I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hi,

I am trying to setup Microsoft Outlook 2010 with Exchange Server 2003, but I ve run into some problems. Normally I access the mail from mail.pi.ac.ae.

Below are some screenshots that show the error i get when i try to sign in.

After I setup the whole account, I restarted outlook. From then onwards whenever I try to open outlook it gives me this error.

After I click OK, it leads me to this window, you can see my account settings here.

When I click OK i get this error.

If i change any settings in the account settings .. and click APPLY then i get this message and Outlooks closes by itself.

The strange thing is that these same setting work just fine with the Email Client in my Nokia Smartphone

A:How to setup Microsoft Outlook 2010 with Exchange Server 2003

Have you used Outlook in this manner before prior to going to Outlook 2010? There are additional settings that need to be configured for RPC over HTTP if that is the way you were connecting before. If it was POP or IMAP you need to configure your connection that way.

Setup for RPC over HTTP. I think you have to do the initial setup from in the office.

Hello gang!

I have an odd issue that I haven't seen before. It seems that we have some, including myself, a small latency switching between folders (About 3-5 seconds). Since my computer and email account is brand spanking new (IE only 40 emails total) I shouldn't have any problems here. Another colleague doesn't seem to be affected by this, but he is using Mac version of Outlook.

One thing a user mentioned is that after a domain migration (I wasn't here for that) that's when she noticed the issue. My account however was made after that so I'm a little puzzled about why this is happening.

I have a user w/ a Dell Latitude laptop. Anyone who logs into the device is unable to access our Exchange server through Outlook OR the OWA. Several other internet sites give a "please enable TLS 1.0/1.1/1.2" warning. These sites all work properly
in Chrome.
I have tried refreshing the PC. Worked at first, then a couple hours later resumed the same behavior.
Issue persists both on internal wifi and via cable connection.
The employee who uses the device is able to access Exchange from other devices. It seems to be an issue with this one device, even after the OS was reinstalled. No one who logs into it can access Exchange or other internet HTTPS resources.
I did recently limit the SSL/TLS ciphers clients are allowed to use per this bulletin: https://technet.microsoft.com/library/security/ms15-031. However, this applied to all domain computers & no other devices are having this issue.
I'd appreciate any ideas anyone could throw out.

I have been subscribing to an exchange server through a company called 1&1 for several years. It allows me to sync my calendars, contacts and emails through outlook. My email is though Comcast. (****@Comcast.net). I am NOT a computer person, and don't totally understand even the basics, but have found it useful to be able to access those things on my home and work computers and phone. It was set up for me many years ago, but has been increasingly glitchy. I have to call the company and spend hours at a time reconfiguring my "profile:" every few months. For this I pay about $100 per year. I am beginning to think that there MUST be a better way. I was exploring Microsoft 365, which has a personal product for $69 per year. Will that do the same that my exchange service does? Can I synch it with my Comcast email? Can someone explain what an exchange server actually is, and is Microsoft 365 an exchange service? HELP!

Hello,
I am currently replacing an I.T. fellow who had to move and left no contact information, he set up an office with a server and 20 clients, my main question is he has "Microsoft Exchange Server" installed which is great for syncing email accounts back up when the client computers fail, It's just that I have never worked with MES before, and I am curious is it Web based?, meaning that their mail is backed up redundantly in the MES cloud?, or is it Locally based on the Physical Server in the office?, I signed into the server and do not see any email oriented shares, I only see shared Network Drives.. Forgive me my ignorance I just want to be prepared in case the email side of their infrastructure goes down, and I have no experience in that area.. THANKS in Advance!!

Problem: Outlook starts normally with a POP3 account in a POP3 Outlook profile. However, I have a work Exchange account which I configured using instructions yesterday. Worked fine. Yet today, Outlook crashes - fails on opening Microsoft Exchange Account. Hangs and then forced exit produces Microsoft error report. On restarting, Outlook says that "outlookaddin.dll" caused a serious error and has been disabled. Disabling it means that Outlook no longer pulls down emails from Exchange. Re-enabling it causes the crash again, Catch-22.

Versions:
Dell XPS M1210 - brand new.
Microsoft XP Professional SP2 (fully patched)
Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 SP2 (fully patched)
McAfee SecurityCenter pre-loaded by Dell.

I configured the Exchange profile yesterday and it worked fine. Changes -- possible cuplrits? -- in the meantime:

1. A large McAfee patch was installed semi-automatically.
2. Attempted to install Treo 650 Palm Hotsync. This did not complete successfully. Hung while hotsyncing to Outlook. Then uninstalled successfully.

What I've tried, but which does not fix the problem:

a. Detect and Repair run within Outlook completes successfully.
b. Disabled and uninstalled McAfee Spamkiller.
c. Remove the Exchange profile through Control Panel > Mail, and create a new one with a different name.

