgrade Intel Graphics Driver to version 24.20.100.6286 and newer which is available with Intel Audio Driver 10.25.0.10. I have tried updating my drivers through Lenovo Vantage, but that only installed the Nvidia VGA driver, not the Intel one. I also checked the available drivers on Lenovo support page but the Intel Graphics Driver version I need is not listed. Am I missing anything? Is there a timeline on when that driver is going to come out? Thanks.

Can I uninstall Intel HD Graphics Driver? I have an NVIDIA card. It is optimus though but I wouldn't mind if it always ran off it. I'm not sure how it works so I decided to be safe and ask.

A:Intel HD Graphics Driver [Question]

I'm guessing your computer came with Intel HD integrated graphics and that you upgraded a NVIDIA graphics card.

It's not going to hurt anything to leave the Intel driver installed.

If you uninstall it, you may receive a prompt to install the driver for it the next time you start/restart the computer.

Hi! The Thinkpad X1 Yoga 2017/2:nd edition has an OLED panel option. Lenovo's download page for this model, https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/hk/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/thinkpad-x-series-laptops/thinkpad-... , offers a driver "Intel "OLED Panel Driver for Windows 10 (64-bit) - ThinkPad X1 Yoga (Type: 20JD, 20JE, 20JF, 20JG)", 1.0.0.5, 2017/10/02, in the Display and Video Graphics section. In Windows, the device appears as "Intel(R) OLED Panel Driver" under "System devices" in the Windows Device Manager. Normally I'd think all needed to drive a display is the graphics driver (e.g. "Intel(R) HD Graphics 620" under "Display adapters") and a monitor file for resolution, frequency and color calibration ("OLED Display 2560x1440" under "Monitors"). So, why do we need an "Intel(R) OLED Panel Driver", and what does this device actually do?

Hello Lenovo, I work daily on my Lenovo Thinkpad T570 and I am very satisfied with the machine. However, there is quite an irritating problem with the laptop. The fact is, that my laptop runs Windows 10 October build 1809 and runs the newest driver from Lenovo for the Intel GPU.That is version: 24.20.100.6344.This driver version causes a lot of screen flickering on a screen connected through the HDMI port.Intel has released a new driver. Version: 25.20.100.6444.To solve the problem, Lenovo has to push this new driver. Do others also experience this problem with this driver that is known to be faulty with the October update?

i'm running windows 10, 64bit, up to date on Windows updates, about a year ago i had an incompability problem with the Intel(R) management engine interface driver, i tired everything, rolling it back, update it, uninstall and re-install, every troubleshooting option and i read so many articles, even windows defender acknowledge the problem but can't fix it with no use
i tried fixing it with a Microsoft support agent before and with the remote desktop help, Cortana had a problem too he fixed it, but the driver he said the there is nothing we could do about it because it's just an incompatible update and that we should just wait for the correct update to come in.Ever since then my laptop do crazy things on sleep, hibernate and shutdown, so i was only finding some workarounds the problem, the sleep mode when it wake up it restart so i switched to hibernating, the new things happens now when i shut down it, it opens weird now like, the keyboard lights up then lights down and the power bottom the same, then either they just stop and i have to hit the power button again or they lights of for seconds and everything runs normalNow i just experiened a bluescreen restart because of it, anyone could advise me on a solution?RegardsNada

When I install fresh driver, it works for a while till I restart the laptop. After the restart, gone! Please note: by "working" I mean for the preview which we see on "Adjust image settings with preview" page in nvidia control panel. If I don't install Intel drivers, that time nvidia driver works in that preview. Once Intel is installed, the screen flickers and goes to BSOD. I have tried all clean installations using DDU and even re-installing windows. Intel works pretty much fine though.Recently a month back I opened my laptop and changed the thermal paste which was gone bad. I applied the arctic silver 5 one. I don't see any temperature issues. Now in new update of Windows 10's task manager I only see nvidia GPU but not the integrated Intel one. I am unable to figure out the issue as what is conflicting. Is there some settings I need to change. I feel like they are conflicting somewhere. Please let me know what all is needed to figure out. Logs or any kind of report and I will provide that. Thanks

Hi Everyone, I have the Lenovo legion y545 with the rtx2060 graphics card but there is an issue, the laptop had a 2018 version of Windows 10 and it worked fine but recently, I noticed there is an update to the latest version, so naturally, I decided to update it, but as soon as the system started up again the screen started to go crazy, there were colored bars on the top that were glitching and moving the whole screen up and down. the only thing that I could understand is that the intel graphics 630 driver is probably the cause, because as soon as you uninstall the driver or disable it the glitch stops, also the laptop works fine in the dedicated graphics settingdoes anyone have any ideas as to what is causing this?

I recently updated my Lenovo Y410p to a SSD with a clean install of windows. Because of this, all my drivers are out of date. Some background on my laptop: When I first purchased it in 2014, the Intel Centrino N2230 wireless adapter was not working whatsoever. It was constantly dropping connection every minute. There were plenty of complaints about it online with many proposed solutions, all of which did not work for me. I spent weeks trying to troubleshoot the wireless card to no avail. The newest Intel Video Driver that Lenovo Companion has made available (21.20.16.4678) has an issue ive found that wasnt present in the previous one, and is not present in a newer version (22.20.16.4718) installed automatically through Windows 10 after uninstalling the driver through "Add or remove programs". The bug is that certian (maybe all?) OpenGL applications seem slightly zoomed in. I tested this with Genymotion VM's, after the install of the new driver they all seemed to run as if the window border diddnt exist, clipping the edges of what is shown in the window (much more noticable at the top due to the title bar). Ive restored from backups and manually installed that driver from Lenovos driver download page for this system and the same issue occures. While its possible its an incompatibility with that software, it is not present in the newer drivers (this "new" driver is actually alwready old) so it might be worth pushing a newer driver.

I am panicking as I need my program to work tomorrow morning at 9 AM in Scotland. I updated the video driver as reccommended by Lenovo and now my programs won't work. I contacted support at PsychoPy and they said the driver wasn't working with OpenGL 2.0. The driver only works with OpenGl 3.0+. I tried rolling back the driver, but it didn't help. I need to get this fixed today. Any ideas on what I can do to get the driver to work with OpenGL 2.0 or what driver I should install instead from Intel to get PsychoPy to work again. I tried contacting Intel but they aren't open until 2 PM tomorrow (GMT) which is too late. I tried contacting Lenovo, but they wouldn't tell me what version to download without me paying money. I don't understand why. I have a Lenovo Yoga 3 with Intel hardware. Can anyone help? Thanks!

Hey everyone, My Intel HD graphics 520 driver continuously crashes and basically shuts down my computer. The power button/keys are still on, but I just get a black screen (with some light behind it), as if it is in sleep mode, and I cannot wake up my computer anymore. The only solution then is to just force it off by holding the power button and restart it. I feel it happens at random, but it seems to occur more often when I'm playing a video or something (although that may just be a coincidence). I've had this problem for a long time and have tried several times to reinstall or update the driver. Because I got so fed up with it I just disabled the driver and used the NVIDIA Geforce 920M driver, which works sort of fine with the only big disadvantages that I can't increase or reduce the brightness of my screen anymore and can't run certain programs/games properly. So, therefore, I'm still looking for a solution.  Can anybody help me out?

This is probably not dock station problem becouse on Firefox this problem does not appear.- it happened to me (one or two times out of many times) when i disconnect and connect usb-c cable from dock , dock was not recognized. I have a user testing out the desk now with a T570. I'm able to get one monitor to funtion at 4K and the other is running at 1080p. If you check display settings I'm unable to increase the resolution to 4K. I've updated all drivers on the T570 including the display driver and thunderbolt docking station driver this morning and the system still fails to power dual 4K. I brought back the X1 I used previously and it powers the screens normally. I checked the specs of the T570 and its identical to the X1 as far as processor is concerned and the model page claims the USB-C port on the T570 can power dual 4K. What else can I try?

I couldn't reply to your thread, but it appears this is only for Windows 10 not 7 ?  Can you confirm, or will Windows 7 be released soon? Thanks!!