Suggestions very gratefully received!

Hi,

Does anyone here know how to detele mass emails from a users exchange 2007 mailbox without actually doing this using the outlook client or web outlook?

In other words anyone know if this is possible using the exchange managment console or exchange power shell??

I dont want to export a mailbox or move messages. i just want to be able to delete messages with certain words in the subject line.

Thanks in Advance

A:Microsoft Exchange Server 2007

Look up the Exchange Management Wizard (ExMerge). It still works with Exchange 2007, but you can't install it on the Exchange server itself.

That will do what you want.

You can also do it with the Exchange Management Shell (PowerShell) but I haven't looked up how because ExMerge does what I need.

Wat email application are you using? Windows Mail, Microsoft Outlook, Thyunderbird, etc.? Has it been configured for your email account? That message usually means there's a problem with your client's setup and less often by an actual problem with the server.

Have a client with an exchange server... There's been several instances where the Email to some addresses have not gone through. Sometimes they go through, some times they don't. The main issues is that some instances the server tires to send the email for about a week before it sends out an email saying it couldn't be delivered. One case it took up to 2 weeks.

Shown below you can see it trying to send the email for 2 weeks and then finally it sends out a Non-Delivered Report.

Is there some setting to change it so it only tries to send for like 12-24 hours? Any ideas what to look for to see why these emails are failing? It's happened 7 times the last month, and to about 5 different email addresses.

Hiya

The Internet Mail Connector (IMC) enables Microsoft Exchange Server
to communicate with other mail servers via SMTP. When the IMC
receives an SMTP extended Hello (EHLO) protocol command from a
connecting SMTP server, it responds by sending a status reply that
starts with the following:
250-<Exchange server ID>Hello<Connecting server ID>

Where:
<Exchange server ID> is the fully-qualified domain name (FQDN) of
the Exchange server <Connecting server ID> is either the FQDN or
the IP address of the server that initiated the connection.

The FQDN would be used if the Exchange5.5 IMC is able to resolve
this information through a reverse DNS lookup; the IP address
would be used if a reverse DNS lookup was not possible or failed
to resolve the connecting servers IP address.

A security vulnerability results because of an unchecked buffer
In the IMC code that generates the response to the EHLO protocol
command. If the total length of the message exceeds a particular
value, the data would overrun the buffer. If the buffer were
overrun with random data, it would result in the failure of the
IMC. If, however, the buffer were overrun with carefully chosen
data, it could be possible for the attacker to run code in the
security context of the IMC, which runs as Exchange5.5 Service
Account.

It is important to note that the attacker could not simply send
Data to the IMC in order to overrun the buffer. Instead, the

Hi all,

Currently I use Microsoft Outlook 2007 with Windows 7 on my home computer and have around 5 e-mail accounts that go into 1 inbox using POP3. I recently started a new job and received a work e-mail that uses Outlook 2003 with Microsoft Exchange Server. I cannot access the e-mails through POP3 and so can just access them through the Web when I am not at work.

I would like to have access to all of my old e-mails at work so that I can search through them and would also like to see my tasks and calendar. Before I knew how my work e-mail was set up I was planning on synchronizing 2 outlooks using dropbox and true crypt, but I don't think this is possible. Is there a way I can run a 2nd instance of Outlook at work with the pst file from home so that at least I can have access to searches of my old e-mail? Is there a way to synchronize my home tasks or calendar with the outlook 2003 exchange server at work? Or can I use both a pst file and have the work e-mails stored on the server at work?

Thanks!

Hey all,

Not sure if I am posting this in the correct area. My husband has a problem and is texting all the information to me. He asked me to post here.

Running Microsoft Exchange Server 2007....Have a user whose PC was only able to load a default profile (which usually means the user or the PC could not authenticate to the AD domain.)

He ran through netwok ID on the PC, rejoined the PC to the domain and added the user ID when prompted. The user was able to load his profile with no problem and access all network resources except his Exchange mailbox.

When launching the Outlook client, he is continually prompted to enter his credentials which aren't accepted. When they try to log in to OWA, same issue.

This is occurring for the same user on multiple PCs and terminal servers. Tried disconnecting and reconnecting his mailbox in Exchange with no luck.

His Blackberry connected to BES 4.0 - can send and receive mail from his Exchange account with no problem.

He also added "I know I can always create a new mailbox and import the old mail into that but I am trying to avoid that."

Any thoughts? Thanks.

Try going to the Mail applet via the Control Panel.

That should bring up the Mail Setup - MS Exchange Settings applet. From there you have the choices to access the E-mail Accounts, Data Files, and Profiles applets.

But unlike most applications that are provided as .iso image files, the entire download is offered as individual files and folders. I can create an .iso. But I also like to keep true by using the proper disk image label. For example Exchange Server 2003 Enterprise is E3EVOLENG.
